lowkey thinking about writing solus as somebody who made herself into a transtector so she actually will take on a variety of frames from across what she finds euphoric, as sort of also a fourth wall commentary on there not being a baseline body for gal transformers and also how she approaches robot aesthetics in a way many humans don't.
her view on alt modes in this case for herself is kind of all four of the reasons presented by earthspark season 1:
-accident but I like it
-disguise
-for protecting others and yourself
-expressing your true self
thank you titan returns truly

NGL: with Prometheus’s obsession with creating an fully organic transformer I can see him using cars with some kind of cybertronian based parasite planted in vehicles to create a whole slew of technorganics that would be more “agreeable” than the two existing ones
May be a good way to introduce Transtectors as a means of curing or at least curing the infection
That would be cool!
Sadly I don’t know enough about the Transtectors to write a good story about it.

Design for go Shūta, minerva, cab, goshooter, minelba, and carb
I LOVE CHILD SOLDIERS!
Their headmater units remade by the power of an artifact called the emberstone, The robots are individual beings but it's hard to tell as The bond forged between the kids and their transtectors allow one to inhabit the body of the other on command,
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
With the differences between the earthlings and the autobots settled, metalhwak entrusts the safety of the kids to the greater resources of the autobots, formally uniting the cyber ninjas with optimus prime's forces as they search for the allspark's location.
In the process discovering it lay somewhere beneath the Philippines. As they moved their operations to begin secretly drilling for it, they continued to be antagonized by the six clan and the decepticons, although the latter began an on again off again aliance with the autobots, becoming more akin to rivals than enemies as they shared the same goal, in the process of their battles they put another life in danger, a third human child to take care of,
The autobots were able to reverse engineer the headmaster units created by professor go to create a third unit to keep cab safe, but frustrating metalhawk rather than stay away from the danger the kids continued to get involved in the fighting. When metalhawk expected the autobots to have the resources to give them a safe place to live.
Eventually he confronted both Ginrais and optimus prime about taking the kid's headmaster units away for their own safety, but Shūta overheard their argument and before they could go through with it he tattled to the other kids and convinced them to run away in the night to find the allspark all by alone to prove they were grown up and could take care of themselves (do keep in mind these kids are no older than 14)
As they approached the dig site it was like the ground itself was parting, like something was calling for humans specifically. Inviting them into the confines of the earth where they saw. A temple, deep beneath the earth, overtaken by six clan ocupation there was a power that flowed through this site and it remade their machines into guardians new living things but uniquely entangled with the children, and would grow an evolve just as they did
Tumblr media
Goshooter is the upgraded loudmouth, primed to be the leader of this sub unit, dubbed the earth force, his voice box is replaced by stadium speakers that let his voice travel from one city to another, and be used as a hyper sonic brainwave scrambler.
Detachable speakers even allow him to do so remotely, his voice is so loud it doesn't even matter if you can't hear him anymore as the vibrations don't just damage your hearing they can cause the entire human body to pop like a bubble at maximum volume. Thankfully that takes a lot of effort on his part so he can't ever be harmful acidentally
and if he ever wants to talk like a normal person he can still talk via Shūta and within his mind, although they have been given a massive responsibility and a duty to their team and each other, their one true personal goal, is sports, Shūta dreamed of being a football player for as long as he could remember, unable to match his father's incredible intellect he found other ways to excel even if Shūta himself doesn't see it that way, as far as he knows he just is the way he is. Conversely shooter dreams of a sporting event involving rocket powered cars within a closed stadium and a giant ball that explodes upon entering the goal.
Tumblr media
Minelba is the upgraded siren, forever worried about the health of the squishy humans, the second she got online she searched out ratchet to learn anything she could about medicine, her desire to aid humans specifically exposed a worrisome blind spot in ratchet's repertoire, which led them to contact ginrai's wife who was a nurse and was able to impart enough knowledge on how to take care of humans that they could be reasonably trusted with a scalpel. (I am referring to the deception of course, they can't hold an actual scalpel with their big plastic fingers)
Both minerva and minelba are less on the side of preventing injury as they are healing from it. unlike the other two members of this little team, Minerva's family is alive, well, and looking for her, this whole time the little girl has been sacrificing so much without truly having a stake in things, just worried about the well being of her friends, and the larger robot is here to finally give her the care she needs
Tumblr media
Carb is the upgraded quiq, a fire fighting boat that allows cab to leave his island off of his own power carb is a clumsy lug who contrasts cab in disposition and skill but protects him from his often rash actions, when cab met the autobots he was running away from home to avoid responsibilities that came with age (just going to school) in favor of living with animals on the jungle, he was free from the shackles of societal expectations ( going to school) but got hungry and had to learn how to survive on his own,
until he stumbled upon the autobot's dig site and that same force that would later call out to them and upgrade their headmaster units called out to him and it's movement alerted the decepticons to their location. Which led to the fight that endangered cab and had the autobots take him under their roof, he's thankful for being fed but still even with his new big brother the kid still acts like he's better off alone with his pets determined to be "king of the world" (without going to school) he feels a special bond towards the giant city underneath his home country

Japanese G1 continuity is absolutely not normal about girls but damned if they don't give us some of the best ones
There was a significant amount of Transformers continuity released between 1987 and around 2007 that was produced in Japanese and is really only known to most English-speaking fans through fansubs, dubs that were only released in Australia, and the like. Shows like Headmasters, Victory, and Zone. Manga like Victory and 15 Go Go Go Teletraan (which was really mostly Kiss Players). Radio shows like Kiss Players.
