And all the pieces fall, right into place // Part Two
Tumblr media
So Feyd Rautha is still on my mind, so that’s my second try of writing about him and an Artreides!Reader.
Things are getting warmer between you and Fred rautha, but not smutty yet.
All feedback is welcome <3
English is not my first language
Part One // Part Three
_____________
Na Baron Feyd Rautha x Atreides!Reader
FxM
1,721 words
_______
The new arrivals stride towards you, the procession is so coordinated that the Harkonnens look like a single entity, clad in black leather and gleaming chrome. They have arrived with the Reverend Mother Gaius Helen Mohaim, whom you immediately recognize by her distinctive walk as your mother's former mentor—commands a presence that is both unnerving and awe-inspiring. You’ve never seen your mum look so reverent. Her harsh form contrasts with her surroundings, somehow managing to draw every eye to her, captivating and commanding in equal measure. You strive to be the perfect lady in this spectacle, gently bred and regal. The less you reveal yourself now, the more you hope to elicit reactions from your future husband. But he seems to be following a similar plan, his gaze exhilarating.
Your father's voice, deep and commanding, rings out over the crowd. "Honored Baron, allow me to welcome you. My house is yours. Come in and be welcome!" The words speak of hospitality, but there appears an undercurrent of tension to them.
"Duke, it is an honour. Please allow me to introduce my nephews.“
The Baron's voice seems to rise like soap bubbles from him, the words rolling out of his mouth. His body rotates slightly towards Rabban.
"My nephew Glossu Rabban." Rabban nods silently and bows.
"And my successor, Na Baron Frey Rautha." Feyd's bow is deep; you think you can hear the slight creak of his leather. And that's exactly what irritates you: The gesture is exaggerated and artificial, even for this occasion. In your mind, the question becomes clearer: What is his plan? Tying you to your house through marriage is certainly strategically clever for both sides. But for a purely political union, he wouldn't have to act like this. When he stands up, his eyes rest on his father: "I hope to be worthy of your hospitality." "I have no doubt, Lady Jessica, and I am sure that you have not made the journey in vain. My son Paul Atreides." Paul steps forward and nods. "And my daughter, whose hand Na Baron will soon take in marriage." You curtsy slightly, and the layers of your dress make a cascade of golden-brown waves. The second time you dare to look directly at Na Baron, he stares back with curiosity. With the arrival of the Harkonnens, a new flavour mixes with the lust. It is something heavy, almost oily, which lies on your tongue like a film. The guests are invited into the fortress, and Paul escorts them to their rooms. Lady Jessica indicates that you follow her in the opposite direction. Feyd Rautha takes one look at your wealth and only sees your figure moving further away.
At the official banquet, you sit next to your mother, Na Baron a little further away. While the tension has subsided, you are still on guard. He seems engrossed in a conversation with Gurney and Duncan, while you sit as a silent listener next to your mother, who in turn sits unusually quietly next to your father and the Baron. For a moment, she seems to run her fingers over the side of her neck, betraying her inner tumult. You take her hand to soothe her and bring her back to the here and now. With a few hand gestures, she signals to you, "Guest Library, after the Meal." You nod and turn seriously to watch others. Na Baron seems to be enjoying his conversation, his eyes fully turned to his dialogue partners. His pride from earlier seems to have given way to genuine curiosity, and, however small, a seed of hope rises in you. With a little openness to each other, your union will be based on mutual respect and not just co-existence, which is more than some marriages have. Suddenly, his gaze rests on yours again. And his curiosity changes like the colours of a chameleon into something intense. Without taking his eyes off you, he plunges his knife into the unfortunate steak on his plate, from which a trickle of pink juice oozes out, and runs his tongue over your lips. A shiver runs through you, the innuendo unmistakable. The hope you had just a moment ago gives way to the wish that the distance to Na Baron would be better.
As requested by Lady Jessica, you make your way to the library, and your breath catches when you see Na Baron. She accompanies him to the door but stays outside. As quickly as your feet can carry you, you run around the corner, up a set of steps, and crouch next to a small window that leads to the room. Invisible from them, it offers you the opportunity to observe what is happening. You hear muffled voices first, but then the Reverend Mother speaks up.
"Kneel."
The vibration of the voice permeates, even if it is not directed at you. Realization comes like a wave of cold sweat. The Reverend Mother is talking to the Na Baron. The same dark room full of scrolls, the Reverend Mother's veil, the metal box on the table next to her. Na Baron must prove himself human. You feel a pang in your heart, the memory of the box's blazing flames as fresh as the day you experienced them. But you hear nothing; your betrothed doesn't make a sound. Like a porcelain figurine, he kneels in front of the armchair where the Reverend Mother sits, Gom Jabbar in her hand, mere millimeters from the skin on his neck. Your breathing becomes faster and shallower; with each passing second, the fear inside you gains ground and sinks its claws around your heart. You blink rapidly to shake it off. Someone who you can't even be sure will shape your marriage in the same spirit should at least be human. Before you can finish contemplating the emotions rising in you, the Reverend Mother releases Feyd Rautha.
"So you are human?"
"You doubted me? Even now?" He doesn’t make an effort to conceal his despise towards her. You see his chest heaving and his nostrils flaring. He seems undecided as to whether he will release himself like a tightly coiled spring and go for the woman around the armchair. But he rises and takes quick steps away from the room.
As if pulled by your limbs by a puppet master, you stand up and follow him into the courtyard. The blood rushes in your ears, the memory of your test and the sacred ceremony you have just secretly witnessed have heightened all your perceptions. Feyd Rautha stands with his back to you, his eyes fixed on the sky. You can see his left hand trembling slightly, which he tries to suppress by clenching his fist.
"Do they need the North Star's help to find their chambers, my lord?" You ask, and he turns around instantly. Within a blink of an eye, he moves towards you, stopping just a few centimetres away. You involuntarily back away half a step. "Can I help you find your way back? Should I call a servant?" The question about the test doesn't cross your lips, although it seems to prickle on your lips and all over your skin like an electric charge. His expression becomes even more like a tiger about to pounce.
"You know what just happened," his voice is deep and dark, like syrup. It envelops you, and in your chest, the desire to reach out to him fights with the desire to run away.
"Yes," you say, taking a deep breath. "I'm human, I know it too."
"Then you also know that humans can be the worst monsters."
"When it comes to our families, we all have to do things sometimes."
"Is it something you have to do?"
"This...?"
"This wedding?" He's right in front of you, his smell musky and sweet, a new mélange in this familiar place and something entirely new. There's a hunger in his eyes, but no anger. Before you can get your answer out, he pounces. The adrenaline from both of you pumps through your veins so that everything but his lips disappears from your perception. His tongue is demanding, and as soon as you let it in, he pulls you both into a whirlwind of pleasure. Your hands find his neck, his cheeks, the skin so soft and smooth that you can't get enough of the feeling. A low sound escapes his throat, and his hands move from your waist to the fastening of your dress at the back. At that moment, you want nothing more than to let him have his way, and a small sound leaves your mouth.
"It seems my uncle might underestimated you" he breathes into your ear, his breath like fire on your neck.
"That could be," you say, still out of breath, with strands loosened from your hair. "Then why don't we find now?“
"No." With all the strength you have, you move away from Feyd. "I will tie the ribbon of my life to yours. My life will be yours. But that means it won't happen until the wedding. Not in my parents' courtyard."
„Well, we could relocate to your chambers then“ His voice is laced with desire.
All you manage is shaking your head.
He looks puzzled at first and then a little irritated, his gaze wandering up and down your body, lingering on your red, swollen lips.
"What difference do these couple of days make?" he blurts out.
"It is the difference of respect." Your voice is filled with indignation, trying to recall and embody the composure and pride that is appropriate for a Duke's daughter. "We both know that our destiny is decided for us. It doesn’t mean I have no say in how I get there. Good night, Baron. I expect you'll find your way back on your own," and with these words, you retreat into the building, hoping that your dress hasn't soaked through.
As you assert your resolve to maintain dignity, the connection between you has shifted. Feyd Rautha finds himself in the position of watching you leave for the second time in a day. He will be patient, but when the marriage is finalized, you will pay a high price for his patience. All the more time for him to think about what he can do with you.

