Getting out of bed on a free day can be one of life's biggest challenges when you're dating Vere Touchstarved. The Clingerrr. One time he almost hisses as you try to leave and you're like Wow

In general I think Vere likes when your attention is on him. In an established relationship, you've gone through the main mess of attachment and trust issues, violence, etc. and he's very confident in your relationship and feelings. And yet. He still prefers when your eyes are on him, and in big events, if he wants your attention away from your friends and acquaintances... well!

Hrm. At the start, I imagine him going through this dip where that last point is. a super prominent Thing going on, and you're like ...? before he goes back to his usual independence.

If you go on a long trip without him, he can handle himself, but he is affected by it more than he'll admit to other people. Guy who likes playing it cool...

Surprise escape room date where Vere is suddenly the biggest threat in the room because why would you do that. You want him to. solve Multiple Puzzles? You have his company for the afternoon and You Do This? I DO THINK. Hm. You could convince him to lock in but it'll take a lot of promises. He keeps messing with you even then though. Of course. Also if it's one of the horror rooms he may or may not almost attack one of the scare actors

Asking Vere to draw things for you... He's so. You're like Don't spend long on this please and he does anyway because he's not one to half-ass anything especially if it's for you Hello?? "Do you think you could doodle this character I'm creating so I can envision them better" And he gives you a bust, full body, outfit options like oh okay hello Hello???

Intimate baths... Vere fully relaxed and you're just enjoying each other's company... Him laying between your legs or vice versa... Bubbling and foaming up his hair and making silly shapes... Exactly

Nips you when you're annoying him. LOL. Squishing his cheeks and he turns to bite your thumb. Messing with his hair while his head is in your lap and he nips your thigh or turns for your hand. Suggestive I guess but he does it while trailing kisses down from your jaw. A favourite thing to do!

Vere gets.. opinionated.. when it comes to home decor and furniture. His taste is good! It's just... you know... if yours clashes, this Ikea trip will be a test. He'll barely, if at all, help build it when you get home so you'll have needed to plan for this by calling in back-up. He'd rather offer refreshments while you're all at the peak of suffering because you can't find a screw and the parts won't sit flat against each other and

If you fall asleep on him, he Will glare at anyone who comes by and might wake you. He's very gentle with his touches, and if you could see the fond affection on his face sometimes... wow.

I think I said this in an old post but Vere falling asleep on you is soo important to me actually because he's open and vulnerable but he trusts you completely.

Big fan of those teasing condescending (??) pet names like hellooo "sweetheart." This mostly pops up when he's fucking with you but oh my goodness a sincere "sweetheart" when you go to him for comfort or catch him in a good mood... Icna'tb icantpelase

It's very important to me to imagine Vere coming to you for comfort... It's very obvious at this point when he's putting up a front or hiding something... Depending on how bad, you might wait for him to broach the topic first, playing along with his distractions. Has anyone imagined Vere crying. lol. How does that match with your beliefs surrounding Edelgardand critism? Adding to that, how does Bernadetta and Linhardt A support fit into it?

Okay so, I think a lot of this is diving into politics within the regime she's created. A lot of my comments about her struggling to take criticism were feeding into when she takes criticism towards herself or her ideals (specifically the war and the change of regime and uniting the whole of Fódlan). I think she's much more willing to accept notes and ideas and criticisms surrounding political ideas within her regime because I think she's aware of the fact that she's not entirely sure what she's doing and she does need help to build the world she's looking for.

Also, most of these are A supports and all of them are post-ts. I think she most likely would have gotten to a point by then that she could take some more criticism and be able to have her views challenged without being sent spiralling. By this point, she has matured, and the war is coming to an end, and she can start properly envisioning the world she wants to create and it's mellowed her out.

I still think she finds it very hard to take criticism, and in Ferdinand and Edelgard's A support, Ferdinand is not as critical and argumentative as he often can be. In her B-support with Manuela, Manuela is very calm when explaining her thought process to Edelgard. I think Edelgard can want criticism and try very hard (as she gets older) to not internalise it and actually use it to improve her plans and their futures BUT find it hard to take at the same time.

And like in Edelgard and Caspar's A support- I think both things can be true at once. She admits to mistakes that she thinks she's made, and that's good, but there's also an aspect of what happens when she doesn't believe she's made a mistake but actually has. She also internalises those mistakes very deeply and I do think she still initially lashes out at people who point out those mistakes

Hubert and Monica's A-support in three hopes:

Here she does both. She internalises a piece of criticism (that admittedly was very harsh) and lashes out at Monica for it and then deeply regrets it. Hubert also has many interactions with her that end like this and I fully expect those ones have a lot more to do with Hubert questioning political decisions within both the war and their futures.