I'm gonna be super up front. Japanese G1 is not normal about femmes in any way, shape or form. At the same time, it gave us some of the BEST and most underused female characters in the Transformers universe.
Headmasters, which came out right after the US G1 show ended, is particularly egregious. In Headmasters, Arcee has been reduced to Fort Max's administrative assistant, uses ridiculously polite and subservient language, and is also the only medic. And being a medic would be kind of badass if they let her be as badass as Ratchet, you know? But they absolutely do not.
Also, in Headmasters, Carly (now married to Spike) allows her son--a freaking child, not even a teenager--to go on missions when Spike can't and a human is needed, because uh, for some reason it's better for a 12 year old boy to go, not an adult woman?
But most of the good femmes don't come from Headmasters. And some of the best femmes we have are from Japanese G1.
Super-God Masterforce made it up to us by giving gave us Minerva, a human girl who is a Headmaster with a robot body (transtector) making her basically a bad ass mecha pilot, and who actively does fight.
The Victory manga gives us Esmeral, Deathsaurus' incredibly classy wife, and Lyzack, Leozack's twin sister, who is in charge of defending the homefront but really does want to go out and fight. Illumina appears in both the Victory manga and the anime. She's a little human girl who has a crush on Jan Minakaze and is always trying to get people to choose nonviolence.
(Lyzack later appears in an English-language comic - the Wings Universe--wherein she's basically Deathsaurus' servant and Starscream hits on her. I don't like that.)
There are a number of great femmes who were only ever toys. The Cobalt Sentries set gave us Howlback, leader of the Decepticon military police (called the Cobalt Sentries). She is basically Ravage's twin sister but instead of being super stealthy she can turn your attacks right back on you.
(Later she appears in several English language comics and in at least one she is canonically trans. I'm not a fan of her depiction in the SG Recordicons Batman tribute arc, though.)
The Unite Warriors toyline - Takara's response to Combiner Wars, basically - gave us the combiner Megatronia, made up of Megaempress, and her four guards, Lunaclub (sometimes called Luna Clover or Luna Trefle), Flowspade, Moonheart, and Trickdiamond. They are incredibly awesome.
(IDW 2019 used Trickdiamond, but none of the others. Tricky was one of Swindle's contacts.)
Then there's the elephant in the room that everyone pretends isn't there...Kiss Players.
So, okay. There is nothing normal about Kiss Players whatsoever. On the other hand, I'd rather listen to KP than watch RID2015 which is just blatant copaganda from hell.
Kiss Players had an interesting plot involving little bits of Galvatron and Unicron getting into humans and creating the Kiss Players--humans who could give TFs a powerup by kissing them and then merging with their internals somehow. Then there are the Legions, the dick-tongued monsters that everyone who hasn't actually listend to the show or read the manga thinks are Megatron.
The dick-tongued monsters are gross. It is also gross that some of the Kiss Players are barely teenagers and definitely not adults and are constantly ending up in Situations.
But the plot centres around the apparent rise of Convoy, or Optimus, from the dead, and his transformation into a weird groomery dude, which many people don't understand there was an actual reason for, because it's not Optimus, it's someone else riding around in his body.
Melissa Faireborn is like if you chopped Marissa Faireborn's IQ in half, dyed her hair blond and threw out any pants or skirts that covered her knees. She is nothing like Marissa and I treat them as cousins, but Xiaoxiao Li is amazing and her real lover.
Anyhow, this female scientist (Dr Amaou) lost her mind over the loss of her daughter during the events of the 1986 movie et sequelae, and she's got to be stopped from turning Atari and her Autorooper robot pal into a permanent fusion to reincarnate her daughter Shizuku (whom for some reason I always want to call Setsuna instead).
It's a little confusing because most of the really good parts of the plot got jammed into a few episodes near the end of the season, although once you know what it is, it's clear that it's being set up. That artist just likes borderline lolicon way too much.
The second season of KP is very squeaky clean and sends the girls out to collect what they think are Allspark fragments, and they are very annoyed because Ravage, whom they call "black panther man" keeps getting in their way and fucking with them, only to later find out that the bots who gave them this task are Unicronian heralds and Ravage is trying to stop them from helping Unicron do what Unicron does.
Rosanna, everyone's favourite robot pop idol, comes from the second season of KP, although you don't see very much of her or her companions Glit and Sundor.
Incidentally KP sets up the Unicron Trilogy and some of its characters end up in the UT--which did come to the US, and gave us Alexis Thi Dang.
(This post is brought to you because I just wrote an Esmeral thing and someone was musing separately about Megaempress as a parent and I almost ended up writing this post while reblogging them, because I'm a nerd with a hyperfixation).

