#untitled superhero project

BTW, I am absolutely going to put the whump fics on AO3, likely with light edits (that is too many uses of "probably", Jack; no one here is Spock).
So ... feel free to send more asks if you like. :)
Also, there will probably be more superhero 'verse soon. I know it's not as popular, but hey, brain juices are brain juices.

Parallels
Genre: Superhero, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Spy, Mystery
Synopsis: A group of ordinary people who live mundane lives all wake up together in a dreamworld/other dimension where they have superhuman abilities. This other reality is parallel to theirs, just with scifi/fantasy elements thrown in that are typical of a superhero universe. Part of the mystery is finding out how they are all brought to this other reality, and why they were “chosen” to connect as dreamers/heroes, but it becomes more difficult since the dream picks up where it left off if they go unconscious in the Superhero Reality/Mundane Reality, which leads to realities blurring.
I haven't really explored The Mundane Reality parts all that much yet, so this is mostly the superhero aspects that I've been developing/posting 😅

Knightsbridge Hollow*
Genre: A mix of mystery, comedy, fantasy, spy, and slight horror
Setting: 1961-62, British Countryside
Synopsis: Set in the Parallels universe, immortals John and Muriel Traxton move to the little English village of Knightsbridge Hollow after a disastrous attempt at living in the city outside of the pocket dimension they had been calling home since their marriage. Muriel wants to attempt a "normal" life, and John is just going along with it because he loves his wife and wants to support this endeavor. This, however, comes to bite them when it turns out that Knightsbridge is a magnet for all sorts of mana-infused people and creatures...and it seems like all of the creatures are working under someone who has it out for Muriel...

Sci Fi WIP Universe (it has a name but you have to find out on Patreon hehe)
Genre: Sci Fi
Setting: Thousands of years in the future, after humanity has colonized the known galaxy
Synopsis: I have three stories (so far) in this universe, all at different points in time!
Main Story - The one that I hope to write in the future that serves as the introduction to the universe these stories are set to take place in. Thrust into the seat of power after her father was assassinated, Empress Ariadne Fenway II has to contend with a planet of people who have been under the heel of the Fenway Dynasty for far too long and are ready to revolt as she tries to enact reforms to help make reparations. Ultimately she is forced to flee when a charismatic member from the Priest Sect who calls himself “The Demagogue” joins forces with a rival noble house on the planet and enacts a coup.
Tags: #untitled sci fi wip | #untitled sci fi story
Assassin Story - Follows two genetically-engineered assassins--Taran and Renata--as they navigate their new lives after breaking away from their masters and deciding to do things on their own terms. They have to come to rely on each other to avoid bounty hunters and other mercenaries sent after them, oh, and the Death Squad the Assassin Makers send to liquidate their AWOL assets. Set a century or two prior to the Main Story.
Tags: #assassin story
Shadow Sector - Takes place about a hundred years after the Main Story. The setting is on a massive research station in what has become known as "The Shadow Sector," following a widower, Shaw, and his three girls as isolationist genetically-engineered human societies start reintegrating back into the Imperium. This includes Representative deGrav'aine being sent to the Station as part of an exchange program for the GEs and Baseline humans to trade their knowledge. Unknown to the Imperium at large, there are some GEs and Baselines who are opposed to the commingling of races, and will do anything they can to put a stop to it, even perhaps starting a war.

