Donning pearl pieces of jewelry and also semi precious rock jewellery are a craze and fashion these days. Pure gold jewellery will be costly when compared with these merchandise. You can actually keep a huge collection and also have a set each for every single outfit! This is because of the affordability. Anybody can easily afford donning pearl jewellery and semi precious rock jewellery. Semi precious stones range from aquamarine, turquoise, amethyst, topaz, onyx, opel, diamond look-alikes, and more. Snippet - Dance of Death - Forward but Never Forget/XOXO
Tumblr media
Vi gets a front row seat to the deadliest show in Zaun.
Forward but Never Forget/XOXO
His head inclines, and the servers slip away. "Maven."
At the name, Vi's body turns to hot gelatin.
The image is instantaneous: Nao, laid out on a wooden plank, with her arms bound over her head. Silco, looming, a knife in his fist. The blood: seeping, pooling. Nao's ear-splitting shrieks presaging her final, strangled gasps.
Nao isn't bound.
Cat-footed, she slips through the backdoor. The lamplight cuts a silhouette of her body.  She's sheathed in a sheer lacework gown of intricately beaded silk: midnight black, and shot through with a webbing of red ribbons. The bodice, cut to the hips, is backless. The plunge chases the dip of her spine all the way to the dimples above her backside.  The skirt falls in a ruched cascade around her legs, the lines fluid as shadows. The rest of the gown reveals as much as it conceals: the slopingly rich cups of her breasts, and the smoothness of her belly and the tautness of her highs.
It's a dress worthy of a single night. One hard tug, and it will unravel, baring her in full.
The sound system begins to whisk the softest strains of a lute. Vi recognizes the tune. It's an old tribal song, from the northern hills of Ionia: a rhythm of string and drum, and a woman's voice pitched to a crooning lament. The doleful notes resonate, as if from the bottom of a well. The plucked arpeggios quiver with their own oldness: each percussion like the precipice of a plunge.
Nao glides to the table. Her smooth sashay is nearly as hypnotic as her smile. Between her breasts, the gold pendant gleams: the Eye's insignia a hypnogogic whorl. Her cat-eyes are ringed in kohl, and her hair's been teased into a rippling cascade. Two masks—one horned, one fanged—dangle from her fingers. Their painted smiles are red as her own.
At Silco's side, she dips into a playful curtsy. A fall of blue-black hair spills, baring the swanlike curve of her neck down to the arch of her back.
The sight sears itself into Vi's retinas: a target in motion.
"Sir," Nao says, and her voice is pure honey. "Your table looks lonely."
Silco inclines his head. His lips are upturned, but there is nothing pleasant about the smile. "Perhaps you should rectify that."
Politely, he proffers a hand. Nao takes it.
In a fluid motion, she vaults over his chair and onto the table. Her feet are bare: they make no sound across the polished hardwood. She struts across its length like a catwalk, smooth scissoring steps. The blacklights shine on her legs: sculptural marvels from ankle to thigh. Her eyes never once meet Vi's. They stare at a fixed point beyond the guests' heads: an expression of one part feline indifference mingled with two parts sensual provocation.
Midway, Nao pivots. The skirts swirl. The masks are tossed into the air. In the same blink, she catches them. Her wrists execute a complex, serpentine weave. The masks dance together, their painted grins spinning in a Janus-faced double-helix. Then they flip. Nao's arms extend, one forward, one backward, the two masks held out like shields.
She slips them on.
The horned one, in front, is a snarling demon-face in blood-red, complete with curling horns. The fanged one, in the back, is a leering death's head of jagged white teeth. As she pirouettes, the faces rotate: demon and skull, switching places, again and again, with the seamlessness of a madhouse mirror.
The effect is disorienting. Mesmerizing. The underbosses stare, spellbound, as Nao completes the circuit. Her body is sinuous: the joints swiveling as if on servos, the twist of her hips suggesting a corkscrew as her shoulders follow the movement, followed by her nimble feet. When the pirouette completes, her hands fall. The masks remain: back-to-back.
The face of death, and the face of damnation.
Both, grinning. Both, hungry.
"The Day of Ash," Silco says, the barest timbre over the pulsebeat of the drums, "is a day of many faces. Life. Death. Each, a face we've all glimpsed. One, too often." His shark-eye holds the sheen of old blood. "Tonight, we've earned the right to know it intimately." The barest smile. "And cut it down to size."
