I wonder where the "fat, hyper charismatic, well liked pirate" trope came from. Bc while they're not usually main characters, I with my Extremely limited pop culture knowledge can think of two in specific and a few more in vague terms.

Notably they are both from early 2000s fantasy flicks that involve flying boats tho so maybe they're endemic to an earlier entry in that genre.

there needs to beore of those. Both weird experimental fantasy flicks and fat pirates everyone loves.

It is muscle memory that makes Ezra slip his knife back into its sheath, because he has no thoughts for anything or anyone besides the girl across the room. She lies on her back on the interrogation table, strapped down, pale, eyes closed, blood dried and crusted in trickles down her face from a dozen separate cuts.

Ezra is beside her in an instant, ripping off the restraints that bind her arms and legs down. She doesn’t even notice.

“Sabine?”

She responds with a weak whimper. It’s a sound that should come from a wounded animal, not the fearless Jedi he knows.

He takes a risk, and runs his fingers across her cheek, brushing the sweat-damp hair from her face.

Now she gasps, lurching away from his touch with a choked, “no, no, please, please no—”

“Sabine. Sabine! I’m not going to hurt you—it’s me! It’s Ezra!”

Her struggling stops and her tear-damp eyelashes flutter; she looks without seeing.

“Ezra,” she whispers, trying the name out slowly. “Ez-ra. Ezzsraaah…?”

And then, oh, praise the stars—a light in her eyes.

“Ezra.”

“Yeah. Ezra.”

She raises a hand, shakily, searching blindly until her fingers brush the cold beskar of his helmet. They trace across it, following the shape, and even with the solid layer between them, he can almost feel her touch on his skin.

Her hand drops down and she stares at him for a long, heart-stopping second. Then she smiles hazily.

“You have wonderful eyes.”

Ezra can’t help his snort of laughter. He took the Creed years before they met. She doesn’t even know what his eyes look like.

“Did they drug you, or are you just having one of your weird Force moments?” he asks as he slides his arms under her, lifting her as gently as he can.

She rests her head on his chestplate and taps the beskar. “You’re shiny.”

Both, probably, he decides.

In that Scroop x Reader fic that I'm planning scenes for, I was thinking that Scroop could end up needing cyborg parts after free-floating in the Etherium for too long. The general idea is that he either lost a limb or he needed one amputated.

That's all fine and dandy but now I'm left with a choice and I hate making choices. I'm thinking of having Scroop either lose an arm and needed to relearn how to properly use it after having it replaced. He'd need to teach himself how to control it in a way it matches the skill of his real hand.

Or, Scroop could lose one or two legs and would need to work out not only the balance of originally missing them but later on how to walk using them. Not only would he be heavier, which for someone that climbs a lot would be inconvenient, but he'd also have to learn how to use them in conjunction with his other limbs.

Both could work and I could very much have him lose both. That would completely throw off his coordination but it would mean losing some scenes but adding others.

And yes, the only decision I really made is the fact I want him as a cyborg in this. You know, since all he's gonna see in himself would be Silver and that opens up self-growth for him.

To start off, One Piece is a sea-faring adventure, and Treasure Planet is a space-sea-faring adventure. One Piece already has some steampunk vibes--though only slight, so putting the world of One Piece into the world of Treasure Planet wouldn't be too weird since a lot of the same mechanics/weapons/ships/things would stay the same or modified a tiny bit. Like, the wavers and Ace's flame-powered boat are almost exactly like Jim's solar/wind surfer.

Sailing ships in SPACE like how cool would it be to see Merry or Sunny just gliding along galaxies and nebulae? Laboon would totally be cool as a space whale (I kind of imagine the whales in that Fantasia 2000 bit called the Pines of Rome).

It wouldn't be a stretch for each arc or island to be it's own planet due to how different a lot of them are (like Drum v Alabasta) and space has a variety of planets that range from inhabitable to possibly habitable (and within science fiction/fantasy that range is much larger and of course includes totally habitable). It would also make total sense for the One Piece, then, to be a planet sized treasure, or at least hidden on a planet.

There's that one major city/port moon looking thing where Jim goes, that actually gives Alabasta, but bigger Sabaody vibes.

Blackbeard before he's really Blackbeard (when he says what he does about dreams in the Jaya/Skypeia arc) reminds me a lot of Silver. Someone who doesn't seem like a bad guy and actually teaches the kid something. But, in the end, he's a bad guy and you hate to see it.

Just Strawhats in Space! All the same idiosyncrasies, just IN SPACE. I mean, even more places and ways for Zoro to get lost, more for Nami to map out, Luffy would be king of even more. All Blue would literally be a galaxy like Triangulum, NGC 253, or NGC 4736.

Finally, although it draws in another movie (Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas- this scene especially-the very beginning of the movie), since Luffy (and sort of Zoro) is a god, could it not be said that the cosmos is their playground?

I'm sure there could be more taken from this, or thought about because I'm not sure how Devil Fruits fit into this world yet, but it's still fun to think about.

TL;DR I have always just loved the visuals in Treasure Planet and the magic of that world--and bringing the people and the magic of the One Piece world to a Treasure Planet world, would be stunning and amazing.