hey, everyone!
My name is Ley (pronounced like "Lee," she/they) and I'm a fiction writer/editor based in the PNW. I haven't done a proper writeblr intro in a while, so I figure the new year is a great time to reintroduce myself to the community!
— about me
An important thing to understand about me and the way I talk about writing is that this stuff is literally my entire life. Even outside of work, I don't think I have a single interest or hobby that doesn't relate back to storytelling in some capacity. I'm an avid media consumer and critic, and will hyperanalyze just about anything that catches my fancy for more than a minute.
I love science fiction and fantasy, and my goal as a writer is to take all the genres I loved growing up and create stories that are a little more diverse, inclusive, and queer.
— about the blog
I came to writeblr mostly to share my work, but also to find an active community where I can get excited with other writers and talk shop. Marketing is obviously a really important part of the publishing industry, but I get tired of having to filter every thought I have about my work and experiences through the lens of aesthetic micro-trends just to put it out in the world. Sometimes I just want to pop off about scenes I'm proud of, you know?
Above all else, I really just want to connect with more writers like myself, ones who got their start in fandom spaces and are working to take their writing from a hobby into a career. I see you, I am you, I love you, let's be friends!
You’ll definitely see me posting and reblogging a lot of stuff that isn’t necessarily related to writing, so be ready for that. My art exists in the context of my personality and the world as a whole, and I simply do not have it in me to maintain a whole separate blog for silly nonsense and memes. Just consider it a way to get to know the writer as well as the writing!
— about my writing
I write a lot, though most of it is disconnected nonsense. Flash fiction and short stories are where I really thrive as a writer. I don't tend to commit to long-form projects, but I have a few projects that I'll occasionally share details about!
I like to describe my style as "earnest and character-forward," which is a fancy way of saying that I like driven protagonists who think too much and are emotional to the point of it being a character flaw.
My goal is to share more of my original writing moving forward, so hopefully you'll get to see all of this for yourself. If I'm totally honest, though, you'll probably see more of me discussing my work than actually writing it.
— about my projects
Here are the things you'll most likely see me posting about:
Agnomen: A sci-fi retelling of Hamlet and Coriolanus, currently in its very preliminary stages. It is literally my Roman Empire, except it's set on a moon of a planet that I'm calling Jupiter as a placeholder (but please note that it isn't actually Jupiter, as Jupiter is a gas giant and therefore a scientifically impossible setting for large sections of the plot).
Alter Ego: A superhero fic in which not-so-mild-mannered reporter Drew Derrick fights for mutant rights and can't seem to get his act together when it comes to keeping the complicated parts of his life separate.
Untitled Fantasy Project: The very first project I ever wrote, and the piece I return to every so often when writing is feeling more like a slog than a fun hobby. I set a lot of one-offs in this world and follow a few key characters around without them having a real plot.
D&D: I write a lot about Baz, my Wild Magic Barbarian. He's a regency noble with a lot of problems, and I care about him very much. I also have various other settings and characters, but he's my most active PC at the moment and therefore gets the most attention.
Short Stories: Sometimes I write these, and sometimes I like them enough to share!
— tag directory
ley rambles: my (often wordy) opinions about things
ley writes: not necessarily my writing, but talking about my writing
my writing: stories, blurbs, and other content I've written
not my writing: reblogs and creative writing that I liked, shared, and sometimes commented on

Warner Bros. Discovery announced a bunch of greenlights at Annecy, including a reboot of a certain Craig McCracken show! No, not one involving kindergarten superheroes.
Foster's Imaginary Nursery has a new name: Foster’s Funtime for Imaginary Friends. While Variety says Cartoon Network Studios, the poster shows Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe. This is the preschool spinoff of Foster's, which is interesting to see after what they did to Jessica's Big Little World, and we can only hope this doesn't have the same fate. Craig McCracken has promised that it will have the same fun pace, but with a simpler structure and with less cynical humor.
Adventure Time may have had an adult-focused spinoff with Fionna and Cake, but that doesn't mean Adventure Time's original demographic will forever be left out: Adventure Time: Side Quests. Unlike the last few Adventure Time series, these side quests will be episodic, and probably better for reruns.
One greenlight we know absolutely nothing about, and one that came as a complete surprise, is Untitled Regular Show Project. How are they going to continue Regular Show after that regular epic final battle? The only things we know is that J.G. Quintel is still heading it and it will feature characters from Regular Show.
Along with greenlit shows, they announced some projects in development:
We got another Scooby-Doo show in the works. Go-Go Mystery Machine involves Shaggy and Scooby going to Japan, accidentally unleashing a bunch of yokai, and having to get help from Scooby's uncle, a Shiba Inu named Daisuke-Doo and his two friends.
Adventure Time isn't just getting a new school for the kids, it's getting a show for the younger kids, too. Adventure Time: Heyo BMO stars BMO in a new neighborhood with new friends as he goes on a quest to learn and fill his database. (Variety says this is from a description; Cartoon Network's pronouns for a non-binary character, not Variety's or mine.)
Other projects: Untitled Barbara Throws a Wobbler Project. Another one for preschoolers, and one based on a book. The Adventure Time Movie is still going to happen, with Rebecca Sugar of Steven Universe and early Adventure Time fame serving as creator. Bad Karma, a family movie project set in a mythical fantasy world. Finally, the only one in this article that is not a kids show: Lovey Dovey, a show by one of the writers of Harley Quinn about a dove who wants to look for his true love that ends up getting stuck with a bunch of streetwise pigeons who want to, quote, "screw the large bird from a popular kids TV show."
The Amazing World of Gumball has its own panel tomorrow, and Annecy has banners proclaiming that "more Gumball" is coming.

