Of Ire and Stars

Their encounters are always by the gargoyles, by the ringing bells. The bell towers stand tall and proud. Beautiful—though the spouts that stand nobly to protect the architecture are his favorite. He’s spent many hours, even all night here. The views of the City of Flowers, the stars in the sky—all things he wishes to burn into his memory.

Malleus finds himself at peace, yes, but the interruption crawls out again to speak.

Rollo. Rollo Franme. A Child of Man filled with ire for him, his kind.

But who is the true monster?

Malleus expects the arrival now, they are here for a short time—but enough of it has been interrupted. Tonight is the dance, the apex of their stay. The tradition they are upholding for Noble Bell College—and he represents Night Raven College.

Why, if there is such ire for his kind, does Rollo persist in seeing him? What is the look besides hate that burns in those eyes? He cannot fathom, not for a moment, what is there too.

If he is filled with such malice, such disgust toward him, why is he close? Why is his breathing so heavy as they practice the dance? Why won’t those eyes leave him?

Lilia is not here.

He has no one to ask.

When they return, he will recount these strange events to his beloved teacher. Try to understand what is going on—try to understand… all of this. He knew he would encounter hate for his kind. Lilia has long told the tales of the encounters in his many years to him, preparing him. Despite wishing for peace and understanding between races—the inevitable hate will be something he encounters.

Malleus, you will find those that have lost their reason. That burn with a hellfire of ire for you, because of how you were born. Do not lose heart, there are so many more across Twisted Wonderland that have their hearts opened instead of closed. I have fought more battles than I wish to remember. I have felled more foes than I wish to remember. Yet, I have still found many more friends in my travels, than even those I’ve slain.

If only Lilia were here to guide him more directly. He could better navigate, rather than stay cautious and keep curious.

This time, when Rollo approaches, he does not pay much attention. Eyes gazing up at the beautiful sky above, the endless stars that paint a gorgeous tapestry. He could weave something of such beauty, yes, but would it possess the same majesty as the night sky? Oh, how he doubts he could match the heavens.

The prince stays lain out, stretched across the back of the gargoyle he uses as his perch. The large, long stone creature crouches, the curve of it’s back perfect for him. Legs dangle over its shoulders. His head rests back, not caring what he looks like or the opinion of others.

The hands of the child of man that contains more ire than he’s probably ever seen, even more than Leona Kingscholar, reaches to grasp the haunches of the stone beast he rests upon. Hauling himself up to lean over the dragon, looking down at the fae.

“What, Malleus Draconia, do you find yourself too good to listen to me?!” There’s burning fury, righteous in his own mind—Rollo’s eyes burn such a bright color. Yet his form blocks his view of the stars.

“I am merely lost in the stars.” He replies calmly. Knowing in the night, his eyes hold light.

“What could the stars even mean to you?”

“The only constant.” He replies, eyes closing. Malleus can still feel the burn of his gaze. “Twisted Wonderland changes, but there are always stars in the sky. Even if one cannot see them on cloudy nights—or when the lights of cities burn too brightly and drown them.”

The hand grasping around his horn—immediately his lips pull back in a snarl. The visceral thoughts of Halloween return to his mind.

“There it is.” Smug. Satisfied.

“Release. Me.” He will not ask twice. The hand squeezes—not that it does a thing at all. But the feeling, the disrespect.

“You are in my domain, Malleus Draconia. Remember that.” But, Rollo releases his horn, and retreats. “Tomorrow is the dance—I expect you there to perform your part.”

Malleus does not respond, a hand rubbing, soothing the sensation out. The sensation makes his skin crawl.

Hey, just wanted to ask a question. I don't know if you've seen this trend but it pretty much just says "Take a game, show the character you started playing for, and shwo the character that became your favorite" and I just wanted to ask

In Genshin, my first favorite was Childe. I read a few fanfics about him and watched this trailer and it convinced me to download Genshin!!! I fell in love immediately with him. :D I started playing towards the beginning of Zhongli's first banner, so I missed Childe's first banner (I can't believe it was on my birthday as well,,, T_T). But I did eventually drag that Fatui Harbinger home!!!!