He signals to Ran.
In a trice, a silver tray is set before him. In the blacklights, the throwing-stars—the ones Ran was polishing earlier—wink like the sharpest eye-teeth. Some are matte black, some are chrome, and others hold the iridescnce of an oil-slick.
Silco chooses one, tossing it skyward. It spins, a blurred pinwheel of light. All eyes track its flight. Then, on the downward arc, Silco snatches it from the air. It's a blur: his hand whipping out, the star gone. When it reappears, it is notched neatly on the wall between Uzi and Vi. The tip is sunk into the wooden panel, the steel quivering.
The underbosses explode into raucous whoops.
Vi feels the pulse beating at her fingertips. She's witnessed Silco's knifework up-close. This is the first time she's been treated to his marksmanship. She knows his vision is compromised: he sees the world in shades of red, and his depth perception is shot. But his aim is uncannily precise. He could have easily put the star between Uzi's eyes—or hers.
Again, she hears Vander's words: The weight does the talking. The wrist does the work.
That's the difference between a nick and a knifing.
Silco plucks a second star, and another, and a fourth. Their spokes are slotted between his knuckles.
His eyes lock on Nao.
At the table, she is stock still. Her body's lush contours seem composed of pure luminance.  Upon her shoulders, the death's head leers. The skull's eyeholes are a pair of voids. Nao's own face, behind the mask, is an unknown quantity.
Vi can see is the rise-and-fall of her chest.
"Well?" Silco says, deceptively mild. "Shall we begin?"
Nao's voice comes husked behind her mask. "At your pleasure, sir."
Silco's expression gives away nothing. Only a sharpening gleam in the eyes, of a piece with the steel he wields. "I'm afraid you've got it the wrong way round."
He lifts his arm, and the throwing-star is level with her throat.
"You'll finish," he says, "at mine."
Nao's shoulders square. In a single breath, she fills her lungs. The skull-face remains impassive.
Then, sinuously, she begins to dance.
Her lead foot plants itself the way Vi does before a fight: like a nail has been pounded through it. Using it as a fulcrum, she works the power up through her ankles, along her calves, into her thighs. Her hips follow. They sway in an insinuating gyration: side-to-side. The motions are mesmeric.  Shadows pool in the hollows between her hipbones. The blacklights turn her dress into a tapestry of shadows, undercut with red. Her mask is a cipher.
The music swells. The singer's voice soars to an aria: abyssal swoops and eerie falls. In between, a slow, throbbing pulsebeat snakes its way down the spine. It conjures the fantasy of a dark goddess elbow-deep in grisly human remains. Blood splattering her skin; her head thrown back in a ecstasy.
The underbosses are enthralled.
Dessert has become an afterthought. All that exists is the music and the Maven.
Nao's spine lengthens. Her head falls back. The curve of her neck, dark and smooth, bares itself to the blacklights. Her arms give chase: lifting with undulant slowness over her head.  The movement loosens the ribboning of her bodice. The fabric, peeled back, exposes ribs that spread like fingers under round breasts tipped with mouthwateringly dark nipples. The pendant, suspended in her cleavage, sparks gold.
Then she executes a pivot, a liquid twist of motion, and her mask swaps sides.
The visage, front and center, is a snarling demon's. It gleams red as blood from a freshly torn vein. Nao's arms are still raised. Her fingers weave together, the elbows and wrists articulating into an angular sinuosity that suggests a pair of snakes interlocked. The muscles in her back are finely sculpted: the latissimus a cobra's hood, the sinews fluttering in her trapezius like wings. Shadows pour into the dip of her spine. They collect in the dimples above her rear. Her gown, slipping, teases at the shape of her bottom: round and full.
It's a spectacle of brute eroticism—and surreal grotesquerie. Vi has never seen anything like it. The music and Nao's body ripple as one. But there's a difference to the skull's dance and the demon's. The former was slow, studied, sensuous. The latter is a canal frenzy. Nao's hips jolt on a gyre: left, right, left.  Her body rolls: spine arching, shoulders thrust back. Her hair whips in a windswept storm. The blacklights edge each strand with the luster of opals.
Then she starts to spin.