Hiiii cat formers guy!! I've been feeling a bit down lately and I was hoping to request something cute of Browning and Cancer (not ship) from super-god masterforce since there's basically nothing on here of them haha
If you don't wanna draw a human but still wanna take this request, you could draw Cancer's Transtector, I'd be super happy either way ^^
SPRINTING TO MAKE THIS DRAWING IMMEDIATELY TO MAKE YOU HOPEFULLY FEEL A LITTLE BETTER.
Tumblr media
They are making DEVIOUS plans…
This request made me start rewatching super-god masterforce AUEHAU. It’s so great.
Anyway, I don’t really mind drawing humans tbh. I just LOVE drawing robots. But I love this duo as well like yes king listen to the little gun with anger issues on your shoulder.

"...What was it like, in your universe? After the war ended, that is. Did you return to Cybertron? Was Iacon still intact?"
Max paused, lowering the twisted piece of metal he was examining. Quietly, patiently, Prowl had been watching him make his way through a pile of smelted remains, something he'd seen from afar resting in a scrapheap and needed to look at. Cerebros was performing maintenance on his Fortress transtector, the med bay Prowl loaned him private and secure, and there was a small blockade between the Headmasters' thoughts to mutually limit distractions. Sucking air into his intake vents and slowly cycling it out, Fortress Maximus looked at Prowl, just over eye-level with him where he knelt at the pile.
"I have dedicated millennia to the pursuit of peace," Maximus rumbled, voice gentle yet strained, "and haven't found it."
He held the once molten metal up between them, shiny and rounded where it liquefied, jagged and gnarled where it remained solid. The scar of a word, symbol, or decal once held by whatever the debris had previously been was dark, but subtle, and merely a miniscule fraction of whatever the original message had been. "The war never ended. The Headmasters go where we're needed; some of us vowed never to return to Cybertron until peace was restored."
Turning the piece over, he showed Prowl the tiny glitter of deep blue still clinging to the metal under layers of carbon, a rare unscathed millimeter nestled deep in a sharp curl. "Iacon remains standing. The Dome never fell. I can show you."

The Prime of His Youth: Book VI: Spark of Animus: Ch02: Drizzle
Embers: 4
"He's sitting down, again." Impactor said, above the Skyfall.
"It's a Human thing." Japheth said with a smile.
"And so close together."
"Also a Human thing." Japheth continued.
"An ESSENTIAL Human thing." Arcee corrected.
"I'm guessing you two didn't do the reading." Japheth stated.
"And why do you say that?" Sandstorm asked.
"Because Moonracer didn't make you." Japheth replied. He saw Moonracer glare at him from the background, and he just smiled back at her, before looking to the new Wreckers. "Do you know why the Skyfall is so shimmery?"
"You're one of those namby-pamby romantics?" Sandstorm asked.
"Good guess, but no." Japheth said, and Arcee started snickering, "It's called nacre, and it's from Terra. Here, it protects the Skyfall from acid rain." Both of the new Wreckers stared at him, trying to hide their fear. "And neither of you are Seaspray."
"Thank you." Seaspray said from the background.
"And what does that mean?" Impactor asked.
"Bulk?" Japheth asked, and Bulkhead lumbered up.
"The Rust doesn't stick to him." Bulkhead uttered.
"You go out in the rain, and you will rust."
"And what?" Impactor asked. "You going to punish us?"
"Hm?" Japheth asked, "Oh, no. Before I become Cybertronian, I learned that's not the way to deal with Wreckers."
"Then what - are you - going to do?" Sandstorm asked.
"Oh?" Japheth asked them, "Laugh at you."
"And?" Bulkhead asked.
"And I'll be disappointed."
"And?" Bulkhead repeated.
"And Moonracer will be allowed to do anything she wants to make sure you heal." Japheth uttered, and Moonracer smiled in the background.
* * *
The Skyfall fell descended into the rift valley and slowed before landing just outside of Maximus. The hangar opened up, and out walked Argyle and Quillion Headmastered in their Transtectors. The main ramp descended, and Japheth sauntered down.
"Real impressive." Sandstorm said dismissively as he walked down after.
Japheth stopped at the bottom, and turned to look up at them. "Again, you didn't do the reading."
"Uh-huh?" Impactor asked dismissively.
Japheth looked to the top, where Miko was waiting, as patiently as she could, "Miko?"
She blinked before focusing on him, "Uh, what?" she asked.
"Why am I going so slow?" He aske.d
She looked distant for a moment before her eyes focused again, "Because they are afraid?"
"Of what?" Japheth asked.
"What kind of question is that?" Miko asked, "Everything on this planet is trying to kill us. Well, except the Predacon."
Japheth looked at Sandstorm before looking passed him at Impactor, "The animals on this planet eat Cybertronians."
"Like slag?" Impactor asked, "Why - by the Fallen, would they do that?"
"The Blood of Unicron seeped into the water supply. The only cure for Dark Energon is Energon." Japheth said, and let it sink in. "In addition to the acid rain." He then turned back down the ramp, and then at the bottom turned towards the hangar. The Wreckers all filed out and spread out. Arcee, followed by Sirenia, Arcelia, and Roxana were the last ones down.
* * *
Japheth stopped just before the doors from the hangar to the city proper, "So everyone knows, every - single - step you take in here has to look out for anything underfoot." He paused for a moment, "If you can't or don't want to, you are staying here, or outside."
