looked at Riolu Kid vs. Brycen-Man reviews this morning (I shouldn't be doing that for the sake of my mental health but oh well) and here are some of my favorites:

"what if Brycen-Man was called Freaky-Man" this is somehow still better than Brycen naming his character after himself

"I liked the part where Brycen-Man said 'it's Brycen time' and Brycen'd all over the place" what does this even mean

several other comments on Brycen-Man that I will not repeat

"why did they give the Riolu the personality of a twelve year old that claims to be dangerous and insane but actually they're just twelve" answer: because it was funny and that's also just Loki's (the actual Riolu) personality

"I love the contrast between Leandro, snarky full-of-himself repressed popular boy, and his actor August who posts Hoenn Rangers AMVs to their Mewtube Channel at 2 am" SHUT UP

the reply to that comment "the hoenn rangers franchise is older than them what 😭" OKAY AND? IT STILL GOES HARD

"August did great but I swear Leandro looked like he had eyebags in a couple scenes for no reason are they alright" no those were the scenes recorded after I came back from being possessed by a god that's been in suffering for over 2,000 years next question

"I think the funniest part is that August has literally lived through things more insane than anything that happens in this or any other superhero movie" SHUT UP

Take the translation with a grain of salt I really did try to translate that as best as I possibly could, and I don't trust Google translate enough for it, but like yeah, that's the closest I can get to it

RIOLU KID VS. BRYCEN-MAN: BATTLE FOR CASTELIA CITY

Synopsis:

Leandro Castillo always had a strange connection with his Riolu- the Pokemon his late father gave to him before passing in a tragic accident. In their youth, not only were the two glued at the hip- but he always swore to his peers he was able to hear it speak. Over the years, though, these claims didn't get him much else but odd looks and attention from bullies- until his still grieving mother couldn't take it anymore, and sent Riolu off to live at his grandparent's farm. After a long period of getting used to life without his best friend, things actually worked out quite well for Leandro by the time he made it to high school; he joined the ranks of the popular students, he's become a top student and is well on his way to getting into the university his mother wanted him to attend, life couldn't be better! That is, until, Riolu mysteriously shows up at his door once more and claims a great danger looms over the city, and Leandro is destined to stop it. Not long after, those claims turn out to be true- A villain by the name of Brycen-Man appears to seize control of the city, and the mysterious power of Aura begins to awaken inside Leandro. Can he rise into the role of the superhero Riolu Kid with his partner Pokemon at his side, and stop Brycen-Man's reign of terror?
