eepy boy you stay on my mind ✨
Details + longer description under the cut!
[ID: A digital drawing of three busts of Tom Sturridge. He wears a grey suit jacket and white tee in all three busts. On the first one, he rests his cheek on his left palm and dozed off. In the second one, he's portrayed in a 3/4 angle facing the left with a stern expression. in the last one he's facing forward, looking sleepy. around the three busts there's a dotted line and hand drawn stars, along with lettering that reads "The Sleepiest Man Alive". the composition references early 2000s style edits.]
I honestly cannot believe I finished this!!! This illustration took me the longest I ever allowed myself to work on something, which was a full 5 days!
I’d like to thank @the-cloudy-dreamer and @bruce-wayne-simp for looking over this drawing in its earlier stages and helping me figure out a few things that weren’t looking right. Also major thanks to @chiron-crow and @softest-punk for the moral support! 💖✨
Also, have some details!

[Start ID. A digital drawing of Minos Prime from Ultrakill, who's wearing a strapless slit dress and sandals of the same deep purple. He faces towards and slightly to the right of the camera, his head is tilted further right. With one hand he gestures in a vague pointing motion, his arm folded and held close to his body. There is nothing in the background, but bracing himself on one arm, Minos is implied to be leaning against something about the height of a countertop. The background is a blank purplish black, save for three diagonal stripes in the colors of the bisexual flag. End ID]
Shading study that quite literally came to me in a dream two weeks ago, after this post apparently beamed itself into my mind
(also a few edits below the cut! they're very slight but whatever :])
[Start ID. Three different versions of the previous drawing. The first changes the tone of the lighting from blue to pink, and similarly the shading from pink to blue. The second replaces the faint black border with pink, purple and blue, syncing with the stripes in the background. The third combines both these changes. End ID]

Considering my entire portfolio is men in dresses, I felt specifically called out lol
[image description: a digital painting of smallish beans as Dulla-Dan from New Life SMP, with a skeleton horse. He is a headless man wearing a Victorian riding dress, holding his pumpkin head under one arm, the other resting on the flank of his skeleton horse. It is night, the pair is lit by the moon out of shot, and the eyes of his pumpkin head are glowing a bright soul-flame blue. End ID]

Wow thank you the advice it made a lot of sense !! really helpful in giving something to work with in the sea of endless resources that is the internet,, i am indeed curious about the specific ways you stylize anatomy or really any other things (i find your explanations to be very insightful and would be delighted to see more of what you have to say :D) and get some rest !!
AWESOME ok you didn’t specify so i picked my favorite thing to draw. legs!! admittedly biased towards muscular legs because i’m a cyclist and well. i’m my own free reference material. also i just like them. not sure how to describe how i go about them though? so i drew a few out for u. the top blue shape is the quadriceps kinda fused together— the more muscular someone is, the thicker the bottom section of it is, if that makes sense? also. most people have a decent amount of fat on their upper thighs. bottom blue shape is more like the bone and some of the outside structure

Gender/linguistic question: When someone has multiple preferred pronouns (like she/they), is it normal to use different sets of pronouns in the same sentence? Like, "They were wearing thick socks to keep her feet warm." I ran across a fanfic the other day that did this and found it a little confusing, but if I were writing something about a character that used multiple pronouns I'm not sure I'd know the best way to do it. Thoughts?
So on a professional “I edit things for money” level, I would call this an as-yet unaddressed grammatical question that should be handled on a case-by-case basis, mostly defined by what is most coherent in the situation. On a more casual “I read and write a lot” level, I mostly opt for splitting things sentence by sentence, because it’s a bit confusing to have multiple pronouns in the same sentence referring to one person. Unless you’re trying to be confusing. In that case slap pronouns in there in whatever order speaks to you. Highly recommend No Violins Allowed et al, the cardinal Bifrost Incident fic and also my personal favorite piece of writing of all time in terms of Spicy Pronoun Use.
