UNITRIX 10K!

After years of working as an assistant under Azmuth, by the era of Ben 10K, Eunice has begun to branch out and work on her own projects, such as building a database of endangered species of fauna from across the galaxy. With a heavily retrofitted Nemetrix as a tool for collecting and cataloging DNA, using it with her own savestate of human DNA to transform halfway into any species it has saved in its active roster without any of the deleterious effects it would have on any other sentient user, she travels the universe looking for any species in need of preservation.

Yup all four are in my au, I’m just not quite satisfied with Kai’s design so she’ll have a separate post.

I’ve changed Eunice’s backstory a bit seeing as the main team meets her a lot earlier. They first meet Eunice when azmuth takes them to his workshop where Eunice lives and is azmuths second assistant. She doesn’t know that she’s a machine and believes she’s fully human. She’s very naive and calls azmuth her uncle lol

What's your reasoning for liking Ben X Eunice? Personally I've always seen them as siblings but I'd love to hear what makes you think of then in that way

You see them as siblings?? Anon, that is WILD considering the way they were making bedroom eyes at each other only five minutes after meeting.

As Kevin puts it:

"Dude. You're drooling."

To be fair, I am also not immune to seeing a gorgeous woman wearing my clothes. I'd have my brain leaking out of my ears 🙏

And the way that Eunice giggles after Ben's stupid ass falls in the water—

I love Gwen's expression here, you can tell that she knows EXACTLY what's going on and isn't enjoying watching this AT ALL. (Gwen, Ben had to be a witness to you keeping Kevin's sweaty handkerchief, you can deal with him and Eunice flirting for a day!)

Gwen and Kevin also refer to Eunice as Ben's girlfriend. Gwen saying, "this was supposed to be the three of us, not the three of us and Ben's new girlfriend," and Kevin jokingly saying, "man, you cannot keep a girlfriend."

Kevin also says, "She's way too good-looking for you," which I think is really funny, lmao.

Their flirtatious banter does a good job of being suitably-awkward for teenagers while also being just really earnest and cute.

"You're awful at flirting."

"Sorry, I'll stop."

"I said it was awful. I didn't say stop."

"Does it bite?"

"No, but I'm pretty sure that bear you were going to fight for me does."

Eunice is just really quick-witted and she does a great job of teasing Ben without being mean. There's just so much fondness oozing from her, it's so soft, I love it. She woke up in the forest with three strangers and knew two things: 1) her name, 2) that she loves this fuckin' dork who gave her his jacket.

"Come here often?"

Ben is literally the worst at flirting, I kind of love it 😭 NOT THE TIME, BEN!

I think it's so sweet that Ben was willing to fight Azmuth for her, too. He's only known Eunice for a day and is already ready to throw hands if someone disrespects her.

He's also quick to comfort her even though he clearly doesn't want Eunice to go. Eunice leaves him with a little parting gift, and Gwen asks:

"What did she give you?"

"Something beautiful."

Ben's answer isn't referring to just the flower, he's talking about their time together. It was brief, but beautiful, and a little part of him fell for her that night even though it was never meant to last.

They're not the craziest relationship ever, I just think there's a lot to like here with these two characters and I don't know why more people don't love Eunice. She's got a surprisingly distinct personality for someone with no memory and only two appearances.

I'm ngl Eunice/the Unitrix was an underrated concept and narratively the best option if they really wanted a serious romantic subplot for Ben besides his heroics. Not only did the writers give them chemistry (oh, so they do know how to do that) but they can quite literally connect because both of them are physically connected through their DNA to the Omnitrix. The only potential negative is that her life would almost always revolve around him but that's debatably even a negative. Work around that conflict and you've got a solid romantic subplot.

I kinda like albedos story too much (some headcannons sprinkled in)

He was jealous of azmuth getting all the credit within galvan society but admired him greatly enough to dedicate his life to being azmuths partner to learn and get better than him

Azmuth agrees because he can't be bothered to argue and refuse albedo, he's too consumed with his vision for the omnitrixs construction... the perfect apology to her, the perfect apology to the universe for all he'd done with askalon

Azmuth makes good headway with the omnitrix, creating the unitrix as a proof of concept however albedo keeps butting in with ideas of genetic perfection, changing things without asking, slowing azmuth down and all around being his arrogant self

Azmuth gets sick of albedo and abandons him on galvan prime, finds his way to xenon and begins work, though gathering dna samples and doing the grunt work required is beneath him... he finds a criminal called myax (perfect, because she doesn't have any notions of genius that would distract her), azmuth brings her to xenon to help with work on the omnitrix but people come in search of him because they hear of his construction of the next great weapon like askalon-- azmuth builds xenons defences and continues work

