I have unpacked the last boxes from the move! They were books I hadn't seen in years. I have a cozy couch and a relatively consistent work schedule for the near future. Will the star gods let me write now? Maybe? MAYBE?

I'm coming to realize how vital it is to keep a running list of shit you did in the past few weeks so that you can participate in small talk. It's literally not anything to do with them being interesting at all it's just having Something to say to give people even the barest thing to hold on to. It's so you don't get into the "what have you been up to" "nothing much what about you" "yeah same" trap. Literally just say something.

What have you been up to? Um well it's getting warmer so I've been having to brush my cat every day.

Like no it's not that interesting of a thing to say. But now they can respond to it. They could say, man yeah it really is heating up, I've been trying to think of things to do inside more often. Or, oh you have a cat? What's their name?

Like. It's Something. All you need is Something. And if you're like me and your brain immediately goes blank upon entering small talk then keeping a list will help you remember things to say.

Watching Star Wars in chronological order is so funny.

I appreciate that my mom is trying to help, but it seems I can’t handle questions or commentary in any form. Not just from my mom. I absolutely dread the questions and commentary that comes with being alive. I lived with my aunt for two years after college, and every single time I left the house felt like an interrogation. I didn’t go out often but do you understand how exhausting it is to be interrogated so often? Never mind that she never gave her nephew that also lived with us a second look.

It’s not like I’m ever doing anything questionable. The whole process of executive disfunction is just already so fucking exhausting. Attempting to order my thoughts enough to make even the tiniest decision, more often than not getting too frustrated and choosing something blindly just to have the decision made, gathering enough motivation to even start acting on said decision, never mind completely following through. Like how am I supposed to explain something to someone when I can’t even explain it to myself.

Now I know what you’re thinking: I don’t have to explain myself to anyone, but to that I say: do you even understand how ADHD works? Even if I completely ignore the commentary it will be on my mind all day long. And if I open my mouth - forget it - that’s a direct line to info dumping literally everything that is currently taking up space in my brain. So even the prospect of simply ignoring the questions and commentary is daunting. If I can’t filter myself, how am I supposed to filter outside input?

Now take this whole fiasco and apply it to literally ever fucking move I make. What I eat for breakfast, the jigsaw puzzle I’m hyperfixating on, not wanting to go on a walk, why I woke up late, why I haven’t made progress on anything that I so desperately need or want to do. I can only explain how the executive function or lack thereof is currently affecting my ability to function as human so many times.

All I’m saying is there’s a reason I’ve worn the same outfit every day for like 16 years.

when u go to write a mentally ill person in ur story you are presented two options. the first option is to write your mental illness realistically as you actually experience it with all the ups and downs and people who are like you will resonate with it and feel seen. except every person who reads instagram infographics on mental health that uses the phrase narcicisst for anyone who does anything that crosses them and unironically call themself a dark empath will call you scary and tell you that youre demonizing mentally ill people

Not telling y'all that you should be able to identify AI slop (but it is a valuable skill, you totes should), but if you're to be accusing artists of being AI left and right at least go and do your homework, or at least do the bare minimum and use AI identification tools like Hive Moderation, so you 1- don't ruin someone's lifehood 2- don't make a clown out of yourself maybe

Like, i get it, AI slop and "AI artists" pretending to be genuine is getting harder and harder to identify, but just accusing someone out of the blue and calling it a day doesn't make it any better.

The AI clowns shifted to styles that have less "tells" and the AI arts are becoming better. Yeah, it sucks ass.

They're also integrating them with memes, so you chuckle and share, like those knights with pink backgrounds, some cool frog and a funny one liner, so you get used to their aesthetic.

This is an art from the new coming set Final Fantasy for MtG. This is someone on Reddit accusing someone of using AI. From what i can tell, and i fucking hate AI, there is NO AI used on this image.

As far as i can tell and as far as any tool i've used, the Artist didn't use AI. which leads to the next one:

they accused the artist of this one of using Ai. the name of this artist is Nestor Ossandon.

He as already been FALSELY ACCUSED of using AI, because he drew a HAND THAT LOOKED A LITTLE WEIRD, which caused a statement from D&D Beyond, confirming that no AI has been used.

Not to repeat mysef, they're accusing the art above, that is by Nestor, to have used Ai.

REAL artists are not machines. And just like the AI slop, we are not perfect and we make mistakes. The hands we draw have wonky fingers sometimes. The folds we draw are weird. But we are REAL. We are real people. And hey, some of our "mistakes" sometimes are CHOICES. Artistic choices are a thing yo.

If you're to accuse someone of using Ai, i know it's getting hard to identify. But come on. At least do your due diligence.
