“Y’know, you’re annoying as shit.” Kaiser hates himself immediately. He’s hoping you beg and cry to him; it’s some stupid ploy he wants to try on you, testing you in some way. He would compare it to the way a cat scratches its owner, but he knows he’s doing something way worse than that. 

He braces himself for you to yell and get mad, but you just sit still and…nod. No rebuttal of any sort, which makes the whole thing worse. 

In an attempt to save himself: he jokes about it “like, you’re so damn cute all the time, asking me about my day. I just want to sleep but now I need to cuddle you and let you pamper me.” 

He pats your head. And he doesn’t miss how you flinch from him. Did that comment hurt that badly? you’re never like this. 

“I didn’t mean it. You know that.” Kaiser tries to reason with you, but it’s worthless really. You get stuck in your head easily, and he only huffs in response to your lack of one. 

“Do I actually annoy you?” Your throat constricts around his words. It's not like you weren't aware of what kind of person he could be, but you've thought he trusted you enough not to play these games.

Kaiser can only feel what most humans would describe as guilt. Maybe even pity. You’re worse than he is at this whole emotions thing. 

“Not really. I wanted to see how you’d react.” Yeah. Remorse would be it. You’ve never looked more pathetic before. 

Your sleeves are frayed from  picking at them, a habit that has only worsened with your current boyfriend. It’s not lost on Kaiser; a certain part of him revels in drawing such emotions from you. He knows a normal person would have fought with him, but he’s knocked down so many of your self-imposed beliefs and wishes that you have nothing else and no one else to turn to. His heart feels sick, but his mind is happy knowing you won’t be leaving his side anytime soon. 

You try to laugh, and Kaiser only scoffs again. Yeah. Annoying. He wants to take care of you. 

"you're meant to refute that, you're allowed to." It sickens him that he has to remind you. That the both of you need reminders that its okay.

you whisper his name once, then twice, before he willingly falls into your arms. He does the best to apologize, a soft kiss there, and a word or two of affirmation (hidden behind gentle scolding).

I can't rewrite this season but if it was up to me, I'd still have the Umbrellas sacrificing themselves to save the timeline and at the end we see the Umbrellas still alive, but they're all living different lives and perhaps with varied ages to show that its not their existence that caused the timeline to get fucked up, but the marigold that started everything.

The Umbrellas were always meant to exist and live, but it was the marigold that caused the timeline getting muddled and disrupted their existence. Without it, the Umbrellas (and every other kids that were created by the marigold) were able to be born and live their lifes normally like they were always meant to.

Would it still have a lot of plotholes? Yes. Would it make sense? Perhaps not but at least its better than what they implied with the ending which is very upsetting and dangerous the longer you think about it.

A good example of the dynamic these three have. You just know that Patton has a date scheduled with Remus later and everything this really is just him being overly dramatic.

The thing about Remus is he likes dating Patton but he’ll never fully commit because he’s desperately waiting for Janus to get over Virgil and finally date/marry him.

Patton is struggling because let’s face it the girl is a people pleaser set to max settings. Part of him knows Remus sucks but like multiple people love him and want to date her and maybe that’s reason enough to continue. Long term mental health issues? What’s that?

Logan is a jealous clingy little guy who is so convinced he’s hiding his displeasure. He thinks he’s keeping a straight face but nothing about that man is straight. Including the glares and scowls he gives anytime he sees Remus. However if Patton seems happy then logically why end their relationship. Instead he’ll just silently plan Remus’ demise you know like a normal person

All that to say. These three all need therapy. Maybe even….cartoon therapy?

To be fair sskk is kinda toxic yaoi, they started at a very bad place but they have progressed now

I'm sure you're addressing my post where I say "saying sskk is toxic is a lie", and please note that the tags CLEARLY point out a heavy emphasis on the PRESENT TENSE of the word "is". Shin Soukoku, Akutagawa and Atsushi, in their PRESENT TENSE, in their current, in their character growth as of right now isn't toxic

When did I EVER say Sskk was healthy from the start? When did I EVER say Sskk haven't grown and changed?