In a blur, the demon becomes the skull, and the skull becomes the demon. Her skirts billow, the beads sparkling, the ribbons coming undone. The smoothness of one columnar thigh bares itself. Then the sleek crescent of one buttock. Then the architectural shelf of hips. A glimpse is teased of the cleft between her legs.
Then the vision is snatched away. The dress fabric, parted like wings, snaps shut. Nao's hands, skittering up the ribbons, weave them back into place.
One glimpse is enough: the promise of paradise long lost.
The underbosses loosen raucous whoops and catcalls.  Some, bolder, begin pounding on the table. The room swelters with the throttlingly deep charge of desire.
And death.
As Nao completes the fifth turn, Silco's arm lifts, and the first star is flung.
It arcs in a quicksilver streak. Nao swerves, already in motion. The star zips past, and lodges itself a foot away from her shoulder. The underbosses drag in a collective gasp. Nao doesn't miss a beat. She executes a flawless backbend, nearly a ninety-degree angle, just as a second star whizzes past her head.
Her palms land flat the table. She launches herself into perfect handstand, thighs scissoring, and for a moment every inch of her body is in full view. Then her feet go over, toes pointing, and her legs extend in a perfect horizontal split. A heartbeat later, Vi spots a third star, already notched on the far wall, less than a handspan from the crook of her neck.
A red line oozes along the skin. The vein pulses rapidly beneath.
Reflexively, Vi jerks her body toward Silco. It's blind adrenaline. She has no idea what she'll do. All that matters is stopping the next throw.
Or wringing his neck.
A moment later, Sevika's cybernetic hand lands on her shoulder. The weight is the equivalent of a cast-iron skillet. Vi is slammed back into her seat.
The blacklights carve the dimensions of Sevika's profile into a brutalist sculpture: the chin a block, the nose a blunt chisel, the eyes a metal-plated pair of glaives.
"Don't even think about it," she says.
Vi's jaw locks. The grip is an iron vice.
This, she understands, is her punishment. She'd been stupid. She'd made the mistake of assuming the worst had already happened. Now the worst is happening, and her hands are bound.
All she can do is watch.
A tiny rivulet of blood runs down the column of Nao's throat, and flecks the gold pendant. Her chest heaves: her breaths come jittery. Vi wonders if it's exertion—or panic. The former, probably. Nao is no fool. She'd known the risks.
They only spur her on.
Nao's fingers splay across the table. One thigh scythes up, and a toe touches down. She uses it as a pivot to launch herself upright. The beads in her dress sparkle: an explosion of embers. The demon-face grins, its maw stained with gore.
A heartbeat later, another star streaks toward her.
Nao dances, and the star follows.  It collides against a beam, and ricochets, burying itself in the floorboards. Nao pirouettes, and the next one misses by a hairsbreadth—literally. Vi sees a few strands float free. Then, she spins, and her leg goes out, and the demon is facing the opposite direction. The skull's eyes are black holes, the teeth white and gleaming
A star sinks into the wood at her feet. Splinters fly.
Vi's hands ball into fists. The terror and adrenaline blur together: a mad buzz. She can barely hear the music. Her eyes are locked on Nao, who's still dancing. The swivel of her hips becomes a pendulum, tick-tocking. With each motion, the ribbons of her skirt begin to unravel.
The next throw is a feint. Nao ducks, and the star flies overhead. But her dodge takes her off-balance, and she nearly loses her footing.
The next star, cutting cunningly slantwise, nearly slices her hip. It embeds with a dull thwock into the table . The hem of her skirt is snagged, and ripped in half. The beads scatter like broken teeth.
Nao rights herself.  The rent in her dress exposes her from throat down to the juncture between her legs. There is no undergarment, no barrier. Her mons is shorn clean: the smooth mound bare. The blacklights trace the dark, tight crease between her thighs.
Vi's throat works.
"Oh yeah," Uzi breathes, a hoarse exhalation. "That's my kinda party."
Another star flies. It cuts the shadows like a comet. The underbosses crane their necks. Nao is midway through a leap, her legs a split. The star's trajectory takes her perfectly dead-center.
Then she drops bellydown, and her back arches. The star zooms past her head. It buries itself into the wall.
The underbosses' cheers are deafening. So is Vi's heartbeat.
