Just about all forms of pop culture get covered in this week's Duck Amuck in Japan! But first, King Baby Duck makes an error about how AFLM ranked a certain hentai category, but it all clears up nicely in the end. The guys pay tribute to voice actor George Lowe, whose Space Ghost was an instrumental part of modern entertainment. Surprisingly, JonStar gets into some Oscar talk, but it's all about the animation category.

AFLM finally gets his VCards, and KBD has some theories about the new Ghost frontman. However, a TrySail concert at Budokan has our host experiencing the worst seat in the house! But shocking news about the Black Torch anime perks the spirits back up, and the Tetris Twins share their thoughts on the first volume of Dead Rock. Lastly, it's another Steam Next Fest run, with a plethora of fun titles the guys experience!

Maybe they build coffer-dam -like spaces under a top layer of beaver-dam, so the dragon can support itself on the actual earth and not need a shit ton of support for an above layer. It could even layer earth on top of the walls of the dam (surely with enough limestone it can make cement or some similar thing? Maybe it could fire some clay) and grow trees there as well.

And swamps are not the same as mangroves, but a dragon cave in the roots of a giant mangrove would look so cool!

So D&D black dragons are supposed to live in swamps, right? Pretty amphibious, live in swamps, lair in...

I really have trouble with the idea that there's these dragon-sized caves in an area with such a high water table, y'know? We have to go through miles of swamp to reach this lair, it's not one little boggy place in a mountain valley otherwise filled with nice caves. And the cave has to have two entrances, too? I can believe in dragons, but not this geology.

So... maybe it's not geology. Because a lair in a marshy place with exacting design specifications sounds a lot like a totally natural thing --

A beaver lodge.

So now I have this new image of black dragons industriously gnawing down giant trees to construct their mighty swamp lairs, and I am so much happier.
