Getting stranded in a unfamiliar world sucks, especially if you're used to wearing clothes and the only ones you have with you, are the ones you're currently wearing.
Luckily the canon turtles were able to give their counterparts some change of clothes to wear while they're stranded, even if it's oversized.
For medical reasons Don is not in this picture.

I love the idea of humans being built different, it's even more fun when you get to unintentionally traumatized the other people :3
Sorry for late reply! I didnt realize i had mail 🥺💌

No fr, one of my fav tropes in "humans space orcs" fandom stuff over there, is like what we eat/strength equivalent/resistence to stuff = and the reactions thereof to it lmao
OH JUST HAD A FOUL THOUGHT
What if most things just bounced off of us as humans, bc the gravity in Hyrule is different than ours, i mean it is a diff planet (kinda?)
(This is not how gravity works, more like we could have extreme jumping, but roll with my bs science im an arts kid)
or like if we did get hit, it had nowhere near the impact of how it's hit a hylian, like for example: Guardians.
The guardians get possessed/copied into Dark versions after running around Wild's hyrule enough, and so not only is it 10x harder to beat than usual guardians, as its taking nearly half the chain trying to take it down (rather than like 2 usually)
And even better if ur out of the fight bc they still expect u to not be great at it, like ok ur temperature resistent, but thats not helpful in battle-
U get fucking hit by a Guardian Laser Beam, and everyone freezes, the Links fighting the guardian, the Links fighting the misc monsters, Wild mightve even screamed and came running after you-
And you just kinda, sit. Like someone pushed you while u were off balance, and u flopped on the ground, still sitting up even 💀
And ur chest is hot, but not burned or anything
Yeah, I'd love a universe of Humans ≠ Hylians
Maybe ill make a fic or like a bunch of oneshots abt this with Masc!reader, if anyone is vaguely interested in reading it
Otherwise id write it for myself and not bother posting LMAO
Peace out,
🌙

my favorite part of fandom is that specific moment when we all collectively go, "Oh yes, now blorbo needs to open a coffee shop" followed by the infamous "and they should fall in love w shitto while they're at it"

A bit of a redesign for Cryptid Twilight! This is the real one I promise (until I change it again). Everything from the original character sheet is still true, just like… pretend that his outfit is different.
I based this one off of his Ordon outfit since I liked it (seriously, Ordon clothes and Skyloft clothes go SO hard. I would wear them) but I still wanted to keep the green tunic that he got during his adventure. Classic Link stuff. Also I put his hair up so we can actually see his facial markings since they’re very important to his character. If he ever needs to hide them though, he’ll let his bangs fall over his forehead.
More Twi lore under the cut!
In my au, those with markings on their face have the powers of a God. I’m going to make an origin story for him at some point, but in the mean time have this:
• Twi was orphaned at a young age. Like, very young. He was a toddler when he was found wandering the woods outside of Ordon Village.
• No one really knows where he comes from. Or what he is. He acted like a normal child so the people of Ordon didn’t hesitate to take care of him, though it was a shock when he started shifting!
• He has no designated father figure or mother figure. Instead, he was raised communally by the people of Ordon. Loved like a son by every one of them and he loved them all just the same. He’d cycle through their houses until he was old enough to have his own. He’s great with children and animals and has the biggest family of all of the Links.
• He can only take the shape of animals that he’s seen before. So he cannot change his face to appear as a different Hylian or turn into a different cryptid. As a child, he shifted less often because he hadn’t seen many animals to imitate.
• If my understanding is correct, in Twilight Princess, Link turns into a wolf because he is in possession of the Triforce of Courage. This turns him into a beast instead of a spirit like everyone else when he’s forced into the Twilight. And then he’s cursed, stuck in that form for a while before he can meet the spirits and their light. Right? So for my au, the same kind of thing happens. Only, instead of him involuntarily being turned into a wolf, the curse is that he cannot change his shape. And even when the curse is “lifted,” he can only pick between two forms: Hylian or wolf. It is not until the very end that he gets his powers back.
• Midna.
• No one knows how or why he has the ability to shift. They don’t know if he was born or created. If he started as Hylian and then became something entirely different or if he was always a cryptid. But I, as the creator, can tell you that he has the ability to shift because he has the blood of a God in his veins. He is Time’s direct descendant. There’s more to this! But I’ll save it for the origin story. (Whenever I get around to writing it haha)

