If Danganronpa: Another Despair Academy had an English cast
So I recently made a post very similar to this where I talked about who a hypothetical English voice cast for Our World Is Ended would be. I kind of enjoyed making that post, so I decided to do something similar with the cast of a Danganronpa fan game that has been featured prominently on my chanel and thats the Danganronpa: Another series. Being a Korean fan game, the original dub of Danganronpa Another has barely any dialogue to speak of. In fact, the only two characters in the series who speak often are Yuki and Sora, the protagonists of the two games, but that’s when they’re in trials. As of right now, a group of people is working on an English dub for the second game. This is why I’m specifically going to talk about the first game in the series, and bare in mind 2 things.
1) There will be some pretty heavy spoilers that I talk about in this post, so if you’re going to read it, please play the game, watch a playthrough or read up on it first.
2) If by any chance the first game gets a dub and the following people I do mention end up voicing the characters, I assure you it is purely coincidental. I wouldn’t even call this a hypothetical scenario so much as I’d call it a basic thought process of my weird weird mind.
Without further ado, let’s begin.
Yuki Maeda: Yuri Lowenthal
In the current dub for the second game, Yuki is being voiced by a user by the name of Soluri, who is pretty talented in their right, but my thought process for an alternative voice actor would be this. Yuki as a protagonist takes a very similar standing as Makoto Naegi and Hajime Hinata, whom are voiced by Bryce Papenbrook and Johnny Yong Bosch respectively, so if I was given a choice to choose who could voice act him, then I think Yuri Lowenthal would be a fitting choice, since he’s also often voiced protagonists. Being someone who often does work in famous franchises, his voice work includes Marth from Fire Emblem, Yosuke Hanamura in Persona, Ben Tennyson in many Ben 10 works, Klavier Gavin in Ace Attorney, Simon in Gurren Lagann and Suzaku from Code Geass. However, he’d also be a fitting choice since I believe he’d be able to do a good job as both the somwhat cowardly and submissive Yuki as well as the mysterious and somewhat stoically dangerous Utsuro, as he is also the main VA for Sasuke in Naruto and Alucard in Castlevania.
Akane Taira: Monica Rial
Akane’s basic character throughout the majority of the game is that she’s lighthearted and even though the killing game is getting to her just as much as everyone else, she still finds a way to lighten the atmosphere, and is a usually cheery and kind person, if a little scary when angry. However, her true nature is something much more freakish, being, in actuality, the mastermind behind the aforementioned killing game that she spends a lot of the game seemingly fighting against. For an English VA, I think the best bet is Monica Rial, who has previously voiced in Danganronpa as Sayaka Maizono in the Danganronpa anime. The reason for my choice is she has previously voiced usually nice, if a little stern, characters like Bulma from Dragon Ball, Tsuyu Asui from My Hero Academia, May Chang from Full Metal Alchemist, Tsubaki from Soul Eater, Kayano from Assassination Classroom, Mirajane Strauss from Fairy Tale and Sakura from CardCaptor Sakura. However, she’s not one to shy away from maniacal villains, or generally creepy characters either, also voicing Tanya from Saga of Tanya the Evil, Krul Tepes from Seraph of the End or Stocking from Panty and Stocking. Also doing the voice of Misaki Ayuzawa from Maid Sama and Mey-rin in Black Butler, she’s not new to voicing maid characters.
Tsurugi Kinjo: Crispin Freeman
Having already done voice work in a main Danganronpa game, albeit for a very unlikable character, I ruled out Matthew Mercer for this one. I can only really describe Tsurugi as the Nagito Komaeda of this series. He has good intentions, but a really messed up way of thinking, even at times quite self-deprecating and reflecting on his own incapabilities to stop the killing game and catch the mastermind. Like I already said, he seems like he’d be voiced by a deep voiced character like Matt Mercer, but when it comes to characters like that, Crispin Freeman is a safe bet. Some of the rightous and/or badass characters that he’s lent his voice to include Winston from Overwatch, Kyon in the Haruhi Suzumiya series, Tsume in Wolf’s Rain and more, but can also do a pretty good crazy character every once in a while, like Alucard from Hellsing, Itachi Uchiha from Naruto and Firefly in the Batman Arkham Series.
Rei Mekaru: Laura Post
Admittedly, I was considering Monica Rial for this crude and shrewd character too. Mature and professional to a fault, barely showing any sort of real emotion and often insulting the other killing game participants for seemingly no reason, Rei is basically Another 2′s Byakuya Togami, intelligent, but rude. Having previously voiced condescending characters, Laura Post is a pretty good choice. I’m referring mostly to characters like Kill La Kill’s Ragyo Kiryuin and Fubuki/Blizzard from Hell from One Punch Man, as well as Diana Cavendish from Little Witch Academia and one of her first ever performances, Queen Nehelenia from Sailor Moon. However, Laura Post has also voiced rather gentle and friendly characters before, which would be a good way to highlight Rei’s secret soft side. Characters like Nozomi Tojo from Love Live and her most recent role, Kasumi Yoshizawa from Persona 5 Royal.
Haruhiko “Haru” Kobashikawa: Sam Riegal
The minute I was introduced to him, I immediately thought, “Ok, he’s going to be the Kazuichi of this game isn’t he?” And to be honest, I don’t think I was that far off. However, even so, he seems more like Kaito if Kaito wasn’t necessarily a central character. Haru’s important, but he’s on the same level of importance as a character like say...Game 1 Toko. A sociable person who’s only goal is to get along well with everyone, he’s cheerful, laid back and more often than not pretty amusing to watch. Someone I believe to be fit for the role, having previously voiced a repertoire of pretty dorky and likeable characters, is Sam Riegal. By that, I mean he’s done the voice work of Teddy from Persona, Phoenix Wright in Ace Attorney, Emperor Awesome in Wander of Yonder, Kanata from Trinity Universe, Shirou Emiya from Fate/Stay Night and Donatello in a large number of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles works.
Teruya Otori: Kyle McCarly
Teruya is a character that returns for the second game, and his voice actor in that is NuzikVA. I was really stuck on this one, since Yuri Lowenthal, whom I picked for Yuki, was my main option for Teruya too, but my second option for him would be just as viable. One of Teruya’s most important aspects to his character is that he has a pretty unique western accent despite being Japanese, since his Ultimate Merchant talent means he’s travelled the world and picked up on a few things. On top of that, he’s pretty adorkable and a little childish. I’ve heard Yuri Lowenthal do accents before, which is why I considered it, but I figured anything Yuri Lowenthal can do, Kyle McCarly can do just as well, if not better. He’s a voice actor who’s lines are packed full of expression and some of his previous work includes 9S from Neir: Automata, Hyde in Cross Tag Battle, Hal in Astral Chain, Gatekeeper in Fire Emblem Three Houses and Narancia in JoJo Part 5.
Satsuki Iranami: Deva Marie Gregory
While she was a character that I found initially very irritating and she was definitely the one I had to warm to the most, I won’t deny that Satsuki Iranami is like 70% of the humour and happiness in this game. Similarly to Ibuki, she tends to act childish and make jokes in very tense situations and as described by Yuki as “a person that makes you tired just by talking with her” or something along those lines. Now, this might seem like a pretty obscure and strange choice for a VA, but my choice for a voice is Deva Marie Gregory. It’s obscure, since she is relatively new to the voice acting industry, only voicing one character in one franchise so far. However, that character is Flayn from Fire Emblem Three Houses, arguably one of the characters with the more comedic dialogue. I can totally picture her playing an “In-your-face” practical joker character like Satsuki, making common wisecracks, and it’s something I’d really like to bear witness to.
Mitsuhiro “Mitch” Higa: Joe Brogie
Possibly my least favourite character in this game, he’s essentially a worse version of Leon Kuwata from the first game. He’s genuinely kind of a chill guy, but his status as the Ultimate Soccer Player and his world fame makes him more than a little arrogant and cocky and often ignores people who he doesn’t care for. Joe Brogie is my choice for him, despite being a relatively new voice actor. His previous work includes the player character from God Eater 3, Linus from Fire Emblem Heroes, Donatello from Injustice 2 and Sylvain Jose Gautier from Fire Emblem Three Houses. However, despite his few roles and lacking history of voices, he’s talented and capable nonetheless.
Kizuna Tomori: Tia Ballard
Kizuna can be described in the following words: Cutesy, flirtatious and distrustful. I know those phrases sound mutually exclusive to each other, but trust me, it’s true. Obviously, her nature just changes depending on the situation, since she’s lighthearted and merry more often than not, but in a tense situation becomes suspicious, snappy and even physically violent. I picture her having a high voice, and when taking her character into account, I think the best bet is Tia Ballard. The main reason for my choice is that Tia’s most common voices belong to generally “moe” anime girls, but she voices them in a way that doesn’t sound annoyingly high pitched like how Stephanie Sheh does with Mikan in Danganronpa 2. If Ballard voiced Kizuna, she could pretty much perfectly land the “cutesy at first, but angry when provoked” attitude that Kizuna has. Some of her previous work includes Marron from Dragon Ball, Happy from Fairy Tail, Chiho Sasaki from The Devil is a Part Timer, Takao from D-Frag, Zero Two from Darling in the Franxx and has actually voiced in Danganronpa previously as Daisaku Bandai in Danganronpa 3.
Mikako Kurokawa: Brittany Cox
Extremely similarly to my choice for Satsuki, my choice for Mikako has also only ever been in one game, and it’s the same game as my choice for Satsuki actually. Mikako is a quiet person and she isn’t much of a talker, and when she does she sticks to short replies after long periods of silence, often causing people to forget she's around or becoming surprised when she eventually speaks up. She is unresponsive in a conversation and avoids making eye contact with anyone she talks to which seems rude, but her past explains why. The character Brittany Cox plays in Three Houses is Ingrid Galatea, who is generally a pretty merry, if a little serious and motherly, character, who’s personality isn’t a quiet one. However, while her voice acting is really good, Brittany Cox has a bit of a stoic, monotone and quiet voice, that I believe would fit Mikako perfectly.
Kinji Uehara: Robbie Daymond
There were a few reasons why I chose this person for this characters voice, but I’ll talk about those in a moment. Kinji is the good type of priest, one who is serious and quiet, but is a good listener, and respectful of people to a point where he doesn’t force his religious ideals onto others. However, when put under immense amounts of pressure, he can break down and turn somewhat psychotic. Hence my choice for his voice actor. Robbie Daymond is a personal favourite of mine, since he has a special talent of playing characters such as Goro Akechi and Hubert Vestra, from Persona and Three Houses respectively; characters who for the most part are calm, reserved, quiet and in Akechi’s case, somewhat kind. However, after certain points in the games stories, the two characters turn inexplicably evil and crazy, and the voice work and the shift in tone has such an amazing range that it’s hard to believe it’s the same guy. Seriously, look up Daymond’s work as Akechi, it’s honestly amazing and is the type of voice I’d honestly expect for Kinji when he breaks down. Alongside those two roles, Daymond also voices Prompto in Final Fantasy 15, Reinhard in RE:Zero, Professor Willow in Pokemon, Gilthunder in Nanatsu No Taizai and Mumen Rider in One Punch Man.
Kiyoka Maki: Colleen Clinkenbeard
A girl with a personality that doesn’t match her talent, Kiyoka Maki is outgoing and carefree and doesn’t have an awful lot of care for her talent, being way more interested in more effeminate things than guns. When I first saw Kiyoka and was introduced to her character, for some reason I thought “This is the type of character Colleen Clinkenbeard would voice.” Originally I was going to cast Clinkenbeard as Teruya before I realised Teruya wouldn’t necessarily have a child-like voice. Clinkenbeard however, does have experience of voicing male anime characters, and a lot of characters that scream a lot, Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece and Young Gohan being the prime examples. Alongside that, she’s also voiced another gunslinger in Full Metal Alchemist as Riza Hawkeye, as well as Momo Yaoyorozu in My Hero Academia, Rachel Moore in Case Closed, Erza Scarlet in Fairy Tail and previously in Danganronpa 3 as the loveable Chisa Yukizome.
Ayame Hatano: Karen Strassman
Ayame is a stoic and strong-willed person. Although she appears to be perfectly calm in most situations, she admits that she can be awkward especially during conversations, and as a result, she has a tendency to ramble and wander off in her own, or not talk much at all. To me, she seems like a character that someone like Karen Strassman would lend her voice to, since she’s played several characters with those personality traits before. To name a few, there’s Aigis and Nanako from Persona and she’s also voiced Anna in several Fire Emblem games. She’s also played Kallen Stadtfeld in Code Geass, Miyuki Takara in Lucky Star and Rouge the Bat in several Sonic the Hedghog games.
Kanata Inori: Felicia Angelle
I was also considering casting Tia Ballard for this character too, but unlike Kizuna, Kanata genuinely seems like a moe character that would have a high voice. Kanata is a sweet girl who wishes nothing more than the comfort of her patients and everyone else around her. Exceedingly formal and polite, she addresses her classmates as Mr or Ms, like how Hifumi Yamada does in the first game. My choice for her is Felicia Angelle, who’s repertoire consists of both cute and geeky anime girls, as well a little bit of the scary stuff too. This includes Tohru Hagakure from My Hero Academia, Perona from One Piece, The Supreme Kai of Time from Dragon Ball Xenoverse, Shinoa Hiragi from Seraph of the end, Shaltear from Overlord, Georgie from Maid Dragon and has previously been in the Danganronpa anime, playing Aoi Asahina.
Kakeru Yamaguchi: J Michael Tatum
I have a pretty good reason for this cast. Becoming a legal prodigy when he was quite young, Kakeru is a character who seems to have a split personality, but on a level way less extreme than that of Toko Fukawa. Essentially, he’s usually quite a timid and shy person, that finds it hard to hold a conversation, but when he’s in the courtroom or a class trial, he becomes quite loud and brash in a way similar to that of Nekomaru in the second game. His personality reminds me that of characters like Tenya Iida from My Hero Academia and Rei Ryugazaki from Free! both of whom are voiced by J Michal Tatum, whom is my choice for Kakeru. Tatum has also voiced Zarbon from Dragon Ball, Commander Erwin from Attack on Titan, Rintaro Okabe from Steins:Gate, Scar from Full Metal Alchemist, France from Hetalia and Sebastian from Black Butler.
Yamato Kisaragi: Max Mittleman
Yamato is almost as crazy an inventor as Miu, sans the whole sexual and perverted invention parts. Being a character who’s introduced a little later into the story, Yamato is pretty quirky, energetic and honestly friendly, but that leads people to be a little doubtful of him, Tsurugi in particular. His energetic character and his genuine feel make me think that someone who could voice him is Max Mittleman. Mittleman’s previous voices include Plag from Miraculous Ladybug, Ryuji Sakamoto from Persona, Saitama from One Punch Man, King from Natatsu No Taizai, Meruem in HunterXHunter and more
So that’s what I got. If you liked this, then leave me a heart and repost if you want. If you have any other recommendations for Japanese exclusive projects I should assign voice actors to, then let me know.

Chapter 5
On Your Own
Chapter 5 - On Your Own
Step 8 - Do Your Job
Congratulations! You have finished the basics of dimension traveling, and now you must pave your own path. No doubt that it will be fraught with danger and near-death experiences, but you have mastered the basics so now nothing can step in your way! The rest of this book will be filled with tailor-made tips and tricks from your protector eorum on what to do in a couple of strange situations specific to your dimension.
With that, we, the council of infinitum, bid you good luck on your mission.
Tazuna, the bridge-builder whose name I suddenly remembered, then burst into a monologue about the situation his town was in, and being the type of person with an attention span of a 7 year old child, I immediately zoned out, fiddling with my fingers as if they were the most interesting thing to ever exist. There were more important things to think about that Tazuna's sob story, like how to stop Zabuza and Haku from dying, how to brush off accusations from Sasuke, Sakura, Naruto and Kakashi, and most importantly, how to make it to the end of the story-line.
I blanched as I realised Naruto's face was right in front of me, his nose a few millimetres from mine, as he asked, "Yo, [f.name]. Can you see if I become Hokage with your fortune-telling? I'm totally the Hokage in the future, right?" There were several things that happened after Naruto asked that:
1. I screamed. 2. Naruto screamed. 3. I slapped Naruto in the face. 4. Naruto screamed louder. 5. I screamed. 6. Sakura screamed. 7. Kakashi sighed.
Sasuke could feel his eyebrow twitch in frustration at the sight of the [colour] haired girl apologising profusely to Naruto, the latter sporting a large red hand-print on the side of his face. His usual scowl painted on his face, Sasuke slouched further into himself, wanting for this mission to be done and over with, as if he was the only one that wished for that.
You had stopped apologising to Naruto after the 15th time, before pondering whether or not to answer his question, 'If I tell Naruto that he will be Hokage, would he still work as hard as he did in the anime series? Or will he slack off?' Deciding that you liked, and I quote, 'A little sprinkle of drama in your life,' You just replied with a vague, "Eh, maybe. Maybe not. The future can change and the spirits haven't told me that, yet."