As for Linhardt and Bernie's A-support, I'm not entirely sure what you're asking but:

At the end of their support, Linhardt is praising Bernadetta rather than consoling her. Bernie responds very well to praise. Also, fundamentally, I don't think she's a character who massive tips one way or another when she's being consoled or criticised. She enjoys being consoled, but in the long run, she prefers to be criticised because she gets something out of it. As long as she's criticised gently and given time to not feel like a complete failure, she'll get a lot more out of it than if she's consoled and comforted for her mistakes.

I hope this makes sense. A lot of my initial analysis was based just within the classroom and the fundamentals of their personality and how they would react when they've failed to understand something. Whether they would feel like a piece of themselves had been attacked, and if so, whether they would be able to take it and break that feeling down into something useful or not.

Dandadan Episode 1 Review - Ghosts Vs Aliens

October is considered the spooky season, so Dandadan is perfect for the vibes. It’s a good mix of comedy and horror that you don’t get too often in anime. The animation quality was super unique and I really like what was presented!

The story is about two people named Momo Ayase and Ken Takakura, commonly known as Okarun. Momo is a girl who likes guys like her celebrity crush Ken Takakura (an olden day Japanese actor, sort of like Clint Eastwood), but she has a good heart when she defends Okarun from bullies in his class. However, Okarun believed she likes occult things like UFOs and extraterrestrial phenomena. While Momo does believe in the occult, she doesn’t believe in aliens but in ghosts. However, Okarun doesn’t believe in ghosts, so the two decide to challenge the other to see which supernatural existence actually exists by going to occult hotspots. Little do they know that both exist.

The premiere was super quirky in the sense that we get character building first from Momo and Okarun and then all the action and supernatural stuff happens at the end. I like that, honestly! It’s nice to learn who these two are. Momo has extremely high standards in men due to her ideal type being her celeb crush, but still has a good heart in that she defends Okarun and also hates people insulting her grandmother. Okarun may seem meek, but he does come around at the end saying that he wants to protect Momo as she was the one who stood up for him when no one else did.

Now for the action and supernatural part…that was crazy. Man, it’s nice to see a supernatural show where both ghosts and aliens exist. I feel like this story is one where they explore the existence of other paranormal creatures and not stick to a specific type. I like that! Though, it was sort of scary seeing these creatures move around! The Turbo Granny was by far the scene-stealer. Who’d ever think that you’d actually meet a lewd granny in a tunnel saying that she’d let you suck her t*ts in exchange for your balls. Then, there are very creepy aliens wanting to r*pe females because their species cannot reproduce. They even have a grotesque form underneath their default form. However, it was interesting that the person who believed in aliens got entangled with the ghost and the person who doesn’t believe in aliens got entangled with them.

I really like the animation! It’s really floppy in the sense that the characters are always moving around. I haven’t really watched a Science Saru anime, but if this is what they produce, I should reconsider and start watching more of their stuff. Even for mundane stuff like Momo walking towards Okarun is fluid in movement. The action scenes were also well animated in that it goes really fast. This anime feels like a roller coaster in a sense in that it slows in the beginning and then goes fast after a certain point. If the premiere is this good, I do wonder what will transpire for the rest of the show.

I love the music! The OST was amazing and I loved the opening! Creepy Nuts had a hit song with the Mashle opening in Winter, but I think they hit another home run. The song for this show is a lot different from the Mashle dance, but it’s really good and hits the vibes of the show! My favorite part is Momo doing the shimmy with Okarun and another guy doing the Carlton in the back. The ending song is good too! Though, I do wonder who that cat is…

The voice acting cast was really good! Like I mentioned in my Blue Box review that Jump title animes usually cast new faces for their animes at times, but like Demon Slayer, Dandadan uses a plethora of big names for their production. The only “new face” in the cast list is Shion Wakayama. Well, I wouldn’t call her a new face, but more of a rising star in the sense that I’ve seen her in other stuff before this. I usually associate with her with soft-spoken girls because of her roles in The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses and Pokemon Paldean Winds where she played characters who are reserved. This is the first time I’ve seen her with a more ‘boyish’ and talkative role. I actually like this voice she’s using for Momo! It feels natural and there’s so much emotion. Natsuki Hanae voices Okarun. Given his track record, Hane never has a bad role. I honestly think this role is perfect for him because of the amount of screaming. If you watch Demon Slayer and seen how many times Tanjiro screams, then you know Okarun is perfect for Hanae.