... ⠀⠀יִיִ⠀𝃣 ⠀⠀ writeblr intro ⠀⠀ 💌 ⠀⠀ ── ⠀⠀ ;
hello ! my name is third king january but feel free to call me third or january ( or any other nickname you'd like ) ! i'm a twenty two year old black lesbian pursuing a graphic design major with a minor in art history and creative writing—considering media studies—who uses they/them pronouns !
ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧ :⠀ 🍓. i think this may be my third or fourth time trying out a writeblr, but the other attempts didn't go well since i was busy and didn't put a lot of effort into interacting with my mutuals </3. this time around, i really want to be a part of the community and be more supportive of everyone's writing! my goal for this account is to share my wips, any writing, and keep motivated to do more than just stare at a blank document for hours </3.
i'm a big reader and i plan to share some of my recently reads on this blog. please feel free to send me book recs if you think it's something i might like or if you just wanna ramble about something you read that you really liked! my favorite genres are horror, magical realism, fairy tales and fantasy. i love beautiful prose that's almost poetic and ambiguous writing that has you questioning everything until the grand reveal.
my favorite books are: bunny by mona awad, deathless by catherine m. valente, and how to win the time war by amal el-mohtar and max gladstone. the last two books helped me understand the kind of writing style i want to strive for as did poetry !! i don't have a whole lot of fav poems, but worm king's lullaby by richard siken is one that's always spinning in my head.
alongside reading i like manga, webtoons, videogames, and anime. my all time favorite anime is hyouka followed by angel beats and clannad. my favorite webtoon is omniscient reader's viewpoint and i can't recommend it enough. it's soosososo good! ( i started with the webtoon before switching to the novel bc i was too impatient to wait for the updates ) my favorite games are the halo series and oxenfree.
other interests of mine include music, drawing, art, watching youtube videos, journaling, horror movies, and sleeping 😴. i have a few graphic novels / webcomics in my wips so i'm learning how to draw to make them a reality! i also have a video game that's tied to another wip so i'm getting into coding as well !
please never be shy / afraid to tag me in ask games, send me an ask, or even a message! i also have a discord ( username: thirdking ) if you'd like to add me and message me there. also never think or feel like you're bothering me or anything if you wanna say hi or ramble about your interests. i'm always looking to make new friends !! 😁
i ask that minors don't interact or follow !! thank you !!
i have a handful of wips that's been running laps in my head for some time now but these are the ones ( excluding shorter stories ) that aren't multimedia projects or animation ideas, but i may talk about those anyways 😋 since most of these are still in the outlining stage they're subject to change but i'll make sure to update anything to reflect those changes !
📝 𖹭 ⠀ֵ⠀ wip one ; spring ( technically untitled but springs gna be in the final title )
the story follows two ex band mates reconnecting in their adult years after they parted ways when their front man signed a major record deal.
📝 𖹭 ⠀ֵ⠀ wip two ; sisyphus
sisyphus stars three siblings at the center of a conspiracy 1!1!1 the oldest sibling, an astronaut, goes missing during a privately funded space mission embarking to a new planet found in the solar system. i wouldn't call this a greek retelling, but it does a feature a lot of nods to classic greek myths!
📝 𖹭 ⠀ֵ⠀ wip three ; atwe
atwe follows the mother of a teen superhero getting revenge after her kid is killed by an unknown villain. though it's my own special take on superheroes featuring my personal criticisms on teen heroes, it's also a study on family—in particular—distant family relations and saying i love you a little too late.
📝 𖹭 ⠀ֵ⠀ wip four ; march marchen ( title will definitely change )
march marchen is my sort of alice in wonderland / fairy tale retelling that follows an unnamed girl in what might be wonderland trying to figure out who she is and who she isn't. ft parallel worlds, escapism, the fear of childhood, and the fear of adulthood.
📝 𖹭 ⠀ֵ⠀ wip five ; neapolitan ( title will definitely change )
neapolitan is a magical girl webcomic / graphic novel. the story follows a trio of girls becoming the successors of a long line of ice cream inspired magical girls. ft a bright fun palette, gore, and cannibalism! though it's a webcomic, i intend to give it a novelization from the perspective of a different set of magical girls.
if you'd like to be added to a taglist please send me an ask! it'll be easier for me to keep track ! thank you for reading <3