Naruto looked a bit too pleased at your vague answer, Sakura was struggling to keep a neutral face after nearly spluttering out a 'what', Kakashi merely looked amused, whilst Sasuke still had that annoying smirk on his face. You swore that one day. One day. You would wipe that condescending smirk off his face.
"Oh yeaaaahhh! Did you hear that, Sasuke?! I going to be the Hokage in the future." Naruto bragged, jumping around excitedly. Your [colour] eyes widening as you thought, 'I think I can see his ego inflating.'
"[f.name]-chan literally said maybe, Naruto!" Sakura interjected punching said boy in the back of the head, which then instantly halved Naruto's ego.
Just before Naruto was about to retort, no doubt with his phrase 'believe it', Sasuke quickly cut in, his voice cold and mocking, "If anyone is going to be Hokage, it's going to be me, you idiot."
"That's not true, you bastard!"
You turned to Sakura, "Does this usually happen? Or is this like a once in a blue-moon sort of thing?"
Sakura only replied with a tired sigh, and by doing so, answered your question. With a teary face, you pat Sakura on the shoulder reassuringly, "I'm sorry, Sakura. I don't know how you live with this. But, now. I'm here to help you live through this. Let's get through this together."
Thus, the greatest friendship between two people was born, out of the necessity to live and survive with the idiotic rivalry between their two teammates.
"Thank you for taking us this far." Tazuna said, as the 6 of us disembarked from the the small vessel. The boat driver nodded, waving goodbye as he slowly disappeared out of sight.
You stretched your legs, the cramps from sitting down for too long finally getting to you. You sighed in content, feeling the satisfying crack of your shoulders and knees as you elongated your limbs and contorted your body into weird shapes. Sakura giggled at your antics whilst Sasuke and Naruto continued to butt heads.
Walking down the dirt path, Sakura and you bonded over training techniques as she taught you about the basics of being a ninja. In other words, it had been a few months since you had arrived in Naruto's dimension but only now had you started to learn the basics of being a ninja, Ninja 101 if you will. Apparently, the fact that Naruto had done nothing in the past attack weighed heavily on his mind, as he mindlessly threw kunais in a couple of directions in an effort to not be outdone by Sasuke.
"Hey, Naruto! Stop trying to show off!" Sakura berated.
"Don't use kunai knives so carelessly, Naruto!" Kakashi added.
But to your amusement, Naruto immediately threw another kunai knife in another direction only to find a petrified white rabbit. As you stood there nonchalantly, watching Naruto cuddle this terrified poor bunny, you looked at one of Naruto's kunai knives that had struck the ground next to your feet, missing out on Kakashi's warning of, "Get down!"
You bent down slowly to pick it up, thinking, 'Huh, these don't look that hard to throw. But, you know what would be cool to have in this world? A gun. I would like a gun.' Feeling the sudden rush of air fly above you, you stood back up, only to jolt at the sight of a massive sword stuck in a tree with a half-naked, masked man perched on top of it. 'Wait, what the fuck did I just miss?'
"Ah, if it isn't the Rogue Ninja of the Hidden Mist, Zabuz-"
With absolutely no tact in mind, you spoke cutting off Kakashi's introduction of this peasant secondary character, "Having leg-warmers and arm-warmers without a shirt is just a contradiction you know. Make up your mind, are you cold or what?"
"[f.name]! This isn't the time to joke around." Sakura hurriedly whispered out.
"Nevermind that, just get into Manji battle formation and protect Tazuna!" Kakashi ordered, his hand reaching up to unmask his other eye. Sakura, Sasuke and Naruto quickly formed around Tazuna.
You blinked slowly, before whispering to yourself, "They don't teach you this Manji formation shit in college." As you turned to protect the rear, continuing on to say to the others, "I've got all your backs, because no one has the heart to tell me where to stand."
Slipping off your footwear once again, you ignored Sakura's exclamation of, “[f.name], this isn't the time to worry about your shoes!" Placing the shoes next to you, you got into your own battle stance, closing your eyes to try and focus on the vibrations through the earth.
In other words, you attempted to pull off Toph's seismic sense. Granted, your were not that great at it, but if could help in this situation where you knew this half-naked man would create a thick fog in an effort to blind all of you. As you closed your eyes, you feel Zabuza leave his perch on the tree, and Sakura gasping out a, "Where did he go?"
Sighing, you opened your eyes to the sight of a thick fog before praying quickly in your head, 'To whatever higher being exists, I beg of you to please let this shit pass quickly. Please.'
My prayers were apparently not heard, as there were a few expositional points we had to get through, like what is the Sharingan, what is Zabuza's fucked up back story, what Kakashi's Sharingan could do, what the bingo book is, etc..
Zoning out for most of it, I jolted when Zabuza's voice cut through the mist, "Eight points."
"Huh, what's that?" Sakura asked, her green eyes flickering around trying to place down where Zabuza was.
Zabuza's reply was calm, "The larynx, the spine, the lungs, the liver. The jugular and the subclavian arteries. The kidneys, the heart. Now then, which vulnerable spot would be good?"
Piping up, I quickly cut in, "Uh, not to be such a Debbie downer, but I prefer literally none of those. I think any of us prefer those methods. I would like to die peacefully in my sleep, thank you very much."
I was ignored to the nth degree.
Visibly drooping, I started to only focus on keeping Zabuza far away from Tazuna, which was rather successful since the ground just happened to get super slippery whenever Zabuza got too close, or when a random wall of earth popped out to force Zabuza to change directions, or the fact there just happened to be a ball of fire staring him straight in the face when he nearly succeeded.
I watched with a blank look on my face as Zabuza and Kakashi played a game of 'Which one of us is the real one?' Blinking slowly, I observed Kakashi get stuck in a ball of water, snickering quietly at the distortion the ripples created of his face. As Naruto and Sasuke teamed up to attempt to take down Zabuza's water clone as Sakura and I kept an eye on Mr President [Tazuna's new nickname which I came up with in the past 10 minutes], I turned to Sakura, "Sakura, what I'm about to do is very dangerous. So first of all, do not try this at home. Secondly, please make sure that Zabuza doesn't decide to go ape shit on us and kill me from behind. Got it?"
When Sakura gave me a quick nod, I stepped forward and took a deep breath. Focusing on the water prison that Kakashi was in, I tried to find a way to grasp onto it, just a sliver of water just so I can break this prison open. I could feel a grin split my lips, as I chuckled. 'There it is, my opening.'

A/N: Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me to continue this story. I really thought you guys didn’t like it enough to care if I didn’t finish this. ^^;
This is unbeta’d. All mistakes are my own. Sorry about that!
“I’m sorry I’m late!” Sarada plopped on the seat in front of her best friend and released a deep sigh. Her hair was in disarray, and her clothes were wrinkled. It was very un-Sarada like.
“Honestly!” Chocho pouted. “I never get to see you anymore and when we do, you’re late! I had to start eating while waiting.” She took a big bite of her pasta and continued to pout at her friend.
Sarada laughed nervously. “Please go ahead. I’m really sorry. Kagura-kun didn’t want me to leave.”
Chocho’s amber eyes scanned her friend again, landed on the yellow scarf around her neck, and smirked. “Oh? I wonder what you two were doing for him to not want you to leave.”
Sarada froze and looked away, hiding the heat that had risen to her cheeks. “It’s not like that!”
She laughed and munched on her food some more. “No shame, girl. But really, Sarada. He’s always with you. We never get to hang out with you anymore.”
“I know, I know.” Sarada slumped back in her chair and released a heavy sigh. “Mama and Papa have been wanting to see me more often, too. I’m just glad I get to see Mitsuki since he’s been helping Mama these days and staying over more often.”
“Ooh? He got that internship he wanted in Auntie Sakura’s hospital?”
Sarada shook her head. “I don’t think you can call it that, but I think he has a good chance of getting it. He comes over and stays in Mama’s library, and she goes over her cases with him.” Sarada waved her hand in the air. “You know how Mama favors him.”
Chocho nodded and spoke in between bites, “Well, it seems like he’s been struck with the lovebug. Too bad for him, Mitsuki will never stand a chance with me.”
Sarada blinked. “What are you talking about?”
The brunette let out a loud and dramatic sigh. “You really have been gone and out of the loop! A few days ago, we were at Wasabi’s place. He confessed to having feelings for someone, but we couldn’t get him to tell us who.”
“Mitsuki likes someone?” Sarada grinned. It was so unlike him, but she was glad he finally had found someone. She made a mental note to go and interrogate him later.
Later that day, Sarada was packing up her books in the library, when one of her friends approached her.
“Hello there.”
“Oh, Sumire.” Sarada pushed her glasses back up the bridge of her nose and put her books back down on the table. “Doing some studying, too?”
Sumire smiled and looked down. “Actually, I wanted to ask you something, and I hope you don’t think I’m being too bold.”
Sarada grinned. “Don’t be silly. We’re friends. Ask away.”
The girl shuffled a bit before she finally raised her gaze and made eye contact. “Do you like Boruto?”
“Me?” Sarada was shocked, but managed to smile. “No way.”
“Well, I do.” Sumire admitted.
This confession made Sarada’s mind go blank, but she was certain her face was betraying her, and showing her confusion evidently.
Sumire giggled. “I wanted to ask you if--if you thought he might like me, too? I want to ask him out. Do you think he’ll say yes?”
Her dark eyes widened and her lips parted. That was not what Sarada was expecting to hear. She stared on for a few more seconds, and Sumire was patient enough to smile and wait kindly for her response. Sarada shook her head and said, “Boruto goes on a lot of dates, as far as I know, he’s never turned a girl down.”
Sumire’s eyes lit up and her smile grew. She looked so happy, and yet it twisted Sarada’s gut to think about Sumire and Boruto dating. Her pocket started vibrating and she fished out her phone. She looked at the screen.
Mitsuki: where are you?
Sarada raised a brow and took a peek at her watch. “Oh! I need to go!” She hastily stuffed her books in her bag and slung it over her shoulder. “I’ll see you soon.” She ran out of the library, earning a heated glare from the librarian but that didn’t matter to Sarada. She was late, again.
Sarada jogged over to Mitsuki’s car, holding on to the strap of her duffel bag, and an apology ready on her lips. She knew Mitsuki wouldn't even need to hear it, but she said it anyway. “I'm so sorry I'm late!”
Mitsuki smiled, took her bag and placed it in the compartment. “It's no big deal, Sarada. Were you with Kagura-san?”
She shook her head. “No. I was at the library with Sumire.”
His fingers nearly got caught on the compartment’s lock. “Ah.” His clumsiness did not go unnoticed. Sarada blinked a few times, but chose to stay quiet. Instead, she hopped in the passenger seat and strapped her seat belt on.
The car ride was mostly quiet, but comfortable. Mitsuki’s presence always calmed her, and placed her mind in a state of peace. Sarada always did like Mitsuki’s driving. It was fast and smooth, but still careful. They chatted here and there, catching up with each other's classes and other extracurricular activities. Soon enough, they reached the Uchiha Mansion, and Mitsuki pulled up the front. The two unloaded their belongings, and entered.
Sharp steps echoed from the top of the stairs. “Mitsuki, Sarada, welcome home.”
The boy bowed slightly, while Sarada climbed a few steps to give her mother a kiss on the cheek. “I'm home, Mama.”
Sakura smiled at the two and said, “Why don't you two freshen up first? Dinner will be ready in a bit. Mitsuki, you'll be staying the night.” Sakura wasn't requesting, it was a statement. One which the boy was accustomed to. He only nodded and said his thanks.
Both of them carried their belongings and made their way up their rooms. Since Mitsuki and Sarada had been friends for a long time, Sakura turned one of the guest rooms into his own room.
Mitsuki turned the knob and pushed the door open. Cream colored walls, light colored furniture, and the distinct scent of the Uchiha Manor mixed with his own scent welcomed him back. The twin bed was well made, and had fresh light blue sheets with abstract snake patterns. There was a desk, a bookshelf, his own bathroom, and a large window that overlooked the garden. He placed his bag down on the floor and laid down on the bed, then decided to stare at the ceiling for a few moments. There were glow in the dark stars stickered on. He smirked remembering how those got there. Mitsuki used to be afraid of the dark, and even if he would never admit it, Boruto and Sarada knew that and understood. One day when they were only twelve, he came by the Uchiha Mansion to drop off some borrowed books, and found his best friends standing on each other’s shoulders trying to stick the stars on. The memory made him smile wider, and he closed his eyes.
The three of them were no longer twelve, and even if they were all still friends, things really haven't been the same. Boruto and Sarada were growing distant with one another, and Mitsuki was getting busier with his classes. Not to mention trying to juggle his work with Sakura.
He opened his eyes. His parent was in the medical field too, and he was often away. He could count with his fingers the time he'd spent with his parent, but for all the times he had spent in this room, in this house, even the stars in the sky wouldn't be enough. Sarada was like a sister to him, and Sakura did far more than teach him how to be a good doctor. And Boruto… He always was Mitsuki’s sun. He made everything fun and interesting. But he wasn't so sure if he still thought that way since--
Knock knock.
Mitsuki sat up. “Yes?”
The door opened and Sarada popped her head in. “Dinner time.”
The two of them walked to the dining room and found Sakura placing down bowls of rice.
“Papa isn't here?” The slight disappointment in her voice did not go unnoticed by Mitsuki and by the way Sakura's green eyes softened, it didn't pass her by either.
“Your father is away on a business trip with Naruto. You know how urgent things pop up.”
Sarada simply nodded and took a seat at the left of the head of the table. Mitsuki sat next to her, but before Sakura sat down, she pulled her phone out and took a selfie of her, the food, and the two kids. Sarada and Mitsuki were quick to smile and hold up peace signs, already used to Sakura's quick photo ops.
Dinner was a lively affair, Sakura badgered the two with questions how their university life was going, and they both answered and indulged her. Sakura cracked a joke about how she was the “perfect balance” of a studious and party going girl during her college days, making Mitsuki and Sarada laugh.
On sync, both Sarada and Mitsuki’s phones dinged. The selfie Sakura took earlier was attached to the message.
Boruto: I can't believe you two didn't invite me to this! That's not fair, ya know?
Sarada smirked, and showed her mother the message. Mitsuki was typing up a reply but then a photo of Boruto with his arm around Sumire popped up on the screen, making Mitsuki stop and frown.
Boruto: Whatever! I'm hanging out with Sumire now. We have to get together on Monday. I think she’s into me. But then again, who isn’t? :>
Sarada was still holding her phone up for Sakura when the message and photo appeared. Her mother’s face lit up. “Does Boruto have a new girlfriend?”
Mitsuki and Sarada exchanged glances, both refused to say a word. Sarada looked at the photo, turned her screen off, and shoved the phone back into her pocket with a little more force than necessary. The tension hung in the air, thick and suffocating.
Sakura clapped her hands together, breaking the silence. “Okay, I think it's time for dessert.”

May I? Chapter 3
Summary: She’d been waiting for the one that would make her feel this way. That tenacious, profound, lingering emotion that no words can encompass. And now that she had, it had to be the one person she could not let into her heart. ItaSaku Soulmate A/U (or is it?). Non-Mass.
Rating: T. Subject to change.
1. Misconceptions | 2. Contemplations | 3. Decisions | 4. Resolutions
A/N: Hai yas I’m alive! Pls don’t hate me. This chapter needed a lot of thinking to get through, but I made sure to make it extra long to compensate for the wait! There’s a lot going on here and it’s pretty much an extra emotional rollercoaster (at least it was for me), but I hope that you like it!
Sakura yawned as she stretched tiredly, bending backwards over the back of her chair. The sun was just beginning to set, but Sakura found herself giddy with triumph. She’d been working with Shizune for the past month on developing a jutsu to accelerate bone healing, seeing as how most of their village’s occupants flooded their village daily to treat injuries ranging from fractured toes to a full-on pelvic reconstruction.
It didn’t help that the majority of Konoha’s shinobi -or any shinobi really- were always too impatient and headstrong to cooperate and let their injuries heal properly. The fact that the missions needed to sustain the village were also too many to complete with the rate of injuries occurring made their dear old Hokage quite cranky too. And a cranky Hokage meant exhausted, overworked apprentices who had almost incessant headaches from dealing with a tipsy, irritated superior who constantly shouted out her frustrations at the two of them. When poor Shizune almost burst into tears once from all the stress, Sakura suggested that they try to find a solution to their predicament. It managed to placate Tsunade slightly, and gave the two women something to focus on other than fiery blondes and paperwork. And silky-haired Uchiha prodigies.
“I think this is it, Sakura-chan!” Shizune’s smile was so infectious and Sakura herself found it hard not to beam brightly at the older woman.
“Now we just need to test it,” Shizune continued, looking over some of their notes from the day, “It’s been effective enough on the test material, now we just need an actual human with actual broken bones.”
Sakura grinned at her. “Give me an hour and I’ll get you two of those.”
Shizune looked exasperated. “It is generally not advised to crack your own teammates’ skeletons, Sakura.”
“Not when they’re as annoying as mine!” Sakura said with a laugh. “Besides, the two idiots are probably slamming each other’s faces into the ground as we speak. It’s an opportunity that we shouldn’t pass up, really.”