There are super big names in this anime too. The one role that shocked me the most was Mayumi Tanaka as Turbo Granny. The one and only Mayumi Tanaka is known for her roles as Krillin from Dragon Ball and Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece. Yes, Turbo Granny and Luffy are voiced by the same person. I remembered an episode where Luffy didn’t want to give his balls to the Amazoness Tribe and now Tanaka is playing a granny ghost that bites others’ balls. Luffy would be shocked to see this like how he was shocked with how Robin got Franky to join the Strawhats. The aliens Momo encounter are all voiced by Kazuya Nakai. If you’re a One Piece fan, he’s the fan-favorite Roronoa Zoro. Yes. It’s hilarious how Luffy and Zoro are playing roles completely different from their One Piece roles and even their usual roles! It’s really nice to see that even at the prime of their career, they try new things! Another surprise was Nana Mizuki as Momo’s grandmother. Another One Piece voice actress in this anime! Mizuki voiced Hiyori from the Wano arc. Momo’s grandma isn’t seen much, so I can’t wait to see what sort of person she is later on.

The English dub cast is crazy too! Momo and Okarun are voiced by Abby Trott and AJ Beckles, who are both good rising stars in the English dubbing world. However, the name that shocked me the most was Kari Wahlgren as Momo’s grandma. Wahlgren is a union voice actress, meaning that she doesn’t appear in anime all that often nowadays with the last time I’ve heard her in anime was in Durarara as Celty. It’s crazy how she made her big anime comeback in a big show like this! If you like English dub, then this is one you shouldn’t miss out on!

I honestly can’t wait for what happens next. Will Okarun get his balls back? The fact that the plot progression is due to his missing balls is funny in itself. I hope he can get them back… If Momo has psychic powers, what will Okarun have? I want to know! What are your thoughts about the premiere?

In an interview with Euronews, former Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė said that Russia remains a constant threat to Europe under Vladimir Putin and called for greater investment in the defence industry.

Former Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė said her country will continue to be a responsible partner for the European Union and Ukraine, if the centre-left manages to form a new government.

"There is a strong likelihood that Lithuania will now have a centre-left government. But from a foreign policy perspective, I don’t foresee any serious changes," she said in an interview with Euronews.

"It will be a continuation of responsible actions toward our partners, with a pro-European, pro-NATO, and pro-Ukrainian stance. In this regard, Lithuania will remain a strong partner for the European Union and our allies."

In the first round of Lithuania's legislative elections, with 90% of votes counted, the centre-left Social Democratic Party (LSDP) is in the lead, followed by Prime Minister Ingrida Simonyte's center-right Homeland Union – Christian Democrats (TS-LKD).

The runoff vote is scheduled for 27 October, when the majority of single-member constituencies will vote to choose between the two leading candidates.

Internal security remains a key issue in Lithuania's elections as the country lies on NATO and the European Union’s eastern flank.

The former head of state argued that a peace deal in Ukraine allowing Russia to maintain occupied territories, as Russian President Vladimir Putin wishes, would only give Moscow time to gear up for new aggression against neighbouring countries, including the Baltic States and beyond.

"If we in the West and NATO allow Ukraine to yield and make this kind of compromise, it will mean the West has failed to stand up to the terrorist state at our borders. This would also mean giving Russia time to prepare for its next round of aggression against its neighbours. And it wouldn’t necessarily be the Baltic states — it could also be Moldova, or even Georgia," said Grybauskaitė.

The former European commissioner believes that the Russian president will continue to pose a threat to all of Europe as long as he remains in power.

"Putin’s Russia today is a dangerous neighbour. It’s not just Russia — it’s Putin’s Russia," she said.

"Mainly because Putin has started an open war against his neighbours, and there is no turning back for him. Until his end, he will remain in a war-like state of mind, making him a constant threat to the European Union and its neighbours," Grybauskaitė explained.

'Europe must rapidly invest in defence industry'

The former Lithuanian president also believes that the US elections will have an impact on relations with Russia and pose new challenges for the European Union, regardless of the outcome on 5 November.

"With the potential election of Kamala Harris, these challenges will encourage Europe to take on more defence responsibilities and become more self-reliant. If Donald Trump wins, the challenges will be so vast that there won’t be time to discuss and reflect — only to make decisions. From this perspective, Europe must adopt a serious stance to rapidly invest in the defence industry, build military capabilities, and streamline decision-making. There will be no time for debate. Putin won’t give us time to discuss," she stressed.