New Introduction [Searching for Moots]
Good timezone, my lovely dreamers!
It's been a long while since last I'd been active in tumblr, but I figured getting to meet new people would be worthwhile as I've made my comeback!
To start, I answer to many names but primarily- you can call me Clay or Danny. I hoard names like a possessive dragon (/lh), but that's also in part due to my kin-list and I carry their names around proudly. (And also the fact I'm a system)
I'm bodily an adult, 23 years old to be exact and counting! I use they/them pronouns, though neos are fair game at times (such as pup/pupself and ghost-themed pronouns).
Now, I am a multi-fandom blogger and enthusiast of neurodivergent content- especially as I connect to a lot of characters.
Fun Things About Me
✦ I'm bilingual, knowing both English and Spanish
✦ I'm a fanfic writer. Mostly specializing in AU's, angst themes, and recently- working on two crossover projects
✦ I have multiple disorders (auDHD, suspected BPD and DID, and diagnosed with MDD)
✦ Current Fixations are Teenage Superhero Cartoons
✦ I'm a roleplayer! (I can be a bit picky with who I roleplay with, and maybe further down the line- I can send out a request)
✦ Profound animal lover. I don't claim to be an expert-
✦ I kin hard.

A Spider-Man Noir live-action series is in the works at Amazon, Variety has learned exclusively.
The untitled series will follow an older, grizzled superhero in 1930s New York City. An individual with knowledge of the project says that the show will be set in its own universe and the main character will not be Peter Parker.
This is the second known project based on the Sony-controlled Marvel characters at Amazon Prime Video and MGM+. It was previously announced that Amazon was moving forward with the series “Silk: Spider Society” from showrunner Angela Kang, with several other shows in the works. It is unknown at this time which other Marvel characters will be featured in the other Amazon shows, though Sony currently controls over 900 such characters associated with the Spider-Man franchise.

March Patreon Flash Story!
This month's story is a quick one based on a prompt I found while googling desperately: "The funeral was at noon." I hadn't planned on having anyone attend any funerals, but Maggie has her reasons, and I suddenly found myself wondering whatever happened to the Jimmy Olsens of my universe after the capes all disappeared.
Since I ended up not using the one prompt I got, I decided I'm entitled to post the story here without consulting anyone. MWAHAHAHA.
For more context on this 'verse, see my AO3 (onethingconstant) or the tag "Untitled Superhero Project" on this blog.
For the Living
The funeral was at noon, in a quiet little church in Indiana. There had been no announcement—well, no public announcement.
Snap Anderson had been old-school—the oldest school, he would have said. He’d been wearing Jetfighter’s signal watch since 1961, and even after the mirror-helmeted alien had gone down in flames in 1982, Snap had kept wearing the watch, deactivated and silent, as a memorial to his best friend. He’d been a lot of people’s best friend, actually—half of Vanguard’s ever-changing lineup had counted Snap as an ally or a sidekick at one point or another, and there were as many clips of Snap attending heroes’ funerals as there were of him saying outlandish things on talk shows.
Now, Snap’s own funeral had barely a dozen people huddled in the pews.
Maggie slipped in through the back of the church after the organ started up, feeling the tag on her stolen black dress itch between her shoulder blades. Coming here had been a risk, she knew; most of Snap’s social circle had vanished in white light three years ago, and she was in serious danger of standing out in a crowd that would surely all know whoever was left. Being the only likely attendee under fifty wouldn’t help, either.
But it had been on her way to New York, and she couldn’t resist.
She scurried down the aisle in her stolen kitten heels, trying to look like she’d been caught in midday traffic, and slid into the first open seat in the frontmost empty pew. Everyone was singing, droning along to a song she hadn’t heard growing up in St. Joseph’s, so she stared at the floor and mumbled watermelon watermelon watermelon until it was time to stop.
The eulogy was bland, from what she could tell, and seemed to have copied several sentences verbatim from Snap’s Wikipedia page. That didn’t stop the occasional sob or sniffle from the gathered mourners. She wasn’t sure they were listening either.
One of the nuns had told her once that funerals are for the living, not the dead. Maybe the words didn’t matter as long as someone said them. As long as someone said something.
She wondered whether anyone would say anything when she died. Probably not, except for whoever had to clean up the mess.
The eulogy ended, and the organ started up again, and as the creaky mourners levered themselves out of their pews for a final round of what sounded like “Oh God Triumphant And Invisible”, Maggie craned her neck and saw it.
Standing by the head of the casket, just for an instant, was a tall figure in black body armor, half-swathed in a long black cloak, with a gleaming white mask carved to look like a grinning skull. It wasn’t a friendly skull, or even a particularly scary one. Not a Día de los Muertos calavera or a grinning rubber Halloween mask from a party store. It looked like someone had simply taken an ordinary human skull off a pile of them somewhere, sliced off the front of it, and glued it to the front of an otherwise formless black void.
Got you, you bastard, Maggie snarled to herself. The obituary had said Snap had died a natural death, but she knew better now.
Skullfaced freak never could resist a good chance to gloat.
The figure vanished again before she could so much as twitch out of her seat, and no one else in the little congregation reacted, but that was all right. She knew what she’d seen.
When the service ended, she retrieved her pack from behind the dumpster where she’d stashed it and wrote another name in her notebook. The dress and shoes went into the trash, her jeans and sneakers went back on, and she was walking toward the bus station before Snap Anderson’s casket was back in the hearse.