“Tomorrow, then,” Shizune countered, “we’ve been very productive today, I think we deserve to clock out early. And if you’re as tired as I am, you’ll need at least a long bath and a good night’s sleep before you even have the mind to deal with a patient.”
“You’re just going to talk Genma-san into giving you a massage tonight, aren’t you?” Sakura smirked at her. The older woman smiled slightly in return.
“Can you blame me?”
She really couldn’t. Genma was infamous for giving the best massages in Konoha -among other things that Sakura could not mention without resembling a red beet- and if she wasn’t such good friends with his wife, she’d be constantly bullying him into helping her relax her tightly wound muscles. She’d been aching for a massage that good ever since she received one from him after a particularly rough mission that left her neck pretty tense the whole way back. Her neck had never felt so good since.
“Go home to your husband, Shizune-san,” Sakura had started organising their notes in stacks, “and I’ll make sure I show up with two already shattered morons tomorrow.”
Before Shizune could respond, a knock sounded at the door, which opened at Shizune’s permission to whoever it was to enter. When a shock of blond hair greeted them, the two women couldn’t help but burst into giggles.
“Couldn’t you have mentioned a million ryo instead, Sakura-chan?” Shizune joked and Sakura sighed in mock-disappointment.
“Shishou’s luck is rubbing off on me.” She was pouting and Naruto looked confused for a second before his brain caught on.
“Saying good things, I hope?” He was grinning and making his way around the desk towards her. She smirked back at him.
“Of course not, you dummy,” Sakura said very matter-of-factly and laughed as her friend just rolled his eyes and wrapped his arms around her smaller frame in a giant bear hug. One which Sakura welcomed greatly.
“What brings you here? Are you hiding from Hinata? Did you upset her again?” she couldn’t help but tease when Naruto set her down, and he almost pouted at her.
“Sakura-chaaan!” he whined in protest and Sakura giggled and ruffled his messy hair in apology.
“Sasuke-teme wanted me to tell you that he wants us over at his place tomorrow for dinner,” he explained, “Hanabi’s coming over and he doesn’t want her to feel awkward, so we’re going. Hinata too.”
Sakura frowned.
“Won’t that make her feel more awkward?” she pondered aloud. “I mean, we could get pretty carried away sometimes, and she hasn’t known us for as long as we’ve known each other. I don’t want her to feel left out.”
Naruto shrugged. “Better than having her alone with an emotionless bastard and his terrifying father.”
“Good point,” Sakura quickly agreed, nodding to as though to emphasise it more to herself. “So we should be there, say around 7?”
“Yep! Hinata and I could pass by and we could all walk there together, if you want.”
“No that’s okay.” Sakura shook her head slightly. “I’ll probably come straight from here and it’s closer to the compound anyway, so you guys don’t need to make a detour.”
“Okay then!” Naruto gave her one of those always-sunny smiles and she couldn’t help but smile at his excitement. He bent to give her another hug, telling here that he couldn’t wait to see her tomorrow before he excused himself to Shizune and left the two women back to their interrupted discussion. Sakura couldn’t blame him, really. It had been a while since he’s gotten to properly spend time with her. And even when he did, she was usually all gloomy and depressive. She could always see how hurt he was that he couldn’t cheer her up, no matter what he did. But Sakura wasn’t going to think about that now.
“I’ll clean up, Shizune-san,” she said instead, returning to the scattered papers all over their desks. “We could check the orthopaedic ward tomorrow morning, see if there are any patients willing to be our test subjects.”
The brunette looked grateful to be finally leaving their shared office. She murmured her thanks and slipped quickly out the door, leaving a suddenly more tired Sakura to sigh and gather everything into a chronological order so that they wouldn’t be lost when they need to review their findings.
Opening the top drawer to her desk, Sakura was about to deposit the now neatly organised notes and articles inside, when something caught her eye.
There was something there that hadn’t been inside this morning.
Frowning, she picked up the offending object, practically throwing the contents of her hands into the drawer and slamming it shut. She examined the item in her hand, a thin white envelope, plain but for her name scribbled upon it in an oddly familiar script.
The furrow between her eyebrows growing deeper, Sakura sat in her desk chair and proceeded to carefully split the paper open.
The next morning, Sakura ran into Ino at the hospital, who informed her that she had run into Sasuke the night before and had gotten herself invited to their dinner.
“He sounded so nervous,” Ino had told her. “Said he wanted me there because we hadn’t all had a nice get together in ages and he wanted you to have fun.”
Sakura had frowned a little at her words. Wasn’t he doing this for Hanabi and not her? It was getting a little confusing.
“I think he’s trying to distract himself from Hanabi’s presence?” Ino had considered. “He sounded weirdly intimidated that she was going to be there, it’s not like him at all.”
It’s true. It wasn’t like Sasuke. She’d have to punch some answers out of him later.
All in all, what was supposed to be a Team 7 plus the Hyuuga sisters gathering became a slightly-out-of-control gathering with the addition of Ino, who brought Shikamaru along, and Neji who claimed that he couldn’t possibly let his two precious cousins be present on their own. And suddenly, what had begun as a bonding dinner became a dining room full of everyone and their soulmate, with the exception of her and Neji, and Sakura was more than a little overwhelmed by the time they’d all finished their food.
It wasn’t too bad, since the calm that Neji and Shikamaru offered balanced out the boisterousness at the table. And Ino, bless her, forward, charismatic Ino didn’t waste any time playfully baiting and joking with Hanabi, and the younger girl was comfortably being her lively, confident self with the rest of the group in no time.
It was fun and she laughed more than she usually did for the past few months, and she was glad that Sasuke’s stiff form was beginning to loosen up bit by bit, but there were too may Shikamaru-wrapping-his-arm-around-Ino or Naruto-and-Hinata-being-super cute moments for Sakura to loosen up entirely.
Quietly excusing herself, she slipped out of the dining room and made her way up to Sasuke’s room. It had been something they’d done since they were kids, climb from Sasuke’s window up to the roof and spend the rest of their time there until they had to go home. Sometimes they would plan missions, sometimes they’d just sit there with their mugs of hot chocolate, away from the loud bustle of Konoha.
Her pink strands danced softly to the wind, just a light breeze that barely made her skin erupt in gooseflesh. Just what she liked. She’d barely gotten to cross her legs underneath her when she heard a light thump behind her.
“Almost thirteen years, and this is the first time I’ve known that you were a fan of house parties,” Sakura teased, her eyes closed.
She could almost hear Sasuke roll his eyes, if that made any sense. He plopped himself beside her and they sat in silence for minutes.
“I don’t know what I’m doing,” Sasuke whispered suddenly. Sakura opened her eyes a fraction, glancing at him from the corner of her eye.
He was sitting cross-legged as well, almost seeming like he was meditating. But Sakura knew him better than that. She knew that close-to-invisible rigidity to his shoulders, the almost negligible lock of his jaw.
She couldn’t find anything to say. She didn’t know what she was doing herself, after all. That, and the fact that two more thumps resounded behind them not long after.
“It hasn’t been two hours, and you two are already sulking up here?” Ino’s tone was playful, carefully concealing her concern for the two of them. Sakura opened her eyes to see her blonde friend shove Sasuke aside with her foot, him scowling at her before scooting over to Sakura and letting Ino sit on his other side. Naruto had already sat himself across from them, the four of them forming a crooked semicircle.
“How did you know we were up here?” Sakura raised a thin eyebrow at Ino. The blonde snorted.
“Only had to follow this idiot up here. He seemed to know where to go.” Naruto looked ready to protest at being called an idiot, but only sighed with a resigned, but fond look on his face. Sakura uncrossed her legs and spread them in front of her, settling them in Naruto’s lap.
“So?” She didn’t need to specify who her question was directed towards. The four of them were already on the same page.
When Sasuke didn’t respond right away, Ino poked him in the ribs with her elbow.
“Speak up, Uchiha,” she poked him again, “we’ve got three stuck up Hyuuga and one ruffled pineapple head down in your dining room. We probably have only five minutes before they walk in on your parents trying to find us and get us all thrown out.”
“Hinata is not stuck up, you bimbo,” Naruto did protest this time, throwing a weird nut lying on the roof at her. Ino stuck her tongue out at him. He just huffed and rolled his eyes.
“Neither is Hanabi, for the matter,” Sasuke stated quietly, regaining the attention of his three companions. “She’s just…”
“What?” Sakura’s tone was much quieter this time. Sasuke looked so strange to her at that moment. Almost as if he was the one needing comfort for a change. She scooted closer to him and wrapped her arms around his torso, pulling his head down to rest on her shoulder.
“I don’t know if I can make her happy,” he mumbled into her shoulder. “I don’t know if I can be happy.”
“Did something happen?” Naruto sounded alarmed, and Sasuke groaned in response and stuffed his face deeper into Sakura’s sleeve.
“That’s the thing,” he sighed, “nothing happened. Nothing at all. I can’t feel anything beyond what I do for any other person I have no personal feud with. There’s no connection, no spark like I thought we might have had in the beginning.
“And we just sit there, not knowing what to talk about other than the best way to sharpen kunai,” Sasuke continued. Sakura and Ino’s eyes connected over his head, a look of understanding passing between them.
“I can feel that she’s starting to get attached somehow, and she’s been trying so hard, I know she has, and she’s been trying to catch my interest in anything but I can’t seem to be capable of anything but sitting there in front of her like a dead fish.”
The three of them could barely stifle their chuckles. It wasn’t a regular affair to see Sasuke so flustered.
“Have you tried relaxing a bit around her and just being yourself, Sasuke?” Sakura tried.
He made a face. “I am myself with her.”
“The you that we know and love,” Ino beat Sakura to her reply, “or the son of a bitch that rest of Konoha absolutely detests? Other than the ladies who desire your pretty face, of course.”
Sakura knew that Sasuke loved cheeky Ino. He appreciated her beyond words. Now though, he looked close to punching her in the face. Which did not deter the blonde at all, as she continued to tease him for a bit more while he tried to ignore her. Sakura personally thought he just didn’t want to grant Ino the satisfaction of seeing him smile.
“I just don’t want to make her miserable.” He ran his hand through his hair. “And maybe this sounds selfish, but I really don’t want to end up miserable because I’m stuck with someone I can’t love as well.”
“She is your soulmate, though,” Naruto interjected for this first time in the conversation. “Whatever happens, it should end up working out in the end.”
Ino snorted. “Naruto, you and Hinata probably belong to the satisfied five percent of the world’s population. It’s not the same for everyone else.”
Naruto looked almost upset by the notion. “That’s not true! There are plenty of people who are happy!”
“And I agree,” Ino returned calmly, “but that doesn’t mean that they’re the majority. You’re the only one out of the four of us currently in a functioning relationship, and that makes you the exception, not the rule.”
Naruto looked confused, and Sakura and Sasuke just stared at Ino with a bewildered, but scrutinising expression.
“Ino might not be completely in the wrong,” Sakura began carefully, “but that doesn’t mean that you have to be miserable either. You said she was trying, and I don’t believe that you aren’t, but maybe you should try a little differently.”
“And possibly not by inviting another half a dozen people to what should have been your dinner date with her.” Ino interrupted. Sasuke almost deflated.
Sakura looked thoughtful for a moment. “You could try being as open with her as you are with me. I think she’ll appreciate a bit of attitude, she can go back and forth for hours. And she might be a bit rough on the edges too, but a little softness always works with a girl.”
Ino was nodding and Sasuke sighed. “A little easier said than done, Pinky.”
“But not impossible.” She pinched his side. “And you’ll get there, just take it one baby step at a time. Now,” she directed her attention over to the girl sitting on his other side, “what on earth is your problem? You’ve been together practically since you started babbling, what could go wrong now?”
Ino’s cheeky smile froze on her face for a fraction of a second. Then it turned almost sour.
“Well,” she inhaled deeply, “Shika has another soulmate.”
“What?!” Naruto practically yelled, and Sasuke snapped up from his slouch on Sakura’s shoulder, looking at Ino wide-eyed. Sakura felt her chest tighten.
“He does,” Ino nodded. “Remember that blonde chick from Suna? The one with the huge fan? That’s her. She even has the same tattoo as I do and she said the same first words to him and everything.”
“Wait, wait,” Naruto held his hands up, “Shikamaru’s soulmate is the freaking Kazekage’s sister?”
“The one and only,” Ino let out a bitter laugh, “they found out during the Kage Summit.”
“Ino, the Kage Summit was two months ago…” Sasuke murmured softly, and Sakura’s eyes widened.
“You’ve known for that long?” she whispered. Ino nodded, her eyes starting to well up. “Why haven’t you said anything?”
“You’ve been so down for so long, I didn’t want to add to that. And then you were just beginning to finally get back to the old you and I just…”
“Don’t you dare.” Sakura was already crawling over Sasuke’s lap to her friend. As soon as Sakura wrapped her in a tight hug, Ino’s tears became uncontrollable.
“You do not hide your pain because I cannot deal properly with mine. I’m your best friend-“ Ino squeezed her tighter, “- and you will let me be a good friend to you just like you’ve been for me, no matter what I’m going through.”
“And you have the two of us as well,” Sasuke supplemented, very firmly. “If that’s you excuse, it doesn’t hold with either of us.”
“You know it, Ino-chan,” Naruto nodded.
“I know, I know, it’s just…” she trailed off, sniffling a little while Sakura dabbed at her cheeks with her sleeve.
“I felt too heartbroken to be able to be completely coherent. It’s not her fault that Shika already has a soulmate and it’s not his fault that it’s one of those instant connections and explosion of feelings that he can’t control. It would be so wrong to keep them apart just because I already exist but…” she started to hiccup, started to sob again.
“I just can’t live with him having feelings for another woman,” she cried and Sakura felt herself tearing up, “I can’t live with him smiling at her and teasing her and, and- touching her and being so- so intimate with her the way he’s supposed to only be w-with me.”
Sakura just held Ino as she cried till her eyes were dry, her heart breaking for her friend.
“I’m sorry I’ve been so selfish,” she whispered, running her hand over Ino’s hair over and over, “You’re my oldest friend. I should have known that you weren’t okay, I should have seen it the moment you found out.”
“That’s alright,” Ino whispered back, hugging her closely, “it’s not your fault, Sakura. And you’re still my best friend.” She nudged Sakura’s shoulder with hers, wiping her face dry. As soon as she could collect herself, she sat up straighter, though still leaning on Sakura a little.
“I’m meeting up with her tomorrow,” Ino announced.
“Do you want us to go with you?” Sasuke immediately asked, sounding every bit as helpless as Naruto looked, springing up at the opportunity to ease her situation.
“No.” She shook her hair firmly, sniffing. “No. This it between the two of us. We need to reach an agreement on this together. Shika doesn’t even know we’re meeting, we need to settle on a dynamic between the two of us before we can include him in the conversation, and we don’t have much time before she has to go back to Suna.”
Sakura nodded. The delegation from Suna on behalf of the Kazekage was only staying for three more days.
“We can meet up after?” she suggested instead, “you can sleep over at my place, and we can get that strawberry banana ice cream that you love so much and catch up on all the latest gossip.”
“Sounds like a plan, Forehead,” Ino giggled quietly, pressing her palms against her now sore eyes.
“I feel so stupid,” Sasuke muttered, rubbing his neck uncomfortably. The two women half turned to look at him.
“Look at me bitching about not being able to make good conversation while you two are practically in tears because of how fate has been a right asshole to you.”
“What does that make me, then?” Naruto snorted. “King of La La Land?”
“Suits you better than Hokage-sama,” Sasuke returned and the girls laughed, their friend mock-scowling at them.
“Then you shall be upgraded to Bitchy Teme.”
“And we’re Ms. Deformed Threesome and Ms. Can’t Locate My Soulmate?” Ino threw back.
“Don’t joke about that!” Naruto cried, looking almost upset with himself.
“It’s true, though,” Sakura said with a soft smile.
“Maybe he’s dead?” Ino asked.
“Nah, he can’t be. She’d know,” Sasuke answered her.
That was also true. Her Shishou had mentioned once how she felt a part of her was missing after Dan died. Sakura attributed it to her overflowing love for her dead fiancé. It wasn’t until Kakashi got more tipsy than he usually would when they went out to celebrate returning from one dreadful mission that she started to believe otherwise.
She’d drunkenly declared that she decided her soulmate was long dead and buried. And he just fixed her with a hard look and told her she’d know for sure if he was. That she wouldn’t be so carefree about it if she knew how it felt.
He told her about a girl named Rin. She was his soulmate, but he wasn’t hers. His words never matched her tattoo, and she ended up being matched with their third teammate instead. He wouldn’t tell her the details, but apparently a mission went bad because Rin wasn’t focused months after her soulmate died. And Kakashi just knew she was gone miles and miles before he got to her.
“Maybe you knew because you knew her too. But me, I don’t know what this guy even looks like,” she slurred, “he’ll probably kick the bucket without me feeling as little as a tiny pinch.”
Kakashi just stared at her for what felt like hours.
“Trust me Sakura-chan,” he finally spoke, sounding a lot more sober than he should have been.
“You’ll know.”