please i would like to know more knitting headcanons if you have them. i love the most wholesome cozy headcanons out there
this got SO away from me, I'm so sorry, it started as "here is some needlework-related headcanon" and then I just lost my entire mind and it turned into "here are Scenarios about characters doing crafts". I…wasn't kidding about dedicating large amounts of time thinking about characters making things out of yarn.
it's not quite a fanfic but, uhhh, take it about as seriously as you take my comics, I guess. :') we're all just having fun here!
the closest Grim has gotten to knitting is the time he ate half a skein of yarn because it "looked spicy". (that was not a fun day for Yuu or the Ramshackle bathroom.) the ghosts, meanwhile, have canonically have made clothes for Yuu and Grim and, honestly, they're probably their own little knitting club (and Yuu's self-appointed eccentric granduncles). you know they're loving having an actual person to play dress-up make things for. we shall be well-prepared for any more impromptu Tsunotarou snowstorms.
Riddle, Trey, and Jamil all know the basics of sewing, but don't do any needling beyond mending/darning/general upkeep. they're all annoyingly practical. (Najma is also annoyingly practical, but she's more fashion-forward about it than Jamil. she's probably really into visible mending.)
Ruggie and Epel probably do know how to knit, in addition to those basics, but to them it's more of a utilitarian thing (need a new warm hat for the winter!) than something they do for fun. on that note, I think Epel wouldn't really have a complex about knitting -- partly because it IS a practical skill to have for those Harveston winters, and partly because he would have learned from Marja, and no one would dare imply Marja is anything less than absolutely badass.
meanwhile Ruggie is over here gleefully unravelling Leona's old sweaters so he can make himself a cashmere hat. it'sfreeyarn.jpg
Jack crochets little cozies and accessories for his cactus. he makes seasonal and holiday-themed versions with cute little sewn-on buttons and, you know what, now I need to draw event outfits for a cactus. hold on.
Deuce's mom definitely knits. he might've learned the basics from her when he was little, but never used them until recently, when he's been trying to pick it back up in order to make her a gift. (there's probably a heartwarming story in there about a special scarf or something that she made him that he's trying to replicate for her.) he's been at it for literally months now because he keeps screwing up his math and Riddle has to help him fix it.
Ace doesn't do any needlecraft, and razzed Deuce about it for a while until he found out the reason he was so Determined is because it's for his mom (and also the heartwarming story about the special scarf or whatever). so then he felt kind of guilty, and since he'd rather die than admit it, resolved to just never mention it again. except Deuce is so hilariously inept that not making fun of him is really, really hard. so Ace is just sitting there having a personal crisis every time Deuce whips out his needles and adorable little yarn basket. his life is so difficult. :(
Cater bought an amigurumi kit once when they were The Thing on Magicam. he made a few hedgehogs, took pictures, then gave them away to his friends and hasn't thought about them since. (Riddle was so moved by the gift that he forgot to yell at the first-years for a whole day. his hedgehog has a place of honor on his desk.)
Leona has never touched a needle in his life, and would be insulted if you implied he might enjoy expending a small amount of energy over anything he doesn't have to.
Kalim has touched a needle, once, when he tried to help mend something. he was so atrocious at it that Jamil forbade him from ever touching one again. if he started knitting it would probably give Jamil heart problems.
Azul strikes me as being someone who always has to be doing something. but he also doesn't like the inefficiency of spending so much time and effort without much return (personal satisfaction doesn't count). so I think he doesn't really do any crafting outside of whatever's necessary for whatever bit he's running at the moment…though maybe there's a tasteful stitched sampler or two hanging on a wall in Mostro. just because.
Jade is a little more crafty (ho ho, puns) outside of Schemes. by which I mean he exclusively makes mushroom-related decor and insists on hanging it up in Mostro. (Azul keeps asking him to stop. Jade pretends not to hear.)
Floyd once knit most of a densely-cabled fisherman's sweater in half a day. he got within 200 stitches of finishing before he got bored and never got back to it.
Vil probably, like…spent a week making a pair of cute mitts or something, and was really proud of them! then Neige made the mistake of getting super excited and trying to bond over it, and inadvertently soured Vil on knitting forever.
Rook I genuinely believe is both capable of doing everything, and also actively involved in using those skills at any given time. he could make an offhand remark about how he's been needlefelting tiny petals to stitch together into an elaborate rose-themed bodysuit and I would just be like "yep, that tracks."
he could also mention that he just put the finishing touches on the statue of Neige made out of hair that he keeps in the Hey Arnold-style shrine in his closet, and I would still be like "yep, that tracks".
I don't think Idia knits, but he might have bit of theoretical interest in it because of the relationship between knitting and binary? he probably spent a while trying to figure out if he could somehow make a playable version of Doom on a sweater. (it's magic, so yes. he doesn't want to actually have to make the sweater though.)
Ortho once made a hat and some mittens for Idia. it might be cold when they finally go to the park. :)
Malleus has a tapestry that's been his quick breather project for the last 400 years. he was vexed when he ran out of a color that hasn't been produced since the plant the dye came from went extinct a century ago. >:( the new flosses just aren't the same.
Sebek has tried embroidery in order to feel closer to ~wakasama~ but he doesn't have the patience for it. he's trying, though! his daisies are barely lazy at all these days! (he would probably actually be really good at knitting, since a lot of it is just…following instructions and doing math. since his main point of reference right now is Lilia, he hasn't figured this out.)
Lilia knits poorly and with much gusto. gauge? never heard of her. tension? this is supposed to be a relaxing hobby! it's unclear if he knows how bad he is, or if he's deliberately trying to see how embarrassing he can get before the others stop wearing the things he makes them. (they never will.) either way, he's having fun!
Silver was a self-sufficient little homestead boy by the time he was twelve, so of course he knows all the fun things you can do with wool (fortunately he learned how to knit before Lilia had a chance to ruin him) (idk, a friendly squirrel taught him or something, he's a literal disney princess his life is like that). he has a unique talent for being able to sit there asleep and somehow still spin perfectly consistent yarn.
look, I just want Silver to use a spinning wheel, c'mon
Neige and Silver both make tiny sweaters for orphaned baby animals. Neige's are more skilled (they have colorwork and little seed buttons) but Silver's are softer, since they're made from the wool that his forest bunny friends gather for him and donate to the cause. (Ace heard him mention this once and had to go have another personal crisis over it.)
this also ties into another absolutely unfounded headcanon I have about Silver and Neige being friends with the same bluebird family that alternates island sides for breakfast and dinner. there isn't any more to it, I just think it'd be cute. 🐦
orphan baby animals aside, Neige absolutely 1000% knits and you'll never convince me otherwise. he made that sweater. he made Snick's scarf. if you spend too long around him he'll have already started making you a cardigan in your favorite color. the dwarves don't knit because they don't have to. (wait, no, Timmy probably does -- you never actually see him do it, but every once in a while there's a new aggressively cute potholder added to the collection. Toby has tried, but he is physically incapable of not dropping stitches everywhere and ending up with a sad little pile of yarn.)
Che'nya says he does yarn sculpture, but really he's just batting the yarn balls around and leaving them for someone else to clean up.
Rollo does enormous cross-stitch recreations of illuminated manuscripts on 60-count linen (over one, of course). he will lecture you for two hours on how much he does not enjoy doing it and how that makes him better than you.
Mickey doesn't (I SAID EVERYONE). I'm sure his girlfriend knits though.
Crowley enters stitching competitions at the local fair. his depictions of handsome-looking ravens in top hats do better than you'd think, but he still keeps losing to goddamn Ambrose with his perfect backs and railroaded stitches and no hoop marks and…
resisting the urge to say that Crewel does crewel. failing.
…okay, but look, he does fashion design in canon, it MAKES SENSE --
Trein is a Good Cat Owner, so (after carefully researching durable and pet-safe materials) he crochets little mice with catnip inside. he gets a deep sense of satisfaction at seeing them get torn to shreds. :)
Sam doesn't partake himself, but he does have weirdly intricate knowledge of every potential needlecrafting technique and the associated tools -- which he just so happens to have in stock now!
like Rook, I do believe that Sam just…knows everything, through his "friends" or otherwise. he could start spouting details about the historic production of goldwork thread, and as long as he then offers to sell something to us while shouting gratuitous English, it would feel perfectly in-character.
you wouldn't think Vargas would be into crafting, but he did spend a week painstakingly painting antlers onto a hoodie for his deer cosplay. magic? pah! he didn't get these muscles by NOT smearing craft-store fabric paint everywhere BY HAND.
(this is also why Crewel agreed to wear the…thing…that Vargas made for his turn at being camp monster. he actually spent time and effort on it and the whole idea was giving Crewel his own personal crisis.)
this got so far away from me, I am so, so sorry