Dalia Grybauskaitė was in Portugal for the Estoril Conferences, where she participated in a panel on diplomacy and international cooperation on Friday, alongside former Mongolian President Elbegdorj Tsakhia and former Tunisian Prime Minister Mehdi Jomaa.

C’mon.” Joel’s movement forces you backward until the base of your spine hits the edge of the vanity table in the room. You wince at the impact and the sound of the door slamming shut, and then he’s bracing both of his hands on either side of your hips, caging you in. Joel’s hot breath ghosts against your face as his eyes seem to glow a fiery shade you’ve never seen before. “Say it again.” You swallow hard, nervous eyes flitting around his face, unsure of the safest place to land, or if there even is one. “Called you a coward…” you admit softly, voice trembling. “Yeah? I’m a fuckin’ coward? What else, hm? Why don’t you use your big girl words and say to my face what you really wanted to say about me out there instead o’ that bullshit lil’ poem you wrote.” He’s just being mean now, lashing out because you hit him where it hurts. But god fucking dammit, there’s something about the way he’s standing over you, how he’s using his size to intimidate you and how the smell of his cologne mingles with the fading aroma of his last cigarette, that begins to cloud your judgment. You can’t help the way a dampness begins to bloom between your thighs as a result of his demeaning words and close proximity. You figure you don’t have much of a reason to hold anything back anymore, already having pissed him off by threatening his ego twice in one night. “I hate you,” you rasp, which is pretty much what the lyrics of your song boil down to. You do hate him, for saying all the right things and touching you all the right ways to make you think he wanted the two of you to be something, only to throw your naivety in your face, tell you that you’re acting like a child when he’s the one who tried to give up and walk out when something became more complicated than he can handle. “Yeah, I bet you do. Think you can do better than that, though, huh? Sure had plenty to say earlier, don’t get all shy on me now, sweetheart.” He spits the pet name at you like it’s an insult, coated in the venom dripping from his sharp canines. “Fuck you,” you snap, eyes welling up and threatening to spill over despite yourself. Joel spins you around as soon as the words leave your lips, pinning your wrists behind your back with just one of his hands, using the other one to grip your jaw and make you face your own reflection in the vanity mirror. You shut your eyes tightly, not wanting to confront what he’s reduced you to, and he allows you to keep them that way for now.

I want to said that, Shawn and Electra's relationship are a bit rollercoaster but not nearly negative but still can be fix if they want to and luckily Electra want to fix it. The most fancy and hilarious date we have ever got 😂. Thanks to Miss Agnes. Miss Electra request a fancy restaurant date and who gonna said no,right? The date went well, until they both start flirting. That was the time, where Miss Agnes who sit far away from them, came and scold Shawn with her fancy and famous bag. Not just once but twice 😂. -Tourette Syndrome is a neurological disorder, not a mental disorder.

-There is no cure for Tourette Syndrome, and there is currently no drug used to treat it specifically.

-The exact cause of Tourette Syndrome is not fully understood, but is believed to be a combination of genetic and environmental factors.

-Some researchers suggest an imbalance in neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin.

-Tourette Syndrome is believed to result from a dysfunction of the thalamus, basil ganglia and frontal cortex regions of the brain.

-While not life-threatening, severe motor tics like violent head jerking, could lead to accidents and self-injury. Tics are also considered ‘socially inappropriate’, which can lead to bullying, social stigma, and isolation, affecting self esteem and social development. Living with this disorder and its associated challenges can attribute to anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns.

-One in 100 children have some form of Tourette Syndrome or a tic disorder.

-Less than 10 percent of people with TS swear, which is known as coprolalia.

-TS causes people to have tics. Tics are sudden twitches, movements or sounds that they do repeatedly. People with TS cannot stop these tics.

-No two people with TS will have the same tics. Each person with TS is as different as every snowflake.

-More than 86 percent of people with TS also have co-morbid conditions — ADD, ADHD, OCD, anxiety disorders, sensory processing disorder (SPD) and dysgraphia, just to name a few.

-There are two types of tics, motor and vocal. Motor tics are movements of the body, such as blinking, shrugging of shoulders, limb movements, etc. Vocal tics are sounds people make, such as barking, sniffing, throat clearing, random words, etc.

-Tics can be simple or complex. Simple tics involve just a few body parts, such as eye blinking or sniffing. Complex tics involve several parts of the body and can have a set pattern, such as bobbing head while jerking arms, then finishing with a jump.