Smoothly, Nao straightens. Her gown is a shredded ruin around her feet. Sweat limns her body, skin glistening as if she's been dipped. Her breasts quiver with the force of her heartbeat. The gold pendant has gone red.
Again, a star flies. Again, she spins.
It is a surreal tableau of beauty and monstrosity. Each rotation brings a different mask into view: each an identical visage of sadism.  One moment, the fanged skull; the next, the horned beast. Nao is the axis on which they spin. And the stars, scattershot fractals in her orbit. Each one lands, inch by inch, closer to her bare, beautiful flesh.
The underbosses cheers gain volume. The music hits a crescendo. The room is a furnace.
The final star flies. Nao has no time to dodge. She's still mid-whirl. The masks, melting and merging and reforming, have transmogrified into a single nightmarish entity: hunger made flesh. The gyrations of her body become a vortex, sucking all light. The room goes black. All Vi can see are the twin eyeholes with their blank stare, and the blacklights spitting a corona of blue fire.
The final star strikes: a silver bullet.
It hits into the wood just behind Nao's heel. Off-balance, she stumbles.
A moment later, the song ends, the final note stretching like a scream. Nao braces on her hands and knees, panting. The masks, now, are just that: masks. Beneath is a girl, trembling beneath a fine sheen of sweat. Her hair is a tangled spill, her dress in shreds, the beads glittering like six dozen drops of blood.
A live sacrifice.

Who is Eden?
This page is under construction, the story needs revamping. Forgive me for such a long wait for the change. I hope to get the backstory and information rewritten soon.
Triggar warning: The  backstory contains parental death.
Name: Eden Inbar
Many of the characters in the Final Fantasy Universe have unique names (such as Yazoo, Rude, and Cloud); I wanted to try to stick to that.  Her father gave her the name Eden, in hopes she would be as beautiful and bountiful in blessings, but he had no intentions in her falling into sin like those within the Garden. Eden is to represent the Garden of Eden in that sense. As the story progresses, Eden gradually becomes corrupted with the jealousy and the frustration in her struggle with her heritage and identity, she betrays the Planet and what she holds dear, thus resulting in her losing that spiritual light.
Not only she represents the fall of Eden, but her story is to illustrate Judas Iscariot, the disciple who committed betrayal out of greed. Ultimately, her story is to reveal that even the most faithful can fall. However, her story is to also show the radical power of forgiveness, how it can revive the dead spirit.
The last name, Inbar, means “Amber” in Hebrew. The amber eyes are a major characteristic of Eden. They are supposed to be inherited from her Cetran roots. From what I gathered, Ancients are known to have earthy traits; an example being Aerith’s green eyes and brown hair. Eden is given amber eyes not only because it is an earthy color, but it also represents her darker motivations. Amber is the color of sap that bleeds from wounded trees; when Eden betrays the Planet, she hurts all that is connected with it such as the people, animals, plants, and trees.Their blood stains her conscience.
Race: Cetra/Cosmo Canyon Native
Appearance: Eden stands about 5’ 3’’, and has medium tan skin from her mother and father. She is also considered underweight due to her subpar hunting skills. She is not always successful in catching food; and with the gritty, bleak world Final Fantasy VII is set in, many of the population were poor and couldn’t always afford necessities. Eden is one of those who struggle greatly.
She also has various scars from her hunts and battles. Three claw marks are seen on her left collarbone; three huge, jagged scars rip over her left rib cage and reach down her side. She also has scars from a bite wound on her right arm.
I based her appearance loosely on the Egyptian and Middle Eastern backgrounds. She bears the tattoos around her eyes and on her cheeks that are iconic of Egyptian relics, and wears three piercings on both ears (a golden ring, silver stud, and silver ring), the ivory fang gauge is seen only on her left ear. Two thin, silver lip rings are on her bottom lip.
There is also a tattoo on her left wrist, hidden beneath her arm covering. It is a small sun symbol with two eagle feathers. It’s to honor her late mother.
Each of the eight thin braids, each braid held together by a gold band. Her bangs are long, angled, messy, and jagged.
The choker she wears around her neck is hemp braided with a gun-metal, swirled tribal pendant that loosely resembles a beast’s paw. The dark satchel strapped to her hip often carries sleep materia and other small items she can manage to stuff in. She also has hazel eyes, to give an indication of her connection to the Planet. She also wears baggy, acid-stained jeans and furry boots.
