The RED line, or ‘Robot Enhanced Design’ are Hasbro’s Transformers version of the Star Wars Black Series, or Marvel Legends series; non-Transforming toys of characters throughout Transformers history. This version of Arcee is from  Transformers Prime, and is my second figure of this line.

If you notice Arcee’s default hands these are obvious trigger fingers, however she doesn’t come with any hand gun, so this is just odd to me.

Effects part?

If you attach these swishy effects parts to the blades, I guess it kind of gives a motion blurr effect...maybe...

If you look at the back of the box however you’ll see that the swish was probably intended to be translucent plastic for strike marks, or something to that effect...Was this an error or Hasbro being cheap?

I prefer the closed fists.

Final Thoughts:

I want to like RED Arcee, but I am disappointed with it.

The toy looks good; as Jobby the Hong would put is this toy is a nice example of the ‘Roger Rabbit Effect’ where it looks like it just popped out of the Transformers Prime animated series. Hasbro has done such a great job capturing TFP’s unique design to that show. 

However the floppy left knee joint, the gray swiping effects, and the out of place trigger fingers are negatives to the $20 toy, which should really only be about $10.

Been thinking about this for a while. Just wanted to note this is something about R.E.D. Prime Arcee's design we like a lot because her inner chest looks like greebly alien robot chassis and isn't just human boob gland on a robot or an exterior fuel tank. The latter of which if you're going to do alien robot boob we think is a way to go besides having a coiled hose and/or port to a non visible fuel tank further in the frame, Nautica likely having fursuits and some transformers with anatomically accurate animal-modes aside lmao.

For those who don't know ,exterior armor chest to chest by attachable cable fuel exchange has actually happened in the comics in a rather familial way of exiled revolutionary de facto adoptee to elderly mentor figure: Megatron and Terminus, in MTMTE #34! Athough said cable was a utility tool that had to be added to both, not coming out of the chest of one of them.

I'll share the Grand Tour of all my silly robot collection because I got the tism,

These are my TFP figures from the R.E.D. line. Arcee and Knockout were my first transformers figures ever and I stalked the Hasbro Pulse site for a YEAR waiting on TFP Optimus and Megatron. They're fairly affordable and retailed for $25 each. I bought my Optimus and Megatron from Big Bad Toy Store online so if you want a reliable seller for not a high markup price I totally recommend grabbing them there.

These are some random Optimus's I've gotten over the years, from left to right I have a RID Optimus my brother gave to me, a Flame Toys Furai (I think) G1 Optimus model kit I found in a hobby lobby, a Rise of the Beasts Optimus I snagged while in Ohio, and an Orion Pax figure my dad bought me.

This shelf has the most recent additions, left to right I got the Earthspark Optimus while I was in Florida this past week, the fig pin in a V-Stock, the other Optimus on top of the Funko I ALSO in Florida this past week, the Funko Pop from my brother yesterday, the worlds smalled Optimus from a toy store, and the MLP Optimus on EBay.

I love info dumping about my poor financial decisions TYSM. Other collections I have include some shadow high dolls and my obscene G3 MLP collection but those are adventures for another time. But otherwise I am planning on resin printing that TFP Soundwave model that's going around (waiting on the resin to come in) and I'm cosplaying Optimus for an anime convention I'm going to soon! Which will be the Bishoujo figure's outfit and I'll 3d print his helm to wear so YAY! I go to college this fall and I'm planning on bringing all my Optimuses for my dorm lmao so I'll probably share that adventure when decorating my dorm (also found an Optimus twin bed set 👁️👁️).

Mante always had a soft spot for Hyo, from R.E.D to Z-Brats. Apparently, they met for the first time outside Korakuen Hall, with Mante coming up to him and speaking in Spanish because he thought Hyo was Mexican. The two hit it off from there.

By 'physical transformation' I mean he went from "a guy" to "most muscular dude on the roster."

Both as a heel and face, he flexes a lot. But as a heel he flexed for himself and as a face he flexes for the fans.

SB Kento (know now as just SKB) has since left Dragongate.

If you are not aware, Dragongate recently had a 5-way steel cage match where either your hair or mask was on the line between Kzy, Jason, Kamei, Hyo, and Shun. Hyo went into the cage specifically to protect Kamei and ended up losing his hair because of it. But in the end, he protected his target (and got Kamei in Big Hug), so he's cool with being bald.