"With the acid rain." Sandstorm uttered.
"You expect us to just STAND here." Impactor aggresively asked him.
"I told you exactly what I would do if you hurt yourself." Japheth replied, and shrugged.
Sandstorm then looked at Miko, "Hey, whirly-bird?"
"What, me?" Miko asked.
"Want to go for a flight?" Sandstorm asked her.
Miko shrugged, "Sure."
"Who wants to join me?" Impactor shouted.
"No offence." Wheeljack said.
"Lies." Seaspray said with a wide smile.
"Okay, offence." Wheeljack added. "You can be - intense. If we ride with you, we'll be fighting the local monsters."
"You make that sound like a bad thing." Impactor loudly replied, as Phantom Rider stepped up. "Finally, someone with some real ballbearings."
"Ehn?" Phantom Rider dismissed.
The spiders walked up as to Japheth's Femmes as they transformed and Dollformed.
"What - the scrap?" Impactor asked them. The spiders just shrugged and turned to follow Japheth.
Japheth turned to look at Moonracer. "I want to, you know?.." Moonracer asked.
"I know." Japheth said with a smile. He then looked among the others, "At least one of the Wreckers has to come." He looked at Bulkhead.
"It was tough enough avoiding 3 Humans. Nevermind a whole city of Micromasters."
"You... live on the Orion?" Arcee asked.
"Yeah, but there are gantries, so the Humans are closer to eye level."
Arcee slowly nodded her head.
Japheth looked at Wheeljack.
"Uh-huh?" Wheeljack asked, "That's a great idea." he sarcastically added, "If I end up picking a fight with the Micromasters, it might end badly."
"For you, or them?" Arcee sardonically added.
"Have some faith in me, would you?" Wheeljack asked her.
"Gulliver's Travels." Japheth said with a smile, and everyone gave him a confused look. "Right, none of you are from Terra."
Sirenia and Arcelia looked at him with glee. He gave them a wide smile. He then turned to Seaspray.
"Sure?" Seaspray asked.
* * *
Japheth walked into the Command Centre. Seaspray was right behind Him. Behind Seaspray was the gaggle of Femmes.
"Ruck." Japheth said with a smile.
"My Prime." Rusk deferrentially replied. He looked up at him with eagerness and worry.
"My memory is back." He said with a smile. "And there are more Primes on Cybertron."
Ruck gave him a confused look. "The documents said that - there was only - well, you." Ruck replied.
"Optimus gave us back Cybertron." Japheth said, "I think my job is reuniting us."
"And for the first time since we've entered this system, we've had hope." Ruck uttered.
"How is Master?" Japheth asked.
"We have scientists, engineers, and vagabonds from all reaches of Cybertronian space." Ruck replied.
"And how are you dealing with it?" Japheth asked.
"To be frank, we are not." Ruck replied, "For the first time, we can do more than just survive. We honestly don't know what to do."
"I don't know?" Arcee asked, "Build another city?"
"Build - a city?" Ruck asked, as if the thought had never occured to him. As if he has just received some great revelation. "With the Mother of Pearl, we could actually build, whatever kind of city we wanted." He gave Arcee and incredibly thankful look, one that caused her to be uncomfortable. She looked about, and disappeared behind Japheth.
Japheth pointed at Seaspray, "This is Seaspray, with the Wreckers. I wanted them to meet War Machine."
"He was touched by The Prime." Ruck said solemnly. "We expected this day to come." He then bowed, "I will summon him at once. Where would you like to meet?"
Japheth thought for a second, and felt something troubling in his Spark. He then looked Ruck back in the eyes, "In the underground command centre."
Japheth then quickly looked back to Arcelia. "I will make sure they are informed." she firmly replied.
"Even?" Japheth asked.
"Even those errant." Arcelia replied.
"And get Victoria down here." Japheth said, and then paused, "Scratch that, get the Rust Maidens down here."
"What's the difference?" Seaspray asked.
"Only a drop from orbit." Arcee uttered.
* * *
Phantom Rider's chains grabbed around the great beast as Impactor punched him from the other side.
* * *
Sandstorm stood with Miko, sheltered under a colossal mushroom.
"I honestly don't now what I was expecting." Sandstorm uttered.
"The creatures tend to hide when it's raining." Miko said with a shrug.
* * *
Japheth lead his small convoy down the route to the lower command centre.
"So, this is it?" Charon asked. "This is where you became a pet on a leash."
"The overworld was the first time I was allowed true freedom." Royce replied.
"Where the slag would you go?" Charon asked.
"It was being off the leash that Seaspray shot me." Royce replied.
"To be fair, you are you." Seaspray replied.
"My life flashed before my eyes." Royce continued, "And to be fair to Seaspray, he was right. The way I had lived my life, the only intelligent thing to do when you see me is try to kill me."
"So what? You realized you don't need Him?" Charon asked.
"He had me healed." Royce replied, "When I was recovering, I had plenty of time to think about my life."
"AND?!" Charon asked.
"And it was better to have a protector." Royce stated, "If I had to sacrifice ever other part of my life for it, I would." She paused for a moment, "Down here is where I saved Arcee."
