Overlawn - Some Trivia and Brief Location Information
Disclaimer: Overlawn does not belong to the original universe of Undertale or Plants vs. Zombies. Please do not regard its designs as the canon of the originals.
In Overlawn, zombies are a species that existed long ago and has long been extinct. the virus breaking out in 203X is able to mutate humans into creature similar to this species. this virus attacks their brain directly, making them almost lose the human thinking, infecting others through the desire for the brain. Certainly, a small number of people, after becoming zombies, still keep a certain level of mind and sobriety. It varies from person to person. Plants refers to a new type of creature cultivated by Crazy Dave, different from ordinary plants in nature, having self-consciousness like humans.
In Overlawn, property is a living thing's outstanding features, which do not easily change. Color of soul is the concretization of property, which is the color corresponding to the property itself. During a battle, a character will display the color corresponding to their property, regardless of whether they have a soul or not.
Tree of Wisdom
The source of the barrier, rising abruptly out of the ground after the war, creating a vast unidirectional barrier field.
It's said that as long as one can climb to the top of the tree, they can be transported to escape the barrier, but the cost is sacrifice a certain amount of the soul energy, which exceeds the soul energy storage of most creatures.
Taking a different path, enough soul energy can directly destroy the tree, but who can assure that after absorbing so much souls, the body will not collapse due to inability to withstand such powerful energy before destroying the tree?
Unsodded City (Ruins Replacement)
Locating in the original residence of the plants prewar. Its vegetation was severly damaged due to the war. Plants rebuilt a city on ruins.
Outside it there's a doubled city wall surrounding. Zombies after entering the city gate will walk between the two walls and be nearly impossible to notice the entrance to the residential areas.
In the early years, plants, due to the cost of the war, arranged puzzles everywhere between the city walls to defend zombies.
the top of the city wall consists of glass plates, which make it able to look up at the night sky.
Grassy Valley(Snowdin Replacement)
Not influenced by the war, still lush with green grass. During the king led plants to explore areas outside the Unsodded City, many plants relocated here.
Watery Grave & Mistery Mistory(Waterfall Replacement)
Once planned to be developed as an area telling history of plants culture. Due to some policy changes, a military stronghold was ultimately established there, but those which had been developed to an extent were preserved.
Roofool(Hotland Replacement)
A bustling metropoli. Entertainment center. Full monty.
Tree of Wisdom Jr(CORE Replacement)
Fertilizer developed by the lab led the growth of a new tree from the lateral roots of Tree ofWisdom, which solved the energy crisis of plants via its continuous release of energy.
The built-in defense system is the last line of defense to prevent zombies from approaching.
Endless.
Zen Garden(New Home Replacement)
A peaceful area abandoned for the growth of Tree of Wisdom Jr. The king and a unfamiliar caretaker is the only ones that stays and lives here.

Account Mod is an Adult
This is a DnDads (Dungeons and Daddies) ask/rp blog of an OC known as Kelsey. Kelsey is a time witch who is most notable for their efforts to prevent damage to the "design" of time. The account is managed by Kelsey at five different ages and, as all time travelers do in order to prevent confusion, each has a nickname. Posts are tagged according to the "version" posting.
"Little Kelsey" / "Lil K" • 11 years old • #lil time witch #lil k #time witch lil k
"Junior Kelsey" / "Junior" • 14 years old • #jr time witch #junior kels #time witch junior kels

Sen: Committing arson with @methbay-best-fighter and @too-cool-4-meth-bay .
Psi: Having tea with @queen-of-the-whispering-trees .

Boundaries
In-Character DMs: Ask Me! I would prefer an OOC greeting first to establish what's going on, as I am a silly goose.
Out-of-Character DMs: Yes! Highly encouraged! You are also welcome to DM me on Discord or tag me in the group server.
Anon Asks: Yes! Please feel free to ask anything. You're welcome to request that a specific Kelsey version answers, otherwise it will be left to the hands of fate. (My hands.)
Shipping: Ask Me! DM me to plan beforehand. I will only ship characters of appropriate ages, which means that if a character is shipped with one version of Kels, they are not automatically shipped with the other versions.
Tagging: I tag for common triggers and announce trigger warnings at the beginning of any related posts. This character uses medical syringes with needles, and posts may reference their use. This does not involve substance abuse, as it is in reference to the magical syringes that can remove memories. Individual posts will be tagged with a warning. I do NOT tag for spoilers, as this is a roleplay group, and the majority of what is discussed is prior knowledge within the group. I also will likely not post anything relevant to episodes as soon as they come out.
Reblogging: This account reblogs Rabbits and time shenanigans, as well as relevant posts made by other DnDads rp blogs.
Other: No explicit NSFW. Additionally, I understand if you do not wish to interact with an OC account as part of the roleplay. If I reblog something of yours, and you would prefer I don't, feel free to send an ask or DM me. I promise, I don't bite. <3

