Hi! I saw your turnabout 4869 au & it's really fun! Peak aa & dcmk energy, esp since your art has the same kind of wacky over the top expressions/vibes that aa & early dcmk have :)
Hope you're doing well!

After a few days of writerâs block, I had the flood gates open last night and typed out over 8k words. đ¤Śđťââď¸ Which then made the chapter far too long even though it wasnât done. So I split it into two chapters.
Read on to get a snippet from the one I just posted. The chapter to follow is going to be packed!
ââââââââ
At exactly 9:00, Lucy heard a knock at her door. Of course, he would be exactly on time, she thought, smiling as she went to the door. Her smile widened as she saw Tim. He was wearing a Henley again, that seemed to be his preferred look, but todayâs was black and long-sleeved. In his hand was a small bouquet of flowers that he extended to her as he said, âGood morning.â
âAww. Thank you,â she said as she gave him a hug and kissed his cheek. âCome in.â She walked into the kitchen to find a vase for the flowers.
As she was trimming the stems of the flowers under the water and putting them in the vase, Tim came up behind her. First, he rubbed her back for just a few seconds; then, he wrapped his arms around her waist and pressed himself to her back.
He whispered in her ear, âI had the most amazing dream last night. There was this super hot woman in my house.â
âOh?â she responded with a smile as she finished arranging the last few flowers in the vase.
âMmm hmm,â he continued. âWe had dinner and danced on my patio and kissed⌠a lot.â He punctuated that statement with a gentle kiss just below her ear. âShe had long, dark, wavy hair,â he said as his twisted a tendril of her hair. âAnd the most soft, creamy skin,â he said while kissing down her neck. Then he swept her hair to the opposite shoulder and kissed along the back of her neck while he said, âShe was so kind and smart and selfless and strong.â Then he kissed her other ear and said, âAnd she listened to everything I said and looked interested, even though Iâm really boring.â
Lucy giggled in response to that and turned her head to face him. She opened her mouth to say something, but Tim silenced her with a gentle, caring kiss on her lips.
âAnd she had the cutest nose,â he said, booping her nose with his. âAnd I got lost in her gorgeous, chocolate-brown eyes,â he said looking deep into her eyes and turning her so that they were facing each other. âI was convinced that it must have been a dream because it was just too good to be trueâŚâ He paused for a moment for dramatic effect. âUntil I got out of the shower and noticed this.â He pulled the collar of his shirt to the side to reveal a small hickey at the base of his neck near his collarbone.
Lucy giggled as she gently touched the little bruise. She looked up at Tim to see if he was really upset at all, but as the first part of the word âsorryâ left her mouth he caught her lips with his.
When they separated a moment later, Tim said, squinting his eyes, âWhat was it you said when you hit my butt yesterday? Turnabout is fair play?â Then he dove back in to kiss the sensitive skin at the base of her neck.
Lucy laughed and then moaned as he found just the right spot. But she pushed him away pretty quickly. âHmmm. Another time. But the dress Iâm wearing tonight definitely does not cover that part of my body, and I donât trust my cover up to hide that all night. I do not need to meet your friends with a hickey on my neck. Yours doesnât show at all because your shirt covers it.â
Tim growled his disapproval but acquiesced.

