Twelvelms is a new, original fantasy mystery story set at a magical univeristy in the north of England following three new scholars as they discover the dark conspiracy at the roots of their society

I've been working on the world in which Twelvelms is set for almost a decade, and the story of the show is something I've been working on for several years. Season One will be twelve episodes long and will start airing from 18th June 2024. We're currently crowdfunding to make this happen!

Nestled in the hills and trees of the north of England is a tiny town, invisible to passing hikers and planes flying overhead. Twelvelms is part of a secret world just out of sight of the one we all live in; a dangerous magical world full of curses and spells beyond our imagination, and hidden histories which loop and twist like the knotted roots of ancient trees. This is the world of the mages, people who can use magic to perform wondrous acts of power and majesty, and for hundreds of years, they’ve lived in secret on the fringes of our society.

Twelvelms is a university town, sprung up around an ancient institution which for over a millennium has moulded the minds of the future of magedom. In this brand new immersive audio drama podcast, three new scholars of Twelvelms University will face the trials and tribulations of young adulthood and navigate the murky waters of campus life. But there is more to Twelvelms’ hallowed halls than prestige and learning. It’s the centre of a rotten conspiracy which runs deep into the roots of magical society, and there’s only a matter time before the decay will spread into everything they know.

There's already a whole website full of stuff which expands the show's world and gives you loads to explore whilst you're waiting for the show to come out! You can also read the script for episode one here.

I've already made three shows you might've heard of: Clockwork Bird, Spirit Box Radio and Not Quite Dead, with two of those shows now being part of RQ Network.

Even small contributions to crowdfunds make a huge difference to a crowdfund like this; it all adds up in the end. An Update on Twelvelms, and more!

Hello everyone! This is just a quick check in to keep you all up to speed with what’s happening with The @Twelvelms Conspiracy, a show I was crowdfunding for earlier in the year, and a few other things you might be wondering about!

The money raised during the crowd-funder has been about enough for me to continue to look for ways to produce and complete the project, but it’s been a lot more difficult than I was hoping. Audio drama as an industry is extremely in flux. The landscape of the space is changing very rapidly at the moment. Whilst I think there’s a lot of enthusiasm for a project like Twelvelms, it needs a lot of time and resources to work, and right now, it’s proving extremely difficult to get that to happen.

I’ve already poured hundreds of hours and a lot of love into this project and I’m not willing to walk away from it, especially considering so many people helped out by donating to this project and making sure I could afford basic necessities.

For now, the project is having to take a back seat whilst I focus on Not Quite Dead, which is already airing and can help me pay my bills, and also look for other work. With the rising cost of living in the UK and the slow-moving nature of the audio drama space, I’m no longer able to be a full-time creator. I’ve been trying to find a day job since right after I got top surgery in September, but it’s not been very encouraging so far.

Until I can find a more consistent source of income where I know I’m always going to be able to pay rent and buy food, looking for one is going to have to be my priority, after which I’ll be able to begin to focus on fulfilling all the pledges on this campaign.

I have some important meetings scheduled for early in the new year which seem pretty encouraging! I'll keep you posted and let you know about any developments as soon as I'm able to!

Twelvelms is a university of magic attended by young mages who hail from any of the seven covens that exist in the British Isles. However, students Reilly, Felix, and Quinn discover that learning may not be the only thing going on within these hallowed halls.

This pod is also being produced by Hanging Sloth Studios, responsible for the aforementioned pods, so you already know what you're in for! (That being a great story with amazing writing, loveable characters, and top notch acting and production).

Hi everyone!! My newest project, The @Twelvelms Conspiracy is crowdfunding, and it'd mean the world if you could toss a few coins in its direction if you are able!! This show means the world to me and I can't make it without funding, so here's some things you should know about the show!!

You may be wondering why I'm crowdfunding this right now, not later!! Planning and development of a show this size and scope is time consuming, difficult and complicated. I want to make sure I know how much I'm going to be able to pay other people whose involvement I ask for before I move ahead and ask them to come aboard. Crowdfunding itself is a lengthy and stressful process, too, and I am having surgery in September, so ideally I'd like to avoid being in a position where the first thing I have to do when I return to work after my recovery period is crowdfunding, if I can!!

These things combine to mean that now is the best possible time for me to be fundraising for this show. I really believe in this show and I wish it already existed so I could listen to it. It's a thing I really believe needs to exist, and I'm so hopeful and excited about it.

It's sensational, January is maximum blorbo material, and the premise (town where ethical thought problems are literally real and fucking up the townsfolk) is really interesting and well executed

It is Twelvelms Tuesday! The LAST Twelvelms Tuesday whilst our crowdfunder is still live. Today's going to be about the world in which Twelvelms is set, and we'll start to see some developments between the world, and the story that will be the show...

This show is deeply engaged with themes of nature and connection with the plants and animals we share this planet with. Carbon Offsetting is built into the campaign. I even visited a tree which is perhaps as old as the pyramids at Giza as part of my research!!

At the centre of the world of Twelvelms, there is the Alliance of the Seven-Once-Twelve. You know about the seven remaining Alliance covens, but what about the other five that once made their number twelve?

In truth, precious little information remains about the five extinct covens of the Alliance. Their records were lost at the time each them fell. All that remains are the records of the Coven Moots they held at Twelvelms; cultural seminars where scholars of each coven share their home cuisine and culture with others. As a result, we barely know more than each coven's name, sacred tree, and heraldric animal.