“Maybe I wish he was dead,” Sakura declared quietly, her mind back in the present. Itachi’s smiling face flashed into her head and she sighed.
“Maybe I wouldn’t feel so guilty then.”
She felt Ino sag against her. Saw Sasuke stiffen from the corner of her eye, and smiled as Naruto just decided to pretend he hadn’t heard her. The poor thing would probably start crying if he thought about it too much.
“Seriously though, who is happy with their soulmate?” Naruto’s thoughtful look turned horrified in the span of a second. “Or are we all just going to become hopelessly miserable at some point?”
Sasuke couldn’t help but chuckle at his friend’s distress. “My parents are actually very happy. Among many others, as you said.”
Naruto scrunched his eyebrows together. “How?”
“What do you mean how?”
“Teme, your father has the emotional capacity of a potato.” Naruto deadpanned.
“Hey!” Ino whined. “Don’t insult the potatoes.”
“And don’t insult my father.” Sasuke was grinning, but he kicked Naruto in the knee anyway.
“He’s a good husband, and a good father. A really good leader for the clan too. Itachi and I…” he trailed off for a few moments, “we have big shoes to fill.”
Nobody said anything to that. But they all silently agreed. Uchiha Fugaku was known as many things, and a formidable Clan Head was on top of the list.
“When did you know that Itachi wasn’t your soulmate?” Ino broke the silence suddenly.
Naruto looked panicked, but Sakura just smiled calmly at him. She’d been sulking so much for months that none of them dared to bring up Itachi’s name in front of her. It didn’t even occur to Sakura before that they really didn’t know the details, just that things between them ended before they even started.
“It’s okay Naruto,” she said when he still looked ready to pounce on Ino and carry her away.
“It was one of those hot days, you remember that strange heat wave last year.” Ino nodded silently.
“I managed to bully Pasty Face over here into a spar and we just went at it for a couple of hours.”
She inhaled.
“And then we were lying there like molten jelly, and Sasuke was helping me up from the ground so we could go shower and suddenly he was right behind me.”
She could remember it so clearly. She’d gasped as soon as she felt him, almost pressed against her back, her hand still in Sasuke’s.
“Your genjutsu is still in need of much improvement,” she could hear the teasing smile on his face, felt his breath tickle her ear.
“Perhaps I could interest you in some private training?” he’d continued in that cool, confident tenor. But she couldn’t smile at his teasing. Couldn’t turn around to face him for fear that she would burst into tears, being so close to him but unable to hold him in her grasp.
“I’m sorry,” she’d choked out instead, yanking her hand free of Sasuke’s hold. “I need to go.”
She’d bolted across the village to her apartment after, too shocked to react. The sobs came later that night.
“I didn’t hear what I expected to hear from him, and so I left,” Sakura finished for them, Ino patting her back soothingly.
Sasuke, however, had a strange look on his face.
“That was the first time that you spoke?”
“Yeah,” she nodded, giving him a puzzled look when his frown grew deeper.
“Is anything the matter?”
“No,” he answered quickly, causing her to raise an eyebrow at his direction. “Nothing at all.”
“Okay…” Sakura turned her head away from him and rested it on Ino’s shoulder. They slipped back into silence before Sakura decided to sit up, a small smile on her face.
“You know,” she started, “even if I don’t end up with who I want, even if I don’t find my soulmate at all, I’ll still be happy. Because I have you,” she looked at Sasuke then, “and Ino,” Ino squeezed her hand, “and Naruto.”
Her smile grew wider.
“And I love you. For all that you’ve done and all that I know you will do for me.”
“We love you too, Sakura-chan,” Ino whispered and hugged her again, and Sakura spread an arm behind her to grab at Sasuke’s shirt.
He crawled over to her, hugging her back, and Naruto needed no invitation to envelop all three of them in a giant hug.
They stayed like this until voices interrupted them, and they barely disentangled from their unusually long group hug to see the two Hyuuga sisters climb up to the roof, a triumphant look on Hanabi’s face.
“See! I told you!” she told her sister and skipped over to them.
“What are you all doing, hiding up here and leaving us with two weirdos downstairs for half an hour?” she was almost pouting adorably. Ino grinned and got up to steer her back down to the dining room, the rest of the group following.
“Sorry Hanabi-chan,” the blonde quipped, “we needed to give your man his daily dose of mockery away from Neji. We’ll initiate you into the Let’s All Make Fun of Sasuke club soon, don’t worry.”
The younger girl perked up at that. Sasuke almost looked scared.
“How did you know we were up there, by the way?” he asked instead.
“Your chakra signature, idiot!” she looked at him in mock-horror. Kept on ranting about how the oh-so-confident Uchiha Sasuke wouldn’t think of something so simple a pre-genin could know it. She’d only stopped in the middle of mockingly explaining how to conceal one’s chakra when he dipped his head down and kissed her on the cheek.
She went from cheeky jokester to stuttering mess in an instant, the only reaction she seemed to be capable of producing is a blush and incomplete words. He grabbed her hand in his, ushering her forward with a soft ‘come on’, followed by three grinning girls towards a bored Shikamaru and slightly horrified Neji, who quickly ducked back into the room, much to their amusement.
Shikamaru met them at the door, wrapping an arm around Ino’s shoulders. Looking back, Sakura could see his overly affectionate, almost apologetic gestures all night. Ino gave him a small smile and Sakura pushed the remaining couple behind them, telling them that she’ll prepare them some tea.
Turning on the light in the kitchen, Sakura set on boiling the leaves while preparing the tea set. As the kettle started screeching, she turned around to take it off the heat, only to find a masculine form passing by the door.
He froze when he saw her, backtracking a step to stand by the shoji screen. They looked at each other blankly for a few moments, then Itachi’s lips started to tug upwards.
Holding her hands over the pocket of her vest, where a small, folded piece of paper resided secretly, Sakura almost beamed at him.
And he gave her what might have been the largest grin she’d ever seen.
She almost skipped the entire way home, too overwhelmed by her giddiness to control herself. The day had been intense, but not even Ino’s revelation could damper her mood. Not today.
Slipping into her apartment, Sakura quietly closed the door behind her so as to not disturb her elderly neighbour, and flopped back onto her bed as soon as she entered her bedroom. Not even bothering to take anything off besides her shoes.
Running a hand through her bubble gum hair, Sakura finally let the smile she’d been fighting for the past hour break free. Her hand unconsciously slipped into her pocket, unfolding the short letter. It looked almost worn, even though she’d only opened it a little over twenty-four hours ago. And even though it was burned into her memory by now, Sakura couldn’t stop herself from reading it over and over again.
Sakura,
I have always prided myself on being a man of my word. Every promise I’ve made has gone fulfilled – all but one.
I’ve promised myself, promised Sasuke, to try my best to leave you be. To help you move on instead of tying you down to what could be nothing more than wishful thinking. And every day, I did all I could to keep my distance, waiting for the day when the smiles graced your lips and your eyes shone with laughter once again. I tried so hard to let you be happy, and then perhaps my misery could have been repressed as well.
I have discovered, however, that I am more selfish than I ever made myself out to be. I cannot stop myself from longing for you; I feel a constant need to be the reason for your smiles, an unending desire to feel your happiness directed towards me, to hold you in my arms for hours on end and showing you all that I feel towards you. With no limitations, no judgement, no barriers between us.
You were not fated to be mine. But Sakura, if you are not my destiny, you are most definitely my choice. And as selfish as I am, know that I will stop at nothing to ensure your happiness, to ensure that I will give you all that I can and more, that I will do all I can to be wholly yours as you are mine.
All I need is for you to tell me that you want the same. I will never attempt anything that is against your wishes, and if you want to wait for your other half, then you can pretend that this letter never existed. No matter how selfish I am, no matter how much pain it will cause, your happiness comes before mine. And if you wish for me to remain out of your life, I give you my word that I will. That is one promise I will never break. But if your heart desires the same as what I long for, then consider me already to be you lover, your companion, your partner through all the joys and hardships you will go through. Because I have been hopelessly and completely yours ever since I saw your smile.
I am eager for your response. But please take all the time you need to consider this thoroughly and carefully.
Itachi.
She read it over twice, her lips mouthing the words as she took them in, relishing the feel of her rapidly beating heart, of the fluttering inside her stomach.
Folding the paper again, Sakura slipped it underneath her pillow and hugged another one to her chest, stuffing her face in it in an effort to contain the girly squeals she was trying to keep at bay.
For the first time in months, Haruno Sakura could say that she’d gotten a night of tranquil, contented sleep.
Itachi couldn’t keep the smile off his face.
He had to postpone his evening spar with Shisui because his cousin would have caught on to him straight away. That, and he wanted to relish the memory of Sakura’s blinding grin.
He could only give her a quick nod before he scrambled away, fearing that he’d grab her and kiss her senseless in the middle of his kitchen for everyone in the house to see.
Instead, he locked himself in his room after sending a message to Shisui, planning his next steps. He had to make sure that Sakura did not face the brunt of the backlash they were going to get. He had to make her happy and safe at all costs, make sure he’ll deal with all the obstacles he could expect with the best damage control.
All the thinking had left him famished, especially since he’d skipped dinner, and he groaned as he rolled off of his futon and made his way to the kitchen.
Even when he wasn’t actively thinking about her, Itachi couldn’t keep Sakura off his mind. Absently rubbing his lower back where his mark was tattooed, he thanked whatever deity up there that chose to put it on him in such a concealed spot. Sometimes it felt like a blessing that it wasn’t always in his face, that it didn’t constantly remind him of what he couldn’t have or what he was about to do to anger his destiny’s maker.
And maybe her first words to him weren’t ‘stay with me Itachi’, and maybe they would never even come out of her mouth, but it didn’t matter anymore. Sakura was his now, and she would be staying with him for a long, long time if Itachi had any say in that matter.
Making his way down the stairs, Itachi almost sprinted towards the kitchen in his hunger, only managing to stop himself a split second before he collided with his brother.
The day had been more overwhelming that Sasuke had been ready for, but it had ended on a better note than he had expected. It was good having a more intimate interaction with Hanabi for a change. Even if her cousin had been red faced the entire time, looking torn between being relieved for his little cousin and grabbing Sasuke by the throat. Hanabi had almost latched onto him the entire night after, too. And he had to admit, having her hand in his for a prolonged period of time had felt… nice.
But even with his -very small- progress with Hanabi, and with their newfound distress for Ino, and with Sakura’s apparently improving mood, something was still nagging in the back of Sasuke’s mind.
He’d waited long enough, till after his guests had left and both of his parents had gone to sleep. But he knew Itachi was still awake, and he needed to confirm something with his brother.
But first, maybe they needed to fill that cavity that had been gradually widening between them for the past year.
He grabbed a plate of dango from the kitchen and made towards the stairs to get to his brother’s room. But then Itachi came darting down the stairs and almost slammed square into him, making Sasuke blink in surprise.
Itachi looked almost guilty for a moment, as if Sasuke had caught him doing something he shouldn’t have been doing, but he quickly composed himself, arranging his features to give him his usual blank expression.
Neither of them made a sound, then Itachi gave him a nod and made to duck around him as he’d been doing for a while, trying to avoid any further confrontation.
“Aa, nii-san!” Sasuke almost sputtered, stopping his older brother in his tracks. Itachi turned to face him, looking at him curiously.
Sasuke offered the plate of dango wordlessly, and it was Itachi’s turn to blink as he reached out to pluck it out of his brother’s hands.
“Thank you,” he said anyway, still looking confused but with something akin to gratefulness in his eyes.
“Would you, ahh…” Sasuke began awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck, “would you like to have a little spar tomorrow? It’s… it’s been a while.”
His brother cocked an eyebrow, staring at him for a little longer before his lips curved in a small smile.
“I’m leaving on a mission in the morning,” Itachi sighed, “but as soon as I get back? I’ll leave my day off entirely open for you.”
Sasuke grinned, nodding a few times like an excited child being offered candy. Itachi grinned in return.
“Thank you for the dango.” He raised the plate slightly in Sasuke’s direction and made his way back up to his room.
It felt almost as if a weight had been removed off of Sasuke’s chest.
Her good mood had lasted for about two weeks. Then she started getting antsy.
Itachi had left the day after they bumped into each other in his house. She couldn’t blame him for being away, but Sakura wasn’t known for being very patient. And it seemed her patience wore even thinner when it came to that man.
It had been three weeks since he’d left, and while it had been just impatient excitement at first, Sakura had been feeling strangely uneasy for the past couple of days. She’d wake up with her heart in her throat, like she would after having a disturbing nightmare. She’d be on her rounds at the hospital, or at the bathhouse with Ino, or even sparring with her team, when suddenly her stomach would feel like it’s in tightly coiled knots, make it effortful for her to breathe.
There was absolutely no reason she could find for her distress. Her friends were fine, the hospital was fine, they’d been doing well testing the bone-healing jutsu. Everything had been flowing in a good direction, and all that remained was for Itachi to return and claim her as he’d promised.
She was briefing a new nurse on her duties and who she was going to be shadowing for her training period, when she felt a disturbance towards the entrance of the hospital.
Curious, Sakura handed the girl the folder with her instructions and made her way towards the commotion. It was only when she was but ten steps away from it that she realised what was going on. And suddenly the knot in her stomach tightened so much that she felt her breath leave her entirely.
Standing in the middle of a makeshift circle of frantic medics was Shisui, barely able to support his body on what seemed to be an at least fractured leg.
Over his shoulder was a half-dead Itachi.
Feeling the bile rising in her throat, Sakura struggled to regain her breathing, to steady her shaking hands, and practically ran over to the two Uchiha.
Keeping his eyes open was a struggle. He’d been trying to remain conscious for the past half an hour, with absent encouragement from Shisui of ‘just a little more’ and ‘almost there’. But he’d been fighting for three days, and it was becoming a battle that he was very clearly losing. He felt the pulling sensation of being transported and almost fell off Shisui’s shoulders as the older man’s body could no longer hold him up.
Then suddenly, Itachi was being tipped backwards and his back was hitting a hard surface, several half-blurry faces looming over him.
“Ambushed… Rain shinobi-”
He could barely make out the voices. Didn’t have the energy to care. But a splash of pink assaulted his vision and for a moment, he was almost alert again.
“…poisoned three days ago-”
“…OR 4!”
He could see her barking orders that he couldn’t hear. Could see her eyes shift to his, desperately willing him to hold on for just a little longer. He tried to raise his hand, just to get his fingers to brush against her skin one more time. But his body had already given up on him hours ago, and he knew it.
“…lost too much blood-“
“…going into shock!”
“We’re losing him!”
His eyes were open only a fraction now. And Sakura was still frantically trying to stabilise him, her chakra-infused hands resting on his chest, in her frenzy looking as if she was practically pushing her life force into him.
‘I’m sorry… I tried to love you…’
He felt her slip away from him, saw her grab something somebody had offered her, then her hands were on him again.
The last thing her felt was her soothing chakra running through him and her voice ringing in his ears as his eyelids finally slipped close.
“Stay with me, Itachi!”

Flaming Oven Character Study Part 2
Sasuke Uchiha (age 19, mostly canon compliant)
Sasuke’s oven is on fire because he was too busy over analyzing, planning, and having a minor existential crisis to pay attention to what he was cooking.
I was not the one voted most likely to set the kitchen on fire and I will NEVER live this down if anyone finds out. *panic rinnegans the flaming oven to Kami knows where and proceeds to eliminate the rest of the evidence*
Sasuke moved into the little row house with nothing but what he’d carried on his back the last 2 years.
It was 2 stories tall, narrow, and he was pretty sure the ivy was more load bearing than the bricks.
A rotund tabby cat sunned itself on the front step of the unit next door.
The little patch of flowerbed next to the front stairs was choked with weeds, but a couple irises still managed to shove their way up to bloom.
The street out front was busy all hours of the day.
Across the street was a potter, a bakery, and a fancy little cafe that served imported pastries.
Curtains twitched and the neighbors watched Sasuke walk up to the door with open curiosity. This area of town was heavily civilian and he was very obviously a shinobi.
2 years away from the village had changed Sasuke beyond these people’s recognition. He’d had his last growth spurt and his shoulders were broader. His hair was long enough that he wore it in a low ponytail. He met their curious looks with a hesitant smile and a small wave from his remaining arm.
People smiled and waved back.
The cat raised its head to watch Sasuke fumble with the lock and then laid back down to continue purring.
Sasuke thought this place couldn’t get more perfect.
On his first night in the row house, Sasuke tried to cook a meatloaf.
A knock at the door pulled him away from the kitchen.
A little old lady with her gray hair in a high bun and glasses that resembled small dishes grinned at him.
“I’m Mrs. Matsuda. I live to the left. The lazy cat is Mebuki. We just wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood.”
A plate of cookies, still warm, were thrust into Sasuke’s arm before he could say anything.
“Thank you,” Sasuke stammered.
“You looked like you could use some cookies. There’s not enough meat on you shinobi types,” Mrs. Matsuda said and then she toddled back to her door before Sauske could figure out whether he should bite the bullet and introduce himself or how he could protect the delicate and welcome blanket of anonymity he’d managed to find here.
