eons ago @hopetorun and i actually talked through a firefighters au as a brady/quinn fic, due to how the tkachuks have firefighting ties in boston and quinn took all those cute pictures visiting that one firehouse earlier this season. i don't feel like finding them, i assume you know the ones because you are a person of taste and good priorities. anyway the concept was basically like, quinn and brady as childhood besties and young captains of separate nearby firehouses, pillars of the community really!! throw in some emergency responder adrenaline and a good classic near-death experience to get them [demi lovato beat drops] ~ruining the friendship, follow up with some pining and yearning and miscommunication caused by busy, conflicting schedules and long hours until everyone gets their shit together.

this au should absolutely pull from the 9-1-1 tradition of ridiculous dramatic high-stakes first responder shenanigans, for maximum adrenaline-fueled decision making 🙏