Character sheets are still a work in progress. I will have separate sheets for Lil, Junior, Sen, Silver, and Psi, each with levels suitable to their current statuses.

Background
Kelsey has mentioned their caretaker, Titi, and alluded to the fact that it was Titi who taught them to wield time magic.
Kelsey insists that time is not a line or a stream, but a Design.
Whenever rabbits are mentioned, Kelsey behaves as if there is something dangerous about the creatures.
Lil K, the youngest, is friendly and outgoing though shy in large groups. She likes to color in crayon, although all of her drawings are incoherent scribbles.
Junior Kels is assertive, loud, and usually rude. Swears quite a bit. Mean to the people they like. And the people they don't like. And pretty much everyone.
Senior Kels is quiet, often passive -aggressive, and dislikes bullshit. When confronted with younger individuals, however, they can be gentle. They are especially cautious around those suffering from anxiety or panic attacks.
Silver Kelsey typically doesn't interact online except to share the Rules of Time. They're busy hunting Rabbits and looking for something.
Psi Kel is confident, and speaks vaguely when talking about future events that they seem to have some knowledge of. They main Boo in Mario Kart.
When two Kelseys meet, it has been stated that they have a rule that makes one of the Kelseys either leave or give up memory of the encounter. It is implied that the one who must leave or give their memory is the younger one. Junior does not like this rule.
The Kelseys are not fond of other time travelers, especially Darryl. Anyone who has messed with time is also an object of annoyance. Glenn is on thin ice, and Mr. Moustache / Scam Likely is also currently on the bad side of the Kelseys.
Dennis Anderson / Mark Likely ( @dilf-dennis ) has repeatedly mentioned that he and Kelsey are friends, but at any mention of it Psi is quick to deny friendship between them.
Kelsey keeps a notepad with them at all times.
Kelsey has always returned all of their books to the Library.
•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•
This is all I've got for now. Thank you to everyone who's been roleplaying with us so far! I've been having such a good time, and I'm excited to see what stories we all come up with together.