Sasuke wandered back into his new home. He didn’t have any real furniture yet, but a pile of cushions stacked against the living room wall made a decent couch, at least it was an improvement to the logs and rocks Sasuke’d spent his evening on for the last 2 years.
Sasuke ate a cookie and stared at the empty wall across the room. He chewed slowly, savoring the different flavors. There was vanilla and another sweetness Sasuke couldn’t quite identify between the chocolate chips. It was good.
Sasuke didn’t usually like sweet things, but the cookie tasted like a home.
Sasuke closed his mismatched eyes. Home was a tenuous, fragile thing.
Konoha would never be home again, not after what they did to the clan and to Itachi. Not after watching Naruto suffer the village’s predjudice for years and learning Kakashi’s story. How many people had this place destroyed?
Sasuke grabbed another cookie and shoved the whole thing in his mouth. The sweetness was almost unpleasant and oddly grounding.
Konoha might never be home again, but this little row house could exist beyond it’s address. This space could be home. Naruto, Sakura, and Kakashi were his home (had been for years). The fact that they lived in Konoha didn’t change that.
Sasuke leaned back and rested his head on the wall behind him.
The question of whether he had a home was a tentative, but hopeful, yes.
The question of how to keep it was one Sasuke didn’t know how to answer.
Would Mrs. Matsuda bring Sasuke Uchiha cookies?
Sasuke knew who he was and what he’d done. He’d understood when so many argued for his permanent incarceration or his death. He hadn’t fought either option.
Kakashi and Naruto had used every favor they’d ever earned and the full weight of who they were and what they’d done to keep him alive in the months after the war.
Sakura’s tactics had been less diplomatic. Had Naruto and Kakashi failed, Sasuke had no doubt the kunoichi would have punched a hole in the wall and saved him herself-- not that he had or would have asked that of her.
When the question of how to imprison someone with both the sharingan and the rinnegan came up around the Council’s table, Sakura destroyed the table and dared the council to try.
Sasuke owed her his freedom. He owed her everything he was now and everything he would ever become.
2 years had changed Sasuke. He’d crossed the world, learned to raise a barn, sow seeds, and reap a harvest. He’d been welcomed as a stranger. He’d fought bandits and searched for lost children. He’d learned to stitch wounds and battle nightmares (his own and others). He’d climbed mountains and swam in the ocean. He’d thought long and heard about his place in the world and he’d healed in ways he never thought he could.
Sasuke came home determined to do better, to pay back the faith placed in him. He didn’t believe in Konoha and Konoha didn’t believe in him, but the others believed in Konoha and Sasuke believed in them. If he could work from the shadows to support them, cloaked in anonymity, Sasuke thought he might be able to keep the peace in his soul that he’d found somewhere between the coast of Kiri and the sand dunes of Suna.
But how does the last Uchiha-- a man with 1 arm, one purple eye, and a well known name-- avoid attention?
A loud beep made Sasuke jump and scramble for the sword he wasn’t wearing.
The beeping continued, but Sasuke couldn’t hear it over the blood rushing in his ears.
It took a good 30 seconds for Sasuke’s adrenaline to level off enough for his brain to register the source of the ear splitting beep.
Black smoke was pouring across the ceiling like water down a a stream and Sasuke’s eyes tracked it’s path across the whote plaster, past the screaming smoke alarm, and into the kitchen.
Sasuke staggered to his feet and bolted for the kitchen.
The oven was on fire. The smoke billowed out the edges of the oven door and up through the burners on the stove top.
Sasuke just stared. His mind was moving 90 miles an hour, but not in a useful direction.
The neighbors had to hear the alarm.
Mrs. Matsuda was probably in her kitchen, baking another batch of cookie or something.
Someone was going to show up at Sasuke’s door.
The fire department was going to come.
There were going to be questions and Sasuke would be exposed.
Sasuke swallowed hard. The smoke burned his throat. He wasn’t ready to face Konoha. The alarm needed to stop, NOW.
A kunai silenced the alarm, permanently.
The oven was still spilling smoke. Sasuke glanced around the kitchen in the vain hope that maybe there was something he could use as a water bucket. He owned a metal, campfire tea pot, but it as still packed in his bag. And it only made 3 cups of tea. A flaming oven needed more than 3 cups of water.
The smoke had to be visible through the kitchen window.
Sasuke thought he was someone on the sidewalk. He acted on instinct and the whole oven vanished.
With its source cut off, the smoke spread out and quickly became less visually obvious. The smell lingered.
Sasuke’s eyes and nose watered. He coughed and his brain started to process the last several minutes.
The smoke alarm was impaled by a kunai. The blade sunk all the way into the wall.
Soot and smoke settled on the off white walls, leaving them grey and dingy.
The smell was horrific.
The empty place that had been the stove’s home seemed huge in the tiny kitchen.
Sasuke had no idea where he’d teleported the burning appliance.
Sasuke turned on his heel, grabbed his purse off the counter, and walked out of the house.
He needed cleaning supplies and a new stove. Naruto and Sakura were going to be over in the morning and he needed there to be no evidence of this incident when they arrived. Among the 3 of them, they’d always agreed that if someone was going to light a kitchen on fire, it would be Naruto. Sasuke would never live it down. He could almost hear Naruto joking about how he’d gotten too used to cooking over a campfire.
Sasuke shook his head and walked faster. There was a hardware store just down the street and some sort of takeout restaurant next door.
Welcome to home ownership, Sasuke thought with a grim smile. What is home besides something you’re willing to work and fight to protect?

My First fanfic:
Ninja High School Of Death Chapter 1: Accepted This is my first fan fiction ever!!!! I gave alot of thought into this fan fiction and I thought it was a good idea, but if it's not and you want to kill me for making up this idea for any reason tell me before you form an angry mob and hunt me down and gut me like a fish, okay? OKAY! No angry mobs! Get it, got it, Good!!!! Now, since we got that out of the way... I'd like to say what my fan fiction's about.Well, basically it's a Naruto fan fiction about if ninja's had to go to high school, but this is no regular high school. For one thing, thier are classes no normal high has. They only have to go through one year[ if they pass that is] and it's set like college, because you get put into a dorm room[ I'll say why there are dorms and how thier set up later]. So, when Naruto gets accepted here no one thinks he'll last a day there, but with luck [ and cheating] he might make it out of there alive. And he might even win sakura's heart if he's lucky. so, with out futher ado here's the first chapter: ____________________________________________________________________________ ''Is it in yet!!!'' cried the exited voice of Naruto Uzamaki to his master Iruka. ''Stop asking Naruto! I just sent off your appication, it's not going to arrive in the few seconds... besides theres always a chance that....'' Iruka stopped himself from saying it, he couldn't tell him that there was a chance of not getting accepted. Naruto had wanted to go to this school as mutch as he wanted to be hokage.Naruto looked around and said impationtly,''When it going to get here?! I want to know if I got into this stupid high school!!'' Iruka smiled and said, ''Well it will come faster if we go and get some ramen, how about that Naruto?'' Naruto looked at Iruka gratefully, and tried to sound as though he realy didn't care if they got ramen or not said, ''I don't care, as long as that acceptience letter is here when we get back.'' Iruka began to laugh, ''You have bad acting skills, any morron can tell you love ramen!!'' Naruto looked down at the floor and groaned,''I wasn't acting I realy don't care.'' ''Oh yeah?'' Iruka said trying not to laugh. ''YEAH!!'' Naruto yelled now trrying not to think about ramen. ''Okay, if you realy don't care I'll just go and get some ramen by my self and you can just wait here and when I get back, tell me how the long wait went, because I'm going home after I get ramen so see you tommorow, Naruto!!'' he said trying to look seriose, but ended up laughing uncontrolable at the thought of Naruto waiting in the classroom all night waiting for to return. '' Fine, I'll come if you promise to stop laughing like an idiot!!'' Naruto said trying not to laugh himself and to act like he didn't want ramen at the same time. ''No,no you said you'd rather wait here all night instead of getting ramen w/ me,''Iruka said putting his hands behind his head and begging to stroll to the door and called back, ''if you deside to leave lock the doors for me okay?'' ''What do I look like your servant? I don't want to the spend night here, I have better things to do, I'm 15, so I have better things to do like....'' Naruto began to think. ''Like annoying your pour senei about, oh I don't know...like about acceptance letters that won't be here for a couple or maybe I don't know... trying to deney ramen, I know you want.'' Iruka said while beginning to open the door slowly. ''I am not deneying anything, I'm deciding to come so I don't have to stay here all night.'' Naruto said trying to make it sound covencing. ''Okay, fine let's just go, but since your just deciding to go so you don't have to stay here all night, no seconds, okay? OKAY !!! ''Iruka said opening the door all the way and walked out it. Naruto froze up he couldn't move, a struck of sudden fear hit him. What is the good of getting ramen if he couldn't get seconds, he had to stop this now before it was too late. ''Comming,Naruto?'' Iruka called now heading for the stairs to leave the building. ''NOOOO!!!!!'' Naruto yelled in terror of only having one serving of ramen. ''You're not commming?'' Iruka asked feeling shocked that Naruto was accualy refusing ramen. ''I lied I do want ramen, I do,I do, I do, I do, I DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So please,Iruka sensei, please!!! Let me have seconds on ramen or give me death!!'' Naruto cried to Iruka w/ tears running down his face. Iruka stopped at the front door now begginning to laugh. Naruto stopped at the begginning of the stairs and looked down at his sensei laughing like an idiot again. What's his problem? Naruto thought angrily, nothing funny is happening ramen is a seriouse matter and not being able to get seconds on ramen, because your waiting to see if your accepted to the best high school ever that is supposed to have the hottest girls ever in it? ''Naruto, calm down. I was only joking about not letting you have seconds. And they would have to be crazy not to accept you w/ the appication I sent, so stop looking at me like that, okay?'' Iruka's words made Naruto feel better. It was like Iruka knew how to read minds,he always knew what to say. Naruto smiled and left w/ Iruka to get some well earned ramen. After about the fifth bowl of ramen, Naruto had his mind off ramen and it once again back on the application letter and if he had gotten accepted. Then it hit him what if he didn't get accepted would he have to give up all hope of being hokage? He heard that all the previose hokages had gone there and that what ever they learned there had helped them become hokage. ''Naruto, are you done, I'm afraid if we stay any longer.. I'll have spent my hole pay check on ramen and I've only had one bowl!'' Iruka said breaking Naruto out of thought. ''Oh.....yeah,'' Naruto said simply, looking at Iruka now, asked, ''What exactly did you write on my appication any way?'' Iruka smilled and said,''You'll find out soon enough.'' ''What's that supposed to mean? Tell me, Tell me, tell me!!'' Naruto cried feeling impatient now, ''Is it good , is bad tell me!!'' ''Well I guess I'll tell you this,'' Iruka said,''but it's a secret,so come here.'' Naruto moved close up to Iruka. ''Closer,''he said to Naruto. Naruto moved closer. And Iruka whispered,''You'll find out soon enough.'' Naruto got angry and yelled,''I WANT ANOTHER BOWL OF RAMEN!!'' Iruka just laughed and thought to himself, Don't worry Naruto the application I wrote will get you into that school. Two days after the ramen insodent, Naruto dropped by the ninja accademy to ask Iruka the same question he always aggervated him with, but this time however, before he could even open his mouth, Iruka said, ''Congraulations, you've been accepted.'' Naruto opened his mouth in exitement, but no words came out.
Naruto only had a short 3 days to get his school supplies bought and his books ordered. He didn't have to worry about the text books, Iruka had promised to order and pay for them if Naruto had gotten accepted. So all he needed to do was get his note books and all the things he needed[you know he had to bring plenty of ramen, his favorite porn magiziens, his skateboard, and you know all the things teenage boys need]. So, he decided to go and by his school supplies. He decided he would stop by the ninja accademy on way home to aggervate Iruka and get him to by him some ramen since he wouldn't see him again for another year. So, he headed out, but before he left he had to save an old cup of instant ramen from a trail of ants going in it. He picked up the cup of ramen and wondered how long it had been there. The only true way to find out is to taste it, he thought in his mind, picking up the cup of ramen[that still had ants coming in and out of it] and dumped some in his mouth. He chewed it slowly and swallowed even slower. ''I don't know, but those god damn ants don't make it taste BETTER!!!''he yelled in disgust spitting on his floor. Now, he was more detiremd to go to Iruka and get to buy him some ramen! But, he desided to go and get his school supplies first. He locked the door to his house and headed for the nearest store. He was about to walk into the store and heard a familiar voice.''No, Sakura.I don't think this store will do, it has a bunch of idiots who think I would accualy buy lipstick for $50.00 and not even have a good enough color for me.''Naruto knew that voice anywhere, it was Ino. The annoying girl he had known from ninja accadomy. If she was here that meant that,Yes,Sakura. If there was anything he loved more than ramen it would have to be Sakura. But, last time he had seen her was at the ninja accodomy graduation. He looked over there exepting to see someone totally different, but no, it was the Sakura he had known. She still had long pink hair and beatiful green eyes. The only real difference was she was a few inches taller, she was wearing make-up,and she was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans, with black flipp flops. Probaly, girlyer than ever. He was a punk these days, and she probaly wouldn't reconize him. So he began to walk out the door, when all of a sudden he caught Sakura say to Ino,''Come on, Ino. We're going to the best ninja high school there is, so let's worry more about school supplies and less about our looks, okay?'' A smile stretched across Naruto's face. He began to day dream him and Sakura, lying on a beach together, but the beach water was ramen and it looked a beach from hell. ''Naruto, kiss me,''Sakura said getting on top of Naruto. ''Okay,Sakura, if we can swim in the ocean of ramen after wards,'' Naruto said pulling Sakura close to him and began to kiss her.''BOSS!!WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU !!!!!''Sakura yelled her voice turning into Konahamaru's and she was pushing him away from her.''Boss?! You don't have to call me that!!'' Naruto said looking supprised that Sakura called him that. And a punch on the side of the head brought him back to reality. ''KONAHAMARU!!? WHAT'S THE-----'' Before Naruto could finish what he was saying he notticed he was holding a struggling Konnahamaru close to him. ''Am I inturupting something?!'' came the voice of Iruka from the back of them, they looked back to see a shocked Iruka and Naruto pushed Konahamaru away from him. After explaining himself to Iruka and Konahamaru, the first thing that Iruka had to say was, ''I understand the part about Sakura and why you started day dreaming, but why did you have to tell us about the old ramen you found on the ground?'' ''I wanted to give you a reason to take me out for ramen,OFCOURSE!!'' Naruto laughed. ''Oh,NO I am not taking you out for ramen again, I already ordered your books, that cost me a fortune!! If I take you out for ramen I'll be in the pour house!!'' Iruka said,''Oh, and your books will be in the day before you leave.''''OH MAN!!!!'' Naruto yelled and Iruka just laughed. ''Hey, boss, WHO, is this Sakura girl, anyway?'' Konahamaru asked looking at Naruto with suppishion in his eyes. Naruto caught that look and blushed. ''I swear it was nothing like that Sakura's just a girl I knew back in ninja accadomy... that I well..... uhhhhh.......you see it's like......ummmm...... you get the point?'' Naruto said trying to think of something to say about her that didn't make him sound like a love struck pervert. ''Ohhh.....I see you..... BOSS!!! What COULD POSSIBLY MAKE DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT!!! AND WITHOUT SEEING HER FOR 3 YEARS!! NO WONDER YOU DIDN'T WANT TO TALK TO HER!! SHE MIGHTHAVE BEEN....YOU KNOW... YOU MIGHT HAVE A-'' Naruto shut Konnahamaru up with a death stare before he could make a scene and draw people over to see what he was yelling at. ''It's not like that!!'' Naruto hissed at him angrily. ''For once, Naruto's right Konnahamaru, Naruto just liked Sakura and it went no ferther than that, so don't make a big deal about it.'' Iruka said calmly looking over them fighting once more. Naruto had Konahamaru in a head lock and Konnahamaru legs were flailing, kicking everyone who happended to walk by. Iruka had to think of something quick before they both attracked a large group of people and held him responibal this. ''WHO WANTS RAMEN?!'' he yelled over in thier direction. Naruto dropped Konnahamaru to the ground with a loud THUD. Konahamaru got mad and kicked him in the shin. Naruto jumped up and down in pain and then wacked Konnahamaru hard on the side of the head! Konahamaru then fell to the ground rubbing his head and mutttering things to himself like 'damn that hurt', 'fucking boss you didn't have hit so fucking hard'. ''Stop acting like a FUCKING baby!!'' Naruto said looking angrily at Konnahamaru and Iruka wacked Naruto on the head.''Both of you stop acting like babies, and I'll take you to get some ramen,'' Iruka said looking disappointed at them, and Naruto put his hand over his mouth, then Konnahamaru did the same to try to make himself look cool.Iruka looked at Naruto and added,''But, we won't get ramen until you get your school things and porn dosen't count as school supplies. Oh, and I'm not paying for school things.'' With that said, they went with Naruto to get school things. After that was over, Naruto just had to get his text books. They would be there in a couple of days. So, that night he could sleep in piece,or so he thought. That night all he had in his dreams was Sakura, he hadn't fealt that way since ninja accadomy. He lied awake that night thinking about the last day of ninja accadomy. He remenbered the way he looked around, hopping Sakura would be alone[at that time Ino and Sakura were just becoming friends again, because they desided being friends was more important than trying to win some boy's heart, so it was hard ever finding her alone] she wasn't, but he came up to her anyways and followed his instinkts[whitch he realy shouldn't have] and grabbed her ass and asked her to marry him and have many chidren together, but instead of an answer she hit him so hard that he woke up serval hours later,to see Iruka laughing and he said,''That's not the best thing you can do to get her to remenber you by, you should try letting her like you, but at least you graduated, right?'' He laughed at that and thought to himself if she dosen't remenber me, I'll make her by reuniting my hand and her ass. And as I grab your ass, I'll sing reunited never felt so good. At that thought Naruto dreamed that he did his plan, but not only did his hand reunite with her ass,but his face got reunited with her fist.In the morning when he woke up he said,''Life's not so sucky afer all!'' Two days later he woke up and got ready. He pulled a pair of black pants off the ground, smelled them and said,''Clean enough!'' Then slipped on a black shirt that said in red letters:'Don't piss me off I'm running out of places to bury bodies' and put on a black pair of vans with red shoe laces. Grabbed his back pack and two heavy suit cases that had all his crap in them. Then, headed for the door and took one last look around the place. ''Good enough,''he said looking from the mile high stack of dishes to the dirty carpet that hadn't been cleaned since the dinaurourses roamed this world, all the way to garbage land, home of the largest pile of trash! It was a long walk, but he had finaly got to the high school. It was on the out skirts of the village[about a 4 hour walk, it 8 miles away]. He looked around, this place is huge, he thought looking around once more. This time, however, he saw someting he realy carred about! It was a very pretty girl with brown hair kept in a bun and she was wearing what looked like winter clothes and her head band was different than his[whitch he wears on his forehead whitch I forgot to mention, sorry], her's had 4 symbals that looked like waves. Naruto slicked his hair back. And approached carefully. He reached his hand out and grabbed her ass,but he thought for a minute and desighed Sakura's ass defentally felt better. Then the girl grabbed his hand and said,''What the hell are you doing?! I'm a boy!!!'' Naruto turned red and just starred at the boy, then said,''If your a....are you sure?!'' The boy nodded and began to walk off. Naruto built up his courage, and yelled to him, ''OKAY..YOUR A BOY... I DON'T CARE ANYWAYS,BUT CAN YOU TELL ME HOW THIS SCHOOL WORKS I WANT TO GET TO MY DORM AND LAY DOWN AND READ A PORN TO GET MY MIND OFF WHAT JUST HAPPEND!!'' ''You realy don't know, well what is your best technique, is it ninjutsu or taijutsu?'' the boy asked looking back at Naruto. ''Ninjutsu.'' Naruto said looking at the boy with curiosity in his eyes.''Follow me then,'' he said walking off and Naruto caught up with him and asked,''How do you know so mutch about the school?'' ''I researched, of course,'' the boy said coming up to a building looked at something on the door and headed off into the building. Naruto came up to the door and saw a piece of paper with names and room numbers on it.He saw his name and his room number was 101.Then,he came up to a ninja passing out keys and the ninja handed him a key. So he headed of into the section of the building the ninja had pointed out. He found his room easily and opened the door, and cried,''YOU AGAIN!!!'' And the boy he had met earlier was sitting on the top bonk and looked down at him and said,''Nice to see you again, too. So, what was it you said you were going to do?'' ''Alright, fine I'll accept you as my room mate if you get off MY FUCKING bed and tell me your name. Oh, and mines Naruto Uzamaki.'' Naruto said looking at the boy and waiting for him to get off the top bunk. ''Haku,'' the boy said simpily, and they just stared at each other.