Arcee Tsked.
"And they gave me back my weapons." Royce stated.
"Would you do it again?" Charon asked.
"If I had not been caught?" Airachnid asked, "I never would have known what it was like to have someone that actually cares about me. What about you?" she asked, and Charon could not reply.
"I'll cuddle you when we get to the bottom." Japheth stated.

Character breakdown; Overlord
Character Breakdown:
How I feel about this character: I love his mocking attitude in IDW, but I also love how serious and commanding he is in Super God Masterforce. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it, but I'd start with the Headmasters cartoon since it came first.
All the people I ship romantically with this character: Himself. I'm a fan of the Masterforce iteration where he's a duocon made up of a husband and wife team. He gives me Garnet vibes but as an evil human combiner duo trying to help an evil orb take over the planet. I even made designs for their individual transtectors in mech form once, which I'll probably redo at some point on my art blog. If that's something you're interested in, just give me a holler.
My non-romantic OTP for this character: I don't think he has many friends since he's an asshole and all his close connections were cut off for a mirad of reasons, but in my AU he was friends with Double Punch while they were in the gladiatorial arena in Kaon together. They were both top champions for a long while.
My unpopular opinion about this character: He should be two people more often. I think it adds an interesting element to his character, and I would be interested in seeing him be revealed to be a combiner duo later on after being introduced to his character. It would explain a lot of things about him, like why he was so hard to beat, and why he's such a mysterious powerhouse to others.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I wanted to see more of his gladiator days. It's supposedly where he got his hatred for failure in IDW1, because Megatron kicked his ass and he's had a fear of losing ever since. I think seeing what kind of a person he was before Megatron would give a better sense of how he changed over time. We know he was forged on Luna 2, but other than that, what was his function? What job did he have? How did he end up in the arena? I have a whole backstory written for him if anyone's interested.

1, 4, 7, 8, 13 for the ask game⁉️⁉️⁉️
What first drew you into Transformers? Has this draw remained the same over time or has it changed?
My sister originally got into it back in the day, and I ended up fulfilling my usual role of watching whatever her interests were so she had someone to talk to. Then I actually got my own interest in it, which helped me not have to deal with my absolute trainwreck of a personal life at the time.
I fell away from it for a few years for a lot of reasons, but i started getting back into it around the start of this year. Now I think I just like that it's something familiar. (maybe my life is a trainwreck again, who can say)
4. What concepts in Transformers do you think should be explored/delved into more?
Any of the weird mind or body stuff they can do. I just finished rewatching Headmasters and the whole transtectors concept with them being the heads of the larger bodies and switching around is fun. Really anything where they get weird with it, you can push a robot so much further than a human and get some fresh new angles.
7. Least favorite Transformers story/plot?
I'm still getting back into them and my feelings have changed on a few things so I'm reapproaching it all with an open mind, but so far I usually find myself bored by anything with Unicron. Like oh great, the world is ending AGAIN. [deep sigh] here we go. I just dont like big world-ending threats i love personal drama.
8. A Transformers story/plot that's a guilty pleasure for you?
My friends would probably say Auto Bop because I keep trying to convince them to watch it with me whenever I've been drinking.
However, it has to go to the Hunter and Sunstreaker Headmasters arc. I love body horror, I love experimentation, I giggle and kick my feet at how absolutely miserable it is for the both of them. I love when characters are having almost as bad of a time as me. There's that, Autobot Spike in G1 S2, Only Human in G1 S3.
Really any time there's something along those lines going on, I am grinning ear to ear.
13. Cutest moment(s)?
Any of the G1 stuff where the bots are honestly just hanging out doing whatever. I mean come on, they built a bot-sized basketball court and Optimus Prime learned how to dribble and dunk. He needs to stop leading the Autobots the Lakers need him.
I guess I just think it's cute to see them hanging out and having fun and Doing Stuff that isn't just like, bullshit war stuff.

Transformers Trinity Autobot Teams post crash Character Bios.
Warning: Minor Spoilers.
Team Prime
Tumblr media
Optimus Prime: scanned local red truck (Prime)
Bio: G1 Optimus Prime. Principled, Selefles and Loyal to the Core. During his studies under Alpha Trion, he chose to follow the philosophy of ‘Freedom is the Right of all Sentient Beings.’ even if that means the freedom to make a wrong choice. He adopted this philosophy from the oldest scriptures of Primus that still remained after it and Alpha Trion’s teachings resonated with him like nothing else had. It was because of this that he found a close friendship with Megatronus (megatron) back towards the end of the Age of Rust. But once it became apparent that Megatronus valued equality more than freedom, their friendship first began to fracture, then broke when Orion stopped him destroying the Iacon Central Library and Hall of Records. Once elevated to Prime during the war, in one of the last Cybertron Council sessions, and upon receiving the Matrix, he added to his personal philosophy that Greater Goods are only Great in as much as they are supported by the ‘Lesser’ goods, and that any lesser Good sacrificed in the name of a Greater good, tarnishes the greater good. That is how he leads the Autobots. They are not his to control. They are his responsibility. All of them.