And then I saw him. ( ≧ᗜ≦) my most beloved to this very day. Scaramouche!!!!! I missed the Unreconciled Stars event, so I could only watch Scara's cutscenes religiously. The "are you deaf or just stupid? When did I give you the right to issue your own orders?" lines....... AAAAAAAAA IT WAS A DIRECT HIT TO MY HEART. OTL I saved obsessively for two years to ensure I would have enough to get him and his weapon when he became playable. I was a firm believer in playable Mouchey since day one. >w< the crumbs I feasted on,,, from vague mentions of him in dialogue, sprinkles of his lore in the artifact set, Ei and Miko's voice lines about him, the cutscene which only showed his foot, his appearance in Inazuma arc, and ultimately his role in Sumeru and consequent character arc!!!!!!!! So many memories omg!!!!

Scaramouche was a life-changing event for me. My first smut fic was for him hehehe. I love him dearly. He means the world to me. orz I was in quite a dark place during his playable release, so it was cathartic to suffer (and eventually heal) alongside Mouchey!!!

As for twst, Riddle was my favorite!!! In 2019-2020, I often returned to the twst website to play his greeting voice line on repeat. orz I adored him back then (and still do today). It was Riddle and Ruggie who captured my attention first. I skipped over Octavinelle because I thought they were all ugly and I didn't like their fedoras (lol). Azul was spared most of my dislike because I thought the twins were far more unattractive than he was. Floyd especially. ;;;;;;;;;;

I sort of,,, forgot about twst after it released in 2020 because I didn't have any friends who knew of it and so I was something of a quiet ghost within the fandom. ^^;;; I stopped paying attention shortly after book two. I also thought Azul's overblot form was ugly (I AM SO SORRY, MY LOVE) and I wasn't interested in tentacles or that sort of monstrous type back then. So it is with my clown makeup and wig on that I now admit my favorites are Octavinelle LOL. I think I started enjoying them at some point during twst's English release. Thank you to Azul for showing me the light and opening my eyes to the beautiful thing that is tentacles. orz

The Ruler of the Abyss

“There’s no need to be afraid,” From my fanfic. “You don’t need to be afraid,” From the Chapter 7 trailer. They’re the same thing. I can’t believe it’s almost been 2 years since I wrote that. This is it, all of the clues are coming together. 

Malleus’ chapter is called, “The Ruler of the Abyss,” due to his Nihilist ideals. Or what Lilia calls him in the Comic Anthology, Nihilleus.  His chapter will have to explore in what caused him to have such an unhealthy coping mechanism in the first place. It must be about the sudden passing of his parents. 

So behold, a timeline. BY stands for Before Yuu.

1000 BY - It’s a thousand years ago because that’s how old Grim’s spells are as Idia said in 6-42. Grim himself isn’t 1000 years old but the one who cast the spell is. A person that cast a series of spells, making it so complex that even the most advanced tech would take a 100 years to figure it out. I hope this person isn’t a threat.

Around this time, there was a Lord of Briar Valley who was guarded by Lilia. This man must have been the current Queen’s late husband since she entrusted Lilia, a talented soldier with many metals, to protect him. When you marry a princess, you don’t become a prince. The Lord was killed either at this point or later. 

600 BY - Maleficent dies and since Graconia had no spouse to help her with the work, she has her child that is already married, inherit the crown.

Sebek’s grandfather would have been part of the royal guard of the King of Thorns. This doesn’t mean Graconia’s child was a king. It can be short for King Consort.

500 BY - This is the time when the Ghost Princess’ kingdom was destroyed so we can assume, there were many calamities around this period. The Monarch and their spouse die, making Graconia Queen since Malleus was too young to bear the duties and needed to grieve.

Overall, being Draconia and Vanrouge is PAIN. I cannot even. Lilia is not dying from old age. He is gonna die from HEARTBREAK. His lord died, then his child died later. Now Malleus is going to overblot and is getting death flags but maybe because that’s how his parents died. If that’s true, he’s dying the same way his parents did. At this point the writers of Twst have a dartboard of what trauma to give them next. 

The Old man can’t catch a break. He may be retired, but not from the war within. A war he never enlisted in. I don’t blame him for swinging around death flags.