Disney Fan Theory: Goofy Goof and George G. Geef
Hello, friends. While I am not big on modern Disney, I still love classic Disney and my favourite character is Goofy. I even enjoy his animated shorts in my adult life. However, I noticed with time, tons fan theories about this character, his history and family tree have come to light. In fact, I have one of my own that I want to share. Before throw it out there though I want to describe Goofy Goof’s character and history vs. George G. Geef’s.
Tumblr media
Goofy Goof (the definitive version) is a sweet to a fault, kind and jolly klutz with a heart of gold and tends to have these bouts of wisdom. His sense of style and demeanor is endearingly nerdy and his trademark accessory is his green hat though there are times he doesn’t wear it. His first pet was a grasshopper named Wilbur though it can be assumed that he passed away. Sometime after that, Goofy got married and had his son Maximillian Goof who is more commonly known as Max. Tragically, Goofy’s wife died in a car accident while their son was a still a baby and raised him alone since while taking in his second pet a cat who he named Waffles. By the time Max was about eleven, Goofy moved to Spoonerville and right next door to the Pete family. Considering Waffles is not in the picture when Max is older, it can be assumed that the cat passed away. Later on when Max moves out for college, Goofy also got his own college degree at long last and has gone through many odd jobs over the years. In present day, Max is eighteen while living alone and Goofy has adopted his third pet being a kitten named Mr. Pettibone. Goofy is also officially in a relationship with Clarabelle Cow.
Tumblr media
This brings us to a lates 50s to early 60s version of Goofy: George G. Geef. It’s very clear that George is a Goofy, but not THE Goofy. George is still clumsy, whimsical and even makes Goofy’s trademark sounds especially his laugh. However, his personality is much more serious, he has a bit of a temper, he has a slight ego and he is not above doing selfish things like gambling in secret. However, he is ultimately a good person and his sense of style and demeanor has much more finesse than Goofy does and he works in a office to this day. George does not have his two teeth exposed, he has a flesh coloured face, a black nose and black hair with black ears which he usually styles to be hidden most of the time while his body is flesh coloured all over. When George was single, he took in his first pet which a puppy named Bowser who eventually grew up and was pretty naughty. Later on, George got married (and it can be assumed that by then, Bowser passed away as he is not in the picture) and eventually had a son named Goerge G. Geef Jr. who everyone calls Junior. Like George, Junior styles his ears in such a way that they are hidden, he has a flesh coloured face and a flesh coloured body. However, his nose is pink and his hair is red which are traits he inherited from his mother. When Junior got older, the Geef family took in both a cat and a dog though their names were never specified. It is also hinted that George’s marriage got a bit rocky at one point as Mrs. Geef began to flirt with other men, but soon after, it was hinted that they worked things out and are happily married while Junior is as last seen in elementary school.
Now... I know the Disney wiki lists these two as being the same character, but I don’t I need to explain how that doesn’t make any sense as I don’t even need to list how different these two are. However, Disney insists that these two exist in the same universe and in the same timeline.
I know there is another fan theory out there that states that the Goofy who is Max’s father is actually George’s son grown up, but I think I don’t think that’s likely. While I can confirm that people who are redheads or blondes in their youth can wind up as brunettes in their adult life, I don’t think Goofy is Junior grown up because his last name is “Goof” not “Geef” and he’s too proud of his dad and family in general to be the type of person who changes his last name. Also, when he talks about his home life and childhood and all flashbacks of his youth indicate that not only was Goofy very different from Junior, when it was the 70s, Junior was a child while Goofy was a teenager.
This brings me at long last to MY fan theory to what Goofy and George are to each other. I think George is Goofy’s uncle. Specifically, Goofy’s grandfather is the brother of George’s mother meaning that they are also separated by a generation. Goofy did mention that he had a big family that was close nit. I say this because the timeline makes it so that it makes sense this way and because this is the only sensible way Goofy and George can exist at the same time while still both being Goofys. In fact, I don’t think a lot of the Goofys are the same person, but that’s a theory for another day.
Anyway, that is just my fun little theory, What is yours? Thank you for reading and as always, stay safe.