My current Fanfic
I think its really fun to see where you came from and where you are now as a writer (just like I know it for artists to do the same)
To set the scene I was probably about 12 (maybe 13) when I wrote my first fic and it was the early 2000s and it really shows.
I deleted this a year later because well its bad, real bad scoob and would later delete that fanfic account all together because I was embarrassed of it because I wrote that thing. Its so early 2000s it hurts.
I guess I’m putting this out in public again because I get a lot of people coming to me telling me how good of a writer I am and being too hard on their own work. I know a lot of fic writers who can probably tell you similiar stories about new writers putting themselves down because they think your work is superior.
I just want to point out, most writers don’t get where they are now over night. Keep it up new writers! I love and support you all for being brave enough to put your work out there.

Welcome Home (ch. 3)
Hello! This is chapter 3 of Welcome Home. This story is a prequel to All Shapes and Sizes. It’s about the way Sasuke and Sakura came together, and the ways they fell in love with each other. The link to the fanfic.net story is: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12393719/1/Welcome-Home . Please enjoy!
Sakura followed Sasuke inside his newly acquired home, watching his reaction. He was relatively quiet, which was to be expected. She watched as he took in the open rooms, the large windows, and the simple architecture. The tension in his body eased as he wandered through the rooms and found that everything was to his liking, despite the lack of furniture. The Uchiha crest had even been carved into the door on the master bedroom, something that touched Sasuke deeply.
“What do you think, Sasuke-kun?” Sakura gently prodded him as they reached the kitchen. He looked out the large window overlooking the small garden before answering.
“It reminds me of my childhood,” He told her softly. They stood there for a few moments in silence before Sakura spoke again.
“Would you like to go look for furniture now?” She spoke carefully, not wanting to disturb him. “That way you can have the chance to arrange it how you’d like before dinner tonight.”
Sasuke nodded simply, not really paying attention. He was too wrapped up in his own thoughts. He was finally back in the Uchiha district permanently since the night his family was massacred. Unlike how he had anticipated it, being back was almost peaceful. It was like he had come home. He turned to look at Sakura and felt a feeling of gratefulness swell in chest that she was there to help him with getting his house together because if she hadn’t been, the dark-haired shinobi would have spent the entire afternoon musing over his situation. “Let’s go,” he told his teammate, giving her another of his rare smiles.
The smile she returned him left him, for the first time in his life, a little breathless.
Sakura had not expected to spend her day in furniture stores with none other than Sasuke Uchiha, but she had. After ordering everything he needed and helping him arrange it properly, she had chosen to say goodbye in order to give him the opportunity to settle into his new surroundings. She went home and made herself a strong cup of black tea before taking a long bath to relax the tension in her muscles. Sasuke’s return had brought her as much joy as it did anxiety. Her worry about his adjustment of Konoha and his team had sprouted as soon as they entered the Hokage’s office that morning and had not eased. While he seemed to be adjusting fine, the anticipation of him becoming upset had manifested itself in her every move.
After taking her bath, she took extra time getting ready that night. She chose to wear a pretty sundress that she’d only worn once or twice that summer. It was a spring green square neck dress that fell to her knees. She wore white sandals and a small cherry blossom necklace her father had given her. She did her hair more carefully that night, making sure that there wasn’t a strand out of place. She considered putting on makeup, but ultimately decided against it. She was too nervous to do it properly and she wouldn’t be fully satisfied with the way it turned out. While she knew that is was probably fruitless, she couldn’t help but want to look extra nice for Sasuke that night. No matter how Sasuke felt, he would always be the love of her life, and she wanted to look nice when she was around him.
She took a deep breath before exiting her apartment to the richly colored Konoha sunset. She walked quickly to Naruto’s home, unable to calm down. All she could think of was seeing Sasuke again. It had only been a few hours since last saw him, but she couldn’t shake the fear that he may disappear in an instant. She arrived at Naruto’s as the first one there, and was welcomed in by a beaming Hinata wearing a lovely pale lavender cardigan over a white dress.
“Hello, Sakura! Please, come inside!” The pink-haired kunoichi stepped inside and removed her shoes, placing them by the door. She was instantly greeted by the smell of Hinata’s good cooking, and felt herself relax a little. It was oddly quiet in the house.
“Where’s Naruto?” Sakura asked as she followed Hinata to the kitchen.
“He went to go get Sasuke,” Hinata told her as she began slicing a tomato. “They should all be here soon. Sasuke, Naruto-kun, Kakashi, Sai, and Ino.”
“Ahh,” Sakura took one of Hinata’s aprons off a peg on the wall and put it on. “What can I help you with?”
“Oh, Sakura you don’t have to help,” Hinata’s eyes grew round. “You are a guest!”
“Yes, but…I need to do something.” Sakura cast her eyes downwards, a blush staining her cheeks. “I’ll grow too anxious if I don’t.”
Understanding dawned on Hinata’s face. She nodded and smiled at Sakura before handing her the knife she was holding. “You finish chopping these vegetables. I’ll attend to the fish.”
Sakura smiled gratefully. The two women chattered light-heartedly, and Sakura felt indebted to Hinata for distracting her from Sasuke.
It wasn’t long before Sai and Ino showed up. Ino was glowing, her long blonde hair flowing around her waist, wearing a plum halter top and grey capris that showed off her flattering figure. Sai, clad in all black as usual, had his hand around her waist.
“Forehead!” Ino almost yelled at Sakura. “Sasuke is back? Have you seen him? You’ve got to tell me everything!”
The young couple sat on the stools at the counter that looked into the kitchen, listening as Sakura recounted everything that had happened that day. The three others listened very carefully, taking in everything Sakura said. When she had finished, the kitchen was quiet before Sai abruptly said “I wonder when he’ll ask you out, ugly.” Sakura instantly turned comically red before screaming “SAI!! SHANNAROOO!” Ino threw her head back in laughter at Sakura’s expense, while Hinata comfortingly placed her hand on Sakura’s shoulder. This was the sight that greeted Sasuke, Naruto and Kakashi as they walked in to the Uzumaki’s kitchen.
Sakura, if possible, turned even more red at the sight of the handsome Uchiha in his dark blue shirt and black pants. Immediately turning back to the vegetables that had finished cooking on the stove.
“What did we miss?” Kakashi asked, his eyebrows drawn together.
“Sai made a joke,” Ino told the men. Though all three newcomers looked confused, none of them questioned anything.
“Dinner is ready!” Hinata declared, turning everyone’s minds to food. “Please Sakura, go sit. Naruto will help me bring everything in.” The pink haired kunoichi nodded and made her way to the dining room. She sat down on the left side of the long rectangular table, and was surprised to find that Sasuke instantly sat himself by her. She caught Ino’s eye and saw a triumphant glare in them. Looking away, she turned to her attention to the food that had been just been placed in front of her.
After dinner, the group went outside to enjoy the beautiful summer night. The stars were bright in the sky and the sweet smell of grass reached their noses. Sasuke tried to pay attention to the conversation that was happening as they all walked through the streets of Konoha, but he was distracted by the sound of Sakura’s warm laugh. He turned to watch her. She looked lovely in the green dress she was wearing, her silhouette illuminated by the bright lanterns hanging among the shopps. He felt a sort of warmth at being by her side, not unlike the feeling he had when they were children. She’d always been a comforting presence to him, and this was no different.
“So what’s it like being back, Sasuke?” He was roused from his musings over Sakura by the sound of Ino’s voice. He turned to look at her, and was pleased to see no signs of flirty eyes or pouty lips. Instead, she held hands tightly Sai and seemed genuinely interested in how he was adjusting.
“It’s different.” He told her as everyone else turned to listen. “But a good different.”
“Well, Naruto and Ugly are glad you’re back,” Sai told him cheerfully.
Sasuke blinked for a few moments before asking “Who is Ugly?”
“Ahh,” Naruto began, exchanging glances with Hinata and then Sakura. “Well, you see, Sai has these dumb little nicknames he created when he first joined Team Kakashi. And well…”
“I am who Sai refers to as Ugly,” Sakura said almost nonchalantly, as if she didn’t care to fight back about it anymore. Sasuke’s head immediately snapped to Sai, who seemed unaffected by the conversation occurring.
“Do you LIKE being called ugly, Sakura?” Sasuke asked in a deadly quiet voice.
“Not really, but from Sai, I think it’s become an endearment rather than an insult.” Sakura told him quickly, reassuring him that it was not a big issue.
Sasuke, however, was not satisfied with this answer. “Do not call her ugly again.” He glared at Sai before turning to stare ahead. Everyone looked at him for a moment before Kakashi distracted them by pointing out a new game shop that had been opened on the street. The group went into the store, but Sasuke stopped when he felt Sakura’s hand on his arm.
“Sasuke-kun?” Sakura looked at him, concern and gratitude lighting her green eyes. “Thank you for that. Are you alright?”
He looked into her beautiful eyes and felt a pang in his heart, unfamiliar to him. “I’m alright.”
“I don’t think you are.” Sakura stared up at him, a knowing look in her eyes. She wouldn’t give up until he talked to her.
“Annoying” He thought to himself as he fought a smirk. Sakura continued to stare at him, prompting him to tell her “I just don’t want people talking to you that way. You deserve better.”
Sakura’s eyes grew wide and a blush stained her cheeks. “Well, don’t worry about Sai. He’ll get what’s coming to him in training when I punch him in the face.” At that, the smirk Sasuke had been holding back broke out onto his face.
Sakura smiled back at him. “I’m glad you’re home, Sasuke-kun.” She whispered softly.
He was a bit taken aback before he felt a warmth spread through him. “Ahh,” was his only reply, but Sakura understood what he meant. He was glad to be back too. The two shinobi began walking towards their friend group, though a bit closer than they had been. The group was out for another hour before they all dispersed, saying their goodbyes and welcome back’s to Sasuke.
Sasuke found himself walking by Sakura’s side on her way home, despite his house being in the other direction. They walked in companionable silence, each enjoying the other’s company and the beautiful summer night. The moon was particularly bright that night, illuminating the trees and shining down on the buildings.
“It sure is beautiful tonight,” Sakura commented with a contented sigh. She glanced at Sasuke, who nodded in agreement. His inky black hair was glossy under the moonlight. His beautiful eyes radiated a subtle warmth and his handsome face was set in content. Over the last few years, his face had slimmed even more. His cheekbones were more prominent, as was his jaw line. His lips were perfectly shaped and looked soft and inviting. He had grown even taller and packed lean muscle underneath his clothes. He was so handsome it made Sakura’s heart hurt. In Sakura’s opinion, no man would ever hold a candle to Sasuke Uchiha.
They continued their walk in companionable silence until they reached Sakura’s door. “Goodnight, Sasuke-kun,” Sakura told him cheerfully, her eyes full of affection for him. “I’ll see you in the morning for training.”
“Goodnight, Sakura,” He was a bit overcome by the open tenderness in her eyes. It only made the green orbs more beautiful. He gave her a soft smile as she went inside before turning to make his way to his own home. Sasuke was exhausted, and as he went to his new bed in the master bedroom of his little house, he collapsed on it. He threw his shirt off onto the floor before laying his on the soft pillows Sakura had recommended that day. His last thought before bed was of Sakura punching Sai triumphantly, looking as beautiful as she ever had.

Bang Crush part 5 (Final)
Also read: part 1 , part 2, part 3 part 4
“Professor Sunray?” I looked up questionable at the teacher climbing on the lower bookshelves in order to reach the top. He turned his head and for a moment he thought he was on the ground. He lowered his head and smiled.
“Hey, Sasuke!” He made a salute gesture with one hand, it caused him to almost lose balance. He quickly held back on the wood before exhaling relieved.
“What are you doing, professor?” I asked.
“Exercising.” He turned his head back to face me,” What do you think I am doing in a library.”
“I didn’t know you could read,” I muttered.
“No, I got my Ph.D. sucking dick, but I don’t expect you to put one and one together and figure out I was being sarcastic. That level of maths seems to be above you.”
“Itai~” I felt an imaginary brick fall on my head. No, scrap that, I felt an imaginary wall fall on me. “So, you are good at sucking. I am happy for you.”
“Really…Now you are suddenly a genius with words?” Nardo looked at me,”I used to have a friend, he made quick comebacks, just like you.”
“What happened to him?” I asked, but my words got ignored. I was pretty sure he heard me because he responded to my muttering so his ears weren’t going bad.
“There it is.” He grabbed a book from the top and had to pull pretty hard to get it out. With one strong jerk, he grabbed the book. “Owh no!” his movement caused him to lose balance and he tried to regain it, but the fell backward. He screamed but I managed to catch him.
He looked at me almost shocked, but then he smiled again.
“Kohai noticed me!” He said and burst out laughing. I shook my head and let him go.
“How the…” He looked from the bookshelf back to me.
“I am stronger than I look,” I said, scratching my cheek.
“What workout do you follow?” He asked, pretty seriously. Though the only image in my head was me dragging Madara drunk body over the doorstep. Getting him up the stairs actually was a good workout.
“Owh, I don’t like that look on your face. I think a sad childhood story is coming.”
“It’s more like Saturday night,” I laughed.
“Thank you for catching me.” He said before looking at the book in his hand. His expression changed slightly.
“Wrong book?” I asked.
“Since ur this strong, can I ask for a boost or would that be inappropriate?”
“Yes, ‘that’ would be inappropriate.” I shook my head, “Of course I can lift you up, but I can also grab you a stable ladder. Which is, right there” I pointed at the ladder with wheels under it. “If you hadn’t seen that before.”
