#trile and error

Here I tried to create accurate marigolds using a technique I saw on Pinterest and thought I’d give a go before putting them on the final dress.

I first had to draw the template and based on the different sizes I want them to be,then give draw as many half a circle all around. Once the template was completed,I could then start cutting it on fabric in the same shape. I then cut 6 same shapes and fold 4 pieces in quarters and sew them on a piece of scrap fabric in the middle all four pieces.My last step was to fold the other last two in four and cut the ends off and use the hot glue gun and stuck it in the middle.

This was the following step after completing all my 7 print ideas as i had to further think about my final print before using the print screen.

I had to think of as many varieties and ways to place each print by making one. This might include two prints to make one as it would look more interesting and filled with details. This was one idea i had in mind by using two different prints and being clever with the layout to see if it would work this way. Personally i lobe the idea of the design print but i wouldn't see this as my final print for it to be printed out on the screen.

Final found set of illustration designs as these are different. These are combined designs as I didn’t know this would work. I didn’t want to combine the traditions but to make them stand out together to create something unique. With all the prints and samples I focused on.

Another few samples to cover the other designs to see how o would be constructed them if It was to be one of these designs and how it would work after all.

Here I wanted to experiment with media before deciding exactly how I want my final dress to look like, including the small embroidery and flowers on the dress.

Also,I had to think carefully about the theme and if this would work with the colour match with Mexico and China style

This was a trile and error mini sample I thought of trying out using this technique I used from Pinterest. I thought I would give this a go as it shows development and experimentation.

Overall I think this was not much of an affective technique as this didn’t really work for me and the outcome came out differently with the shape to form a blossom flower.

I think I the future I might give this another try as it could work next time I do this.

I wanted to try different techniques such as adding 3D shapes and volume to see how it would look if I was to take this technique and idea forward in my final 10 designs.I looked and planned out first where I could place it before adding all the pieces of materials on as an idea for this look.