Are We Too Small to Change This Messed Up World?
Every day we wake up to a world that often feels heavy—riddled with conflict, injustice, climate crisis, inequality, and a deep spiritual hunger. Sometimes it feels like the problems are too big, and we are too small.
“What can I do?” we ask.
“Am I doing enough?”
Or even: “Does it matter?”
But perhaps the real question isn’t about how big we are or how much we do—it’s about how true we are to the values we live by. Across spiritual traditions, there’s a quiet wisdom: that even small actions can shift the world in unseen ways.
Let’s explore this question through different lenses, drawing from teachings both ancient and modern.
---
1. Buddhism – The Power of a Single Thought
Buddhism teaches that all things arise from the mind. Every intention, thought, and action creates a ripple in the vast web of existence. The 8th-century master Shantideva said:
> “May I be a guard for those who need protection,
A guide for those on the path,
A boat, a raft, a bridge for those who wish to cross the flood.”
In Mahayana Buddhism, the Bodhisattva path isn’t about saving the world with one grand act, but about committing to help others—again and again, lifetime after lifetime. Even offering a smile, or easing one person’s suffering, is seen as sacred work.
Lesson: You are never too small. Every drop of compassion adds to the ocean.
---
2. Christianity – The Seed that Grows in Silence
Jesus spoke of the mustard seed—the smallest of all seeds that grows into a great tree. The lesson? Faith and love, even when unseen, have enormous potential.
> “Whatever you did for one of the least of these... you did for me.” – Matthew 25:40
Acts of love don’t need to be loud or heroic. They matter when they’re done in service, no matter how small. A kind word, a quiet prayer, helping a neighbor—these are the true signs of spiritual strength.
Lesson: Great change often begins with small, faithful actions.
---
3. Taoism – The Quiet Strength of Water
Taoism, rooted in the Tao Te Ching, teaches that true power is gentle, flexible, and humble. Water, though soft, can cut through rock. It flows without resistance, finding its own path.
> “Do you have the patience to wait till your mud settles and the water is clear?”
– Lao Tzu
In a chaotic world, the Taoist path invites us to return to naturalness. By living simply, authentically, and with inner peace, we become living expressions of harmony. No need to fix the world—just embody the Way.
Lesson: Flow in your truth. Quiet presence brings balance.
---
4. Indigenous Teachings – Walking in Balance
Indigenous wisdom, across many cultures, teaches that we are part of a sacred web of life. Every plant, animal, stone, and person has a spirit. Our role is to walk in balance—with nature, ancestors, and community.
You don’t have to save the whole forest—but you can plant a tree. You don’t have to fix all the pain—but you can tend your part of the circle with care.
Lesson: Healing the world begins by honoring the sacred in your place and your way.
---
5. Modern Voices – Doing What You Can, Where You Are
Modern changemakers remind us that powerful movements often begin with one voice. Greta Thunberg began alone with a sign. Martin Luther King Jr. began with a dream. Gandhi began with a vow to live truthfully.
> “You may never know what results come of your actions. But if you do nothing, there will be no result.” – Gandhi
You don’t need a platform, an audience, or a million followers. Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.
Lesson: You are the change. Start now.
---
6. Shinto – Reverence in Everyday Life
Shinto, the traditional spirituality of Japan, sees kami (spirit) in everything—trees, rivers, stones, ancestors. It teaches us that every moment is an opportunity for purification, gratitude, and alignment with nature.
Even small acts—cleaning your space, offering a prayer, or treating others with care—are seen as honoring the sacred.
Lesson: Everyday reverence is a form of world-healing.
---
7. Stoicism – Control What You Can
The Stoic philosophers, like Marcus Aurelius and Epictetus, taught that we may not control the world, but we control how we respond. They advised focusing only on what is within our power—our thoughts, actions, and attitude.
> “Waste no more time arguing what a good man should be. Be one.” – Marcus Aurelius
Lesson: Don’t be overwhelmed by what’s out of reach. Focus on what is within your reach.
---
What Can You Do?
Maybe we can’t change the world in one grand act. But we can change our corner of it.
We can show up. Speak truth. Offer kindness. Create beauty. Refuse to give in to despair. Choose peace over rage. And do it again tomorrow.
And perhaps that’s not just enough—perhaps it’s everything.
> “Are we too small to change the world?”
Maybe.
But maybe, we’re exactly the right size to make it better—one breath, one act, one moment at a time.

POETRY BOOK OF THE DAY: When Mine Canaries Stop Singing by Nancy Avery Dafoe
On SALE now! Pre-order Price Guarantee: https://www.finishinglinepress.com/product/when-mine-canaries-stop-singing-by-nancy-avery-dafoe/
When Mine Canaries Stop Singing is a lyrical warning for us to take better care of the #Earth and all of her species or find ourselves in the extinction category. This #poetry collection is centered around what we have failed to do, but also what we still could do to improve our prospects, reduce our carbon #footprint, and extend life in all its glorious forms on our #planet.
Poet, author, educator Nancy Avery Dafoe has 13 published books with her 14th coming out this year. Her most recent books include the poetry collection The House Was Quiet, But the Mind Was Anxious (FLP, 2022) a memoir Unstuck in Time (PWP, 2021), and a literary novel Socrates is Dead Again (2022). Her poetry won the William Faulkner/Wisdom award in 2016, and her prose poetry won a national award from the Soul-Making Literary competition. She is a member of the CNY Branch of the National League of American Pen Women and lives in Homer, New York.
PRAISE FOR When Mine Canaries Stop Singing by Nancy Avery Dafoe
Nancy Dafoe’s When Mine Canaries Stop Singing is an important book dealing with the existential crisis of our age. In poetry form, we hear and feel the stark reality of our planet’s distress. A necessary question remains in our hearts after reading: what steps will we take to ensure that our blue sphere survives and thrives?
–Bobbie Dumas Panek, author of Just Another Day
I was assembling an anthology of poetry and essays about ecology, and Nancy Dafoe happened to be working on ecology poems simultaneously. I don’t know if my anthology encouraged her to write more ecology poems; however, I can see her aspects about ecological concerns even stretches to the stars. We have such a fragile planet made worse by our own wars, pollution, and driving animals into extinction. Dafoe points these facts out lyrically, beginning with her preface, through beavers, leafy sea dragons, people stranded on rooftops during a hurricane, concern for the trees, our carbon footprint, rivers going biologically dead. Don’t say that Nancy Avery Dafoedid not warn you.
–Martin Willitts, Jr, author of ecological poetry, Not Only the Extraordinary are Exiting the Dream World (Flowstone Press, 2022).