Hard Head: keeps original mode after capture (Gunnery Seargent)
Bio: From Planet Master, but moved to Cybertron to join the Elite Guard with 3 other headmasters just as the war broke out. During training, he found he had an aptitude for heavy weapons and artilery support, thus also modifying his Transtector to reflect his chosen role. While never serving in the front lines, he was never far from the most dangerous battles, often serving under the AutoTrooper himself. Towards the end of the war, he found himself acting Chief for the last fully equipped artillery battalion until it was bombed in a blitz. Since then he served in defense of Iacon’s last stronhold under Prime until he was chosen to serve on the Ark on their near suicide mission.
He’s still relatively young, but the war’s turned him old before his time. Being but a headmaster with Transtector does lead to some insecurity and sensitivity to his actual size, though he only ever reverts to pilot his vehicle mode. While he once had ambitions of Officer Candidacy, his time in the war taught him that he could do more and better as an NCO. Namely an experience where he had to take the role of ‘Acting Leutenant’ during the third battle of Tyrest. While his actions and decisions were praised by Optimus himself, he couldn’t agree. Since, he’s served as best he can as a soldier, but knows that a full and proper battlefield commission is on the way after the next catastrophe. He secretly hopes he can join the Wreckers before that happens.
Minerva: scanned EMT car near her crash site (Lieutenant, Medical Corps)
Bio: Was a first year medical student when the war broke out fully. Knowing her calling to be a doctor and healer, she tried to drop out immediately and join the Elite Guard Medical Corps, but at the time she was denied due to her status as a medical student. She spent the beginning years of the war continuing her studies as the University of Ankmor until it falls to a Decepticon Blitz, at which time she’s accepted into Ratchet’s field medic training program at Iacon due to her special circumstances. While brave in spirit, the constant spectre of the war during her studies weighed heavy on her, and the Blitz that drove her from her education and family nearly broke her. This, along with her natural perfectionist nature, made her field medic training more difficult than others despite her innate talent. During the latter years of the war, Ratchet made her his official assistant and triage specialist which she excelled at and eventually steeled herself to the realities of frontline meical service, though she did still secretly cry in her sleep for all the sparks she couldn’t save one way or another. When ratchet was selected as Optimus’ medical officer for this final mission, she came along as chief nurse without question.
Excellion: Scanned Dodge sports car in Johnny Law’s driveway (ARC Trooper)
Bio: One of the last graduates from the Elite Guard Basic training before the Cybertronian Couincil fell. Since then, he’s served dutifully in defense of Iacon, but always harbored a certian hunger for glory and wander-lust for front line scouting and reconnaissance duty, something he had joined the Elite guard to do along Cybertron’s highways and known paths, but the nature of the war made the Elite guard almost purely defensive. Once the Elite guard were rolled into the standard military, he’s been very eager to prove himself, much to the annoyance of Ultra Magnus. It was this eagerness that made Optimus finally consider him for this mission, as suicidal as the description was.
Bulkhead: scanned military truck and joined convoy returning to Grissom (Maximus) (where he shortly met up with Hardhead again)
Bio: Optmus wanted at least a few wreckers there to help command his ground forces. Bulkhead was one of the ones whose lot came up when cast. All would’ve gone, but that would’ve left none for Cybertron. One of the more experienced Wreckers, a member even before Orion became Optimus, but as a reservist. Dayjob of a Builder in the more rural parts of Cybertron. While seemingly an easy going bot during good times, and always up for a game of Scrap-Lob or Plasma Tag, his principles are second only to Optimus and he knows who and what he’s about and is more than willing to die for his fellow soldiers. Impactor always said he was a True Soldier who moon-lit as a builder. Naturally, he went active again even before the war itself broke out and served with his brothers with Honor and Destinction, Gaining the rank of Maximus shortly before his lot fell in with the Ark Crew.

Team Ratchet
Tumblr media
Ratchet: scanned light ambulance  (Commander, Medical Corps) More or less Prime Ratchet, but in a close but somewhat unsaid relationship with Drift. Before the war, he was a career Guard doctor serving at the Quintus Prime Guard Medical Complex in Iacon, but frequently getting called away to attend to special cases due to skill and knowledge. Thus when the Decepticon Uprising turned into all out war, he was Optimus' first choice to serve with his unit and to serve on the Ark.
Drift: Scanned signature sports car from state highway (Ensign/acting battle preist)  Formerly Decepticon Inquisitor Deadlock before defecting, bringing great shame on his master and superior Bludgeon (and ‘taking’ his sword from him). When he rejoined the Autobot cause, he started as just a soldier but was field commissioned to Ensign so he could serve as an acting Battle Preist (chaplian) since the Decepticons had essentially erradicated all of them early in the war.
Wheeljack: Lancia Rally car Scanned from racecar driver’s backyard (Warrant Officer 1). Mostly G1 Wheeljack. Before the war, he worked as a resident technician and equipment repair man in Iacon's outlying districts, Once the war broke out, he enlisted rather than evacuate with the lion's share of cybertronians because he knew he could help. Optimus' resistance cell and through accelerated training. Once on the front line, his skill quickly and technical knowledge quickly advanced him to Warrant Officer, and a natural pick when he volunteered for the Ark mission.
