INSTRUCCIONES:

Lo que yo hago primero es cocer las lentejas en agua con sal y un poco de ajo en polvo, para que las lentejas tengas un sabor más complejo que solo sabor lenteja,

Lo siguiente es picar la cebolla, la zanahoria, la papa y el ajo. Yo los pico en cubitos pequeños. Todo esto, menos el ajo lo pongo a freir con la mantequilla.

El ajo lo pongo hasta el final para que no se queme. Luego del ajo, le pongo las lentejas ya hechas, el jitomate picado y luego la pasta de tomate con tantita agua y los cubitos knorr.

En este punto lo pruebo y checo el sabor. Le pongo sal y especias y al final le pongo los chícharos.

Esta receta la puedes acompañar con arroz y las porciones de duplican, pero esta vez esto fue el plato fuerte.

how the 2008 stock market crash led to jenson button's WDC

jenson was racing for honda through 2006-2008 and had been familiar with the honda engine since around 2003. when the stock market crash occurred, honda realized they did not have enough money to keep funding the F1 team in 2009 as they needed to focus on their own business. the team would cost them 300 million USD and they ended up having to layoff their staff of 700 right after the stock market crash. they pulled out LAST minute (literally at the end of the 2008 season) and at that point, they had already had a car. both the drivers for honda (barrichello and button) couldn't find a seat last minute, and here comes ross brawn.

they were eventually saved by their team principal ross brawn, who was a really amazing strategist (teams that he has worked with have won 8 constructors' championships and 8 drivers' championships) and also was the technical director behind the benetton and ferrari championship-winning teams. he was pretty much responsible/led michael schumacher to victory for his 7 wdc. honda sells him and the chief executive nick fry the team.

and–get this, the team was sold for 1 pound. ONE SINGULAR POUND. to this day, honda's boss still has the pound coin Brawn used to buy the team. although the team could've been seen as a continuation of the Honda team, the FIA considered Brawn GP a completely new entry.

going into the 2009 season, they had no engine, because honda refused to supply it for them. at the last minute, mercedes supplies them engines (at this point merc supplies mclaren with engines too) but the mercedes team kept saying that the engines were built for the mclaren car, not the honda/brawn car. brawn was like "let's have it anyways" and they bought the mercedes engines.

there was even a loophole brawn found that wasn't even against the rules (although there was a lawsuit about it and ofc a bunch of team principals were upset about it, notably christian horner, but it was completely legal)

The most obvious visual differentiator on the Brawn car was its double-decker diffuser. The new regulations had intended to strip the cars of downforce by reducing the size of the diffuser, but a loophole was left open that allowed for a second diffuser to be built into the crash structure and fed by two very controversial holes in the floor of the car. A bigger diffuser created more low pressure under the car, which created more downforce and allowed higher cornering speeds.

going into the 2009 season, no one really expected them to be fast, of course, going under massive management changes and even drivers taking massive paycuts (jenson took a 5 million pound pay cut at the beginning of the season). the drivers were even told that they couldn't crash because they didn't have enough parts:

Above all else, the team could not afford a major accident as it simply didn't have the parts to replace a wrecked chassis.

and here's something from reddit saying that even a team that was essentially created in a few months had at least 3 chassis for 2 drivers (williams is shivering their timbers rn)

also, very notably, the car was practically NAKED (next to zero stickers!)

they were sponsored by like 4 companies: virgin airlines, MIG investments, henri lloyd, and perkinelmer. so, yeah, very naked car compared to what we see today.

you can also see jenson's suit here, and notice it's very bare! there's next to zero sponsors! for some races, they would have a couple of sponsors where they would put the stickers on, and then take it off after the race.

of course, with the lack of financial stability in the team, they only had the ability to upgrade 1 car at a time because of the lack of money.

in a shocking turn of events, at pre-season testing, they were like WTF when they saw they simulation showed that they were 1-1.5 seconds quicker than the field. and EVERYONE at the factory was freaking out, saying "surely these numbers are wrong." and then they checked the numbers, and they are still faster than everybody.

in a miracle type of god-given wish, button with brawn win the first race of the 2009 season in australia! he's even .2 seconds clear of barrichello in qualifying, and to this day, brawn's first win on its debut stands out as one of F1's biggest moments. jenson wins 6/7 of the first few races, then falls off a lil (but only retires once in the entire season). he is beaten by sebastian vettel a couple times, who ends up coming 2nd in the WDC, and rubens ends third (he's upset brawn prioritizes jenson over him but he has the championship lead, so it's only really fair they prioritize him).

on their debut season, they go on to win the constructor's championship and jenson wins the driver's championship!

it's a really impressive story, and one can definitely see the causation between the stock market crash and jenson button's wdc!

How does this compare to Maxis clothes?

