This is Tove Lo (Too-vuh-loo). I’ve had him now for nearly five weeks and I’m in love! 😻 He gets called Toovey most of the time, and he’s very sweet, cuddly and affectionate. He’s also a little rascal who likes to wrestle and loves to nestle his wet face all over mine while I’m trying to sleep. His meow is loud and near-constant if he wants something (usually food). He’s around five months old (we don’t know his exact age) and he has glaucoma in his left eye, which is under control at the moment. He’s learning to walk on a leash and is getting pretty good at travelling with me to visit family and friends. You may think upon first glance that this is an ordinary stool but it is anything but ordinary!!! In fact it is extraordinary!!! This is an Elizabeth ll limed oak coronation stool with a blue velvet seat and chamfered legs. Made for the coronation of Elizabeth ll which took place on June 2nd. 1953 at Westminster Abbey in London. Elizabeth was 25 years old when she was crowned Queen. The invited guests were offered the opportunity to purchase their stools after the event and this is one of them!!! I am so thrilled to own this piece of history!!! I bid for this the other day @tooveysauctions and was so excited to be the one to get it!!! I have bought many treasures over the years here and enjoy wandering around and seeing everything.