Sunstreaker: Scanned Project Car Lambo (ARC Trooper). Twin brother of Sideswipe. Joined with him when the draft started, volunteering rather than waiting to be selected. An overall competent solder who is rather proud of his image and physique.
Rewind: Retains Tank and Memory stick modes. Technically a non-combatant information/archive bot. Was on Ark by special request of Chrome Dome and does his best to contribute, but feels very out of place in a military unit.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Team Ironhide
Tumblr media
Ironhide: Ford F350 scanned at truckstop (Warrant Officer 4) Weapons and amunition specialis. Elected to make Warrant Officer rather than maximus to avoid the leadership BS present in even the Autobot military, and served with Orion Pax/Optimus Prime at the beginning of the war. Knowledge and practical understanding of weapons systems second to none in either the Autobot or Decepticon militaries. Impactor even once asked him ‘why the hell aren’t you a wrecker’. He’s good at what he does and doesn’t give a frag about anyone else’s opinion. Since early in the war, he has been trying to train Hound as his second/successor.
Chromedome: Self constructed vehicle mode (Lt Commander) Arrived on Cybertron with Hardhead and two others, decided to join the Academy rather than the enlisted rates along with Brainstorm. Unlike Brainstorm, he didnt have a problem with being a headmaster himself, but over time at the academy he would try to draw less and less attention to it.
Hound: Jeep Wrangler scanned at same truck stop (ARC Operator) Generally considered Ironhide’s protije back on cybertron and now on earth too. However, his interests encompass more than just weaponry but overall combat tactics and survival. Once actually impressed Ironhide by getting them and their squad back to an autobot base after their hopper went down in a heavy jamming zone.
Sideswipe: Scanned Lambo at same truckstop (ARC Trooper) Twin brother of Sunstreaker. Always felt he could never compete with Sunstreaker, so focuses more on being technically skilled and adaptable rather than the perfect image of a soldier. Decent at thinking on his feet, but often over-eager and often gets in over his head.
Tailgate: Scanned Pontiac Tans-am, but is undersized. (Cadet=>Ensign) Was in his second semester of the Elite Guard Academy intending to be a logistics officer when the campus came under surprise attack by the decepticons. Earned field promotion to Ensign after making sure the defenders had enough ammunition to cover the retreat of the rest of the student body. (by his own admission more luck since he had simply known where the unruly cadets were hiding supplies, and was on good terms with the school MA).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Team Bumblebee
Tumblr media
Note: Override standing in for Mirage.
Bumblebee: MIni Cooper (Lieutenant): G1 and WFC Bumblebee, but things have gotten serious. Graduate of Iacon Central Univeristy Guard ROTC when the war broke out, thus immediatly going active and under the command of Optimus Prime. Being the mint of a well connected but humble family, he originally joined the Gurard ROTC for better prospects after college level education (namely wanting to see more of Cybertron and it's colonies than civilian life would have allowed).
MIrage: Czinger 21C supercar (Seargent): Equipped with experimental stealth technology, the most experienced bot left and effective leader.  Volunteered for Guard Light Infantry and advanced quickly to Seargent on skill. Before the war, his unit was selcted to help test and evaluate advanced equipment for Guard Special Opperations, with the promise that his unit would be advanced to Special Operations status upon the conclusions of the trials. However, more than half his unit were clandestine decepticons, and Mirage himself barely got away and to Optimus' territory when the uprising broke out. He still uses and maintains the special active stealth equipment he had been testing when the war broke out.
Huffer: Semi-Shunter (ARC Trooper) Logistics and supply bot who is now in way over his head. Signed on because he knew support would be needed, but was secretly hoping never to see combat, and because the rest of his cell did too. (Brawn, Gears, Hauler, Warpath, and Seaspray). Stared as a low level teamster and courier between the central space port and Decagon regions of Iacon. Huffer and his friends were fortunate enough to not be anywhere near the fighting when the uprising broke out, however, when the draft started, he and his friends volunteers for Optimus' Autobot group because they knew it was the right thing to do. (namely allowing as many as wanted to to escape the decepticon regime.)
Wasp: Died in Crash (Trooper) (Recovered and rebuilt by decepticons) Knew Bumblebee from back in primary education, though only cause Wasp was Bee’s bully back then. As adult bots they got on well enough though there would always be some tension between them, however until the crash, he and Bumblebee had thoroughly earned eacother’s trust.
Rampage (armada wheeljack): Presumed Dead (Trooper) (Recovered by decepticons and rebuilt into Predacon Rampage): a somewhat bitter but green solder when the war turned into insurgncy action. Never truly trusted any of his bots but could work well enough with anyone due to necessity. Joined Bumblebee’s group after his last group got scattered and decimated by a decepticon K-class assault. After the crash landing on earth, he was presumed dead due to how damaged his pod seemed by both Mirage and the seekers alike, only for him to wake up hours later and be captured, believing he was abandoned by those who crashed with him. (Later reformatted into the Predacon Rampage by The Agency)

Inhumans x Heart of Steel: Not to infodump about Transformers, but Midoriya is 100% a Headmaster (I swear to Nedzu that's their real name.) meaning he can still pass off as human, only to summon his transtector and link up and also transform into the Hercules.