From what I gathered from Cetra (Ancients) depicted from the Temple, they resonate with an appearance of those from Egypt and the surrounding area. I am aware that Aerith does not look as exotic (light skin tone, no eye markings) but I wanted to try to reflect what the Cetra ancestors may have looked, or intended to look.
Personality: Eden can be cunning, and she relies on this trait when facing a troubling situation; often choosing to stick to the shadows and tricks rather than facing someone head-on. Eden can’t stand the thought of losing control and is known to fight viciously and dirty when cornered. Preferring to be quiet and simply observe, she struggles with social interactions, especially first time meetings. She is paranoid towards others, thus she doesn’t trust easily. The woman is also victim to envy, as she can become very jealous towards those who are more skilled or more blessed than she is. She broods quietly instead of talking about her problems; and can seem dishonest, selfish, and stubborn.
However, towards those who grow close to her heart, she becomes protective and does her best to be dependable. The Ancient becomes more playful to those she loves and often becomes touchy-feely with them. She is rather insecure, due to her fear of the LifeStream and belief that she is cursed, and often looks towards intimacy as a means to help combat with her insecurities.
Parents:
Her father’s name is Cassiel, which is the name of the archangel of tears and solitude in the Kabbalah. He is an Ancient, and because of his heritage, he questions and fears of what the voices will do to him. Because of his fear, He tries not to get involved with the Planet’s troubles, despite the Planet’s urgings for him to act.
Her mother’s name is Nizhoni, which I found means “Beautiful” in Navajo. She is a Cosmo Canyon native, and a passionate supporter of AVALANCHE and the Planet. She tries to give as much as she can to support their cause.
Past:  A dull thud struck the floor, followed by a tired breath as the disturbed red dust hung around the large, burlap sack. The older man stopped from stocking one of the shelves and turned his head, dark eyes gleaming to see the young woman standing before him. “Nizhoni,” he greeted, taking his small glasses off and wiping the lenses with a worn cloth hanging from his pocket. “It’s good to see you. I hope you’re well.” The woman nodded, “it’s good to see you too. I brought some dried meat and furs for the courier to take to Midgar, hopefully they’ll find some use for them.” The woman was about to reach down for the sack as she continued. “Maybe they can sell the furs for some gil. Cassiel managed to take down some really—“ “Nizhoni,” the man interjected, stepping towards her and taking a gentle hold on her should to stop her from leaning over. “You know you shouldn’t be travelling so far and wearing yourself out like this. Not in your condition.”
Nizhoni let out a sigh, placing her hand on her full abdomen. “Cassiel already gets onto me about this. I’m a grown woman,” she replied, trying to not let her annoyance show. “I’m fine, the baby’s fine.” The shopkeeper gave an apologetic smile. “I understand, but you look like you hadn’t slept in a while.” His smile faded slightly as he caught sight of the dark circles under her eyes. “These trips are hard on you as it is, and with the baby on the way…” Nizhoni shook her dark messy bangs from her face; an intense light gleamed in her eyes. “This is something I want to do, feel called to do. AVALANCHE is struggling as it is, the least I can do is offer supplies. Besides, this may be my last trip, until the baby is born.”
The man nodded, bending down to pull the bag up. “I understand,” he repeated; Nizhoni was a headstrong woman, and from he learned in times before, there was no winning an argument with her. “I will make sure these will get to them.” He shuffled towards the counter, pausing to turn back towards her. “Please Nizhoni, just…just take care of yourself, all right?” She gave a slight nod, “I will. I haven’t died yet, have I?” The woman gave him a forced smile before turning towards the door. “Thank you, I really hope that will help them.” With that, she stepped out into the sun-soaked village.
For another hour, she rode across the crimson earth, dark eyes focused on the familiar path before her. The chocobo that carried her over the sloping rock, her hands tugged at the reins to halt the bird. The chocobo let out a complaint, shaking its pale yellow head.   Her eyes fell on the small adobe house nestled behind the ridge. She sighed, thankful to finally be home. She pulled on the reins slightly once more, signaling for the bird to step down the rocky path towards the house. As she approached the house, a young man stepped out. His large, calloused hand slipped underneath his long chestnut brown hair, rubbing the back of his neck. His honey-hued eyes glanced up to see the smoky black-haired woman riding towards him. He sighed, a weary worrisome look upon his face. He should have known she would go off, he had known since he first opened his eyes to see her side of the bed empty.