Myax gets sick of azmuth being a jerk and eventually prepares to leave with a bunch of stolen tech she can fence for a small fortune... before she does this she sticks it to her boss by adding her own dna signature to the device overwriting his (azmuth wouldn't even think to check something so trivial as he was finishing the device)

Azmuth finally completes his prototype however gets word that vilgax the warlord is searching for it, he sends it to the plummer agent of earth who's already defeated vilgax in hopes it would be safe there while he works on his next project (he got sick of how much trouble the watch was bringing to his door even with the defences so just shipped it away)

Obviously Ben gets the watch instead of max, soto happens and azmuth eventually goes back home, reuniting with albedo while he works on his next project, terraforming galvan b

Abledo gets more and more frustrated that this human child seems to use the watch as a toy when it could be so much more, he still holds ambitions of creating perfected genetically pure life forms rather than emulating nature's sloppy work

Albedo eventually makes his own knockoff omnitrix, but he can't modify it to add his evolution function because it's still linked with the original omnitrix, and it's so locked down and secure that he can't add or change features without the original

Af happens blah blah

Albedo learns azmuth is working on another omnitrix, the ultimatrix (just a perfected version of the prototype, meant to fix the glitches and power inefficiency and the playlist size limits etc no evolution feature)... and worse yet he's planning to give it to the human! Not even the original one but the one who got it by accident

Albedo steals it, and given that it's not completely finished yet and doesn't have all the safeguards in place yet that azmuth was going to re-enable after working on it- he can finally add his evolution feature and prove his superior mind (he doesn't even think to add any safe guards or firewalls to the device)

However it's still linked to Ben's original omnitrix (because azmuth was planning in giving it to Ben with all the aliens he was currently used to) he couldn't achieve ultimate galvan form as hed always wanted

And when he finally has what he's been after... its still not enough... he's still jealous of azmuth so takes his mind for himself... and only then does he see what he has become...

Aaannd then that damn human comes along again and takes away his epiphany...

I'm currently coming up ideas for a potential romance for Ben and I only have 2. One is a crossover ship that I am not going to say in case a tumblr user will flame me and two is a reworked Eunice(No connection to Ben or Gwen ala shared dna and might be a frankenstein type creation of a mad scientist using the blueprints of the unitrix to create the perfect alien cross breed.) Tbh, I'm kinda stuck.

She's already a perfectly viable love interest. Gwen's DNA being randomized means she's literally no more actually related to Ben than any random person on the street. Max literally points out there's only a difference of like .1% of DNA species wide for humanity and that's true irl too.

Eunice is a girl who is a good friend to Ben. She is actually the Unitrix, which is a prototype Omnitrix which can absorb and contain DNA of various different species. Uni means one, Omni means all. She can copy someone else's powers into her own.

The video, though amusing, was eventually deleted to ensure Bumblebee remained undercover. Dart had provided an abridged explanation of how they were able to transform—the “watch” on their wrist was the real source of the ability. They carefully left out how the Omnitrix was sapient and much slower to forgive all the overly curious prodding.

It had been largely silent as Dart watched the resumed training session from inside.

Until now that was.

‘…I have mentioned my sister before, yes?’

‘Yeah. Eunice. Or rather the Unitrix?’

‘She has preferred Eunice since the moment she activated. Technically, she would be my older sibling if you went off of creation date. But I was activated before her so she’s younger by a few earth years.’

Dart tried to come up with the context for the sudden reminder, then they narrowed in on the shared connection.

‘Do the Malto kids remind you of her?’

‘…Somewhat. It’s your galvanic Mechamorph form that brought up the memory.’

The Omnitrix user let the confusion show on their face despite the sparing session going on outside. Really, Cybertronians lived up to the noise you would expect from giant robot aliens. Dart knew to let the Omnitrix find the right words to articulate—sharing things instead of bottling them up was still new. Both of them were working on gradually being able to discuss the past. (The talk with Azmuth would happen at some point whether they were ready or not.)

A small barely audible beep let out from the alien device, it had taken to these physical expression after crying during their mutual consoling of each other. Something about physically doing things helped it get out its frustration in small doses.

‘I will elaborate the context of this later, but Azmuth ended up creating an entirely new race. The Galvanic Mechamorphs. By our shared creator, they would all be my siblings too.’ It began, mental presence tinged with growing sadness. ‘Not all beings are created equal however. My Galvanic Mechamorph sibling by personal attachment would’ve been the youngest generated from the Helix.’