Interesting

So i just recently watched Super God Masterforce and. Man that show changed me. Its in my top transfomers show. It truly captured both the true meaning of the Indomitable Human Spirit and the power of Found Family. Also Metalhawk is so pretty
HELLO AHHH SORRY I FORGOT TO RESPOND BUT OMGGG 🥹✨‼️💕💗💗🌟 That makes me so happy to hear........YES!!!!!!
[some spoilers so im putting the rest of this ramble under the cut here 😅]
The indomitable human spirit is a great way to put it--like in how it was one of the things that shifted Sixknight to really understand where he stood on things; seeing Ginrai leave his robot form after their first fight, to show it was just him (and the kids) beneath it all--humans, not giant robots, not "trained warriors" with something to prove....just regular humans who only wanted to protect their fellow humans, who even without the transtectors and upgrades, had their determination, will, individual personal values, and heart......and from that is where they drew their strength.
The bonds of family and human connection!! the weight those bonds hold, how pretty much everyone ends up realizing the real enemy all along was this being of blind hate and destruction....powerful, but who put their loved ones at risk.....even Hydra and Buster, who ultimately sold their humanity for a taste of that power and never did abandon Devil Z's cause--they still stuck together through it all, showing the power of that sibling bond too, oddly enough. In victory, defeat, desire to be stronger--it was the two of them, always.
And...Giga and Mega....😭❤️‍🩹
This series just....has so much to consider and think about.....i love the characters and really only wish we got even more about each of them and their mannerisms & dynamics with one another....it was just a really interesting series, rather layered and fun....I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it :3 🥰
And so true....Metalhawk is SO 🫣🌟✨💕🥺
...my Exhausted™ but determined, brave and kind blorbo frfr......🥹😭‼️💗 His pretty eyes....
Anyways that's enough rambling outta me I think, hopefully it made some sense ahhh 😭
have a good day!! Thanks for stopping by and telling me that! :]

AU Mon: Masterforce in TFP
I've got a bunch of tf ideas in my head, so I'm gonna start doing AU posts on Monday to share them with y'all. This week's is a TFP/TF Masterforce crossover, cause I recently started watching the latter show.
The Premise
Metalhawk and his crew (Lancer, Diver and Phoenix) were part of the crew of Autobots who were seeding Earth with energon, when they came across the crew of the Harbinger doing the same for the Decepticons, led by Bludgeon and backed by the Predacon clones Shockwave had created. The Harbinger was shot down, and the two sides joined in battle, with all cybertronians lost except Bludgeon and Metalhawk's crew. The Autobots then used the experimental/mystical power of the Master-braces to access the Masterforce and become Pretenders, taking human form and hunting down the Predacons (and inspiring many myths and legends in the process). In the end, it came down to Metalhawk and Bludgeon, who battled and severely injured each other, but retreated before either could strike a killing blow. They both fell into stasis, with a collection of Master-braces at both their sides.
Fast-forward several thousand years to Season 1 of TFP. The Autobots are scouting an area for energon, and have brought Jack, Miko and Raf along cause it's a low risk mission. The kids explore on their own and stumble upon Metalhawk's resting place and activate the Master-braces, turning themselves into junior headmasters and reviving Metalhawk with the energy surge. Metalhawk explains his story and joins the team, helping teach the kids how to use the Masterforce safely and wisely.
Meanwhile, not too far away, MECH is also scouting for cybertronian tech or biology, and stumble upon Bludgeon's resting place. Silas activates his own Master-brace, and Bludgeon decides to ally himself with the group, though his motivations to do so are unclear.
My Notes of the AU
AU starts between Operation: Breakdown and Rock Bottom, probably specifically between Operation: Breakdown and Crisscross, which in turn makes the latter episode more interesting with Jack and Silas having headmaster capabilities.
Jack's Headmaster form is Bluefire and his transtector is a blue truck with red flames. Miko's is Songblade, her transtector a pink and black sports car. Raf's is Radar, his transtector being an orange compact car.
Silas might also recruit two more Headmasters for his side, who could be two of the Destron Headmaster Juniors from Masterforce (Wilder, Cancer and Bullhorn), OR Sierra and Vince, for some interesting conflict among the kids OR two OC MECH soldiers.
Lancer, Diver and Phoenix are either dead and gone (which could be some nice angst for Metalhawk) OR they are all also in stasis, but their resting places have been lost to time, until someone stumbles across them during energon scouting, mining, or relic hunting.
That's what I've got for you guys this week. See you later!

Dear VP,
If Noble in Beast Machines was completely organic, how was his body able to hold a spark, which granted him Megatron's memories as well as the ability to speak? Would that not suggest that it was possible that Noble had some mechanical parts?
Dear Spark Speculator,
It is perfectly possible for a spark to exist within an organic body, either temporarily (such as when Starscream possessed Atari), on a long term basis (as was Cryak's unfortunate fate), or intentionally (for example, Scorponok's experiments culminating in the Firstborn).
Likewise, the organic equivalent of a spark, which I believe is known as a "soul", can exist within a mechanical entity. This is how life can be granted to Godmaster transtectors. It could also be seen when Shizuku Amaō's soul became imprinted onto Galvatron's technological cells.