“That has been an eye-opener for me.” He scratched his cheek nervously, “so are you here to study?”
“I came to return this,” I said, holding a small plastic bag with his shirt.
“Owh, my shirt, right.” He said as I handed him the bag, though now the people who were already present watching us, now had these ‘Oh my God’ eyes. Nardo looked up and seemed to notice.
“Why am I being so loud, damn!” He rubbed the back of his neck.
“Bit out of context,” I admitted. My head felt warm, “I washed it.” I added.
“How nice of you. Do you happen to still have my tie?” He asked.
“Isn’t it in the bag?” I looked in the bag, of course, it wasn’t there, it’s in my room for God’s sake. I left it there on purpose, of course. “Owh, I probably forgot to take it out of the dryer,” I said looking thoughtfully. “And tomorrow is the weekend. Hnn I have soo~ much studying to do.” I tapped my finger against my chin and turned my head around,” So much chemistry…” I muttered, knowing he heard me damn well. “Well, if you have an address, I can deliver it to you first thing tomorrow. I know how important that orange tie is to you.”
“That would be a lot of trouble for you, won’t it?” He asked sympathetically. I could see the nice-guy taking over. He is probably going to tell me that I can keep it or just bring it another time if I remember, but I couldn’t have him do that. He has to give me his address, or hotel whatever!
“No, it is my fault for forgetting it. It is just that, it takes me so long to understand chemistry with my current teacher. I mean..I understand everything you are saying because you make it sound so easy…But my current teacher, well..He gives migraines.” I looked at him.
“Why not swing by my hotel room, I can tutor you.”
“Would you do that?” I asked, “Won’t it be a drag for you?”
“Before I became a professor, I taught kids in high schools. I love being a teacher.” He put his hand on my shoulder, giving it a tight squeeze. A devilish smirk appeared on my face, before putting up my innocent face. He gave me his address.
“You are awesome, professor Sunray,” I said and used this as an excuse to hug him. I could hear him chuckle as he patted my head. He was about to say something, but then he suddenly let go,” Can you students stop giving me that perverted look!” The students turned their heads back to their books and studies. Except for this one woman, who gave a check sign with her hand towards mr. Sunray who gave her an unbelievable look.
”Ship it.” She said.
“You go to the lab,” Nardo said, his eyes still fixated on the woman. He gave her a strange look while he gave me a slight push towards the right direction.
I walked towards the lab and I could see Sakura and Suigetsu wait for me. I walked towards them before nodding.
“No waayyy~” Sakura looked amazed, “how?”
“Tie,” I said, “And I will tie him up with that same tie.” I satisfied and rather creepy look appeared in my eyes.
“Wow, I might actually be a little turned on right now.” Suigetsu joked, “At least once a week you look bangable.”
“Thank you,” I said, as I ran my hand through my hair.
“So what are you going to wear?” Sakura asked as she walked in the lab while we followed her.
“I think I will just grab an outfit from Izuna-”
“I meant under,” She had this perverted look for a mere second, “Didn’t you own some sexy undies?”
“I do..But I don’t know how to wear them.” I said, “Besides, I got them as jokes. Suigetsu bought one of them!” I pointed at him accusingly.
“Everybody laughed. It was a great gift. Also useful now, ain’t it?” Suigetsu asked.
“….I never put it on. It is like this black rope all around you..I don’t know how to get in there.” I frowned, “maybe I should ask Izuna?”
“Or maybe you should order something very sexy.” Sakura seemed awfully amused.
“He said he liked being a teacher. Now that I think about it-”
“Sexy schoolgirl uniform! Amazing idea,” Suigetsu said.
“I was going to say white shirt with a tie and black pants.” I said, “I can put my glasses on.”
“Boring! Schoolgirl uniform was better.” Suigetsu said.
“I am with him,” Sakura commented.
“Wait fuck…Tomorrow is Saturday.” I frowned, “I promised Itachi’s boyfriend to be at home base.”
“Why?”
“Because they have a sweet ass shooting range and I could use it if I was going to help him demonstrate a few techniques for these newbies.” I threw my head back, and groaned, “I will be all sweaty and how weird would be if I brought sexy underwear with me.”
“Can’t you cancel? This is bang crush,” Sakura said.
“I know…But it would be too suspicious.”
“No, no, this is actually good. What is hotter than this fella sweating in shorts.” Suigetsu said pointing at me with his thumb, “ Sweaty Sasuke in short army pants, fishnet stockings, boots and a black tank top. Even I would turn gay.”
“Turn gay or are gay.” Sakura jokes.
“I am not sure about you, but when I sweat..I stink.”
“Don’t sweat, just be wet,” Sakura said.
“It is like 3 degrees celsius outside,” I folded my arms.
“For bang crush!” They both said.
“For bang crush!” I clenched a fist, speaking about bang crush. Seems he just arrived. I looked up and at that very moment the only thing on my mind was that I was going to bang him..I was going to bang him hard. I couldn’t surpass that smile on my face. I was so close.
“Hey, blondie, will you pay some attention?” Nardo snapped his fingers, “Yes, I can say that I am blond too.”
I turned my head to the seat next to the window, where Naruto was sitting. I saw him give this arrogant and annoyed look to Nardo. I didn’t know his kind face could even make that look.
“Am I talking to the walls or something?” Nardo asked.
“Pretty sure you were talking to Uchiha over there.” He rolled his eyes from Nardo to me. I narrowed my eyes.
“Is that so? Because it appears to me you are the one who is daydreaming.” He indicated with his head towards me. Daydreaming or planning my death? I guess the second one was more realistic. Naruto looked away and he frowned slightly.
“Owwh, do the two lovers have to sort some fight out?!” Ino said loudly.
“Pff…As if.” I leaned my head on my hand and rolled my eyes, automatically exhaling. I questioned myself what it was about Naruto that actually had made me like him. It certainly wasn’t this behavior. If he could just back off.
“Wait, hold on a sec. Dattebayo!” I turned my head to Naruto, uninterested. “Really, fucking kidding me, this is coming from the same fucked up guy that begged me to fuck him after like..Two light beers.”
My eyes widened. I have done a bunch of humiliating shit in my life, but this was by far the worst. I heard a few classmates whistling and ‘ow-ing’. All I could feel was the heartbreak in my heart and the shame. I could feel my eyes burn from the tears appearing in them. A part of me wanted to stand up and just get the fuck away from this fucking lab, this fucking class, and that fucking Naruto. It was the wisest thing to do before I would do something I regret. This was the mature way to go, even though I was furious.
I got up and I grabbed my bag from the ground, heading for the door.
“Right, because that is what you are good at. Walking away.” Naruto said.
I remained standing not even two steps away from my seat. Yes…Today WASN’T the day I was going to do the mature thing. I threw my bag on the ground. I was going to slaughter him. I shouldn’t be the only one suffering. He should! I wanted to hit him, punch him in his pretty blue eyes, break his nose, break his bones!
“You fucker!” I shouted at Naruto while Suigetsu tried to push me back, and I didn’t mean to hurt him when my body moved on its own and kicked him in the kneecap, landing him on the ground.
“Calm down!” I got grabbed from behind and no it wasn’t some brave guy who figured he was strong enough to hold me back from severely injuring Naruto. It was Haruno fucking Sakura. I wanted to roll her over my shoulder, so she would let go of me, but she was a step ahead of me. Not sure if she predicted my move, or learned what I was capable of during Military camp. Either way, she did the right thing to stop me from going to jail for assault or even murder at this point. Which was throwing my body over the table and onto the ground. I was too angry to even think clearly of how to soften my landing. As I slid over the table I fell right on the ground, I could only remember hearing the loud sound of my head hitting the ground and the immense headache that followed. I felt my body get raised from the ground, held into somebody’s arms. I opened my eyes half, hearing the professor shout my name a couple of times. Was he scolding me? His voice was getting vague, my vision was blurred and turned black.
Oxoxxoxoxoxoxo
I was standing in the corner of a white room. For the most part, it was empty except for the mattress on the ground. I turned around and saw a door, with a small window in it. I tried opening it, but it was locked. I looked through the window inside a hallway. It seemed familiar like I have been there before, but this room..I couldn’t tell where I knew it from. I turned myself around and blinked twice seeing suddenly somebody sitting in the corner of the room. Long hair, covering the face, one big white shirt that reached the person’s knees. I could hear a repeating ‘bonk’ from the head hitting the wall at the same pace as a second from a clock.
“Hey….” I didn’t approach the person right away, “where are we?” I asked. The stranger started whispering and I frowned. I got closer until and kneeled down. It was then I could tell the person was a woman.
“What did you say?” I asked, “speak up.” I added as my hand reached for the hair fallen all over her face. I shoved it aside, it felt familiar. Too familiar. The moment I could see the eyes..Those eyes…That crazy look. I knew right away who she was. “Mom,” I said. She didn’t respond, she was hugging her knees, tighter, hitting her head harder against the wall.
“No, no, mom, don’t.” I put my hand between her head and the wall, “don’t, don’t, stop!” I grabbed her face so she was forced to look at me and stop hurting herself. “Mom, it is me. I am your little boy.” I stroked her cheeks, they were wet. Her eyes looked around, searching for something. She was muttering something, but I couldn’t tell what she was saying.
“Mommy,” I whispered. Seeing her like this…No wonder Itachi-nii never allowed me to come near the…Mental institute… I looked around me. “No….No…,” I whispered. I turned my head to the door. I got pushed to the ground and I looked up meeting her eyes.
“Die! Die! Die!” Her hands were wrapped around my throat, putting all her weight on it. I gasped for air holding her wrists. I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t breathe! I pushed her off and gasped for air.
“No. Not again!” I was panting as I rolled on my side, tilting myself up from the ground. She was standing next to the door. “NOT AGAIN!” I screamed. “I can’t take it…I can’t take this ANYMORE!” I walked backward until my back hit the wall. I slit to the ground and hugged my legs tightly. I wanted to cry, I was crying, but tears weren’t rolling down my cheeks. Nothing was. The pressure in my heart didn’t get lighter. “Just kill me…Just fucking kill me already.” I whimpered as I looked up to meet her eyes, “I can’t do this…I can’t.” I hit the back of my head against the wall. I couldn’t take this pain, this sorrow, this guilt.
The door got smacked open and two guys dressed in white appeared in the room.
“Told you he was going to crack.”
“He is weak”
“Useless”
“Fucked-up.” They both grabbed me on each arm and I looked down at my wrists, I was handcuffed…But I couldn’t remember when…When did I get handcuffed? Where did my mother go?! I looked around the room, my eyes desperately trying to find her. She was nowhere to be found. I looked at my feet, they were shackled and I seemed to be wearing nothing but a long white shirt.
“My mother where is she?” I asked and turned my head to the man on the right.
“Pff..He is at it again.” He talked to his co-worker.
“Always the same story. Hey, psychopath, if you want any family visiting you, you might consider trying to kill yourself after visiting hours.”
“Family…Visiting hours?” I looked at the man on the left. “Where are you taking me? Where am I!?” I tried to fight back. “Let me go! Let me go! I am not crazy! I don’t belong here!” I shouted.
“That is what they all say.”
“I didn’t try to kill my own son!” I shouted, “I am nothing like my mother!”
“Of course you aren’t. You killed her like you killed your father like you killed that innocent man.” My eyes widened.
“I didn’t..That man wasn’t innocent! He was a stalker, obsessed freak! He killed my father, he caused my mother to become crazy!” They opened a door and threw me in a room. “I didn’t do anything wrong! It was a self-defence!” One man pinned me on the ground and gave me an injection. I screamed and tried to fight back, but I felt my body going numb. I laid on my back, looking at the dark ceiling. Everything was made out of this soft material. The floor, the walls…The roof…There was nothing in the room.
“The faster you accept it, the less painful it gets, murderer.” I turned my head to the door.
“Will you finish up?”
“Of course.” One of them left, leaving one behind. He walked up to me, kneeled next to my face.
“I am not crazy…” I whispered. I could see a devious smirk on his face before he took his cap off. My eyes widened. There he stood…The man that had ruined my entire life. The stalker, the killer, the freak.
“You are.” He said, I looked at his forehead, there was a bullet wound there. Blood dripping over his face. When did that appear? I couldn’t keep up.
“You are.” I saw my father stand behind the guy.
“No.No..” I closed my eyes and turned my head away, “This isn’t real…No..No..I am not crazy.” I bit my bottom lip.
“You are.” My eyes snapped open, seeing my mother next to me, holding a kitchen knife.
“No, no, Mommy, no! NO!”
—————————————————-
I saw a bright light shine in my eye and could see the silhouette of my mother. Her face was blurry, but I could see the shape of the eyes, the shape of the face and her long hair tied into a ponytail.
“NO! NO!” I screamed I got up, my head bumped into her and my hand reached for whatever my hand could grab at such short time. I held a night lamp and I smashed it on her head. She fell on the ground and I heard screaming. Everything was blurry, I could only see the color white around me. My breathing became faster. I had to flee, I had to escape from this mental institute. I tried to escape, but I got pushed down on the bed.
“Quick grab me the syringe!”
“No, don’t!”
Security was off guard by whoever was shouting. I used the opportunity to wrap my leg around his neck and push my torso, causing the man to fall on the ground. I raised my fist punching him in the face. Once. Twice..Trice. Somebody grabbed me from my back and I quickly stepped on the person’s toes before pushing my elbow in his guts and throwing him over my shoulder right against the wall. I heard glass shatter I looked down at a big piece. I managed to see myself. My bangs were fallen over my face.My face had some plasters, but I wasn’t paying attention to that. I was looking at the crazy eyes…Those crazy eyes.
I shut my eyes and grabbed that piece of glass from the ground. I stood up and I needed a moment to regain my balance. I looked up and saw the image of two blurry people, both in white, suddenly back away from the entrance. The man who held the syringe threw it on the ground, holding his hands up, just like the woman did. My grip around that piece of mirror tightened. I could feel drops of blood fall on the ground. I took one step towards the door but stopped seeing somebody appear. I couldn’t make much of it…Perhaps it was Minato? Had he sent me here? My hand tightened further around the mirror.
“Sasuke…” I looked confused. That sounded like Naruto.
“Sasuke, it’s alright.” He didn’t approach me.
“See these black thing in my hand?” I nodded. “These are your glasses. Now don’t be shocked. You are in the hospital, a medical hospital, your head hit the ground and you fainted. You have been out for like two hours.” I blinked a few times. “It is alright, you’re scared, I get that. Dattebayo.” I could see his arm reach out to me. “But I am here, and I won’t let anything happen to you. Alright?” He took a few steps closer. “Now drop the glass. You don’t need a weapon. I am here to protect you.” He said calmly ad he approached me slowly. I looked at the piece of mirror in my hand, it was covered in blood. I dropped it on the ground at the exact moment I felt Naruto’s hand on my waist. I could see him clearly now.
“Naruto.,” I whispered and he gave me his warm smile before putting the glasses on my face.
“It’s me,” He said. I smiled, I felt pathetic at this moment. “Come on, breath slowly. In…And out.” He said. I didn’t listen to him, I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him close to me.
“I was so scared. I was so scared!” I repeated myself. He stroked my back. “I was at this mental institute, she was there, she wanted to kill me! They were all there! All of them!” I kept rambling on and on. I couldn’t let go of him. I didn’t want to be separated from him. I felt safe, for once. I felt safe.
“It was a dream.” He said.
“It felt so real.” My voice was soft and pathetic on so many levels. I shut my eyes and I felt him hold me tighter. “She was here, I saw her.” I could feel Naruto stiffen slightly. He opened his mouth to say something but exhaled uncomfortably.
“That wasn’t ‘her’.” I could hear from his voice that he didn’t know I was referring to my mother. I slowly opened my eyes and turned my head to look behind me. My heart stopped beating when I saw Itachi-nii. I saw a broken lamp on the ground and the blood dripping from the wound on his head to his face wasn’t lying. I hurt my own brother. My body was shaking and my already heavy heart managed to become worse.
“Sasuke, breath in..And out.” I didn’t notice the hyperventilation until Naruto pointed out I had to breathe slowly in and out.
“I fucked up…,” I whispered. I couldn’t look at Itachi without feeling the guilt eat me from the inside.
“You should lay down.” I heard Itachi’s voice say. He sounded like his usual self, not angry…Or emotional. My grip around Naruto tightened again.
“You should, Sasuke. You had quite the hit on your head.” Naruto agreed.
“You…You are not going to transport me to a mental institute, are you?” I only was making it worse on me by looking at Itachi.
“Never.” He responded.
Oxoxoxoxoxoxox
“Look who woke up,” I opened my eyes and looked at Naruto. It seemed he hadn’t left my side. I couldn’t help but crack a smile. I sat up and looked around the room. Had I been dreaming? I looked at the bandage around my hand. I was disappointed, turns out it was real.
“So, Itachi had gotten the neuro scans back. You had a slight concussion, but you’re fine. Dattebayo.”
“He told you?” I asked, “How is he?”