whimsy-of-the-stars: a writeblr (re) intro
hi there! this post is here because I can't edit the old one on desktop bc I reblogged it! :( Anyway i’m whimsy-of-the-stars! the only name i really go by is my actual one, but i’m hesitant to share it online. some info about me:
relatively new to tumblr
currently in high school
i aspire to be an author, as well as a poet and musician
I enjoy cartoons, comics, fiction podcasts and novels
Currently, I'm foraying into the world of itch.io, so you might see me working on Twine games or ttrpgs too!
Learning languages is fun! my main focus right now is Spanish!
I’m in the LGBTQIAP+ community
I like to read (YA): fantasy, sci-fi, fluffy romance, some mysteries
I like to write (YA): fantasy, sci-fi, fluffy romance, superhero
oh and I kinda have an original poetry tag within my posts! It’s “whimsy of the poetry” lol. there you’ll find my 1 (one) poem posted so far!
I’m really bad at coming up with names so most of my projects are untitled. now onto mini WIP intros!!!
unnamed apocalypse story
status: roughly halfway thru the first draft
genre: uhh queer apocalyptic mg/ya
this one is new-ish! ok, not really. It's from April 2023 Camp Nano, and I never finished it. I'm hoping to resume writing soon, probably for July Camp Nano. I'll make a WIP intro soon!! | SWEAR! (casually has never made one before)
Anyway, it centers around a bunch of teens who get lost in the huge forest right before the plant-centered apocalypse hits. They have to survive in unfamiliar woods as this freakishly fast-growing plant continues to creep closer and closer, releasing dangerous pollen; not to mention they've gotta get along with each other. featured in this wip are: silly diary entries, hand-drawn maps, new friends, and questionable poetry!
The Quest for Calamint (a Twine game)
status: jam version (aka simpler, more bare-bones version) available now here! better, cooler version coming in or after July, probably, along with full intro post!
genre: Wholesome fantasy interactive fiction :)
Go on a quest to get your best friend, a little goat named Calamint, back from the faeries who stole him and the rest of the dairy animals on your family's farm. Navigate the forest, talk to the right faeries, and solve the ex-queen's puzzle to get him back!
Side Projects
currently, I'm slowly working on a few small tabletop roleplaying games!! There's one about wizard girls, one about a seaside vacation where you become a delivery kid, and one about summoning a ghost with your friends! however I’m also thinking about a bunch of other things as well for the One Page RPG Jam of 2023 hosted on itch!