Shun thinks both Jason and Kamei are his property. During their time in Natural Vibes, he would say that Kzy was keeping them away from him and that he was evil and squandering their potential. However, just because Kzy was a good leader and let Kamei go to Big Hug doesn’t mean that Shun likes Kzy again as he thinks it was a weak move.

Big Hug are no better than NV in Shun’s books, as Hyo and Mante are both traitors to Z-Brats, so I imagine Shun will still be desperate to get Kamei on his side.

Known to surprise people by brandishing a finger gun and yelling “POW!”

Things That Annoy Me About The Transformers Fandom, Edition 1: "If It Doesn't Transform, It's Not A Transformer".

I've been a fan of Transformers and have been in the fandom for quite some time now and there are things that pop up that annoy me and so, as I come up with them, I am going to make a series of posts in which I give my opinion on why these thing annoy me. So, for the first one I wanted to tackle to extremely annoying sentence I see way too often and that's that "If it doesn't transform, it's not a Transformers".

The main reason that this annoys me when I see people say it is because this in an incorrect statement if you ask me. I feel like, by definition, if the product is officially licensed and branded by Hasbro under Transformers, it is 100% a Transformers, regardless of whether or not the product is actually able to do that.

Now, the other reasons are many. I see this statement on things like the Yolopark Transformers model kits, on Hasbro's R.E.D figures and also on those Threezero Transformers action figures that are basically statues that can be posed. Now, the probably other biggest reason I don't understand why the fandom complains about products like this is because there are plenty of transforming versions of your favorite Transformers characters so why on Earth to people feel the need to complain about the few that don't??? Plus, to make this sort of complaint about something like what Threezero has made boggles my mind! Those things are works of art...that can be posed! And yet those of you still have the nerve to complain that it doesn't transform so it's not a Transformers...you can't have it all.

But, as I said, the main thing is that, for example, if you see a picture or video about say the newest Yolopark model kit of G1 Optimus Prime and your first urge is to comment, very stupidly, that it can't transform, please remember that there are PLENTY of transforming Optimus Prime figures out that that you can go out and buy and then you can SHUT UP AND STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT SOMETHING THAT IS STUPID TO COMPLAIN ABOUT!!!! But yeah, this is why it annoys me so much when I see people say that just because it doesn't transform, it's not a transformers. I really wish the fandom would stop doing this but I know that they won't.

I honestly love products like this. I have some of the R.E.D figures, mostly of Transformers Prime characters. I have the Yolopark Rise of the Beasts Optimus Prime model kit and it's just so amazing. Like, Since I display my Transformers in robot mode, these ones that don't transform work great for me because the robot mode looks great when on display.

Hello! I have recently wanting to give more bots a home, especially a combiner. But the above ground cybertronian distributors (Hasbro and Takara) are really expensive when it comes to teams. Is it safe to acquire cybertronians from more underground adoption centers? There’s this construction team I’m spying from a place called Jinbao? Is it okay if I take him home? Will there be any Health complications? Thank you for the help!

As far as underground adoption goes, Jinbao is a pretty good option. Their bots are sturdy and well articulated.

Aboveground vs underground isn't actually a great determination of if a company cares about bots. Plenty of bots with health issues are on the everyday market, such as action masters and R.E.D. bots neither of which can transform, a vital and instinctual thing to Cybertronians. Thankfully Hasbro and Takara care enough to at least cease using certain materials which led to extreme armor degradation known as gold plastic syndrome when it was found out but one can only give them so much credit.

Best you can do is do your own research before adopting from anyone.

I’m very happy with my birthday present of a Transformers Prime R.E.D. Arcee but I am curious about this structure in her back if that’s a joint or not. It don’t move but it looks like it should. Farming this out to smarter folks

Megatron

R.E.D. Megatron (or Robot Enhanced Design) is a non-transforming, show accurate depiction of everyone favorite Decepticon leader.

Megatron comes with several accessories:

-Hands 5.5 pairs of hands (closed fists, relaxed hand, pointing finger, and open hand holding energon cube)

-Energon flail

Megatron bares a strong resemblance to his G1 Sunbow animation model. It looks great, and in my opinion he looks better than Optimus Prime.

The fusion cannon is attached to his Megatron’s right arm and I don’t believe it can be removed.

I was pretty surprised he could pull off the one-leg balance.

The hands can be swapped out to allow other poses.

I think the R.E.D. Megatron is a fun figure. He’s sturdy, looks good and is generally good.