thanksgiving thanks
"in every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." 1 thes 5:18
and now, a list of thanks given by some.
i thank Thee i thank Thee, o Thou whose bounty fills my cup with every blessing meet. i give Thee thanks for every drop — the bitter and the sweet. i praise Thee for the desert road, and for the riverside; for all Thy goodness hath bestowed, and all Thy grace denied. i thank Thee for both smile and frown, and for the gain and loss; i praise Thee for the future crown and for the present cross. i thank Thee for both wings of love which stirred my worldly nest; and for the stormy clouds which drove me, trembling, to Thy breast. i bless Thee for the glad increase and for the waning joy; and for this strange, this settled peace which nothing can destroy — jane crewdson
thankful for His good gifts most gracious and all wise God; before whose face the generations rise and fall; Thou in whom we live, and move, and have our being. we thank thee for all of Thy good and gracious gifts, for life and for health; for food and for raiment; for the beauties of nature and the love of human nature. — martin luther king jr.
thank You, Lord, for food and friends we thank you, Lord, for food and friends, and for all of the joy this holiday lends. it's thanksgiving day and we can see the blessings you've provided our family. thanks to you, Lord, for another good year; when you watch over us, there's nothing to fear. — karl fuchs
thankful for love and mercy Lord, how can we ever thank You enough? You endured more pain, more shame, more sorrow, more grief than we can possibly fathom. help us remember why You gave Your life. because of love. because of mercy. because we desperately need them both. in Jesus' name, amen. – liz curtis higgs
prayer of thanks o, heavenly Father: we thank thee for food and remember the hungry. we thank thee for health and remember the sick. we thank thee for friends and remember the friendless. we thank thee for freedom and remember the enslaved. may these remembrances stir us to service, that thy gifts to us may be used for others. amen. — abigail van buren
a prayer for thanksgiving o God, we thank You for this earth, our home; for the wide sky and the blessed sun, for the salt sea and the running water, for the everlasting hills and the never-resting winds, for trees and the common grass underfoot. we thank You for our senses by which we hear the songs of birds, and see the splendor of the summer fields, and taste of the autumn fruits, and rejoice in the feel of the snow, and smell the breath of the spring. grant us a heart wide open to all this beauty, and save our souls from being so blind that we pass unseeing when even the common thornbush is aflame with your glory. o God our Creator, Who lives and reigns for ever and ever. — walter rauschenbusch
on thanksgiving day heavenly Father, on thanksgiving day, we bow our hearts to You and pray. we give You thanks for all You've done, especially for the gift of Jesus, Your Son. for beauty in nature, Your glory we see, for joy and health, friends, and family. for daily provision, Your mercy and care, these are the blessings You graciously share. so today we offer this response of praise with a promise to follow You all of our days. — mary fairchild
the time we have together our Father, we give thanks for the time we have together to appreciate each other. we give thanks for Your presence which is shared at our table. we give thanks for Your abundant provisions. we pray your guidance toward paths of righteousness and wisdom. may our conversation be joyful, edifying and encouraging. strengthen us, o God, to share Your good news and to serve where You call us. we pray, humbly, in the name of Jesus, our Savior. amen. — madge p. williams
a prayer of gratitude let us therefore proclaim our gratitude to providence for manifold blessings — let us be humbly thankful for inherited ideals — and let us resolve to share those blessings and those ideals with our fellow human beings throughout the world. on that day let us gather in sanctuaries dedicated to worship and in homes blessed by family affection to express our gratitude for the glorious gifts of God; and let us earnestly and humbly pray that He will continue to guide and sustain us in the great unfinished tasks of achieving peace, justice, and understanding among all men and nations and of ending misery and suffering wherever they exist. — president john f. kennedy
a thanksgiving prayer o God, when i have food, help me to remember the hungry. when i have work, help me to remember the jobless. when i have a home, help me to remember those who have no home at all. when i am without pain, help me to remember those who suffer. and remembering, help me to destroy my complacency, bestir my compassion, and be concerned enough to help, by word and deed, those who cry out for what we take for granted. amen. — samuel f. pugh
a prayer for the thanksgiving feast for the laughter of the children, for my own life breath, for the abundance of food on this table, for the ones who prepared this sumptuous feast, for the roof over our heads, the clothes on our backs, for our health, and our wealth of blessings, for this opportunity to celebrate with family and friends, for the freedom to pray these words without fear, in any language, in any faith, in this great country, whose landscape is as vast and beautiful as her inhabitants. thank You, God, for giving us all these. amen. — rabbi naomi levy
a thanks for a union long in coming i have what i consider an "adopted son." one whom i have never met from a place i have never visited. you see, he is one of the many "spiritually" adopted sons God has promised to us barren ones. he is to be wed this week to a long lost love and reunited with the family they bore together. their promiscuous youth seeded a beautiful child which brought with it parental anger and separation. God's grace has kept them both single and prepared for this restoration now taking place. there are no happen-chances with God. Father God, i pray You bless this union that has been too long in coming and keep it by Your grace, in Jesus name! — linda jennings
"and let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful." col 3:15 and let us not forget the psalms. "enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. be thankful to Him, and bless His name." psa 100:10
and now perhaps, you need to add a thanksgiving of your own!