-Tics wax and wane and can increase and decrease and change throughout a person’s lifetime. Tics a person has an a young child could be different and at a different severity than when they are a teenager.

-Tics usually start around the age of 5 to 10 years old. The first tics are usually motor tics.

-Tics are usually worse during times of stress or excitement. They tend to improve when a person is calm and focused on an activity.

-Even though symptoms can change or appear or disappear, the condition is chronic.

-TS effects males 3 to 5 times more than females.

-A misconception is that people can learn to stop their tics. They can, at times, hold them in (suppression), but eventually have to release them.

-Individuals with TS are aware of an urge to time, similar to that of a sneeze or an itch. They describe it as a build up of tension, pressure or energy. The actual tic is a means of releasing or relieving this tension.

-TS does not affect the intelligence of a person. In fact, most children with TS have above normal to high intelligence levels.

-Children who try to suppress their tics while at school have a hard time focusing on what the teacher is teaching. Suppression of tics is physically exhausting, making it hard for them to live up to their potential at school.

Sweet Creature

Harry said that Sweet Creature is about one person, and that he will never say who, adding if he would never tell them it wasn't about them. I think the protagonist has changed since it was written. It was a closer in the Live on tour set, and often emotional like this time in New York.

It was played once on HSLoveOT at Wembley. Harry talked about Gemma first bringing him to London for xfactor and he’d “like to play a song for her tonight”. He thanked London. So its matured in meaning and he sung it to Gemma, who had a baby 8 months later:

At the Troubadour (at 21:40) on it's launch 19 May 2017, Harry said Sweet Creature was written a few weeks after his birthday 1 February 2016. It was written at the Village in Los Angeles. There is a photo of him at the studio on the 19th February. He also said it was the first song he wrote “for” the album (1:22). Harry said that one song (two ghosts) was written before leaving the band but everything on debut except 3 songs were written between July and December 2016.

Sweet creatures opening melody is similar to Blackbird by the Beatles. Blackbird is a McCartney song, interestingly, Harry was photographed with Ringo at the Clive Davis Grammy party. From I'm Not Happy (possibly the same night) and Pop Tart it might have been the first time they saw each other after the 2015 BBMAs 8 months earlier, 1D had been touring for most of that.

Cry “O sweet creature!” then kiss me hard

‘Sweet Creature’ appears in Shakespeare’s Othello. A tragedy, Othello is newly married to the beautiful (and faithful) Desdemona. The villain, Lago resents Othello and drives him mad by insinuating that the handsome and charismatic Cassio had an affair with Desdemona. Lago tells Othello that he heard Cassio talk in his sleep:

In sleep I heard him say “Sweet Desdemona Let us be wary, let us hide our loves.” And then, sir, would he gripe and wring my hand, Cry “O sweet creature!” then kiss me hard…”

It’s a really interesting reference. On one hand, Harry is singing with genuine affection and fits the imagined role of Cassio. However, as described in Woman Harry was jealous and he’s also the villain, messing with CH, in a laughably effective way.

If the Othello reference holds, Desdemona had also not cheated on Othello. But by 28 February Harry tweeted 'You can shake an apple off an apple tree.' And by April 29 that may have changed (Illicit Affairs / I did something bad).

In out of the Woods and interviews about it Taylor talked about the relationship being tentative and plagued by challenges and poor communication.

Harry did not know where he was going, One Direction was broken up and although he started recording he had not signed a solo record deal.

TS and HS were unable to let each other go for years, often singing about belonging, or eventually being together. Particularly Someday, Satellite, As it Was, The 1 and End Game.

'Two hearts one home' references Hopelessly by Crosby, Stills and Nash hoping on Harry’s Another Man Mix Tape. “They are One Person / They are Two Alone”, Nash was longing for Joni Mitchell, an idol of Taylor’s. This line is often read as referring to Gemma and when played it again in 2023 Harry agreed. However I think it wouldn’t have been dropped from the set if it was about Gemma.

In 2016 though, his 'home' was not a building. In the first 2 minutes of the Fine Line interview with Zane Lowe Harry talks about not feeling at home and feeling lost in his house in London on a 5 day 1D break, and glad when it ended. Taylor was a home of the heart, a part of his world and separate to the band. Woman Exile has more on ‘home’.

The idea of one’s sweetheart being home is in the Notebook, Harry’s favourite movie. Old Noah says it to his kids when they ask him to come home with him, his wife is his home.

