"Already? Ah, that's very kind of you. It's very nice to hear from you again. At least someone around here is trustworthy.

Dynamite has been well. A little flooded with tasks from the Toon Resistance, in Woodchip- or Acorn Acres, as they call it, but they're doing their very best to manage it. I'm—" (his voice softens, rare for him) "—so proud of them.

I'm beginning to worry the mainstream Resistance might deliberately back up Dynamite with tasks, should they catch wind of our relationship, which happened to him regarding Dave in Brass. Mezzo. Whatever the name is. Admittedly, I... worry about this quite a bit, so it's nice to get it a little off my chest. Dynamite's telling me they won't let it get in between us, which, I certainly hope so.

As for myself, I've been doing about as well as I can be given all the noise around Toontown. The Toonsday Kingdom has been surprisingly very patient; it turns out some Toons are like myself in disliking noise. How surprising was that to learn?

Generally, I feel... lighter these days. Happier. A way I don't remember feeling before, it's hard to explain. But this is maybe the best I've ever felt, and I know exactly who I can thank for that. My partners, yes, but also my best friend I'm guessing you've mentioned. I hope he's faring well too."

"Pinky—" Billie's voice is devoid of the joy normally dripping off of every word she says, unable to even muster a smile in his presence. Not when there's a dark cloud of mistrust lingering from questions waiting to asked. "—did you know what Brain was going to do to Julia? Did you do anything to stop him? How could you still trust him after he tried to pry someone's autonomy from them? Just...why?"《 rip :'D 》

{ ☆ } ❝  Billie! Hello!  ❞  Pinky says with a bright grin and frantic wave of his hand, fingers fluttering and tail raised high with excitement before he bounds over to the female, coming on all fours for a speedier trek. Skidding to a halt at the tone that greets him, the limber mouse sits upright on his haunches, hands raising in his raptor-resting position and head cocking towards the side. An ear flops, other one perked slightly as if his body is confused about whether it wants to listen closer— to try and decipher what it is Billie is looking for —or droop downward in a show of unease thanks to that dull tone. It’s not like Billie to be so... gray.

Not unless it’s her fur, of course. But this isn’t physical gray, this is emotional gray. Or maybe beige would be a better example? No, that’s too neutral. She’s dull, but a disappointed dull. A gloomy, stormy gray... Brows knit and nose gives a few anxious twitches, tail limp against the ground and ears finally deciding to lie back.

With each question they slink further and further back, eyes wide and Pinky flinching as if they are physical blows. Wincing, he bites his bottom lip as the words rush over him, an assault of inquiries that make the snowy mouse skitter back a few steps, gaze flitting away as he stammers,  ❝  I-I didn’t know what he was planning to do... I- He never told me about the remote or- or the brain buttons... I didn’t know he was planning on taking her automobile.  ❞   And yet he still hadn’t done anything about it.  ❝  It didn’t seem like it was hurting her at first...  ❞  A weak excuse said in an even weaker voice, Pinky looking up at Billie with as much guilt as if he’d implanted the device himself.

And shouldn’t he feel it?

❝  And— And you’re not supposed to interfere when science things like that are happening.  ❞  The way he says this makes it sound like a hard-and-fast rule, like common knowledge he’s surprised Billie is unaware of. Confusion evident, tail wraps around himself as fingers curl inward more, upper arms held closer against his body like he’s retreating in on himself,  ❝  It’s bad to mess with that stuff. That how people get hurt! W-Worse than what happened to Julia, I mean... It’s- It’s a rule...  ❞  Voice wavers, head tilting and Pinky fidgeting,  ❝  I couldn’t help her. It’d just have made things worse. You don’t— You don’t mess with science things...  ❞  

Sounding like a mixture between trying to convince her and trying to remind himself, Pinky swallows thickly before shaking his head- trying to clear it. To silence it. To stop it. Just for a moment... You don’t mess with science things. It hurts to mess with science things. Besides, Brain was in charge... Brain is smart. Brain is capable. He knows what to do. When it comes to complicated stuff like that, he should know what to do.

❝  Brain... He’s not a bad person.  ❞  Gaze raises to look at Billie, blue hues unwavering and voice holding far more certainty than it’s had this entire conversation,  ❝  Sometimes he does bad things, and sometimes- he has trouble being nice to people... but he’s not all bad...  ❞  A swallow, ears raising upright as he states,  ❝  There’s no one I trust more than him.  ❞  { ☆ }

My portrayal of Chip is very headcanon-heavy, especially around 1) his mental health and 2) the nature and origin of the Override, so bear with me. Please don't correct anything that doesn't match up with canon here.

Speaking of non-canon stuff, my Chip - the one you'll be interacting with on this blog - belongs to my Corporate Clash canonverse. It's quite the AU ^^; Chip is one of several managers part of the Toonsday Kingdom, a covert collaborative effort between select Toons and Suits to put a true end to this war and to quiet each other's demons. Again, do not correct anything regarding AU lore, especially around managers associating with Toons.

If Chip is cold or standoffish to you, it's most likely not personal. He's doing his best to thaw the ice, though.

You can send asks in-character as anyone you want! Who you're playing as may affect how Chip answers you.

Chip is taken - specifically, in a closed polycule with Deputy Dynamite Sparkleberry (my OC) and my versions of the Major Player and Duck Shuffler - so he won't take kindly to outside flirting. I know, I know, we all have it hot for chainsaw!

I block liberally. Don't be shocked if you can't see me anymore.