Nizhoni smiled towards him, but it soon faded as she looked into his face. She turned the chocobo towards the hitching post beside the front window, slipping off the bird. “Was wondering why the bed was so cold.” The male Cetra started, stepping closer. “Oh, you just got up?” Nizhoni teased back, tying the lead on the hitch post onto the chocobo’s halter, letting it eat the freshly picked vegetables from its trough.
“Didn’t get to come back until really late at night, tracking griffins is near to impossible.” He reached over to slip off the bags off the chocobo’s back. “Which brings me to the question…”  Nizhoni sighed, here it comes… “Why were you running around in the canyon so early in the morning? You know how dangerous it is before sunrise.”  The woman looked towards him, putting her hands on her hips. “You don’t think I can take care of myself,” she asked, already feeling weary with her husband worrying over her. “Of course I do,” Cassiel smiled weakly. “It’s just with a baby on the way, I don’t want you to put yourself under so much stress.” He closed his eyes for a moment, almost afraid to know the answer to his next question. “You’ve gone back to give supplies to AVALANCHE again, haven’t you?”
Nizhoni’s eyes never left his face. “And what if I have?”  A heavy breath escaped from Cassiel’s broad chest, his hand rubbing his face. “Nizhoni, you know the trip over puts a lot of stress on you. The doctor warned you about this. Besides,” he opened his eyes, but kept his focus on the earth. “AVALANCHE is not our concern.” The woman narrowed her eyes to hear such words. “Not a concern? Cassiel, it has everything to do with us! With the Planet! They’re our only hope of saving it from ShinRa’s destruction and—“ “It’s not our fight,” Cassiel spoke, his tone cold. She stared at him, her hands clenched into fists. “Listen to yourself,” she snapped, “If anyone’s, it’s your fight Cassiel! You hear them, those voices! You keep saying they cry out to you. The Planet needs you to—“
“Enough,” the Ancient roared, his eyes glaring at his wife. She didn’t take a step back, her eyes remained locked defiantly on his. Cassiel hung his head, turning from her to look up at the horizon. “Those voices have also been the ones that killed my people. I can’t trust them.” His eyes grew vacant, “you know I can’t.” “You don’t know that,” Nizhoni urged. “If you just have faith and listen.”  “No,” Cassiel grunted, “I won’t stand here and listen to my loved one speak for those demons.” The Ancient turned his head back towards Nizhoni who bore a glimmer of sorrow in her eyes. “Come on, you need to kick back and rest,” he said, turning back towards the house. Nizhoni watched as he stepped into the house, before looking towards the painted canyon. “Gaia, help us.” The words slipped beneath her breath as she pressed her hand onto her stomach. She stared for a moment longer before following after Cassiel. Rest sounded wonderful to her at that point.
The several months passed like grains of sand; on a cool, still night, the young couple rushed into Cosmo Canyon’s Inn. The tense air broke with the quaking sobs and pained cries of the woman as she writhed in her bed, her husband and a midwife at her side. Cassiel’s calloused fingers gently caressed the stray strands of her hair that stuck upon her sweat drenched face. Nizhoni let out another cry, tears squeezing free from her tightly shut eyes. “Just relax,” the male Ancient murmured, pressing his head against hers, mind frantically searching for a better way to console her as her quivering hand tightly gripped his. “You’re doing well, Mrs. Inbar,” encouraged the midwife as she made preparations for the birth.  “I just need you to keep taking deep breaths and push for me.” The struggle felt like ages for the three in the room; finally, Nizhoni’s cries suddenly fell into a ragged breath, and the feeble cries rose. Cassiel’s lifted his head slowly, eyes gleaming bright with tears. Never did he believe such a thing could ever happen to them… “It’s a girl!” The midwife announced, excitement brimming in her voice as she took the baby into clean thick cloths. “A girl…” the man repeated, tears streaming down his weary face. “A beautiful girl.”