Unsoulmates, part three!
[Part One] [Part Two]
It becomes a tradition, after that. Morpheus and Hob will meet, at a cafe or a pub or completely by chance (their friend groups, it turns out, are bizarrely interconnected), and Morpheus will ask Hob if he's found his soulmate yet, and Hob will say no.
Their first few meetings, Hob makes a genuine effort to try and explain. To talk about the people he never would have met, the love he'd have missed out on, (the life he'd have missed out on), had he just sat around waiting for his soulmate to find him. About how freeing it is to get to know someone outside of those horrible soulmate-matching dates where you shake twenty people's hands in a row and move on when nothing happens.
Morpheus seems entirely baffled by it. Not just Hob's approach, but the rest, too, soulmate-matching organizations and the goddamn nightmare that is dating apps and that brief moment of panic when the other person tries to grab your arm on the first date. Hob is almost as curious about Morpheus' experience of soulmates as Morpheus is about his, but Morpheus shies away from even the blandest questions about his relationship status, so Hob is left to wonder- if Morpheus met his soulmate young, like Will did, so he's never lived with the pressure to find the One. If he believes that Destiny will bring his soulmate to him when it's time, and it's not his place to go looking. If he's cautious, gets to know a person on their own terms before touching them and finding out if they're a Match.
Hob would think that last one were the answer- Morpheus holds himself apart from other people, avoiding physical contact at all costs- were it not for the deliberate brush of Morpheus' fingers against his palm the night they'd met. At first he's terribly aware of where that mark would be, but it's easy enough to let the crush he'd been nursing fade to the background. Morpheus' interest in him is so clearly just academic curiosity, it'd be silly to dwell on it.
And even though the novelty of being listened to, if not fully understood, eventually wears off, Morpheus' curiosity is still heartwarming, and Hob, as a person, is not given to running out of things to talk about. And Morpheus proves shockingly eager to listen to him ramble about playing Hades and argue with him about what qualifies a good adaptation of a book.
It's nice. Settling. To be around him, in a way Hob doesn't know he's ever felt with anyone else.
Their fifth meeting, Hob spends the entire time gushing about Audrey, Audrey whose sister had introduced her to Hob because neither of them are terribly anxious to find their soulmate, Audrey who throws herself into helping Hob find the earbuds he lost at her house with the same fervor she applies to med school exams, Audrey whose laugh might be the most beautiful sound he's ever heard...
The look of- disgust? despair? anger? On Morpheus' face when Hob finishes that little tangent would almost be funny if it weren't so insulting.
Their meetings peter off after that. Not intentionally. But Hob will admit that his every waking thought becomes- slightly consumed, by Audrey, from the moment she looks at him sideways to make a terrible pun about roses. And even after Hob's found room in his head for other things, Morpheus is impossibly busy with some project he's working on with Will.
And suddenly it's been almost four months and they've barely spoken and Hob's rushing into a fancy bakery three minutes before they close, when he notices a familiar black coat at the back of the line. He takes a moment to straighten his jacket- this place is fancy fancy, polished in a way that makes him feel too poor to afford the oxygen inside the building- before he sneaks into line behind Morpheus.
Morpheus glances back at him and freezes, as though he'd planned to commit Bakery Robbery and Hob is now a witness.
"Hey," Hob says, grinning a bit too widely, in the vague hope that he can make them both forget the past months of awkwardness if he's just cheerful enough. "How's the playwriting going?"
Morpheus stares at him for a short eternity, then says, "Frustrating." It's the end of the sentence, but not the conversation. Hob knows he remembers that distinction.
He waits a moment, in case there's more that Morpheus wants to say. The line shuffles slowly forward- Hob really shouldn't have come here right after work, there are six people in line in front of Morpheus and only one incredibly stressed employee behind the counter.
"How is. Audrey?" Morpheus asks, uncertainly, just when Hob is beginning to think he should say something else.
Hob's fairly certain the smile on his face is answer enough to that question. "She's great. It's been. Great," he says, conscious of the fact that no matter how much he wants to wax poetic, Morpheus probably doesn't want to hear it. "She's actually- I'm going to meet her parents, this weekend," he adds, and once he's said the words aloud, it's hard not to bounce in place with sheer giddiness- he's going to meet her family! As her boyfriend! "That's why I'm here, actually. I wanted to bring something nice but the last time I tried to bake I set my kitchen on fire, so..." He shrugs, and nods at the counter.
"You really are in love with her," Morpheus says. That look is back on his face, that intense, almost visceral shade of pity. If anything it's stronger than the last time Hob saw it.
Hob, frankly, would prefer disgust. Or confusion, or scorn. I know what I'm getting myself into, he wants to say. I thought you understood that part, at least.
"Of course I am," he says instead, and the words only sound a little hollow. "Soulmates are stupid."
Another eternity passes. Morpheus makes a tiny move toward Hob, and for a brief, foolish moment Hob thinks he's going to kiss him on the forehead, as though he were a brother-in-arms dying on the battlefield.
"Then. Enjoy your dinner," Morpheus says, and turns back around.
And that's the end of the conversation.
The line keeps shuffling forward. Morpheus stares into the middle distance like a statue of some folkloric king. The woman in front of him shoots Hob several pointedly disgusted looks, and Hob- broods. Turns the question over and over again in his mind- Why is it so hard to understand that she doesn't need to be my soulmate? She's already perfect. I love her.
He doesn't ask. He doesn't get an answer.
And three weeks later, Audrey bumps into her soulmate at a concert, and he realizes she hadn't understood, either.