give me all ur felix and ollie and cattonquick head-canons plz can be nsft if u wish go crazy
ANON YOU LEFT THIS ASK OVER A MONTH AGO. I AM SO SORRY.
i've been waiting to answer it until i had a good list compiled/until i had a better grasp on their characters, and honestly most of these are fairly vague since i wrote them down before we all started going insane on tumblr and digging deep into their psyches LOL but. here are some of my thoughts that i've jotted down over the past month <3
sfw:
felix is a big ol’ scaredy cat, we see that in the film. oliver finds it so incredibly endearing that this big 6’5 man has to sleep with a night light and is terrified of scary films despite adoring halloween and taking the holiday so seriously. oliver definitely loves picking scary movies on the nights where it’s his turn to choose because he loves feeling like a protector when felix is hiding his face, burying himself in the crook of his arm, clinging to him and gasping at every jumpscare. and even though felix pretends to hate it, he doesn’t actually mind because he likes getting to feel small sometimes, having an excuse to press up against ollie.
felix is a little yapper, i just know it. that mfer does notttt stop talking somedays. if he has a thought, oliver is going to hear it. if he’s bored, he’s going to make it everyone else’s problem. as a little gremlin adhd–er, i lean towards attributing it to untreated adhd, but it's also just such a felix thing. of course oliver finds it endearing, but sometimes it drives him up the absolute wall; luckily for him, there are plenty of ways to shut felix up and/or occupy his mouth instead!
oliver is more of a show than tell person, valuing being able to do acts of service for felix, or to gift him things, make him feel good, happy, whatever. i think it makes sense, since he's more reserved and quiet. felix is more of a tell than show guy, always complimenting and speaking unfiltered and dropping words of affirmation left and right, and they balance each other out in that regard.
PET! NAMES! felix is obsessed with them, he drops them left and right even on friends, and on oliver it’s two fold. darling, sweetheart, angel, bambi, my love, doll, lover, all the classics, and oliver never gets tired of it. oliver is less outspoken/public with his affection, coming back to the show vs tell thing. i think to him, calling felix by his name or shortened versions (fee, lix, etc) is just as intimate as any pet name.
felix draws hearts and little messages with his finger against oliver’s skin when they’re in public, or when they’re just laying in bed at home. oliver likes to try and decipher them, or write ones back.
i know felix drives during the roadtrip scene, but i think in a relationship he would actually be an awful driver and a big passenger princess and oliver wouldn't be picky about music so he'd let him have the aux. felix would love to just lean against the window and stare at oliver or stick his feet on the dashboard/out the window and lay his head on the console even though oliver would hate it so much because "what if we get in an accident, felix??"
felix would love to abuse his size difference and would pick up oliver literally any chance he gets and oliver would pretend to hate it but he'd grow to love it bc it means getting to have physical contact with him <3
felix is terrified of bugs and will literally stand on a stool until oliver deals with them, but oliver hates having to kill them so he takes them outside in a cup. or alternatively, oliver is absolutely terrifying and goes into murder–mode to eliminate the source of whatever is scaring felix.
nsfw:
i think they’re both switches & verses tbh, with how their personalities are they would both enjoy having control but also being able to give up control and do what they’re told.
they both have praise kinks and servicing kinks as per my extensive brainrot and whole one-shot about it lol
felix is a little slutty exhibitionist and oliver is a creeper voyeur (/affectionate). he loves to have felix dress up pretty for him and he’s obsessed with taking pictures of him on felix’s film cameras for his eyes only, wallet photos if you will. and felix loves showing off for him and feeling oliver’s eyes on him like he’s just a piece of meat, like oliver is a predator and he’s prey.
oliver is obsessed with body worship, he loves to spend ages marking felix’s skin and getting him worked up and teasing him until he snaps, all the while acting innocent because “i just wanna show you how pretty you are”. paying attention to each individual body part, leaving kisses everywhere, using body worship as an outlet for his intense obsession and fixation.
both of them are possessive, but they deal with it in different ways. felix’s jealousy is quicker to flare up and he’s more likely to be confrontational about someone hitting on oliver; he has a hard time hiding his jealousy too when oliver is being a little too friendly with someone, getting all pouty and sulky, but oliver is good at talking him down. felix leaves marks all over his neck to make himself feel better, to show everyone that oliver is his, and oliver has no complaints about this. oliver’s possessiveness is quieter, jealousy that bubbles just beneath the surface, sometimes grows borderline–murderous, but he’s never confrontational about it. he sits with it until they’re alone, and then makes sure felix remembers who he belongs to. and at the end of the day, knowing he can make felix, this powerful golden god in his eyes, crumble beneath him is enough to quell any jealousy because he knows no one else will ever see him like he gets to. oliver loves marking him up too, but he loves doing it below the collar, like a secret that only the two of them know.
felix has an oral fixation. obviously. in the film he always has a popsicle or lollipop or cigarette or finger in his mouth; it just makes sense. one of his favourite things ever is when oliver lets him lay his head in his lap and cockwarm him until his jaw is aching while they watch a movie or oliver reads, because having his mouth occupied calms his always restless body and mind, but also he loves the closeness of it. he definitely gets a tongue piercing just to fidget with, but also takes so much joy in the way it effects oliver.
they're both definitely into freak shit, that goes without being said. they both always jump to try new things, always willing to feed into each other's obsessions, to play along with each other's kinks and fixations. i could elaborate enough on their kinks for one whole post about it lbr lmfaoo
i think felix probably gets super clingy and soft spoken and cuddly after sex when he subs and how he loves that oliver makes him feel small and safe afterwards, never feeling judged for opening up in that way. oliver is absolutely such a service bottom and service top, so getting to feed into that when domming is his favourite thing. he knows what felix needs before felix does, and felix trusts him with his life (ha.) he does occasionally tease felix for being a pillow princess, though.
and then vice versa, felix loves being able to help oliver get out of his always-racing overthinking mind when oliver subs, he loves making him feel so cozy and protected and safe in his arms afterwards. he feels so special that ever–reserved oliver trusts him and lets his guard down around him like that, recognizes the vulnerability it takes, and oliver feels so special seeing how much care felix takes with him.
both of them love having their hair played with and they both definitely get off on having it pulled.
i'll do an updated one of these soon, i'm sure! honestly most of these are from maybe the first week or so after i watched saltburn for the first time, and i feel like my view on their characters has evolved a LOT since then and i could go into a lot more detail/more niche tropes, but i have a lot of asks to get back to today so i'll save it for another time. <33

Here to fulfill a need for requests!
Pavitr X male!spiderman! Reader
The reader is new to the spider society and meet pavitr through gwen. The friendship blooms and so do their feelings for one another. At the end they confess and have their first kiss.
Cute right?
Hopefully you get to think but no worries if not! Have a good day!
Thank you so much for the request! I ended up accidentally making the reader more gender neutral but I hope it suits what you were looking for regardless.
Enjoy!

Though you’d met only a few heroes, none really surprised you anymore. They all carried a similar seriousness regardless of their true personalities and most of them hesitated for at least ten minutes before revealing their identities to you.
Except for Gwen’s friend who no sooner landed on the roof and pulled his mask off. “I’m dying,” he complained. “This heatwave is going to end me.”
Gwen laughed. “These suits are awful for the summer. Pav, this is the friend I wanted you to meet.”
Pavitr glanced over at you as though he hadn’t quite realised you were there before but then he smiled, almost stunning you momentarily with how genuine and warm it was. “Hey,” he greeted. “Another spiderman?”
“Something like that,” you agreed though Gwen had kidnapped you on one of your days off.
“Why are you sitting in the sun though?” Pavitr huffed, wincing up at the sky. “At least move to the shade.”
You took him up on the request. Admittedly, you’d been slowly overheating but not wanting to ask Gwen about it yet. The roof didn’t offer much shade beyond a water tower but at least it allowed you to easily find a spot to balance.
Further benefits of having friends who had powers at least meant the laws of physics restricted you less.
“Nobody’s really concerned about their secret identity in this society,” you noted.
Pavitr appeared mildly confused. He looked down at the mask in his hands and shrugged. “Why bother hiding it? Who do you know in my dimension to tell? And even if you do, what’s the worst that could happen?”
Both Gwen and you winced at the familiar words but Pavitr didn’t even notice. He found a spot to rest and tilted his head back, leaning it against one of the legs of the water tower.
A strange fluttering in your chest triggered. You turned your attention away to avoid staring too much; a hidden weakness for people who were ridiculously attractive.
“What’s the plan?” you asked. “We just going to hang out?”
“I’ll give you the tour when the sun stops trying to kill me,” Pavitr said. “Or when something happens?”
Gwen sighed but the familiar smile on her face gave it less weight. “Something will show up. It always does.”
True to her words, the luck of Spiderman never failed to provide a tragedy to break up an otherwise boring day. Your tour of the city came around while chasing after a petty thief who’d somehow built himself a speed enhancer. Honestly, you weren’t paying much attention to him.
Pavitr kept drawing your eyes as he showed off new things in his city. He stopped you so often Gwen grew tired and went on ahead.
For all that effort though, Pavitr remained distracted while securing the thief and ended up taking a solid hit to the jaw for it. You winced when he took his mask off after, not liking how the dark bruise crept up the side of his cheek.
He groaned. “Bro, my aunt is going to kill me when she sees this.”
You laughed and from that day forward, Pavitr’s dimension turned into one of your favourite places to stop over at when you had time. Partially because it was fun but mostly because of the Spiderman guarding the city.
You couldn’t help staring when he excitedly told you about his adventures, couldn’t stop yourself from lingering longer than you should have when the time came to say goodbye. Something about him caught you and refused to let your attention wander anywhere else.
When he asked, you told him you came for the dogs.
It wasn’t until work and responsibilities kept you away for almost two weeks that you realised how much you’d been visiting.
Without being there, you grew uneasy and restless. A strange loneliness hung in your heart without having Pavitr there and you kept wanting to send a message or visit though you didn’t know how welcome it would be.
You were friends.
But it didn’t help you remember when you finished your work and immediately opened a portal to be met with a tight hug.
“Hey! You’re back!” Pavitr wasn’t in his suit, instead dressed in casual clothing that had no right looking so good on him. “It’s been so boring without you here.”
The sudden tackle caused an aching pain through your leg, a reminder of how your work hadn’t run smoothly. You didn’t say anything though, knowing it might end your interaction early.
“It’s great to be back,” you said. “Everything got so busy suddenly but it’s handled now. Did the city survive without me?”
Pavitr grinned. “Yeah, but I nearly didn’t! I was going crazy without somebody to talk to. It’s going to take me ages to catch you up on everything.”
He wasted no time in launching into a recount of the past weeks; walked you through the streets and eventually through an alley so you could swing onto the roofs with ease.
The sun had begun to set as you reached the top. Its golden rays danced through the sky and lit the city in a stunning light. A warm feeling spread in your heart at the familiar sight – more welcome than even your own home now.
“You alright bro?”
You snapped out of your trance to face Pavitr whose stare stuttered your heart.
“I was just thinking how much I missed this place.”
He hummed proudly. “I know, I have the best city in the world. That’s why I hate travelling to other dimensions. They’re so boring.”
You sat on the edge, your face turned to the sun. “It makes me want to stay forever.”
“Why not? It would be way better than you having to go all the time.”
It had been a joke in your mind but that response made you freeze for a second. “It would be less travel,” you said though it sounded strained to your own ears.
Pavitr sat next to you, closer than he usually did and still wearing that easy grin on his face. “Exactly! It makes sense, right? You can stay and pretend you’re not in love with me even more.”
You rolled your eyes. “I’m not in love with you.”
“I don’t believe you.”
He could be teasing you. It felt like a joke in some ways though when you turned to look at him properly, there was a challenge of sorts in his smile. Waiting for your response.
“Awfully arrogant of you,” you said.
He shrugged but leaned closer in, making your breath stop momentarily. “Nope. I just have good eyesight.”
It would take less than a second for you to close the gap. And you really, really wanted to.
He did it for you.
His lips pressed against yours briefly; so quickly you didn’t even realise what had happened at first. The slight flush on his cheeks was your only proof it hadn’t been your imagination.
The silence stretched and then you kissed him back.
He made a soft surprised sound against your lips, one that went straight to your heart. The slow movement brought a lingering taste of chai. The warm press stirred the fluttering of your heart faster still. One of your hands found its way to his jaw, gently cupping it to allow you to lead.
The kiss remained slow. You didn’t need anything more than the heat of his breath as it mingled with your own.
And when you pulled away, you couldn’t hide the stuttering of your breath even if you wanted to. His golden eyes danced as they fell on your lips and he moved back in for one more short peck.
“I’ve been wanting to do that for a very long time,” you admitted. “Since the day I met you.”
He laughed and created a little distance, his shoulder remained against yours. “You should have.”
“Pav, I’d just met you. I think you would find it pretty weird.”
“Nah I’m a chilled guy. I wouldn’t complain if an attractive person kissed me.” He thought about it before conceding. “Though it might be different if it wasn’t you.”
“I’m lucky then,” you said.
The sun sank behind the horizon while you watched, your head falling onto Pavitr’s shoulder.