I didn't go through every clothes they've made, but crop shirt, short sleeve wise, the largest poly count i saw was 4.2k That's a ratio of 160: 21 or 8: 1 if we make 4.2k into 4k.

for jeans, the largest i saw was 1,270. That's a ratio of about 85: 3 or 28.33333...: 1 if you want an easier number.

For bikini/under/etc the average was 1000~ so for ease sake, we'll use that. That's a ratio of 22: 1.

2. MESH VISUALS

This covers as stated... mesh visuals such as clipping or just looking nothing like it's advertised.

Problems 1 & 2:

for simplicity's sake, I'm using CAS poses. I think if it fails to look good in CAS it definitely won't look well in game.

Texture Type: 100% alpha, could not be mistaken for maxis.

Texture Quality: the texture is rather blurry and over-saturated in comparison to more higher quality CC clothes.

**Disclaimer: I don't play with the HQ mod so idk if it looks better with it.

3. WEIGHTS

This section kind of overlaps with #2 so look back up for review.

Aside from what was shown up there, when walking (for the open jeans) the crotch area again clips between itself as well as ankle seen in the left leg.

for the unopened jeans, no immediate issues seen when walking (same for the shirt & thong)

reason: clipping could be fixed by simply deleting unnecessary body mesh/ possibly minor weight tweaks

4. UV TEXTURE (mapping)

This section is meant to answer the question, "Will any conflict with other parts such as shoes, hats, etc?" Using the sims 4 UV map template as my guide, here are the results:

All four correspond to their proper sections and shouldn't conflict texture wise with other CAS parts

5. UNIVERSABILITY

This section covers questions like, "Does this work for large muscular and/or fat sims? Does it work if my sims are the lowest body mass?

TLDR; answer: Yes.

Answer: I only checked the top and opened jeans (as it's the worst mesh of all 4) and with muscles and fat at the max both simultaneously and respectively, there were no additional clipping or issues such as it not following with the body changes. The same could be said when both (or one) was dropped to the lowest.

What is it? Four days spent with other fic writers, at all levels of experience. There will be a mix of workshops (Topics TBA and open to suggestions), prompts and challenges, and plenty of independent writing time for your own personal projects. It’s also an opportunity to make connections with people who share your interests and passions, and where you can focus on your own goals and creativity.

Lentil Soup (Hell yeah)

A personal favorite. I was running late while making this recipie so I kinda rushed things but here we go:

INGREDIENTS:

1/4 onion (14.74 MXN | 0.74 USD)

2 bacon strips (optional) (5 MXN | 0.25 USD)

4 Carrots (5.3 MXN | 0.27 USD)

4 Small sausages (equating to about 2 normal ones) (8.4 MXN | 0.42 USD)

About 400g raw lentils (30 MXN | 1.50 USD)

2 Small tetrapacks of tomato paste x (15 MXN | 0.75 USD)

Salt (2 MXN | 0.10 USD)

Pepper (2 MXN | 0.10 USD)

Garlic powder (or 3 garlic cloves finely minced) (5 MXN | 0.25 USD)

About 2 liters of water (3.8 MXN | 0.19 USD)

1 Caldo de pollo Knorr cube (1.7 MXN | 0.085 USD)

TOTAL: 92.94 MXN | 4.65 USD

INSTRUCCIONS:

Dice the onion and put it to fry with a little bit of oil

While it is cooking, cut the bacon into small squares. I used bacon this time, just because i had some laying around. Add it to the onions. While this cooks peel and dice the carrots and them.

Now dice the sausages. What i do is cut them in half and then in half again, leaving me with 4 long kinda triangles and just cut them at the same time into smaller little cubes. When onion is soft just add and stirr.

Now it's time to add the spices. Add salt, pepper and garlic powder. I used the powder and not the actual garlic bud just because i was really late and didn't want to add more time to the cooking by mincing garlic. But if you prefer the garlic buds instead of garlic powder, you would add the minced garlic at the same time as the sausages as to not burn the garlic.

Next thing to do is dump the 2 tetrapacks of tomato paste. Remember to add a little water to the tomato paste container and shake well after you empty it to use the most out of the paste. Then add the water, the chicken broth cube and the lentils and bring to a boil.

When it boils lower the flame and taste the liquid part of the soup only and adjust salt. Let simmer for about 30 mins. You'll know it's done when the soup thickens and the lentils doubled in size. Also it starts to smell very strongly like lentils (pleasant smell). Rectify salt again and serve!

I can honestly say it's my favorite soup along with noodle soup. Plus it's really cheap and feeds us for days!

Hello, I am Nell, a Malaysian trans woman living with my retired mother.

I haven’t yet been able to find a source of income that pays as much as the position I’ve left in January, but bills continue to pile up, especially as a consequence of our prior eviction in December 2022 and needing to relocate to an area with higher utility tariffs.