leverage pirate au
okay actually i want to talk more about this post
eliot is an ex solider for some sort of nobility, he hates uses guns after watching his boyfriend get his shoulder blown off, and he swears off guns and off the monarchy, jumping from pirate crew to pirate crew, never finding a place to 'settle' (as much as pirates can settle) until he meets nate ford
parker wasn't on any official crew, she would sneak onto a ship and steal their gold, before sneaking off before anyone noticed. she chose to stay with nate because she was still able to do what she did best, but with something new, something exciting (plus he let her hang out on the ropes, literally) she was raised on a rich man's ship, but she set out on her own when she was sixteen, honing her skills and gaining a name for herself
hardison was the forger. he taught himself how to do everything he knows in a small foster home. you want a map, he knows it well enough to create it from memory without needing any reference. he could navigate waters like it was no difficulty and create id papers out of basically thin air.
nathan ford is not a pirate captain, he is very adamant about that. he is on a ship that he is leading, and he is leading a crew of people but he is not a pirate captain. he's putting together a crew to take down his ex navy captain, who he was helping take down pirates stealing from noble ships.
sophie has grifted her way onto all sorts of ships, into all sorts of parties. no one has one clear defintion of who she is, but the britian nobility know her as the queen of india, the chinese government are hunting her for impersonating a princess, and most pirates are in awe of her. she's a legend, a story pirates tell to their other crewmates and an unknown to the people nate ford used to work for, unclear if she exists or is an exaggeration spread to scare them
nate ford used his last money that he has to build his ship, the lucille, which explodes once, gets attacked once, and set on fire twice. (hardison mourns it every time. if you get close enough to see the lucille, you'll notice four tally marks slashed into the wood next to the gold cursive, clearly done with a sword, or a knife)

Berdly has tried to bully/intimidate his classmates before. However, he’d either get ignored, get bullied back or, Kris’s case, becomes friendly with them because he gave up. Nothing he did ever worked.
… And then the new student arrived.
The new student was a very sensitive girl who wears her heart on her sleeve. This made her an easy target. An easy target Berdly decided to hit.
Again and again and again and again. Waiting for her to snap.
One day… She finally did.