I'm not going to reblog Neil Gaiman's thing about how S2's episodes "don't have any fat on them" but I DO have some (spoilery) reactions to that below the cut-
OK so I already did another post here where I gave my impressions of the writing- but Gaiman mentioning this actually reminded me of something that I didn't put in there at all but kind of wish I had.
Because honestly, I don't think that the episodes not having any fat on them is a good thing.
Here's the thing- Good Omens, the book and the first season of the TV show, is a bunch of set pieces that loosely come together into a plot. The TV show less so, maybe- there's more of an effort to create a narrative- but fundamentally it's a bunch of ridiculous stuff all strung together to create the Apocalypse. (Like, there's a reason why book fans were so upset when the Four Other Horsemen of the Apocalypse didn't show up in the show- they did literally nothing for the plot but they were absolutely hilarious.)
So far, in the first 2 episodes of S2, I have to agree with Gaiman that there's no fat on them. And I think that's one of the things that kind of threw me. EVERYTHING that has happened thus far has felt like it's something that's probably going to lead to something else, like it's connective tissue for the upcoming story that will presumably make more sense later- and while there's plenty of entertainment and humor and sweetness, it's all to the point. You have to be paying attention, you have to take everything seriously (even if it's something that by rights feels inherently unserious) because it could matter later.
In S1, you didn't have to think too carefully about why a telemarketer is being eaten by maggots or even why there's still a witchfinder in the 21st century (for the show) because fundamentally it doesn't REALLY matter. Something will all come together at the end and in the meantime you can just enjoy it in the spirit in which it's given, which is of course an insane one. Each scene is just fun on its own. (I think this is in some ways truer in the book than the show- there were a lot of these scenes that I don't think worked on the show- but that was more about the execution than the concept.)
The fat in S1 was the good part, really. The plot wasn't all that important- it was all the moments along the way.
The closest thing to fat (to continue to use the metaphor) in S2, so far, is the minisode. It's the only thing where it doesn't necessarily feel like you'll be tested on it later. And it's also easily the best part of those episodes! You can just watch it and take all the ridiculousness for granted because it doesn't really matter. It's there to draw out the characters, it's there to give the world more color, and it's there to entertain.
Not that S2 isn't also there to entertain- it very much is, but it doesn't really have time to. It can be silly and random in the way that the book and S1 are, but instead of those being random throwaway moments (like Newt blacking out all of Dorking in the book- which signifies that his tech-unsavviness may be relevant to the plot later but is really mostly just there to entertain because it's so out-there), they are intrinsically tied into whatever the plot will turn out to be. That's really clear, even though we don't actually know yet exactly what the plot is going to be! The leanness of the plot is immediately evident.
I think, so far, that the main negative consequence is that it makes it so much harder to suspend disbelief. When you have a ridiculous moment in a throwaway scene, that's worldbuilding- it shows that this is the kind of world where ridiculous things happen, and then when a particular ridiculous moment ends up being important to the plot, that's fine because it's part of a whole constellation of ridiculous things in this ridiculous world- they've already deconstructed our sense of disbelief. When all you're getting is plot, when something a bit crazy happens you're like "oh, hang on, that doesn't make sense, that's a bit farfetched."
I think that that's one of the things that, so far, is giving "fanfic vibes" to the first two episodes. Maggie and Nina get locked into the cafe? In their first episode?! When we know that they're going to get together?!?! That's ridiculous. In the book and to a lesser degree S1, where like five other ridiculous things would have already happened that aren't heavily signaled to be important to the plot (Gabriel doesn't count because we know he's important to the plot too), this would just be one more ridiculous thing. In S2, it feels like something we need to suspend disbelief for because we haven't really had it suspended for us yet.
Everything I write about Good Omens here is going to come down to John Finnemore in the end because I can't help myself lol, but honestly, my first thought was "well he's really into plotting, so maybe this is part of that." But- he's also done nine and a bit seasons of a sketch show. While he was writing this he was also writing a season of JFSP (the sublime S9) where there was very minimal plot but everything was propelled by character building sketches, very much in the spirit of Good Omens. He knows exactly the power of random ridiculous moments to build the world and explain its ludicrousness. When him being a writer was announced, I saw so many people say "he's definitely got a bonkers enough brain to do this" except that it turns out that, while true, his bonkers sketch-writing brain doesn't really have a lot to do here.
That, plus the fact that I'd be really surprised from everything that I've heard over the last 2ish years if Gaiman wasn't the first and final voice behind everything written for this season, leads me to the conclusion that the issue might just be that S2 may be, as a group effort, over-plotted for its length. There's little room to breathe and live in the world. There are barely any humans, and as such there's not much time to remember that the story is set in a world where humans matter, which, as I pointed out in my previous post, is something that was really important in Good Omens the book and S1. It just doesn't have any fat.
Now- I should be clear- as I said with the other post, it is way too early to tell if GO2 is good or not, because all of the stuff in E1-2 was clearly building up to other things that haven't happened yet. I actually think S2 probably will be good. The above may not be "issues" per se. But I do think that talking about the original Good Omens like the "fat" is the problem kind of misses the point of why so many people liked it- and leaves GO2 with a pretty big burden to overcome in order to convince viewers that it is a continuation of the same world and same story they loved in S1.

There’s always been something that bothered me about whenever I try to explain the concept of Hatoful Boyfriend and most people’s immediate reaction is “oh! Like Doki Doki!”. My response is always just “…I guess?” because I could never quite explain why that felt wrong to me but I think I finally can put a finger on it now.
(To be clear, I’ve played and enjoyed both games. They’re both fun - this isn’t a criticism at all! I just think they’re, at their cores, two very different things. Also I don’t spoil anything for either game here beyond the obvious; that is, that these games are not what they seem to be at first glance, which I’m pretty sure most people know going in. If that amount of spoiler still bothers you, then stop reading here and play the games first!!!)
When people compare the two games, I 100% understand where they’re coming from. It’s the same gimmick I suppose: cutesy looking or joke visual novel actually turns out to be a smokescreen to hide the horrors within. But. Like. I feel like that’s where the similarities end.
See, DDLC’s whole point is to be shocking. It’s intended to make you jump and disturb you. It’s primarily a horror game with you, the player, as its focal point, and as a result the characters are only really there to be used by the story. The majority of the characters, with the exception of one, are pretty straightforward and lean heavily on the tropes commonly used in dating sims so the game can later distort them in increasingly horrific ways - with the intent of shocking and scaring you. The characters are more tools to be used to tell the story and create the experience than fully fleshed out people, which I think works out well thematically for DDLC. It’s effective in the sense where the characters aren’t really what draws you in, but rather the premise and the anticipation of getting a good scare out of it, with some existential stuff mixed in there for a pretty cool experience. You came to get scared right? Well that’s what you got.
But Hatoful is very different because its intent is not to shock or scare you necessarily. Hatoful, since its initial development, has been designed to make you care. Hato Moa made the game intending for people to start it because of its ridiculous concept, but then to discover it’s depth along the way. Hatoful doesn’t want to jump scare you. It wants to tell you a story. It delves into horror, that’s true, but the horror is much more psychological and it stems from the character’s actions. It’s a character driven story at its core, and it does this by taking itself seriously. It knows it’s completely absurd and leans into the absurdity, but the character interactions are real, so that when actual plot begins to happen, you’ll wonder when you started getting so attached. The characters twist typical dating sim tropes again, but this time to ask “hey why is this character like this? maybe it’s not so straightforward as you think”. And then the game goes a step further and reveals that there is an actual in-universe reason for its insane setup of “a human girl goes to bird school which is for birds and dates pigeons”. Hatoful is less tongue in cheek and more completely unabashed about it’s ridiculous premise and plays it straight - which in turn makes its serious moments shockingly genuine. That, to me, is why it works. The point is to delve into the characters. The plot is driven by the characters. It’s horrifying at times because the characters will sometimes make or be forced to make horrific choices. It’s not a gimmick. It’s a cohesive story. It’s just asking you to dig into it a little further to get there.
Tldr; DDLC is a cutesy facade and Hatoful is unabashedly absurd. DDLC wants to scare you and Hatoful wants you to care. DDLC uses its characters as tools for the experience while Hatoful’s whole point is the characters.
Editing based off a reblog that made me aware I was not completely fair with DDLC here (again, still trying not to spoil too much): The experience in DDLC is heavily based on its thematic content. When I say “the characters serve the experience” and “it wants to scare you” I don’t mean this shallowly, and I think it can and has been frequently misinterpreted in this way. In DDLC, the horror comes from the situation. In that sense, it’s thematically appropriate that the characters are tools in that way - that’s actually part of it and you are meant to feel bad for them - their situations, issues, and personalities are thematically relevant and sympathetic. I shouldn’t have juxtaposed “to scare you” and “to make you care”; that was far too simplistic a summary to the point where it is inaccurate. They both want you to care - a story only has power if you care about it. But I do still feel strongly that DDLC’s draw is the terrifying situation it impresses on the player, and the self-aware questions it asks (in which characters are put through the existential oppressive wringer to emphasize these themes), while Hatoful primarily relies on you slowly but surely acclimating to the absurdity so it can tell what is simultaneously an off the walls story that is also genuine and believable for the characters you’ve grown to know.