I am VERY well aware that their relationship had a bad start. You don't need to tbf me, anon, I know

It's not toxic ANYMORE, and that's what matters here. And, imo, it would not have stayed toxic. It didn't stay toxic. It just isn't toxic

How many times do I or other people need to state Sskk's case and how they're both written and intertwined?

Do you know how many people in Bungou Stray Dogs, in manga, in media all over, try to hurt each other before bonding? Murder each other before understanding each other? A lot. Because that is, as I said, enemies to lovers

Yes, a relationship should care about the past, and the present. But a relationship can also HEAL from the past, if that past was toxic, and that's what Sskk did. Who they were to each other then and who they are to each other now are different things

Anon is saying sskk is "kind of toxic", but I disagree. Sskk "was toxic in the past". Keyword; WAS. Both Atsushi and Akutagawa are much more than what they were in the beginning (in both how they treated and saw each other, how they are as people, and how they treat and see others too)

Do I have bring up Beast, too? The cafe scene? That domestic scene that proves Atsushi and Akutagawa can get along perfectly fine and genuinely enjoy each other's company, relating and feeling comfortable? The scene that proves how healthy Sskk can truly be?

(and yes, I know there is plenty more to Beast and Beast Sskk than just that cafe scene, but I wanted to bring it up, it's a vital thing in the sskk community)

Plus, why did Atsushi and Akutagawa have such a bad start to knowing each other? Circumstance. It's always circumstance. Akutagawa was told to hate Atsushi automatically, since he was from the Armed Detective Agency. Atsushi was told to hate and fear Akutagawa, since he was from the Mafia. They were told to immediately dislike the other due to their circumstances and standings of organizations

But when they started to personally know each other? Learn more about the other and why exactly they see each other in themselves? That's when you can truly see their feelings

There are a lot of layers to Sskk's relationship, I won't be covering every single one obviously, but I would just like to say, anon. Sskk is not toxic. Not "kind of" toxic, either. Was it potentially toxic in the very beginning? Yes. Have they both grown past that by far? Yes. So I think Sskk would be completely ruled under not toxic, because it's toxic no longer. Yes, it was rocky in the start, but the past and the present are two different things. If they've completely moved past the toxicity, then they should NOT be put under toxic at all

Also before someone goes and says "but I don't think Sskk would be very good at properly loving each other until they learned" that's ALSO NOT TOXIC. Not knowing how to date someone correctly isn't toxic, that's just being out of depth. It's freaking normal, and how would that be toxic? If Akutagawa and Atsushi needed time to develop their relationship and learn more about each other, that's a healthy sign, not a toxic one

Sskk's potential and current relationship are both healthy. And that is what matters

sort of a scribble note of a post but thinking about daniel molloy and potential madness again…the issue with mayfair witches is it handed me a talamasca agent that does memory alterations. cip, another talamasca character that can see memories when touching anything, says those memories are gone forever. there is no coming back; it’s literal static to him now. this keeps leading me down the road that if daniel molloy is actually missing memories? a likely culprit is albrecht. now here’s the thing: vampirism is confirmed to be a cure for some ailments, like parkinson’s (bummer but oh well). if daniel did get wiped down by albrecht, would his vampirism attempt to treat memory loss as a wound? something to be healed? so back to daniel molloy’s potential madness arc - if your mind starts stitching your memories back up, could it drive you mad? could daniel get so lost in the present, building his past, that he goes mad?

Also on this episode of late night thoughts with crescent: the idea of Byakuya being such a workaholic that he doesn’t always get adequate sleep spawned by that meme is now burrowing in my brain as facts, canon.

I can also see him as the type to not like sleeping in front of others or even appearing tired and literally powering through it as much as physically possible because he’s a perfectionist and being a little sleepy isn’t an excuse to not tackle that stack of paperwork. He can sleep when he’s dead.