"I mean...what even am I?"
"You're you, Don."
"You know that's not what I meant by that.."
It took Don a while to get back onto his feet after finding out he is, in fact, not a male turtle like he always thought he was. At least not biologically.

Trigun twinswap AUs are just the most absolutely goddamn terrifying thing to me
Like. Vash is ridiculously powerful. Absolutely op. Knives CANNOT overpower him. The only thing that keeps them on even playing grounds is that Knives knows so much more about their plant powers and Vash deeply fears them (and seems to even resent them at times in certain canons). But if Vash weren't holding back? If he let that absolutely world-crushing power unfurl and did whatever the hell he wanted before his last run caught up with him??? If he learned how to manage them so he didn't burn out??????
Fuck, dude

Apparently no matter how many people complain about it the message just doesn't get through. So here's one last ditch effort to try and help people understand. I would appreciate it if the Linkverse communities spread this around.
Younger fandom members, newer fandom members and LoZ Tumblr newbies listen up!
Linked Universe is a Zelda AU created by Jojo56830. It has its own fandom surrounding the comic Jojo makes and is an entirely self-contained Zelda sub-fandom.
Linked Universe is NOT the catch-all name for every single AU involving the Links being grouped together.
Most people in the fandom refer to these AUs as "Linkverses" or "Links meet AUs", but they can simply just be called Zelda AUs.
Why does this distinction matter? Because tons of creators who also have their own Linkverse AUs repeatedly and often get their works tagged as "Linked Universe" by people reblogging their art.
This, plain and simple, is discouraging and disrespectful. These creators are trying to make their own projects and have undoubtedly done a lot of work to make their ideas distinct and unique. To tag their work as LU forcefully groups their work in with an unrelated AU, simply because both AUs share the same basic concept. Not to mention, it muddies the water and makes it harder for people to recognise these AUs as being distinctive at first glance.
That being said, I understand it can be confusing to tell which AUs are their own separate entity and which AUs (of AUs) are attached to Linked Universe.
As a general rule of thumb, posts that are not tagged as LU should not be tagged as LU (to see the original tags click on the poster's username). But if after that you are still confused, ask someone. Please PLEASE do not make assumptions. You have no idea how much those assumptions might hurt the artist or might cause them to outright block you.
So TLDR
Linked Universe is a story about Links meeting.
But not every story about Links meeting is Linked Universe.
Stop tagging every Link's meet AU you see with Linked Universe tags, because it's getting ridiculous at this point.

I feel like if you think about it, Pearl could've rebelled from the rebellion itself. She could have said "I'm a free Gem now, I bow to no one! I'm leaving to explore the world/galaxy, goodbye!"
(and that would have given Pink/Rose seventeen more layers of trauma, but we're not going to get into that right now-)
But she didn't. She chose to remain by the side of her Diamond.
And I just gotta wonder, at one point did she stop staying out of her role as a servant and start staying out of love? When did the path of one perspective end and the other begin? Were they ever truly separate in the first place? It's clear that Pearl was in love with Rose for like, ever, but when did she decide that she was officially choosing her own love for Rose over her programmed loyalty to her? Did she ever fully separate the two feelings?

Guhhhh…. ASL brothers… AU thoughts… attacking my mind…violently.
Au where the D means demon and Sabo just grows up with two magical demons as brothers and a grandfather and as a result is capable of inhuman feats and just lives in the uncanny valley in everyone else’s mind. Maybe he can cast spells. Maybe he’s damned. Maybe he was an angel and has become fallen.
He met Ace and just thought he was a weird and angry kid having never heard of demons. Meanwhile Sabo is the one person nice to Ace as well as a ‘dumb human he can trick’ and they end up becoming a trouble duo cause Sabo wants to cause chaos but within reason. Then Luffy shows up who does NOT act like a demon cause of Shanks and Makino and they just become very strong freaky kids trying to figure out morality.