“Stick to art.”
Tumblr media
painting together
peaceful silence
Bakugou is actually good at painting
may or may not have based the painting off of one I actually made…
* * *
“For the love of god will you stop hogging all the white paint?”
“Quit whinin’ will ya? I’ll hand it back just give me a sec here.” You in fact did not get the paint back in a few seconds. With the way he’s got it in a death grip you’re not entirely sure it’ll survive the trip back to you.
“Katsuki, your knuckles are literally turning white from how hard you’re squeezing the tube. You don’t even need that much.”
“You know the more you talk the less “enjoyable” this bright idea of yours is.” He places the tube of paint down on the ground next to your knee.
You both are in your dorm room, your usual tarp covering the flooring under you from any stray paint splatters. It was your grand idea to have the both of you paint together. Actually, it was to prove to Bakugou that painting wasn’t as easy as he chucked it up to be. It started with his comments about your art earlier in the week. You were working on another project for class and spent hours painting and refining the details. The boisterous blonde disrupted your thoughts in place of his own. Why the hell’s this taking so long? It’s just an apple, he’d question. To him, a painting should never take more than at least two hours tops. If anything, watching you paint for hours on end was the coolest thing to him because how could someone have that much patience? He’d never admit it though. And now here you both are, having a painting session in your room to prove to him it’s not as easy as he thinks.
Grabbing the now freed white paint you add a small glob of it to your palette, mixing the specific color you needed. You both have already been painting for almost an hour. It’s Saturday and you didn’t have anything better to do. Before you both started, you’d searched Pinterest for painting ideas. Scrolling through various cartoon characters, Bakugou settles on painting a simple white skull against a black background. The reference is such a him choice. You chose yours a little while after him but refused to tell him your idea. He rolled his eyes and started sketching on the small canvas you’d given him, occasionally asking you if his proportions were accurate.
You both had fallen into a quiet peace. The windows drawn to let the last bits of sun in. The soft sounds of your music thrumming through your small speaker. The slosh of water being dirtied up in solo cups as Bakugou cleans his brush. Just all around good vibes and harmless bickering here and there. You swear you’ve never seen him so relaxed, other than the time he fell asleep while you were drawing him. You look up from your canvas and catch a glimpse of Bakugou’s face. Trimmed eyebrows pinched together in a stare of pure concentration, his lips slightly tucked in as he works on the details of the skull.
His painting technique is quite impressive. Understandably not to your level, but if he took art seriously he could be one hell of an artist. The way he changes the pressure of his grip when outlining the teeth of the skull has you eyeing his piece in astonishment. Where the hell did he learn that from?
“You gonna keep starin’ at my shit or are you actually gonna give your input.” Your gaze lifts from his painting to him. You give a slightly confused look.
“Wait what.”
“Asked if I was doing this line stuff right but you looked lost as hell. Told you to leave that dope alone.” You roll your eyes.
“Ya mama. And yeah you’re doing it right. Just don’t make em too thick.” He side eyes you so hard you’re sure his eyes are about to roll out of his head.
“You’re lucky I’m goin’ to therapy.”
“Aren’t we all.” You give a brief chuckle and continue to work on your painting. The light pink background against the chosen figures ties the whole piece together. A particular song plays from the shuffle queue of your music library. It’s one that you and Bakugou both know. You quietly hum along, bobbing your head. Your ears pick up a rather deep tremor that joins your humming. He’s humming along too, eyes laser focused on his work. In the most non-corny way possible, you try to harmonize with him, doing decent until you miss a note halfway through. He makes sure you’re aware he noticed.
“Stick to art.” He snickers, shoulders softly shaking.
“Mind your business.”
“I’ll do what I wanna do.” He retorts. He’s so sassy and for what.
Another couple hours pass and you’ve both finished your paintings. Katsuki lifts his painted skull with pride, his ego through the roof. It’s actually a pretty solid painting. Albeit, simple, but not bad at all.
“Goddamn Kats, you didn’t do half bad.” You chide with a grin.
“Damn right. Told you this shit’s easy. Just gotta get over gettin stuck in the details.”
“That’s funny because you asked for my help with line work but go off I guess.”
“You’re just a resource. Gotta use what I can to get where I need to be.”
“Damnnn ouch. That’s all I am to you? Katsuki I’m hurt.” You feign heartbreak as you dramatically hold your hand over your heart.
“Idiot. You gonna show me what you ended up paintin’ or not?” You nod, grabbing your canvas and flipping it over to show him your piece.
His eyes are met with an image of two bears, one white, one brown. Their cheeks are smushed together in some sort of side hug. The brown bear does not look amused. He clicks his tongue and tilts his head.
“You really love cutesy shit don’t you?”
You shrug. “Not my fault the Pinterest bears were cute. Stay mad but I’m in my bag.”
“The fuck’s that even mean-”
“Shhh you’re being a hater right now.” He shakes his head as he chuckles deeply, shoving his hands in the pockets of his sweats.
“Yeah you’re really lucky I’m in therapy.” You laugh with him and reach for his painting that he left on the ground.
“You gonna leave this behind after you worked so hard on it?” You question. He shrugs.
“Don’t really got a place for it. I ain’t really into displaying things like you. You keep it or something.” You hold onto both paintings as he announces his departure to his room.
The next morning, he wakes up and starts his usual routine. Shower, brushing his teeth and skincare. The shuffle of his house shoes fills the quiet of the halls as he journeys to your room to make sure you’re up to go on your Sunday morning run together. He knocks once, twice and gets no reply. He jiggles the doorknob and he finds it unlocked, meaning you’re probably not inside. He opens your door and looks around to find no you. But what he does find makes his face go warm. There on the wall adjacent to the door, hangs his skull painting right next to yours. A ghost of a smile graces his lips as he shakes his head, closing the door to your room to go and grab you for your run.
bonus: the paintings y’all made
Bakugou’s:

Random ass pruaus headcanons cause I'm ungrounded in two days, except their super long for no reason
Roderich and Gilbert go to the mall to simply look at stuff but never buy them. If Gilbert wants to buy something he'll have to either have to convince Roderich to buy it for him or steal it, this is all because Gilbert bought something they didn't need once when they were out and now is not allowed to bring his wallet anywhere without intense supervision from Roderich.
Every Halloween they will dress up as fictional couples, be it gay or straight they don't care, Sometimes they even let others decide. It's become a yearly tradition for them, and every year they somehow get weirder than the last. The first year they did this they went out as starfire and Robin and now they're outrageous enough to go as miss piggy and kermit.
Only Roderich knows how to flirt, Gilbert cannot flirt to save his life, Roderich will tease him about it and Gilbert always says he's too good for flirting.
They both avoid the beach at ALL COSTS. Roderich has a crippling fear of the sea and marine animals and Gilbert is just albino. If they want to go swimming it's either a pool or their bathtub, it's unfortunately always the bathtub cause Gilbert turns into a hotdog if he stays for over 3 minutes in the sun and is appalled by the fact that some people bring food and piss in public pools. Roderich is just a hermit who doesn't like being around people, especially when he's half naked.
They both are insecure and will often have cuddling sessions where they just talk about the others features. Roderic lets Gilbert melt into his chest whilst he whispers random compliments, Gilbert goes for a more physical approach but it's still appreciated by Roderich none the less.
Roderich bakes and Gilbert cleans. Whenever Roderich is baking Gilbert prepares himself mentally for the mess he'll have to clean up afterwards. It's worth it though, he only eats Roderich's baking cause it reminds him of home. Roderich also cooks but it doesn't leave too much of a mess since his meals are usually small and simple.
Despite his wallet getting taken away, Gilbert still commissions artists online to draw him and Roderich. Roderich deeply despises this since he thinks it's useless, but he still enjoys the art. Sometimes they get baroque like art that they can spend hours looking at and observing.
They both watch Eurovision together and laugh at the performances, They mostly do it for entertainment but it can also bring them to heated arguments over the result.
Roderich wakes up randomly at night to either smoke or eat and sometimes even both. He'll crawl out of their shared bed and go downstairs to get some food or smoke, Gilbert is a heavy sleeper so he doesn't often wake up when this happens. Gilbert knows about this though but only worries and confronts him about it when he thinks Roderich has been smoking too much. Roderich is trying to stop, but his nickname "the ashtray of Europe" unfortunately still stays with him even though he tries.
They both can waltz and are great at it. They play waltz music in the background while they're relaxing on the patio Incase they wanna suddenly dance, most of the time it's Gilbert who initiates it but Roderich is the one who will convince him to continue. They enjoy how close and intimate they feel and how soothing and relaxing it can even be sometimes, though they also take it too seriously and end up accidentally breaking something.
(that's all unfortunately, my hands hurt and I think my mom knows I took my phone even though I'm not supposed to have it rn)