For the Ace Attorney ask: 3, 4 and 10
[Ace Attorney Asks]
3: Favorite case?
Farewell, My Turnabout. The themes always get me, and I think it's rather fitting design wise. The case is centered two actors and I think it works well to convey this idea that everyone has "a role to play". The sections where the background fade to black and the characters speak directly to the player remind me of plays that have monologue sections that have a similar effect as a way to engage the audience. I think it works incredibly well, since Phoenix was formally a Theaters Arts Major and the case served to solidify his exact role in the judicial system.
It's also really nice for the smaller moments, like Phoenix admitting to himself he relies on Pearl to cry for both of them when they think about the situation Maya's in, and of course the famous "Edgeworth snatched up the bear" moment. I always feel the need to replay it because I always miss this line:
For what it's worth, this case made a big influence in how I read the optional dialogue and think of lines that aren't strictly part of the progression of the story as them ad-libbing, hence some of the really insane ribbing that you see in later games.
I like a lot of cases, but this one just feels really distinct because I do chalk this up as Phoenix's first real loss in court.
4: Least favorite case?
Probably Turnabout Reminiscence (4th case of the first Investigation games). It's mostly due to Edgeworth's developing working dynamic with Gumshoe can come across a little too mean-spirited for my liking. I know in context this is their early meetings so a rocky relationship isn't unusual, but it just kind of felt off in context to the rest of the game.
In terms of frustrating leaps of logic, probably Turnabout Big Top still irritates me, the case and how it works for story telling I can deal with, but suspending my disbelief to buy the idea that once the bust fell the cape Russell Berry was wearing magically float back up and got stuck to the bust as Acro hauls it up? Not as much.
I'm actually willing to forgive Turnabout Serenade since the game warns us (via Phoenix) you'll have to use a lot less conventional means to win this case.
Though, I think it actually wouldn't have taken much to make the case flow smoother by having Apollo point out on the first day of trial that the murder weapon would have had a pretty powerful kickback. So, whoever fired the gun would have had some intense pain since this was heavily emphasized on the first day of investigation. Hell, one of Machi's sprites has him clutching his arm, which could have brought suspicion back to him.
Then, I think there was (probably) some intent to shift the suspicion back to Daryan because of him missing a cue (implied due to him feeling the after effect of the 45 caliber gun on his shoulder), though this was never brought up. But I can see him waving it off as him having an off day and then it'd force Apollo to take Phoenix's advice and approach solving the case from a different angle by unraveling all the mysteries.
10: Best villain and why?
Damon Gant.
He only appears in one case, but there something that gets me as a "what-if" because his intents and sense of justice were in the right place, but he really showed how easily you can "stray off the path" and how it can rapidly spiral before you know it.
Once the truth has been revealed, I always think about his final lines as he laments to the Judge he'll have to cancel their lunch plans. It's just such a powerful moment, how the people running this system aren't some deities, but people.
Also, as a casual horror fan, I always adore how he has such a long and unnerving stare that makes you pause and wonder whether or not your game froze, lmao.
P.S. (boop)

This bit from the âTurnabout Airportâ light novel.
Then beep boop beep... an electronic sound rang out. It was my ringtone.
âHello...?â
I put my phone to my ear and a lively voice leapt from the other end.
âAh, Nick! How ya doing!?â
âEh...â
I was lost for words. I hadn't heard that voice in a while.
âMaya!? Is that you, Maya?â
âThat's right. It's been a while, Nick. You sound like you're doing just fine!â
Her voice is so laid back. Hearing her at such a tense moment helped put my nerves at ease.
Maya â Maya Fey, was once my assistant. Or rather, her official job title was âassistant', but she was so much more than that. When I was still just a novice attorney burning with the passion of youth, Maya was always there to support me. Or rather she dragged me around with ridiculous energy and pushed me from behind when I needed it.
Maya and I resolved a lot of cases together. It's thanks to Maya that I've made it to where I am today as a lawyer. More so than an assistant, I'd rather consider her the ultimate âpartner'.
This was good medicine after missing the dynamic duo that they were in the trilogy when I was playing AA4-6. It just wasnât right without them.

He considers for a moment. "Hmm. I guess you can, but that means I get to poke back."
That said, Cliff reaches over and presses a light little boop just below the bottom point of her crest. Turnabout is fair play, after all.
"Not as bad, she says, as if that isn't an incredibly low bar to clear."
Arcee has a little smirk as she boops Cliff's nose~ ( @coetusmachina )
His faceplates scrunch as he tips his head away from the booping, squinting down at her with an over-exaggerated suspicious expression. "Why do I get the feeling you're up to something?"

"Turnabout is fair play. Three things you always wanted to tell me?"
Well⌠he probably should have expected that. And to be fair, itâs a pretty wide scope. HmmmâŚ
âAlright⌠so⌠first of all, you have a really cute nose. Worthy of many boops. Secondly⌠sometimes Iâm⌠kinda jealous of how much Ignis and Gladio care about you. I mean⌠not that it really matters, because weâre all in this together and stuff, but⌠yeah. And lastlyâŚ?â And here he looks just a little sheepish. âWhen I get scared sometimesâŚ? Youâre the first person I think about.â

boop, new fanfic
(I have not had occasion to say that since January 29, 2016.)
Turnabout
If you ever read that short Eirin x Sagume (eisagu? Are we calling this ship eisagu?) prompt fill I wrote once and went, âWow, this is a cool pairing, but I wish it were longer,â then this is the story for you. Like, literally. Thatâs what it is. I even copied a paragraph or two over.
features:
I feel like Eirin was a bad person during a lot of her time on the moon, and Sagume is, like, objectively a bad person in current canon.
Amoral Assholes In Love wouldnât be a very good story name though
over 90% more Sagume Backstory than the competing Touhou-brand product.
if you want to play a game called Everything Is Sad And Pointless, just stop reading after chapter 5.
(did you know that in many historical contexts, âyouâ was the formal English second-person pronoun, and âthouâ was the informal one? I knew this already because Iâve written Futo before, but it was a pain in the butt keeping it straight here.)
#touhou#eirin yagokoro#sagume kishin#rabbit does fanfiction#eisagu#it's never gonna have a ship name if i don't personally make one