Hi, I know this might be a week late. But, Kingdom Hearts 4 is announced to be in development. So in the celebration of that announcement, I have two questions. One; have you watched the trailer and how did you react to it. And two; if the DCA girls met Sora, how will they react to him, his Keyblade, and his Keyblade skills? Thank you.

I just looked up at the trailer and I'm surprised that they're still doing more Kingdom Hearts? I thought the story was already over or smth but nope!

They got more to offer! Personally, I liked the franchise but I moved on from that, might just listen to some cutscene dialogue or the ost from time to time for nostalgia's sake.

I feel like Kingdom Hearts and TWST crossover exists in some fanfics that I have read at some point but yeah.

If Sora ends up in DCA, no doubt he'd be the little brother figure who also inspires the girls to strive for their dreams and hold onto hope.

His keyblade skills would impress the tougher and more athletic girls that they would offer to spar with him.

The others would immediately adopt him as an honorary younger sibling lol. Who knows, Sora might have the "Yuu" situation and has to be a student here while he does his mission.

(Though Ella would question his big shoes and why the heck would he NOT pick footwear his size??? ajddhfb vujnw)

Ask Corner Rules + Rules In General for Tumblr

I have decided to post a list of topics and things that are okay to ask for the time being. Please refer to this list for any uncertainties and don't be afraid to ask questions for clarifications.

Things That Are Okay To Ask:

What-If Scenarios: These are automatically assumed non canon unless specified to happen in the distant future or if the content is viable enough that it is inevitable to run into the scenario; depending on how TWST canon goes, this rule is flexible.

Character Interactions: These are fun to do and very possible due to how chaotic the characters in fandoms can be. Again, these are to be assumed non canon.

Fandom News: Although I won't answer immediately to these things, I still like talking about them 😊 Mostly because I don't want to get spoiled on games that I have an interest in playing myself. Although things, where it's in trailers and such, are fair game.

Fanart for Scenarios, Characters, and etc.: I don't mind this sort of thing at all. I love seeing art on my characters and people's interpretations of them!

Things That Are Not Okay To Ask and Other Things:

Certain Pokemon Showing Up in my Fanfic (exclusive to "The Eternal Blooming Flower"): This requires a long explanation and an insight into my planning process.

In the beginning, I was open to the idea of Pokemon like Swanna (one of the first in fact) as well as Sir Gulps and Alolan Grimer because Pokemon in the world were something that came to me in bits and pieces.

The way I planned the Episodes of the game is somewhat similar to TWST canon with a little twist, a whole lot of worldbuilding on the Pokemon World part, and a list of Pokemon that I keep for Soni's PC that I planned long before I posted anything on Tumblr. You know, that sort of thing.

But as time went on, the idea to keep track of every Pokemon that's been mentioned in the asks became less fun, which is the number one killer in any fanfic or fandom. Thus, I put this out there for the sake of keeping this fanfic alive and the world that I made with it up and running.

Please don't ask me about adding more Pokemon when there's a whole bunch of them already in place; I'm just going to get tired of it faster and then take a year-long hiatus from the fic entirely to not think about it.

Spoilers For Games/Fanfiction (again, "The Eternal Blooming Flower", but for more reasons): Please don't send me those because I don't think anyone likes those for a piece of content that they want to play or read. This isn't just for me, but for everyone.

During an early portion of this Tumblr, I got spoiled for a portion of the PLA (the way the MC gets to Hisui) and I hadn't even played it yet because of school and other responsibilities + the fanfic. I still haven't, but the Pokemon fandom has been talking about it enough that I just caved and watched a playthrough of it.

If you want to talk about what happens in "The Eternal Blooming Flower" and spoiler stuff in said-fanfic, leave a comment on the fanfiction itself than send an Ask to me for the sake of not spoiling others on the latest chapter on Tumblr.

I know that it's tempting to throw me an Ask because of the seemingly quick responses that I give out, but I'm going to rein in those responses or ignore them altogether for the sake of everyone who's yet to read the story. With that, I'm sorry to anyone who wandered onto my Tumblr and saw the asks pertaining to the latest chapter 😓