It sent the over two mental images—one of a very sickly, willowy yellow Galvanic Mechamorph and of a much bulkier red one that looked all kinds of overclocked.

‘Azmuth didn’t intend to make Malware after having already made a moon full of the species. He formed as the Helix was being powered down and subsequently came out the equivalent to a techno being’s sickly. This was before my creation, before Azmuth’s partial self exile to Xenon… Malware suffered from what boiled down to chronic pain spasms as his coding wrecked havoc on itself. For hundreds of your earth years.‘

‘What happened to him? You’ve speaking in past tense.’

‘Azmuth couldn’t figure out a way to help in time, so Malware took the matter into his own nanites. He overclocked himself by essentially absorbing excess charge from the Helix. It happened right in front of me… And then, Malware became one of the most dangerous enemies Ben ever faced. He was—put down years later for the safety of the universe.’

This situation struck Dart as odd given the numerous amount of times the Omnitrix itself was able to restore genetic damage.

‘He scared me. Malware didn’t upgrade tech and remember the blueprints of what he improved. He absorbed it to upgrade his own body leaving the devices themselves husks.’

‘Wait. So my version of Upgrade having that green to yellow gradient—���

‘Is a partial indicator of a sickly Mechamorph. Yes. From what my scans show, it is merely a subtle trait of your own unstable DNA. You are still leagues above Malware health wise.’

While there were some faint feelings of fear, the one Dart could most recognize was… guilt. Not at them. The final pieces clicked into place as they sunk into the couch. “Oh, Omnitrix… You wanted to help him, didn’t you?”

Not all siblings end up having good relations. The Omnitrix itself has few true regrets when all is laid out bare like this.

Oof. Poor Omnitrix having to remember Malware's demise and the possible What Ifs. At least they trust Dart enough to discuss this.

UNITRIX 10K Part 2!

The first three members of the Knight Errants. The trinity

Void: From the Until Dawn Verse. Void is the child of Michael Monroe and Samantha Giddings-Monroe. They die in the void between verses but their child lives and arrives in another verse. It becomes born as an ultimate, ever-adapting, self-gender controlling, less-than-human superbeing with powers based on itself, inverted versions of those powers, and all of the memories and experiences of both of its parents. It immediately reached the adult prime age but it stopped aging from there and now has the appearance of a pale, cordless, adult-size embryo fetus. Void can be empowered by the hero and slayer archetypes its parents adopted for years, thus its powers are limited only by that affinity.

Trix: From the Ben 10 Verse. Trix is the child of Ben Tennyson and Eunice. It's half a living being, half an artificial being but stronger than both. It can control its own gender and has the characteristics of a sentient unitrix in mobile DNA form but can develop the abilities of any Omnitrix, Ultimatrix, Biomitrix, Slime-Biot, Potis Altiare, and even the codon stream itself in the same sentient mobile DNA form. It can change into any species at will instead of having a piece of machinery attached to it. It can also become an Anodite and other non-DNA-based lifeforms. Trix's abilities are ultimately limited by its virtuous emotions due to the original Omnitrix being intended for peace and unity and due to its father using the device for heroism. Trix can have the abilities of the Nemetrix and be an anti-hero but no more lethal than the punisher and ghost rider.

The Avatar: From the Avatar Verse. Avatar Korra is from an alternate verse where a lion turtle imparts Avatar Wan with the knowledge of energybending after mastering all other bending arts, including spiritbending, and energybent/spiritbent both Raava and Vaatu, resulting in Vaatu becoming purified and Raava becoming Raavaatu, an avatar spirit with the powers, capabilities, and instincts of both Raava and Vaatu at their peak. Korra can survive and adapt to any environment and can master every possible bending art, specialized sub-bending technique, and non-bender skill to their fullest extent. She also has the avatar state which allows her to channel vast cosmic energies and the knowledge of previous Avatars, granting her increased strength and the ability to perform especially powerful and extraordinary feats of bending. Korra may unconsciously enter the State in response to the perception of mortal danger or high emotional stress, utilizing the State as a defense mechanism but she can have full conscious control over the State and can enter and exit it at will once she has mastered the state via mastering her chakras. Her worst and greatest weakness is internal imbalance.

Together, they are the Knight Errants. The greatest heroes and superpowered beings to ever live.

AWH I LOVED PIERCE... this is hard. i get so attached to a lot of the characters... I think Eunice is the main one coming to mind tho for like a minor character, bc she was barely in the show but she just fascinated me... funky lil Unitrix