How can you find comfort right now?
Hello! This pick a pile is going to focus on how you can find comfort right now, whatever situation you may find yourself in, just some advice that could help soothe your soul.
Here are the piles(1-3):
Pile 1
Tumblr media
Pile 2
Tumblr media
Pile 3
Tumblr media
These pictures are not mine, i found them on pinterest. :)
****
Pile 1;
Cards; 2 of wands, The hanged one, The devil and 4 of pentacles.
Life may be a bit boring right now, you may find yourself just going through the motions. As I write this, my heart is feeling heavy. Maybe you are being weighed down by your own expectations on yourself, and society's expectations as well. Also for some of you, you may be experiencing blockages in your heart chakra. What can help you to find comfort right now is doing something for yourself, I'm getting less of in the physical sense like a spa day or vacation, but something more spiritual in nature. You may be so caught up in the material world right now, making money, paying bills etc etc but you need to take some time to nurture yourself. Your life is lacking that sense of spark that is present when you arre contented and spiritually and emotionaly fulfilled in life. Some of you may want to change what you do and take another path in your job/career? But what you want to do may be quite different and maybe even frowned upon or considered weird. Advice for these people would be to combine your creativity and what you feel inspired to do with the structure that you may already have in place. A partnership would also be beneficial for you. Overall, what can give you comfort right now is turning inwards, nurturing yourself and your desires. Maybe start a hobby that you've always wanted to do that can allow your playful and childish side to come out. I'm getting something like drawing or painting colourfully, something you can do with your hands or something very active.
PILE 2;
Cards; The fool, The emperor, 5 of wands reversed, Knight of pentacles reversed.
Pile 2 you have soooo many opportunities and a lot of potential right now. You may be feeling overwhelmed and unsure how to go forward regarding whatever it is you want to do. For a few of you in this pile I'm getting that you may be starting over from a time in your life where you felt like the rug was pulled out from under you and your whole life came crashing down. A few of you may have devoted a lot of time to something but it never worked out the way you wanted, like a cruel twist of fate. ( but only some of you, it was a specific message). What you can find comfort in right now is routine, building a new routine to channel and direct your energy will give you a sense of stability that you need right now. Also, joining a course( like a university degree) or something that may give you an outlined path to what you want to do. Being rational and disciplined right now will help to bring a sense of comfort in your life.
Pile 3;
Cards; 5 of wands, Page of cups reversed, 8 of wands and The fool.
Pile 3 your message is really clear, lol. What can give you comfort right now is being silly and having fun. Following your desires and impulses and having fun without thinking much about it, not taking life too seriously. You may be worried about something like a competition or a debate? Or something of that nature has ended recently. Either way, whatever the outcome was/is, the most important thing is to enjoy yourself and not let yourself be carried away by anxieties or fears that may pop up. Allow yourself to be childish and treat yourself as well. I'm getting the image of a child at a festival/carnival just running around, playing games and eating icecream.
**********************
Thank you for participating in this pick a pile reading!!! I would really love to know if this resonated with you so please dont hesitse to give feedback or ask me anything on my blog!!

Fragments - episodes 1-3 author notes
A sort of an analysis post, rambling about the stuff I’m trying to imply in my comic. Read and see how much you’ve noticed or missed :>
Starting with the obvious parallels.
Raha’s expectations vs reality.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Our Warrior is, indeed, unfortunately, not what he seems.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
^ In this scene Vivi’s genuinely enjoying himself, getting that sweet revenge on the owner of that disembodied voice.
In this scene, however, he’s not only amused, but also overplaying a bit out of sheer pettiness. “Oh it’s THAT guy again, let’s show him his place”.
Tumblr media
It’s not too important to point out in the comic, but the laughter scene does stretch on for long enough to consider that Vivi may not be 100% genuine here.
It goes unnoticed by both parties, but Vivi’s less-than-valiant behavior effectively shatters whatever wall could’ve initially been between them. Now they’re equal.
Tumblr media
And not only Raha doesn’t feel any reverent tremble before the hero of Eorzea anymore, he all but hisses at Vivi, scared that he’d go around telling everyone about his shame.
Tumblr media
Which never happens!
Tumblr media
Everyone around them is confused by Vivi’s sudden outburst and their cryptic exchange of? Threats? Promises? Whatever that was?
Again, they don’t notice that yet but you’re allowed to know that they’re kinda on the same wavelength, sharing one braincell. By “don’t you-” Raha means “don’t you fucking tell them about me landing in the river”, and “shh, we’re good, I’d never” from Vivi is a reassurance that he didn’t, and won’t. A shared secret’s still a bonding material, even if it’s this ridiculous.
Their exchanges overall are rather short during the entire ARR arc because, take it or leave it, they don’t have much in common yet. Not much to talk about. However their sass and mischief are colliding in explosions.
A bit of a break from the lyrical mood, look at these defeated ixal. I’ve looked up their refs, rolled up my sleeves and then decided to just not x’D
Tumblr media
I’m incredibly proud of this frame.
Tumblr media
Like seriously it turned out so good composition-wise. Also the lance! You won’t find it ingame, not in this game at least - it’s a guild wars sunspear. A bit of an easter egg and a cheeky reference to the sun, Azem, yadda. Vivi doesn’t keep this spear for too long, I’m not even sure if I’ll draw it again. Next time he carries a weapon on-screen it’s a new one, completely original because I don’t like any ingame lance :’>
Also a random semi-related fact: Vivi’s gridanian! So Raha unknowingly chooses the worst possible matchup. Pretending an elemental or whatever he thought he sounded like, should I even mention hiding in the GREEN TREES as a REDHEAD.
The first scene takes place on a summer night.
Tumblr media
Not sure if I could convey “summer” somehow but it’s not that important. I just wanted to go all in on the ShB foreshadowing. And I personally associate Vivi with a summer night. Midsummer. Fae. Wait, it’s way too early for that-
Thank you for reading the comic, I’ve been working on it for over a month now, with maybe one day off per week, that’s how excited I am. This workload could be unhealthy in the long run, so I’ll try to keep the updates within 5-6 pages/10-12 frames from now on. Still quite an amount to dish out in one week, but otherwise I wouldn’t reach their “endgame” even in 5 years. Well, I’m just starting out and seeing what works best for me. I took this month off work to fully dedicate to the comic and see where it lands me money-wise, but I’ll have to go back to adoptable-making in September. My monthly needs are ~$1400, comic currently makes ~200 ;w; But again it’s too early to judge, I’m hoping that more people join patreon or kofi.

it's partially because of the DID but it feels weird recognizing how long "i" have been drawing. i was a chronic doodler when i was a little kid but when i was around 10 years old, i discovered ye olde warrior cat animations made in ms paint and windows movie maker by people around my age, and i thought it was really cool and also felt achievable since these were my peers, and i started taking art a bit more seriously as a hobby. and now i'm turning 24 in 6 days, so it's been nearly 14 years. for a long time i assumed i would make it into my job before realizing if i did that i'd learn to hate it
on a logical level i recognize that i have spent a long time casually building skills (i've done some level of self-study but i am not hardcore about it, i've just drawn a lot over time) and that i've worked very hard to get to where i am with my art, but at the same time that shit doesn't feel real. the people who did that are other versions of me that have since fragmented or fused or become unrecognizable, and i just have been passed the torch of their muscle memory and art knowledge, i guess. personally the kiki typing right now that's always on this blog only just split a couple years ago.
this is also part of the reason i've been in such bad burnout, i mean it's for a variety of reasons but i feel like i'm still figuring out how i want to make art personally or what it means to me, because i've just been numbly repeating the patterns of the many kikis before me and i'm realizing i just do not connect with it the same. this is especially why i've been more focused on human art (well, kaf/kafu specifically let's be honest lol) than animal art than ever before, not that i don't enjoy the animals/pokemon stuff sometimes but i am just way less passionate about it then prior hosts
tldr sometimes it feels like i just woke up a couple years ago with art skills i don't deserve even though i know i developed them, and also i don't know what the current me even wants to create anymore

❄, 🔥, 🌈, and ☀️ for the ask game !!!
thank you henrike i hope ur doing well 💛
☀️ Sun - What's your favorite part of your WIP?
ough since i’m writing paramour ig i’ll answer for that wip and it’s basically just the actual lengthy overly flowery and descriptive prose has actually been so much fun for me. i should write all my wips like this (i can’t bc it doesn’t fit the vibe of every story so i won’t but ough i love it)
❄️ Snow - Who is your coldest / most stoic character and how do they express themselves (if at all)?
i very much enjoy making stoic characters so i do have several of different varieties. the MOST stoic characters would probably be
jenna magboo (jenna the reaper): because she has flat affect and she has no intonation in her voice whatsoever (until yehna partially possesses her). she usually expresses herself through her actions and she’s very physically affectionate with people she likes. her and carlos hold hands and cuddle quite often and she tends to cling onto people’s clothing as a means of showing care.
rosmarin “red” (red death & the oracle’s favor): our lovely mc who has severe trauma and thus has an extremely difficult time expressing her emotions. she doesn’t tend to show her feelings because showing emotions makes her have physical panic attacks. she does grow a bit better at expressing them through getting closer to hel but she’ll always probably be awkward.
kalifia fandel (tcol): she doesn’t express emotions mostly because being [redacted] she is not familiar with the range of emotions that terraneans feel or can express. she comes across as cold and heartless but she’s honestly very, very neutral about most things. the only thing she expresses any emotion towards for a long time is flowers. she likes them and presses them in notebooks. but other than that she has no interest in being palatable to others because that would impede her mission regardless.
tomb (the graves we dug): similarly to kalifia, tomb is a man bound by duty. being a bounty hunter, attachments get you killed or the other party killed and it’s better to simply detach yourself from all things. he thinks graves and dove are in their predicament because they both care too much. this being said, he isn’t completely cut off from his emotions. he’s just very good at repression and restraint. in another life (his youth) he used to be very expressive and still could be if he chose to. so it’s less that he can’t express care or himself, he just doesn’t.
🔥 Wildfire - Who is your most emotional character and why?
oh god i have a Lot of emotional characters but let’s see if i can narrow it down to my beacons of emotional range:
marco azarola etxebarria (vdtrt): he just has a zest and zeal and love of life, literal ray of sunshine who can draw virtually anyone into his orbit. probably the biggest extrovert of all the vlad protection squad (runner ups being awilda and darren respectively). he’s one of those who doesn’t let his circumstances damper his vibe. +weed helps LMAO.
piper fairwind & san dearborn (tcol): yeah these two but in opposite directions. piper is similar to marco except it’s somewhat more internal. she feels everything intensely as she’s only had herself to rely on for much of her life and in turn she had to become her own advocate, her own cheerleader, her own parent etc. it’s an attitude born out of necessity perhaps. for san it’s the opposite because she was constantly spurned and pushed to the side so she had to fight for what little respect she could get. because of that they tend to run hot tempered and take things that may just be jokes too seriously;;; especially when either of them are with each other emotions are WILD and all over. i just know someone out there is going to ship them and lemme just say, i understand.
thei (god eater): it’s a bit of a cheat to put him here but it’s true. being the last god eater, thei has access to the entire combined consciousness of the singularity within him; so thats hundreds of thousands of emotional ranges potentially at any given moment. he’s kind of like an extreme empath LMAO. he actually tends to be more stoic to try and regulate these intense emotions, however when they get the better of him and he cries, his emotions literally can destroy the entire world basically. it’s why it’s a good thing he has taj to help him bc tbh he was barely holding on before taj came into his life.
🌈 Rainbow - What do you think makes your story unique / stand out?
round this out with paramour again but tbh i feel like the entire premise and the style i’m going for is sort of a slight modernization of types of gothic adjacent stories we haven’t really seen in books the past some odd years. also the fact that it’s got an all black cast for the subject matter and themes is definitely different!