“They had to glue it, but he is fine. A bit light headed but said because he saw my ugly face and puked twice thanks to it, Dattebayo!” He laughed, rubbing the back of his head.
“What are you doing here? Why are you trying to cheer me up? Why-”
“Because it is my fault.” He interrupted me, “I was angry. I wasn’t thinking straight and yes…This is all my fault.”
“My fucked-up mind is not your fault. It is like genetics or some shit.”
“No, what I said. It was bad, there is no way around it. It was a low blow and…I… I just still have growing up to do.”
“In my defense, it wasn’t the light beers. I hadn’t eaten all day. Also, I don’t drink that much-”
“You don’t have to defend yourself. Because honestly…I was tempted.” He had this little smug smile.
“What stopped you, my ugly face?” He cocked his head by my comment.
“No….It is because I care about you. I mean if you were a random guy I met at the bar. By all means, I would have done it in a bathroom stall.” He shook his head, “Putting that aside-”
“I want to know one thing.” I interrupted him, “Why do you care about me, so much?” He opened his mouth and I pushed my finger against his lips, “Don’t give me that ‘because we are friends’ speech or some shit. I will smack you with a nightlight. Believe me, I practiced.”
“Because…You are like a brother to me, dattebayo.” I felt ‘trolled’.
“Bitch, you don’t even have brothers. You don’t know jack shit about how a brotherly bond feels.”
“Fair enough!…I am witnessing you making the biggest mistake of your life, and yes…I don’t want you to get hurt, or regret it. I want to stop you from making that mistake. But you aren’t listening, you are never listening. So….Yes…I was pissed.”
“Pffff.” I laughed, turning my head away from Naruto before looking at him, “It sounds more like you regret something. I guess you made the wrong choice during Halloween.”
“Funny!” He said, shaking his head.
“But really Naruto. I might not have a dad to look after me, but I have five brothers. You don’t have to take that responsibility.”
“Are they taking care of you or are you taking care of them?” I was about to open my mouth to say something, “Because I recall you beating up somebody who tried to hurt Obito, carried a drunk Maddy to his room, always forgive Itachi for neglecting you, cleaning Izuna’s shit up and dealing with the terrible girlfriend choice of Shisui.”
“But I am fine, besides they do tons of things for me too. So, I will release you from your self-proclaimed daddy role.”
“Yeah, I heard from Izuna you accidently called Suké dad.”
“One time! I was sleeping! Besides, this has nothing to do with the professor,” I said. He smiled and his finger poked my cheek.
“Whatever. Go get him, tiger.” He sat back in the chair, kicking himself towards the window.
“Knock-knock.” I turned my head to the door and smiled, seeing Nardo. “How are you feeling?” He asked as he got in the room.
“Not bad, but my head hurts quite a lot.” I got on my elbows, “Aah, my mom used to give me a kiss against the pain, though I doubt it would work this time.” I put up my sweetest face.
“Owh, you poor little boy.” He approached the bed and laid the rose from the gift shop on the counter.
“You son of a bitch!” I screamed, suddenly feeling Naruto above me.
“My mother is dead! Show some respect!”I shouted.
“You son of a dead bitch! Dattebayo! Not even two seconds and you are back at it!” He shouted.
“You told me to get him. You said that 3 seconds ago!” I shouted back.
“I will punch you in that pretty face!” He shouted, “I was indicating for you to do the right thing! Which is listening to me!”
“Fuck Naruto, I thought you were just like your father, but you seem to be just like your mother!”
“It seems you’re lacking good beating from your mother!”
“Teenagers…They are the worse with oxytocin involved.” He scratched his cheek.
“You should shut up! Dattebayo!” Naruto hissed.
“Hey, don’t talk to Bang Crush like that!” I grabbed Naruto by his collar while he a gripped on mine.
“Bang…What?” Nardo looked confused
“Don’t you dare act innocent. Fucking lab coats hanging everywhere and you give this fucker your shirt?”
“I hate to break it to you, professor, but you did look at the ecchi picture.” I said, “Don’t worry. Together we will make an entire album.” I winked, but then got head bumped by Naruto.I hissed in pain.
“Keep it in your pants, bastard!” He shouted.
“Hey mate, so I heard you knocked urself out and then had PTSD moment. I figured the least I could do is visit the person who hit my boyfriend with a lamp and gets away with it.” Suké walked inside and didn’t even look around the room, “what did you get yourself into. Blondie, get the fuck off him.” with one pull he pulled Naruto off me.
“Suké? Nightsky…Suké?” Suké looked up and his expression blanked. He dropped his bag and ran to the door, though it was his bad luck Itachi just happened to block it.
“Honey, what is going on?“ Itachi asked. I could see a plaster on his head and I felt guilty again.
“Uhm..Ah..Uhm..” He turned his head back and then back at Itachi, “Remember that jackass ex of mine. Waldo the idiot. Yeah…Turns out he is Waldo.” Suké pointed behind him.
“Uhm..I am professor Sunray, but you can call me Nardo.” He said.
“Wait…Professor Sunray? Otouto, he is your bang crush.” Itachi stated.
“Ooh~ So Sasuke’s bang crush is Suké’s ex who is now Sasuke’s brother’s boyfriend. How ironic.” Naruto seemed amused.
“What in a hell is a bang crush?” Nardo looked confused and then looked back at Suké, “Why are you running away from me. I have been searching-”
“Owh, naff off!” Suké interrupted Nardo, “You married that nobody and have not one, but two brats with her. The same fucking year you begged me to come to you.”
“I have been trying to explain-”
“You promised to come back in two years, but you never did!”
“No bitch, I said I would come back when I got my bachelor….I ain’t got no bachelor because I quit the moment I hear you married-…I don’t even know her name!”
The argument heated and I Naruto sat next to me in the bed.
“Are you following this?” Naruto whispered.
“Yeah…So turns out Nardo is not over Suké, but Suké has finally moved on with niisan. But he is still angry at Nardo, for breaking his heart.” I whispered.
“I am…I am not sure what is going on.” Itachi sat on the edge of the bed. He looked from his boyfriend to…Well, his boyfriend’s ex.
“I think this is foreplay.” Naruto joked.
“Yeah definitely. Fanfiction rule. When an argument gets heated, one of them will get roughly kissed and pressed against the wall.”
“Otouto…Why didn’t you bang the bang crush…At least he would have been away from my boyfriend.”
“Yeaaahhh…..Y’know what…Now…That I know Suké has tapped that first…Well..I think the bang crush is gone.”
“Fucking finally.” Naruto turned his head towards me. I saw Suké grab Nardo by his collar.
“HEY!” Itachi raised his voice.
“I am going to punch him!” Suké said.
“Owh, alright. For a moment I thought the two of you were going to make out.” Itachi crossed his legs.
“I…I am going take that…I don’t have to return your tie no more?” I interrupted them.
“What is that brat doing with your tie?” Suké looked furious.
“Owh, jeez, I was only trying to get in his pants for a month.”
“You were what?!” Nardo looked shocked.
“My god, you really have a type.” Suké shook his head, “bang your own blond!”
“Oh well, guess we got to listen.” Naruto wrapped his arm around me.
“Get your hands off him.” I heard Itachi say.
“Right..” Naruto removed his hand and cleared his throat, “Aren’t you…Feeling a little afraid of losing Suké to Nardo?”
“Naruto, look at me. Really look at me. What do I have to fear?” Itachi asked.
“Nothing..” Naruto scratched his cheeks.
“Indeed. He hurts, he is dead. I will make sure of that. I will fake his death and I will get away with it.” Itachi didn’t seem too worried.
“Nah… Sasuke? I think I have a bang crush.” I smacked Naruto in the face.
“Fuck to the no,” I said and I heard him laugh.

Cloak or jacket?
Summary:How Naruto told Sarada that she achieved her dream of being hokage.
A hawk was pecking on her window, she would of ignored it if it wasn’t wearing an orange ribbon, which signifies that it is from the hokage himself.
‘Seriously, what does he want at 1 a.m.’ Sarada thought as got up from bed and headed to the hokage tower.
On her way there she was thinking about Naruto’s behaviour these last few days.
‘He keeps his hokage hat on all day,he’s been having a lot of meetings with the elders, he challenged to a fight a few days before, and he’s actually doing his paperwork fast without Mister Shikamaru nagging him,and Boruto did mention that uncle has stopped refiling the stock of ramen cups in his office, maybe he’s listening to mama’s advice and cutting back a little,’
Sarada chuckled knowing that that will never happen before knocking on the hohage’s door, she opened it to see him sitting on his chair, his hat on his head , and a small stack of paperwork in front of him.
‘‘Sorry for waking you up at this time Sarada but it’s very important.’’
Naruto had a serious look on his face, which is weird since he looked very happy this week.
‘Shit, this might be very dangerous, it might be a dangerous enemy, but he wouldn’t send me alone to face someone dangerous, not because he didn’t trust in my abilities but because he believed that in teamwork everything is resolved faster and safer, then it must be something political, I am the ambassador of konoha after all,and it’s gotta be very important meeting if it’s in the middle of the night, likely with the ambassadors of the other hidden villages.’ Sarada ‘s thoughts were interrupthed with Naruto’s voice.
‘‘Sarada.’‘ he said with a stern voice.
‘‘Yes sir.’‘
He took a deep breath as if getting ready to reveal a big secret.
‘‘Do you prefer a jacket or a cape?’‘ he said bluntly, stern look still on his face.
‘‘WHAT?!’‘ Sarada questioned with wide eyes.
Sarada left brow twitched when the hokage started laughing.
‘‘You should have seen your face Sara-chan.’‘ he said as he leaned over his desk.
‘And this is the strongest shinobi in the world .’ Sarada thought, but she could feel her lips twitching upward in a smile at his childish behavior.
When he calmed down he grinned and said:’‘I think you’ll look more badass in a jacket, maybe a black one,it suits you better, don’t you think?’‘ he said with a raised eyebrow.
‘‘Yeah it does, but i don’t need a jacket, the girl on fire isn’t going to get cold uncle.’‘
‘‘Oh yeah, the jacket of the Phoenix of the leaf should be fire proof.’’he said as he scribbled it down on a piece of paper.
‘‘Well Id love a fire proof jacket, maybe with sparkly fire designs so it will go great with my fire proof sparkly boots.’‘ She deadpanned.
‘So he woke me up in the middle of the night to talk about jackets,i would’ve expected Chou-Chou or Hima, but not the Hokage himself.
‘‘Very funny Sarada,so black fire proof jacket with some traditional fire designes on the edges, you agree?’‘
The young women just glared at him,a glare that would have intimidated the bravest of men , but his smile only grew wider.
‘‘You’re kinda mean at night time, you know that?’‘
‘‘Yeah that tends to happen when I’m woken up after an S class mission to discuss fashion, sir.’‘ she said, lips turned slightly down in a frown.
‘‘Well, i bet on every ramen stand in the village that i can turn that frown into a wide smile in one phrase Sara-chan.’‘
‘‘I doubt that sir.’‘ she said eyebrow quirking up at the challenge.
‘‘Well then.’‘he said as he scribbled on his paper and then handed it to Sarada.
Sarada noticed that his hand was shaking as he handed her the paper, but the kind of shaking that signifies excitement not fear or anxiety.
‘‘Hmm’’ Sarada hummed as she read the paper which said:
Konoha fabrics product order:
-Jacket:-black
-Fire proof
-traditional flames on the edges (This is a special request of Tatsuo who will know what that means.)
‘Hm isn’t Tatsuo the grandson of that lady that used to make the hokages cloaks ‘Sarada thought before she continued reading.
-Written at the back in bold red letters ‘‘ Hashidaime.’‘
Sarada looked back and forth between Naruto and the paper, mouth agape, until the paper dropped from her hands.
‘‘Please, please tell me you’re not playing some cruel joke.’‘She said while running her fingers through her hair and while taking deep breaths .
‘‘I wouldn’t dare ,you’d punch from here to Kumo.’‘ he said as got up and stood between her and his desk.
‘‘You mean i actually did it?! I’m gonna be hokage!’‘Sarada said as she jumped up and down , a wide smile on her face.
‘‘I told i can get rid of miss cranky and sleepy.’‘
‘‘I gotta go tell Boruto,oh no he’s on mission i gotta tell my parents,i gotta tell sensei and and--’‘
Sarada finaly ran out of breath, the combination of jumping and excitment and talking ran her out,but her smile was still as wide as it was when she moved forward and threw her arms around Naruto.
‘‘Thank you, thank for training me , for making me your apprentice and for picking me.’‘
‘‘Hey! i should be the one thanking you Dattebayo!’‘
Sarada laughed as she moved away and wiped her tears, she looked at him and started laughing again.
‘‘What?’‘
‘‘That’s why you wouldn’t take off your hat.’‘
‘‘Of course not,i have to say goodbye to my darling before you take her from me.’‘
Sarada chuckled, she normally wasn’t a giggly person, but this, this is something she fought for since she was 12,her inspiration to attain this position only grew when she knew about her clan, and she just couldn’t believe that she got here.
‘‘But why me?’‘ she asked.
‘‘Huh?’‘
‘‘You could have picked Boruto or Konohamaru sensei, but why me?’‘
Naruto grinned and patted her head.
‘‘Cause Sarada, over the years I’ve seen you fight many battles , both mentally and physically and through those battles I’ve seen that you’re will of fire will never fade, and i didn’t make you the leaf ambassador for nothing, it was to see you’re political skills, that both Boruto and Konohamaru don’t have and besides a Hokage must have the desire to connect with as much people as she can and wasn’t that your original reason for wanting this position Sara-chan?’‘
‘’yeah.’‘
‘‘Now , know why I got you here at night?’‘
‘‘Actually no, why?’‘
‘‘So that you’ll go and wake Sasuke, he’s getting pretty lazy these days.’‘
‘‘Give him a break, Saboro won’t let him rest, he always wants to train.’‘
‘‘Yeah he’s getting old.’‘
‘‘You’re the same age uncle.’‘ she said with a a cocky grin.
‘‘You know i can still change my mind on the hokage thing.’‘
‘‘And I’m going, bye!’‘ she said as she ran at top speed from the window,Naruto followed her fading back as she got closer to her parents house, he then looked at his fathers face on the mountain.
‘‘My duty as hokage to this village is over now,and I am sure i made the right choice for my successor and that the village will continue to prosper under her rule.’‘
After a few minutes of starring at the hokage faces he sighted.
‘‘Sarada’s right, I am getting old.’‘
A knock resounded on the door ,Naruto was surprised to find out that it was his son.
‘‘Hey dad i finished the mission early, what’s this?’‘ he picked the paper off the ground and read it.
‘‘Sarada?’‘
‘‘Yeah.’‘
‘‘You tell her yet?’‘
‘‘Yeah i just did, i wish you were here, she was ecstatic.’‘
A smile made it’s way to Boruto’s lips.
‘‘You know Boro, you should pop that ring tomorrow .’‘
‘‘I was planing on doing it this week that’s why i visited uncle Sasuke yesterday.’‘
‘‘Well i should probably go sleep, big day tomorrow,oh and dad nice choice on the black jacket, she looks more badass in black.’‘ he said as he closed the door to his fathers office.
‘‘Heh, and Sasuke says I have a terrible fashion sense,i just picked his daughters hokage jacket, and orange is always in Dattebayo!’‘
Loud banging was heard on the door of the Uchiha household, the Uchiha couple sensed it was their daughter that’s why they rushed down stairs and opened the door to a smiling Sarada.
‘‘Sarada what’s wrong?’‘ Sakura asked as she pulled Sarada inside.
‘‘Nee-san you okay?’‘ said the brown haired Uchiha boy, his sharingan activated checking for threats.
‘‘I’m fine, I’m great.’‘
‘‘Then why did you wake us at 3a.m?’‘ asked a grumpy Sasuke.
‘‘Well, i was discussing jacket details with the hokage,it’s going to be black and fireproof.’‘
There was a momnet of silence until Sakura broke it, a hopeful expression on her face.
‘‘Sarada you mean your dream jacket?’‘
It wasn’t that hard to guess after the details she just gave and the wide smile on her face.
Sarada nodded and she was immediately squashed against her mother.
‘‘Honey i knew you could do it.’‘
‘‘Do what? tell us already!’‘ said Saboro, while Sasuke was standing beside him finally catching up after getting rid of his sleepiness.
‘’Sarada.’’he didn’t say any other thing his eyes said it all for him, happiness, pride, hope.
‘’Okay someone tell me what is going on here!’’Saboro shouted .
‘‘I’m going to become hachidaime,I did it! I did it! Shanaroo!’‘
‘‘My daughters going to become hokage shanaroo!.’‘
‘‘Hn’‘
‘‘My sisters hokage, i’m going to be the coolest kid in the village!’‘
‘‘We should go and celebrate!’‘ Sakura said.
‘‘But it’s 3 in the morning Sak.’‘
‘’So? my Sasa achieved her dream we will wait until the stores open.
‘‘Mama! You can’t call a hokage that!’‘
‘‘Sak we will celebrate tomorrow.’‘
‘‘No, shanaroo!’‘
‘‘I want cake!’‘
‘‘Stop it guys that’s an order from the hokage!’‘