‘When I run out of road’ reminds us of the amount of Driving in Haylor songs. But this is referring specifically to Harry’s anxiety going solo and trust/hope that Taylor would be there for him. 7 months later in New Years Day she agreed: “I'll be there if you're the toast of the town, babe, Or if you strike out and you're crawling home”

[Verse 2] Sweet creature Running through the garden Oh, where nothing bothered us But we're still young I always think about you and how we don't speak enough

I think here though the Garden is the beach at Taylors Rhode Island home, (bought when they first dated) where the 1989 and 1989 TV covers and rolling stone beach shoot was. This shoot is referenced in the videos for Style and End Game.

Similar lyrical references are in Cruel Summer (snuck in through the garden gate to seal our fate), Blank Space (Rose Garden filled with thorns) and Betty (In the Garden would you trust me).

Not speaking is also a common theme, best put in Fine Line: "Spreading you open Is the only way of knowing you", and The 1: "And if you wanted me, you really should've showed."

When I say "Louis Tomlinson haunting the Haylor narrative is my favourite genre" I need people to know that I mean it. And I mean it when I say the dude HAUNTS the Haylor narrative, like he's the ghost of Christmas past; there are so many examples of it, but my absolute favourite is the compass, because it's just... So much.

So. H got the ship, right? At the peak of Haylor, when they were the IT couple everybody knew (which. Isn't it ironic that then Mr Styles spent the consequent... 5 years of songwriting? Or something?, talking about a relationship that was mostly secret? And everyone was like "this is about TS"? Anyway).

And the thing is. The thing is. The Haylor narrative had always been hilarious to me bc they truly did The Most. Honestly, no one did as much as those two pr teams combined did to make a relationship believable, and no one did such an AWFUL job (with the exception of hiddleswift, which was more tongue-in-cheek and self-aware anyway) in the history of pr relationships. Their story was so backwards and convoluted it doesn't even sound like they proofread the blurb of the narrative they were going to put out. I'm sure miss Tree is still having nightmares about it twelve years down the line and she wasn't even involved.

And I truly truthfully love how they both embraced it completely. Like, miss swift does her little thing where she'll write a song about someone, and sometimes she'll be very tongue-in-cheek about it, but nowhere she did it as much as she did with Harry, and H was Definitely up for the challenge, considering he named a whole ass track 'Trouble' and the nonsensical mentions of 'thirteen' just for the fun of it.

They had their fun building a narrative from scratch and I love that for them!

Because there is no fucking way IKYWT is for Harry. Like. It's 2024, I hope we all know that song was not for harry and I'm sure HE knew the song had nothing to do with him, but by god did they TRY to convince us of the contrary.

Did it make sense timeline-wise? Absolutely not, even if you try to grasp at straws, but oh, did they try.

Now, I'm sure we all remember the VMAs, highlight of my career, cameras panning to Harry absolutely unbothered, moisturised, clapping and chewing his gum as Miss Swift dedicated the award to the person who inspired the song, all while our homeboy was seething with passive-aggressiveness (dude didn't even clap! Their one-sided feud gives me life). Truly L was one with the larries in being a Haylor anti.

But we're not here to discuss that.

Because at least by then TS and H had broken up and it made some modicum of sense for her to be dedicating a song about a failed relationship to him. I mean, it made no sense to think she had written it with Harry in mind (Red was made while they maybe had seen each other once, not to mention it's famously about another relationship), much less to think she had made the video with him in mind (they were off gallivanting together! Why the fuck would she make a video like that about him). But that's the narrative that was circulating! And the funniest part is: the ship was used as evidence.

I'm sorry if I bring back some unwanted memories, but this is like. My absolute favourite thing. No headline has headlined the way this headline headlined. Notice that the ink was basically still fresh on the lovely boat (six fucking am in the morning, L hadn't even done his yet i think) and they were already putting out feelers so that H's tattoo would be linked to the video, which would link him to the song.

I'm not even saying he couldn't have been influenced by that tattoo (maybe he saw it and thought it was a cool idea), but you do see how "the removable tattoo a guy had for the music video about a sad song my gf wrote" is so far removed from "romantic tattoo idea to remember said gf" it would almost be insulting? They didn't care. They were doing The Absolute Most in pr terms, and it didn't even work!

Because, like a real presence haunting the narrative, Louis Tomlinson got the fucking compass that very same day. He truly was like "did you think this was about his fling with Blondie? Think again!" and that? That is so lovely to me. That is such a good way to haunt and counteract the narrative. Nothing will ever beat that and I'm grateful I got to witness it.