The New TMNT Mutant Mayham Got Me Thinking About Why I Like the Turtles
So, I finished watching the latest movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem and it got me thinking about what it is that I like about the franchise. Although, not necessarily because I liked the movie. In fact, I found it kind of difficult to watch at points and I was having trouble understanding why at first. It had really good animation and really good voice actors, and I really liked the third act where a bunch of New Yorkers worked together to help the turtles take down the massive monster.
But I found myself not really enjoying it as a standalone movie and I really didn't find a lot that I liked as a TMNT fan. Consider this post as my way of trying to understand this.
The first way I'd like to think about this movie is as something on its own, regardless of the franchise it represents. After all, TMNT has had a lot of different interpretations with different flavors, so, what did this one have to offer? As I mentioned, really good animation and voice acting...but also a LOT of pop culture references and gross out humor. This franchise is not new to this kind of thing, but I was noticing that a lot of scenes would spend about 1-2 minutes every 5 minutes on drawing out a joke that seemed to reiterate "teenagers are cringy and gross". Perhaps the arguement could be made that, the film is labeled as a comedy, so it is excusable, but I don't quite agree with that. Comedy that is well-written is not simply a long string of goofiness; it's a punchline. A punch is something that needs to be planned and well-timed, and rapid punches can only be done effectively with focus and endurance, otherwise, it turns into a less effective equivalent of flailing your hand trying to slap someone, in which it is more annoying than impactful. There's not a lot of moments or jokes that stand out because a lot of them blurred together for me.
The heart of the message is important for any story. Each iteration of the Turtles seems to tie into the idea of trying to deal with how impressionable teenagers are, including Mutant Mayhem. With this recent film, the turtles are obsessed with earning a name for themsleves because they feel outcasted. It was interesting of a concept because this kind of thing was actually explored in the 1990 turtles movie, where the Shredder was recruiting teenagers throughout New York who felt misunderstood and convincing them that the only way they could live freely was to take from others. One of the human characters was a teenager who was following Shredder at first, but he changed his mind after Splinter and the turtles convinced him that there was no honor or true happiness in that path. The turtles were the role models in that situation, though the 2011 TMNT cartoon was an instance where the turtles had to learn hard lessons that helped them grow. Technically, Mutant Mayhem addresses this by saying the turtles needed to be confident in themselves and trust others, since trusting April and choosing to help her when her bike got stolen was what ultimately led her to doing a news report to convince New York to help them. The message is there, but it just felt muddled. In the first episode of the 2011 TMNT show, they saw April get kidnapped and failed to save her, Splinter makes a comment that the turtles will have to wait until next year to go outside again (though, I personally believe Splinter was just pretending to be dismissive of April's fate so as to spur the turtles) and Donnie responds "You didn't see into her eyes. The way she looked at me. Helpless. She needed my...our help." It's a small moment in a short episode, but it's a clear moment of empathy, even with very slight but subtle humor woven in, but not enough that distracts from the seriousness of the situation. Mutant Mayhem had chances to do this, like when Mikey thought Mando Gecko was buried under rubble but it turned out to just be his severed tail. It was a funny reveal, but I think it would have been more effective if there had even been a few seconds to show Mikey's panic and maybe even scratching at the rubble to allow for a moment of seriousness, that would have actually made the punchline hit more effectively.
In terms of the message, of having the turtles and other mutants feel like outcasts, I do feel like this particular story has been told a lot in movies nowadays (though I don't want to blame the movie for that, it's simply the current trend) but I do think there are movies where this kind of story has been told better. As far as films I look to as a personal golden standard, I think of the Iron Giant, who had to prove himself a hero by choosing not to be a weapon, but there are more recent films I think tackled this well, such as the Bad Guys, which had anthropormorphic animals trying to redefine their cultural stereotyping and personal beliefs about themselves as bad guys by choosing to do good. Technically, Mutant Mayhem does this same story, but I think it lacked a moment of respect for its message. And I don't think it's fair to comedy and storytelling to say "It's a comedy, it doesn't need to take itself seriously" because, for example, Bad Guys is technically a comedy too yet still manages to stirke a balance of comedy and character conflicts that showed you can have fun in the bad times, but mistakes do still have consequences. Mutant Mayhem had small moments like this, but it lacked a confidence in itself.
I think lack of confidence in itself was what I felt most with this movie. That was the main theme between the turtles and April, and technicallly that did get resolved as they worked together with the New York populace, though it all felt like a side story to Splinter's arc about not trusting humans. In a way, the turtles never quite got their big stand-out moment in their own movie. I guess that was the point of this movie, where the turtles aren't supposed to be important, since trying to attain that is what got them in trouble. It all technically works narratively, but I still had a hard time feeling satisfied.
Admittedly, perhaps some of this comes from my history with TMNT. One of my favorite Turtles media is the 1990 movie with a close second being the 2011 Nick cartoon, though I didn't get around to all of the other propteries, I still tried to stay informed. By the end of Mutant Mayhem, I was thinking about these other versions and trying to remember what I enjoyed about them so much and I really do enjoy those past versions. But I wanted to be cautious about not liking Mutant Mayhem just for interpreting things differently, since doing something different doesn't make it bad, but I think it still needs to be done well in order for the changes to work.
When dealing with so many iterations, it may not be fair to compare Mutant Mayhem to those before it, but I do wonder at what kind of identity that it offered of its own. As mentioned, these turtles lacked confidence in themselves and leaned very heavily on their jokes, to the point that I had trouble telling them apart personality wise. Even the old 80's cartoon was very careful in making the turtles distinct in how they reacted to situations despite their identical designs (like you could always rely on Raph making a snappy comment). Even with the other mutants, I liked that they were given the opprotunity to befriend the turtles, but they all blended together character-wise as well, since their motivations were all the same with only minor differences in how they behaved. For the turtles, things like Leo's over-responsibility and crush on April or Ralph's glee for violence felt more like sidenotes, and I'll try to explain why. Throughout Mutant Mayhem for instance, Ralph's anger was a running joke, saying he had anger issues...but I never got the sense he was angry. He was actually quite happy all the time and never took anything seriously, he just so happened to really like punching things and Splinter even lost his temper more than Ralph. A lot of the movie was like this, in telling things but not really showing it. And I think showing the personality traits rather than telling has been done well in the past. This is where I think it would be best to make comparisons: In other iterations, like the 1990 film, Ralph's anger is more apparent because we got to see how it resulted in him losing more than one fight he tried to do alone and almost dying, how he had to learn to manage his anger to help his brothers. In the TMNT 2011 cartoon, Ralph had a mean-streak, which caused problems with Mikey not feeling secure, but they would eventually work it through, and it was clear that Ralph's anger just stemmed from his immense passion for things, which sometimes led him to befriending pets or being the most empathetic of others in certain situations.
There were a variety of changes to the turtle's with their personality and backstory. As mentioned, change isn't bad but it should be done with a clear vision and executed well, especially when dealing with such a long-running franchise. I wasn't sure what to think of Leo's crush on April, in part because it didn't really have an impact on the story (as the turtles would have likely retrieved her stolen bike regardless--and if the only reason they helped April was because of Leo's crush then I think it reflects poorly on the turtles. One might argue Donnie had a crush on April before they went to save her in the 2011 TMNT cartoon but I think it was clear that Donnie's crush in the first episode was treated more as a fun joke and he expressed wanting to save her because they were the only ones who could help her and had a responsibility to). The other thing with Leo's crush in Mutant Mayhem was that it felt like it didn't add to the experience, not really being treated as a joke or committed to being explored like with TMNT's Donnie, and it didn't feel like Leo and April were given moments to even get chemistry. There were a lot of little decisions like this that made it feel added on rather than woven in. Other changes involving the backstory had a bigger impact on my experience and it relates to the fight scenes.
A lot of these past versions delivered when it came to the fight scenes, even the the live action 1990 movie. Part of the appreciation for it I felt like had to do with the fact that the turtles, no matter how young and fun-loving, do still have a level of seriousness for their craft. Mutant Mayhem had fights, but they kind of went by fast. There was some cool editing but not really a lot of moments that stood out. They largely felt like street fights, something chaotic and just scrambling to hit something. The only time I can really play back a fight in my head was also the one time it felt like a ninja was fighting, when Splinter was saving the turtles, but even that felt a little off, I think because of this Splinter's backstory. I might be biased in saying this, but I found myself missing the backstory of Splinter being either a pet of Hamato Yoshi or even the man himself, as it gave more creedance to the turtle's ninjustu. Even the Rise of the TMNT, which was before this movie and considered one of the more comedic of the recent iterations, still had Splinter originate as an honorable master of martial arts who got turned into a rat and raised the turtles to protect them. It was comedically portrayed but still faithful. It was to my surprise that the 1990 live action film was actually very faithful to the original comic adaption, in which Splinter was a pet rat who was close to Hamato and had a grudge against Shredder. Either backstory works I think because it has a level of believability. The only time I had heard of the turtles being trained by self-defense books was from the Micheal Bay 2011 movie. It is a goofy explanation, and it could work, but I'm not sure if Mutant Mayhem managed to make it work, as I feel it didn't quite work in the 2011 film either. It's not to say that Splinter has to be a martial arts master, but I feel like him and turtles learning ninjitsu from a legitimate source then gives more respect to ninjitsu. There's no sense of history and it makes it feel like, if Splinter found a book on boxing, then they could have just as likely become the Teenage Mutant Boxer Turtles and calling themselves ninja was just a means to an end.
I suppose all this to say, Mutant Mayhem was not a bad movie, but it is not one I would recommend, as I feel there are other films and even other Turtles media that can provide more refined versions of what this movie wanted to offer. I appreciate anyone who read to the end of this and allowing me to share my thoughts. Have an excellent day.

