40 Of The Best Quotes From My Favorite Murder
I’ve been a huge fan of the true-crime/comedy podcast, My Favorite Murder, ever since I began listening to it this past summer. The hosts, Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark, share their favorite murders and true crime stories while discussing what’s going in their lives in the form of comedic banter to lighten the heavy mood that talking about murder can bring.
If you aren’t familiar with My Favorite Murder (Also abbreviated as MFM), the podcast spun a community of fans and we refer to ourselves as “Murderinos.” Since the debut of MFM in January 2016, the ladies of MFM have said some quotes that are a combination of inspiring, humorous and uplifting, especially for women. I went to their live show in Detroit and it was incredible. Karen and Georgia are amazing human beings; I met them and they are some of the nicest people I have ever met in my life.
Here are 40 of the wisest and comical quotes from MFM obtained from the official “My Favorite Murder” Facebook group and Pinterest.

When I first started reading this novel, @emmasbookishcorner told me I was in for a treat and she was absolutely right. You know when you’re loving a book so much that you slow down your reading pace so you can savour it a bit more? That was Triflers for me and although it was bittersweet when it ended l’ll always have it on my favourites shelf to re-visit in the future. Triflers Need Not Apply takes its story from an actual woman who lived in Chicago in the 1900’s (Belle Gunness) and went on a murdering rampage to pay men back for all they have taken from her. Beginning with her husband Mads, Bella Sorensen gets a taste for violence and deception, especially against men. Her older sister, Nellie, recoils in horror as she begins to realise what Bella is doing and realises that she might not be able to stop punishing men in the worst way possible. I loved that we got to see Bella from the very beginning in her childhood, before America and taking the name Bella, she was a young girl in Norway called Brynhild who grows up in a difficult household with a tyrant for a father. When a relationship with a young man leads to tragedy, she is determined to escape her circumstances and join her older sister in America, chasing the American dream. This novel is a gripping and captivating account of how in the right (or should that be wrong?) circumstances, an individual can be pushed over the edge and commit monstrous crimes. Bella is obviously an extreme example as she is compelled to murder again and again. I found her both fascinating and terrifying in equal measure and I think Camilla Bruce has done an incredible job of capturing her character. Of course, Bella is a horrendous woman but she is so very readable! I was completely under the authors spell and I can’t wait to see what she does next.
