Hello, Nora, have you read "Therapy Game" (manga) and "Unromantic Romance" (manhwa)? Both are my favorite BL. And I really love the uke from both stories (plus they are also power bottoms 😉).

Sorry if you already read them and don't like either one of them. Oh yeah, the second story are omegaverse (but not your typical setting, and one of the best omegaverse ever).

Hiii ~ I remember checking out the prologue of Unromantic Romance it seemed fun! But I can only read very few titles on Lezhin (only get by free coins) so I usually wait for one of the series I'm reading to finish before starting another. I'll definitely come back to it, but don't know when.

As for Therapy Game... I see others praising this series left and right, some of my mutuals at Twitter are big fans. All this time I was like "Omg it must be GREAT!!" and saved up so I could get it in print. Sadly, I don't understand the hype. Like, at all. Found it bland and not much different from the usual BLs I read and forget in a couple of months. I did like the top, though. He was cute & level-headed!

Pitch for another Mentopolis season

So, we know that Elias Hodge lives in the neo-futurist 1920s, but what if the setting/genre of the mind depends on whose mind it is and when? In other words, the core concepts stay the same, but their personalities and interactions with the setting depend on the individual's broader sense of reality.

I'm imagining a season set in the mind of a lower or middle class housewife in the early 1960s who's been carefully repressing things like her impulsivity and ambition in favor of her "feminine" attributes (humility, status consciousness, Fawn impulse) and is starting to reconsider her life after her kids leave home. Maybe one of them goes to college and starts protesting the war. Maybe she strikes up an overly-close "friendship" with another woman and starts rethinking her relationship to the nuclear family. Maybe she hears about the burgeoning feminist movement or reads The Feminine Mystique and starts to remember her childhood dreams and hyperfixations. Maybe something happens to her husband because of racial prejudice and the violence surrounding the push for the Voting Rights Act and she has to decide where that leaves her.

There's a ton you could do with a person's mind (as, naturally, people are complex and exist in all circumstances), and I like the idea of building a personal crisis around actual social and political history instead of an isolated ethical issue making sci-fi tech.

As much fun as I'm having doing my alternative run of DA2, one thing I really miss about my mage Hawke is his friendship with Merrill.

Those two are best friends and he's 100% supportive in her goals toward the eluvian. Ed has the humorous/charming personality, too, which bounces off super well with Merrill. He doesn't think any less of her for her usage of blood magic; if anything he's impressed by her level of strength and willpower. He's so ready to defend her from the other companions and the clan, and he's absolutely out here attempting to matchmake her and Carver....at least he is in my heart because the game won't let me, it's fine, I'm not bitter about it or anything-

But then my warrior Hawke? She has the diplomatic personality with quite a bit of direct/aggressive thrown in there and she ends up having the same attitude as that one party banter Aveline and Merrill have: "Merrill, you're clearly talented and meant for great things, but you're stupid," and that's so difficult for me to lean into. I'm trying to play Aris differently so she ends up being so condescending to Merrill, like she's trying to gently tell her to give up on the eluvian but it doesn't come off well.

Also if Carver was around, Aris would be the opposite of Ed, she'd look at the suggestion of her brother and Merrill getting together and be like, "No :) I don't think so :) I like Merrill, she's my friend :) but she's not right for Carver."

But I guess it makes sense; if you told him that Bethany would giggle and kick her feet and twirl her hair around Sebastian, Ed would've thrown him in the ocean as a warning. Meanwhile, Aris is like, "A handsome prince that could take my sister away from all of this? Wonderful, we just need to work on his incorrect views on mages, but that shouldn't be a problem :)"

Anyway I miss playing Hawke as the #1 Merrill stan.

Oh, don't mind me. Turning into a pile of goo on the floor because my boyfriend and my girlfriend both made very long, very romantic posts for Valentine's Day and reading them made me cry a little.