The Hands-Down Best Quotes About Da Ancient Time
The ancient times hold a profound allure, captivating our imagination with stories of great civilizations, legendary figures, and timeless wisdom. Throughout history, numerous individuals have reflected on the mysteries and wonders of antiquity, leaving behind a treasure trove of insightful quotes. In this blog post.
"The past is not dead; it is living in us, and will be alive in the future which we are now helping to make." - William Morris This quote by William Morris emphasizes the idea that the ancient times are not merely relics of the past but are integral to our present and future. It reminds us that our actions today shape the course of history and carry the legacy of the ancient world forward.
Tumblr media
"The first step in exceeding your potential is to believe in your own abilities." - John Mason While not specific to the Ancient times, this quote by John Mason highlights a timeless truth. In the context of antiquity, it reminds us that many great accomplishments of the past were made possible by individuals who dared to believe in their abilities and strive for greatness.
"A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin, and culture is like a tree without roots." - Marcus Garvey Marcus Garvey's quote draws attention to the importance of knowing and appreciating our ancient history. Just as roots provide stability and nourishment to a tree, understanding our past empowers us to better comprehend our identity and navigate the complexities of the present.
"We are not makers of history. We are made by history." - Martin Luther King Jr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s words remind us that the ancient times shape us as individuals and societies. Our beliefs, traditions, and values are deeply influenced by the struggles and achievements of those who came before us. Recognizing this connection can foster empathy, humility, and a sense of collective responsibility.
"The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." - Nelson Mandela This quote by Nelson Mandela resonates with the spirit of resilience that characterized many ancient civilizations. The ability to learn from setbacks, overcome adversity, and persist in the face of challenges is a testament to the strength and determination of both individuals and civilizations throughout history.
Tumblr media
Conclusion: The Ancient times continue to inspire and shape our world, leaving a lasting impact on our collective consciousness. Through the wisdom and reflections of individuals like William Morris, John Mason, Marcus Garvey, Martin Luther King Jr., and Nelson Mandela, we gain a deeper understanding of the significance of our ancient heritage. By appreciating and learning from the past, we can forge a brighter future grounded in the timeless lessons of antiquity.

From Maxwell Sawyer's Blog
WHAT HAPPENED SO FAR
Children are an heritage of the Watcher, and the fruit of the womb is His reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man, so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them.
My youth might be quicky leaving me, but I am a proud father of six, and my son Maxwell Sawyer Jr. is getting ready to step out from my umbrella of authority and leave us and cleave to his future wife. We are joyfully anticipating his wedding to his betrothed Priscilla Johnson later in this season, and faithfully teaching our younger children Anne, Randall, Margaret, Jasper, and Henrietta the Word of the Watcher to make sure they also follow His ways.