🌟 About the Blog 💫
What's the main purpose of this blog?
This blog mostly focuses on INFP related content. I'm not super knowledgeable when it comes to typology, so I mainly just focus on INFPs in my posts. It made the most sense to me because it's my own type, so obviously I have the most knowledge on it lol. Of course, anyone can enjoy this blog if they want! Not just INFPs!
Stuff I've done:
INFPs irl and in fiction
INFP moodboards (based on the enneagrams that fit w the type)
INFP playlist
Examples of romantic relationships between INFPs and other types in fiction
And more!
Why did I create this blog?
I’ve had an interest in typology for a while. I think my main goal was just to create fun content for myself and others to enjoy. I've always wanted see more of this kind of content when it comes to mbti, because a lot of people take it too seriously imo. I see a lot of people using typology to dictate their entire views on themselves and other people, and while I have a huge interest in psychology, using mbti to form your opinions on other is no better than using astrology to do so. Mbti is a pseudoscience anyway, so this blog is really just meant to be fun!

🌙 Typology Journey ☁️
How'd I get into mbti? Well basically it all started one day in 5th grade. I was bored and procrastinating classwork lol. I've always enjoyed taking tests that analyze your personality (like the uquiz ones), and so I googled "personality tests." Then sure enough I came across 16p, and my obsession with typology began. I got INFP-A the first time, and I've gotten INFP-T ever since. I sent the test to like everyone I knew cus I wanted to compare results w them, and I got really into mbti skits and youtubers (basically Frank James lmao).
Then a couple years later I discovered PDB (Personality Database) after looking up "infp fictional characters" or something like that. I then found out that 16p wasn't super accurate or something, because they typed people by letters and not the cognitive functions. I actually had no idea what they were and why they were important, or why letter typing was "less accurate." It turns out letter-typing is frowned upon and seen as less accurate by like half the community because the cognitive functions were actually part of the original theory. I learned that the letters are basically just an oversimplified version of the actual functions in order to help beginners understand better, but when you type someone you don’t actually ask if they're more introverted or extroverted and what not.
Anyway now back to the important stuff lol.
I was one of the lucky people who was actually typed correctly by PDB. I took more "accurate" tests like Sakinorva and Keys2Cog, but I still got INFP even then. I even read more about the functions and my type online through my own research, after I found out that even the more "accurate" tests weren't always reliable. I also asked a few of my friends I met through PDB, who understood mbti better than I did, and asked them. Pretty much everyone said I was an INFP, so there was that.
As for enneagram, I just took a test and got 2w1. I didn't have as much knowledge on enneagram, so I went with that. Then when I asked people what they thought for my enneagram, a few people said 4w5, and once again I didn't question it. As for my tritype and ivs those were pretty easy to figure out with some explanation, and I went with 496.
But for a while I always found myself relating to the 9 traits more than 4 traits, especially sx 9. And a lot of people actually agreed with me, some said my 9 traits were too strong to only be one of my fixes, so then I typed as INFP 9w1 for a while.
And then, pretty recently I found out that was actually impossible. As you may know, not all type combinations are possible—and that includes INFPs and 9s. At first I thought people were being stupid and over-exaggerating, how would their traits contradict? But then I eventually found out that most "INFP 9s" are actually 6s, because 6s and 9s look very similar— especially sp 6s. So yea now I'm officially INFP 6w5! I basically ended up switching around my tritype order a bunch of times lol
As for the other parts of my typology, like socionics. I didn't really put much effort into that lol. I can somewhat understand mbti and enneagram, but I barely understand anything else. So once again I asked other people what they thought and pretty much everyone agreed on EII, and that was it!
So yea, sorry that was so long lmao. Thanks for reading! :)

Hello, hello, my lovelies! I'm back again tonight with a couple of fandom prompts, based on this fun little Monopoly ask prompt here! The first one I'll be posting is for a newer fandom to this blog and not a super popular one, sadly, Special 7: Special Crime Investigation Unit! Seriously, a short but genuinely pretty decent anime and one I enjoy writing for!
Send me a fandom and a number and I’ll tell you who in Monopoly:
Is the banker: I feel like, retconning a bit here so Luka can play with the team, it would be Luka. My headcanon is that he’s actually really good at math and numbers and he’s the quickest at banker duties and is able to keep accurate counts and knows what everyone has in terms of funds at any time during the game.
Is overly protective of a certain game token and refuses to play until they get that token: Oh, you know they’re not playing just any old regular Monopoly. Bellemer and Kiryuin made this version specially for the team and everyone has their own personalized pieces, and it is very important to these two that they use their own personalized pieces.
Who is the person who everybody always suspects of cheating even though “OH MY GOD IT WAS ONE TIME”: It’s Endo. To be fair, he only cheated that one time because the game had gone on for three hours and he just wanted it to be over.
Is the person who cheats and gets away with it because no one suspects them: Nijo might seem on the level but he’s sneaky. He cheats but does so with strategy and knows when to take a fall after a string of cheating induced luck so that people don’t start to suspect.
Buys everything they land on with a YOLO approach and no strategy: While she loves the game so much, Bellemer sucks at it. She thinks she’s planned it and strategized but really, any strategies she’s cooked up don’t really last long as she tends to just buy, buy, buy whenever she can. Doesn’t help that others goad her on into it, either, knowing she’ll take the bait.
Suggests that they liven it up with alcohol: That is the only way Endo is ever playing that game again after that three-hour long fiasco. Monopoly is fun in small doses or when you are very, very drunk.
Has a very stringent strategy and is willing to do strange requests and weird dares in exchange for the properties they want: Kiryuin has a tried-and-true strategy that actually does win him the game more often than not. It’s just surprising the lengths he’ll go through to enact that strategy. For such an elegant looking man, he’s more than willing to get a little silly. All in the name of fun and team-building, of course.
INSISTS that they play by the rulebook TO THE LETTER: Seiji. He likes rules. Rules are there for a reason and he believes that, if the game designers went through the trouble of figuring out rules, regulations, and gameplay, that they should all respect them enough to abide by the rules.
Throws the rulebook in the other person’s face and makes up new rules to make it better: Ichinose actually kind of does it just to provoke and annoy Seiji sometimes. It just amuses him.
Has ridiculously good luck with the chance cards to the point of suspicion: Again, this is Seiji. Kiryuin to a slightly less degree. Both of them are actually really lucky individuals and games of chance like drawing cards tends to normally work out in their favour.
Lands on all the taxes and as a result vows to vote for a different candidate in the next election: Akane is already almost bankrupt within the first hour by all the damn taxes she’s had to pay. It frustrates her to no end and while she’s not normally hugely political, when it comes to taxes, she can summon up quite the long rant.
Goes bankrupt first: It’s normally either Akane or Bellemer who end up bankrupt and selling off stuff first.
Which two people get into a screaming match: Seiji and Ichinose. Seiji and Nijo. Nijo and Luka, as those two get very competitive over games in an odd turn.
Which two people are secretly collaborating for a joint victory: Endo and Akane tend to team up pretty frequently and they’re good about keeping it hush-hush. Nobody has cottoned on to their alliance yet…mostly because they both always lose anyway.
Which two people are openly collaborating for a joint victory: Ichinose and Luka tend to collaborate, if they’re playing together. It’s pretty obvious and they don’t try to hide it. It just works for them, and it makes the game more interesting.
Who flips the table: Nobody. While there might be fighting and tension occasionally, they all know how to keep it pretty good-natured and would never get to the extreme where they’d flip the table.
Who is the sore winner who in any other circumstance would be the one flipping the table: Again, there’s no flipping the table but Bellemer….terrible winner who will rub it in people’s faces, though there’s never any malice meant, for at least a couple weeks afterwards.
Who anonymously calls in a bomb threat to end the game early: Oh, Nijo has definitely thought about it. Has never done it…so far. But he’s definitely thought about it.
Who is the smart person who refuses to play in the first place: There is no refusing. Oh, you’re busy? That’s okay, they’ll reschedule it for another time…you decided to bail and go to a restaurant. Guess which group of people find you shortly afterwards? And would you look at that, they just so coincidentally happen to have the game with them. Look, Kiryuin takes his team building ‘fun’ seriously.