He turned his eyes towards Nizhoni, who lay still on the bed, eyes closed. “Did you hear that, love? We brought new life to this world. A girl.” He gently shook her, but the exhausted woman never opened her eyes. “Nizhoni, did you hear me? Our new daughter, Eden, open your eyes and see her.” His eyes widened slightly, worry soon began to thread into his confusion. “Nizhoni?” Glowing orbs formed over her body, sending him into a wild panic. “No! Nizhoni, no! Darling, please!” He shot to his feet, gripping onto her. The midwife held the baby in her arms, horror and tears apparent on her visage. “Oh Gaia…” She turned and threw the door open, crying in vain for help. “No, Nizhoni. Open your eyes… Open your eyes!” His voice rang out in desperation, his large frame trembling like a child. “You can’t let them take you! Nizhoni!” No matter how much he roared, the ghostly orbs continued to float away from the woman. He frantically tried to hold onto her body but within seconds, his panicked hands only gripped onto the sheets. He stared down at the empty bed, and then slowly sank to his knees. He buried his face into the side of the bed, the sheets twisted into his grip as his tears of joy became sobs of heartbreak.
Two days went by after her passing, the Ancient stood by the window, his hazel eyes glazed as he stared out into the village. The midwife sat in the chair still at the bedside, examining the tiny infant in the bundled carrier “She seems to be getting stronger.” She commented, cradling the drowsy child. “Why did I let her keep giving supplies to this damned place? I should have known this would do something to her.” The older woman looked up as Cassiel’s voice growled, unable to catch all he said. “What?” The man narrowed his eyes, glaring towards the blazing sky. “Taking these trips to help those idiots fighting in Midgar, they wore her down, killed her!” The midwife looked up at him, before gently placing the baby back into the woven, basket-like cradle. “You don’t know that, Mr. Inbar,” she tried to gently reassure him. “These tragedies can happen without cause. I understand you’re in pain, but you have a young one to think about.” He looked back at the corner of his eye, allowing the silence sink in between them. “A young one…” He turned around; his eyes fell upon his sleeping child. “If she were to stay here, she’ll follow her mother’s dangerous path. She’s cursed already, with these damned voices.”
The old woman stared at him, concern bright in her grayed eyes. “What do you mean?” He glanced towards her, but only for a moment, his wounded heart messily gathering his decision. “No, I won’t let her. Those demons killed my ancestors, took my wife away, they won’t have my child!” The midwife stumbled before him, placing herself between him and Eden. “I’m sorry, Mr. Inbar, but I can’t allow you to take her in the state you’re—“ The Ancient shoved her aside, causing the woman to stagger back towards the bed. Cassiel stepped towards the baby, gently sliding the carrier over him so the baby rested snug against his chest. He carefully supported her head and hurried off from the room. “Stop!” The midwife cried out, but he continued on, determined to save his daughter from the voices of the LifeStream and their manipulations. Surprised squawks rang out from the nearby stable before a chocobo burst from its stall, carrying the wayward Ancient and his child into the wilds.

Jewelry for Darkest Academia
Jewelry for Darkest Academia:
I feel like you can do bolder jewelry for darkest academia. As it is more Victorian, and Edwardian inspired, I don't know that dog collars are the best fit, but wear what you want. A dog collar with a beautiful cameo on it could be lovely, for example.
Alchemy Gothic is good, as they do a lot of romantic themes.
You can also try Real Metal; I have a black cat cameo necklace and earrings that I just love. It was originally advertised as being for Gothic Lolita, but I think there is a lot of crossover here.
Another option is Trilogy, though their jewelry is more tribal-inspired in nature. I have a trinity knot pendant with skulls in the corners of the knot.
I will update as I find more options.

VALORANT: SKYE BUILDING BLOCKS
SOURCE -SIGNS AND SEMIOTICS
Valorant is the game that I have been playing continuously for the past 3 years. "Valorant" is a first-person tactical shooter developed and published by Riot Games released in 2020, Valorant quickly gained attention for its strategic gameplay, unique character abilities, and focus on precise gunplay reminiscent of classic tactical shooters.
Every 3 to 6 months, valorant keeps adding new agents to this roster, which always makes me curious to know about the background stories of those new agents. Because the stories of every new agent are interconnected to the valorant main story timeline. With his commanding presence, SKYE piqued my interest. I desired to delve further, into her existence after watching the trailer in September 2020. From where did she get her name? What was its origin? What secret codes did the colors and symbols that characterized him represent? I decided to investigate more closely using semiotics, looking at the signals and symbols that comprise his personality.