Very few boy groups can confidently say they a had successful 2023 run, and the fact that LOOPiN can include themselves in the lucky few despite the looming shadow of their problematic former co-parent company, Blockberry Creative, is a miracle: after all, they became a 2 million seller group last year, won 8 music shows trophies in total - an 80% growth -, and conquered the heart's of knets with their summer release ‘Beatbox’ and their last title track of the year, 'Tell Me What To Do', which is still charting at the time of writing this article on major Top40s.

It's easy to see that any project coming from the group after 'Internet War' promotions would hardly fly under the radar, and choosing to finally quick off their visual and storyline rebrand in connection to such a well received album seemed to be the perfect recipe for success right at the start of 2024. Turns out it wasn't, partially for reasons beyond New Wave Music’s control, yes, but we're yet to get there.

Coming to its conclusion on December 29th, New Wave's storyline focused project 'Walk The Maze' - an attempt to introduce brand new units to LOOPIN unrelated to their past connection to LOONA - came to fruition through special music videos released every week of December, featuring escapes out of dystopian buildings and sentient robots, all to introduce the subgroups ‘ContraCult’, ‘IdenIdol’, ‘LiveLine’ and ‘InninS’.

It was to expect that after the mass dismissal of the entirety of New Wave’s concept department right after their departure with BBC in November 2022 - where over 21 employees were let go without proper warning or pay, if the former concept director for the group, Oh Yewon, is to be believed; a matter that’s been settled privately between her and CEO Seo Changyuk away from public eye -, the quality of anything cinematic coming from the group would have decayed, but LOOPiN has been working side by side with the small video effects company GOLDWORK Studios and making it work splendidly in visuals; uncoincidentally, GOLDWORK is a subsidiary of chinese commercial studio giant XLV Media, created and managed by J.J’s father, Xu Lianghui.

But despite all the secure outside investment and hype initially built around ‘Walk The Maze’, the members’ personal affairs have, as they so often do, come in the way of smooth success. The conspiratory delays involving LOOPiN for the past 2 years as well as the upcoming girl group act from New Wave Music have raised suspicion of the company's ability to survive another year.

On December 29th, ‘Walk The Maze’s final day, the official site created to house the eventual immersive ‘quests’ to immerse iNSYNCs into the member's new characters and their realities. The overall prize for concluding all 4 was direct access to a mp3 file bearing a re-recording of LOOPiN’s debut single Love Me Right, this time featuring Gyujin - which went public a day later. After the conclusion of the game the site showed a tight schedule for the rest of the semester, promising the restart of Boy Of The Week format and the release of solo singles from every member starting from February. But here is where complication comes.

After all, two weeks before the turn of the new year, New Wave’s trainee team RIIDEWAVEE won ‘Show Me The One’, the reality show where Mnet would provide a ‘premium debut experience’ to upcoming acts from medium to small companies. By contract obligations shared over Dispatch soon after the trio made up of Dahyung, Chaeun and Furumi disappeared from all social media in early January, New Wave Music has until mid February to debut them in a group, or else they’ll have to pay a ₩8,012,349,438 (6 Million USD) fine to Mnet for breaking contract. To no surprise, all the company's resources seem to have gone into making it happen, and its effects on what’s planned for LOOPiN has already been announced: on January 13th, New Wave released a note explaining the scrapping of the singles in the former Boy Of The Week format, choosing to release them all together as a full album on a undecided date. 

In some sort of retaliation, Dylan has apparently responded to the cancellation by releasing his own set of solo songs on the 21th – originally 10, but now counted on Spotify as 9 after the track ‘Little League’ was deleted –, which doesn’t seem to be a full group pleaser; the one day long unfollow from Seungsoo and Haegon raised eyebrows among fans, who are always on edge with intern fighting rumors in LOOPiN.

In the middle of it all, the Japanese fashion house VIANFINO has announced the end of their exclusive contract with Haruki. The decision to let the Idol, who had been appointed as an ambassador for Monica Amano’s brand in April 2022, is strongly speculated to be made after the Idols skipped his scheduled appearance in Milan Fashion Week last September without properly notifying VIANFINO. Despite ending his contract on the 11th, New Wave nor Haruki have acknowledged Monica’s sweet natured departure statement, where the designer regards him as someone she’ll surely keep cheering for on a professional and personal length.

The final nail in the coffin for reputation compromise involving a LOOPiN member apparently has just come with the expose of Night Child’s Dongwook admission into a rehab facility on the 27th. J.J, who has been a public friend of his for months on end, has been excessively judged by NTCD’s fanbase for how quickly he went deleting all traces of Dongwook off his personal social media– hard enough for him to delete his Instagram and Tiktok accounts.

With all that happening in a single month, LOOPiN seems to have retroceded to their infamous ‘curse’ of challenging starts to promotional years. Although, if New Wave Music is really looking for a way to suppress it, enrolling the members in a long due intense media training course might be a good start.