The Basics of Kemetic Philosophy (without the appropriated shit from Judaism)
I'm starting a series on Kemetic philosophy because a lot of my readings on it have included things like Kabbalah (Kabala, Kabbala, Qabala, etc.) which is directly appropriated from Judaism, and definitely would not have been included in ancient Kemetic philosophy.
This series relies heavily on the following books/independent publications (this continues to be updated as the series continues):
The Instruction of Ptah-Hotep and the Instruction of Ka'Gemni: The Oldest Books in the World translated by John Murray
Teachings of Ptahhotep
Maat: The 11 Laws of God by Ra Un Nefer Amen (somewhat, this book literally has the Kabbalistic tree of life on its' cover so I don't take a lot from it--it's really just a good jumping-off point because it covers so much)
Maat: The Moral Idea in Ancient Egypt by Maulana Karenga
The Literature of Ancient Egypt: An Anthology of Stories, Instructions, and Poetry edited with an introduction by William Kelly Simpson. Authors include Robert K. Ritner, Vincent A. Tobin, and Edward F. Wente.
I Am Because We Are: Readings in Africana Philosophy by Fred Lee Hord, Mzee Lasana Okpara, and Johnathan Scott Lee.
Ancient Egyptian Literature: Volume I: The Old and Middle Kingdoms by Miriam Lichtheim (2006 Edition)
Current Research in Egyptology 2009: Proceedings of the Tenth Annual Symposium by Judith Corbelli, Daniel Baotright, and Claire Malleson
Old Kingdom, New Perspectives: Egyptian Art and Archaeology 2750-2150 BC by Nigel Strudwick and Helen Strudwick

Current Research in Egyptology 2016: Proceedings of the Seventeenth Annual Symposium by Julia M. Chyla, Joanna Dêbowska-Ludwin, Karolina Rosińska-Balik, and Carl Walsh
Mathematics in Ancient Egypt: A Contextual History by Annette Imhausen
The Instruction of Amenemope: A Critical Edition and Commentary by James Roger Black
"The ancient Egyptian concept of Maat: Reflections on social justice and natural order" by R. James Ferguson

Hey so I'm a self-taught witch who practices independently and I was hoping to learn a little bit from others as well. Do you have any books/resources/people you recommend looking into?
Hi there!
I'm a self-taught witch as well and I'm still at the beginning of my journey, at the moment I'm yet to finish the big blue book Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft of which I'm also sharing the lessons (you can find tose posts in my archive here) so for now I can only really recommend that one, but I'm marking down all the recommendend supplementary redings at the end of every lesson if you wanna check them out!
I'm also reading a very interesting and complete book about tarot called Holistic Tarot which i really recommend, it's a bit expensive maybe but it's totally worth it
Other than that I can write down here the list of recommended reading at the end of the blue book (with extra books other than the ones already listed at the end of every lesson), I can't recommend those personally (even if I did buy some of them but I still have to read them) but I think they're worth a shot if you'd like to know more, I'll add the other two I mentioned above in the list, in any case if you find other books online read carefully all the reviews cause many books are not serious about this topic
Also I'm not sure but I think these books below are all from white people and mainly about white cultures (and most of them are very old), so If you (or anyone else) have some recommendations about other cultures' book about witchcraft or ancient traditions I'd be glad to know more about that too!
As for people and other resources, I follow some witches on Twitter that shares interesting stuff, it would be too long to link all of their profiles so I can give you directly the list of people I follow here
I hope you'll find this helpful~

Text
We have no need For clothes— Two Adams With ribs Whole, Craving for no Eve Needing no serpent To instruct us On new ways Of sinning.
God's the Perpetual absentee, Omniscient Yet absent-minded. He must have forgotten About us.
But how we thank him. Praise this omnipotent Holy of holies Who admits We were made, After all, on his own image Tall, Dark And Handsome As he is.
Praise him For sparing us From that sleep And letting us Keep our prime ribs Whole.
In this paradise, This terrain of wish- Fulfillment And desire, We have no need For fruits And trees.
Our tongue, our bodies With wisdom Speak, Quickening our blood. We have no need For words.
Like gods, We know Our names With every kiss.
Felino S. Garcia Jr., "Genesis"
