I was like six, so like there's no bigger nightmare than your dad losing a fight, right? When you're like a young boy? So, to watch that on a stage and then not be able to comfort him or not be able to like, get involved because it would interrupt the kind of social decorum or the agreement that the audience has made that are enjoying it. I was like, 'Fuck, this is fucked up!' So I think my whole life, I was very interested in the subjectivity of reality because it was always weird for me."

Non transmitigation au where Shen Yuan auditions for a part in PIDW on a lark when it gets a live action adaptation, not thinking he’ll actually get a part (he just wanted to be able to say he did it okay? He was dated okay??! He was not dared he just thought it’d be neat, but he’ll admit to nothing.) and, much to his horror, ends up cast as Shen Qingqiu.

He somehow accidentally makes Shen Qingqiu so likable that he’s the most popular character. The fandom goes feral over him. He becomes famous. New fans are joining the bandwagon in droves to watch him.

And all the while, Shen Yuan is frantically trying to pretend he isn’t the most notorious anti fan troll to clown on the internet. He has never heard of PIDW before what do you mean Peerless Cucumber whomst?

there’s something about the way the scoobies allow spike to partially integrate with them in buffy’s absence but only insofar as he’s being Useful and clearly only because they understand he wouldn’t allow it to be different. he can walk amongst them because he’s strong and he made a promise but they don’t actually view him as a man (not even as human, but as someone capable of grief), and as soon as they bring back buffy, he’s gone from their minds, relegated back to the shadows and not even considered. and how that aligns with how they think of buffy….. buffy is beloved unlike spike but she’s also Useful. her strength is there again so they don’t need his, she’s buffy so she’ll take care of everything, they just have to wait. she will say thank you!

but while the scoobies are waiting for buffy to Go Back To Normal, to take up her slayer mantle and do what they need her to do….. buffy (barely conscious, barely aware of her surroundings) goes to spike. and for as much as the season dives into the Darkness in their connection. it feels very important that when she comes back, the scoobies forget about spike and Other him again, meanwhile buffy instinctively understands that spike isn’t seeing and speaking to Old Buffy(tm), he isn’t watching her every move and reaction to compare it to how she used to be, he’s just. seeing her. and understanding her. both their hands are hurt. and….. she doesn’t have to lie. she can be alone with him there.

JP Paimon is like, so rude compared to EN Paimon it cracks me up.

For starters, her usual second person pronoun is オマエ (omae). This is standard for rude/direct characters in anime, so it might not sound that bad, but in real life, this could easily get you in a fistfight. And she never changes it for anyone, no matter how important they are.

Also, zero honorifics. She calls anyone by name. No さん (-san), no 殿 (-dono), no 様 (-sama), nothing. Just the name and name alone. The only one that gets the honor is Diluc... Or ディルックの旦那 (Master Diluc), as she calls him.

She's also kind of foul-mouthed, lmao. You know how Paimon calls Venti "Tone-Deaf Bard"? Well, in JP it's 吟遊野郎 (Bard Bastard). No hesitation whatsoever.

And you know what? I wouldn't have her any other way.

I'm not entirely sure in what way you meant this ask, but I'll do my best.

In terms of adoration, he would do anything for his new family. They've been with him through every step of his journey, and have never once made him feel unwelcome or like a burden (well, except that one time Loop tried to kill him, but that's beside the point). If the Universe itself came down and tried to take one of his family members away, he would not stop until he had them back, no matter at what cost.

If you mean romantically. Well. Let's just say he has very strong emotional reactions to a few very specific party members.