Tumblr media
ABOUT THE SKYE
Originating from Australia, Skye leads her group of creatures across dangerous terrain. The squad is strongest and safest while Skye is leading it, as her inventions hinder the adversary and she can heal others.
Personality
According to the storyline, she has admitted that she was unaccustomed to working with others before joining VALORANT. Still, she has already demonstrated that she is an excellent team player by leading and reminding her teammates to move as a cohesive unit and cooperate to accomplish their goals. Skye is naturally perceptive, taking note of anything strange in her surroundings as soon as she does. This is due to her inclination to feel and sense the natural world and everything around her.
Appearance
Skye can be seen donning a green tank top over a vest of body armor, gloves, earrings in both ears and a green headband. She is dressed in boots, long cargo trousers with kneepads, a utility belt, and a pouch on her left leg. In addition, she has two leaf pendants hanging from her beaded necklace, which contrasts with her green, natural-themed outfit. Skye conceals her left forearm with a sleeve and has multiple scars on her right arm. She also has a lot of muscle, probably from living in the wild and being tough.
Academic Standpoint
Charles Sanders Peirce in his study “3 Key Typologies of Signs” mentions about three modes of Signification. (Charles,1839-1914)
Symbolic: The signifier is traditional and arbitrary. Example -This Classified relationship between a person and his or her name.
Iconic: Like or mimic the signified is what the signifier does. Example – The relationship between an advertisement for a car on sale and the real car.
Indexical: signifier and object are somehow directly related. Example- The relationship between the origin of a game character and the abilities or power they have are related to that origin or atmosphere.
Fiske in his study, "Introduction to Communication Studies", mentions that media is not always a direct connection. There may be some uncovering hidden meanings.
Fiske divides media understanding into two categories-
Connotation- This Shows Deeper perceptions and connections connected to a sign. (Fiske,1982:91)
Denotation- This shows direct associations with the sign. (Fiske,1982:91)
To decrypt the character, I am going to use those studies. To keep it comprehendible I am going to take SKYE from Valorant.
Semiotics & Sign in Character Design.
Name – Skye

The Abilities of Skye
Tumblr media
REGROWTH-
Skye first ability is Regrowth. It is a feature in which she can heal other players. It is represented by a leaf sign.
Leaf has historical uses in traditional medicine.
TRAILBLAZER-
With the use of this power, Skye is able to call forth a controllable Tasmanian tiger that will scuttle ahead and hit any foes in its path when given the order. The Tasmanian tiger held cultural significance among the Aboriginal Tasmanians in Australia.
Using the Tasmanian Tiger as a trailblazer refers to the connection of Skye and natural habitats.
GUIDING LIGHT-
Skye uses a hawk she can manipulate to soar over the map, revealing and blinding any adversaries in its path of vision.
As raptors, hawks hold great cultural and symbolic significance for many indigenous Australian tribes. These birds' skill at hunting, their acute vision, and their flying talents have earned them respect and admiration.
Overall Representation
Skye is an amazing representation showing the connections between her origins, abilities, and symbolic representation through the colors and symbols. Her persona reflects an amalgamation of Australian tribal roots and a fierce protector of the environment. The chosen color palette symbolizes this union, signifying her affinity with the natural world. Each ability, from the healing represented by the leaf to the Tasmanian tiger as a trailblazer and the hawk's guidance, mirrors Skye's deep-rooted connection with her homeland's culture and wildlife. Through semiotics and Peirce's typologies of signs, the developers intricately weave Skye's narrative, seamlessly integrating her abilities, appearance, and backstory to create a character that embodies the spirit of nature's defender and team leader within the Valorant universe.
Tumblr media
Conclusion -
Skye in Valorant, an embodiment of Australia's tribal essence, stands as a guardian of nature, intertwined with her surroundings. Her color palette reflects a deep connection to the natural world, while abilities like healing through the leaf, the Tasmanian tiger as a trailblazer, and the hawk's guidance echo her cultural ties. Through semiotics, Skye's design intricately weaves her backstory, abilities, appearance, and heritage, showcasing a profound bond between humanity and nature. Within Valorant, she epitomizes a nature-driven leader, defending her homeland while guiding her team, portraying a captivating narrative crafted through meticulous attention to detail and rich symbolism.