3, 8 & 13 for the writer's ask game!!
3. What’s your favorite fic that you’ve written?
If we're talking about fully completed fics, then I'm going to say its a toss up between a few - its hard to pick just one: All Aboard - bc I liked the premise and I liked seeing how many hints I could drop in the story without being too obvious about the outcome. Under the Cover of Darkness - I'm a big ole nerd and this was not only my first ever multi-chapter fic it was my first attempt at a superhero!AU. Had a lot of fun writing and researching this one. Trick or Treat - It was my first ever fic I had written and it gets me all nostalgicwhen I reread it. I think it was a pretty good first try at fan fic, and definitely fed my interest in trying to write more.

13. How much planning do you do before writing?
I like to usually do a rough outline for the fic - and depending on how inspired I am - I'll either start writing right away or if its a subject I'm not familiar with, I might do a little world building/ character fleshing out first. Folks who are regular readers know I'm a sucker for adding hyperlinks in my fics. I think a lot of time I love learning things and sharing them with readers too.
Thanks so much for the ask, @priincebutt ! 💖💖
If you want to play . . . .

Writeblr Introduction Post
So, I figured it was probably time to make a proper writeblr introduction post instead of leaving my ramble about finishing my last WIP up forever.
I'm Panda, I'm in my thirties, I mostly write middle grade to new adult(maybe?) stuff if it's original, fanfiction is more a bit all over the place. I dabble in Sci-Fi and Fantasy, but generally my stuff is set in the real world, or at least adjacent to it. I follow a decent amount of writers, but not really any active middle grade authors, and I definitely see (and love) more fantasy than anything on my dash, so if you're writing realistic fiction or middle grade please interact with this post so I can follow you!
I tend to write about families, the ways they can fall apart and rebuild themselves and all the things in between. I love happy endings, but they aren't always possible-hopeful endings can be.
You can find the things I deemed worthy of it, ie actually finished, on my AO3 page.
My Stuff
So, The Buster's a Narc... My finished Fast & Furious AU! When Brian is recruited out of Juvie to go undercover with Toretto's team it changes a lot things. Hurt/Comfort and found family, with a tiny bit of romance between him and Mia(I'm aro/ace, but I tried), and an attempt to deepen characters that I felt had a lot of potential, but got short changed in the actual movies.
Home Is Where The Crankshaft Is My current wip! Mia/Brian Hurt/Comfort, found family, and deals with both past child abuse and current abuse of an adult child to warn you. Also a whole heck of a lot of Brian being torn between the team and his job/sense of right and wrong. It gets angsty. But there will be a happy ending! Because I write what I want to read. Summary below :)
Brian's big challenge today was supposed to be not breaking Vince's nose while helping Mia pick up stuff for a garden project. That was it. Nice and simple. He sure wasn't expecting to see his dad.
Untitled Brian & Vince as half brothers AU. This is a pre-series AU, where neither Brian or Vince know they're related until their dad dumps Brian on Vince when his mother goes to jail. This is going to be my nanowrimo, and it already has a massive outline and a couple test pages. When I shared a small chunk in the comments of Buster, a commenter used the phrase 'platonic slow burn' in response, and that sounds about right, it's not going to be an easy fix with Brian or Vince instantly or quickly getting along. I am really excited about it :)
Superhero 'Series'-an original series, though initially inspired by prompts from @writing-prompt-s and @gingerly-writing. A cartoonish, golden/silver age of comics without the chaff, inspired world, where all the superheroes and villains except a few rebels have two part names (The Charming Gunner, Golden Cricket, The Dapper Daemon, Mighty Mamba...I had fun), superpowers and mad scientist type devices are plentiful, and every powered person(they don't all go into heroics or villainy) has a familiar. Only two stories so far, but a sequel to the first is outlined.
Pinehallow Ranch-Monty, an eleven year old boy who has spent most of his life traveling from place to place with his in-demand lawyer mother, Irene, is sent to live at his uncle's horse ranch because she thinks he needs roots. Used to nearly everyone but his mother not being around long enough to get to know, Monty is more than a bit uncertain about this. But in scrambling to find his place in a town different to anything he's ever known, he finds friends, both human and animal, makes discoveries, and even manages to foil a plot against Pinehallow Ranch itself. (an actual summary!) This story is on hiatus for the moment, but here is a link to a WIP introduction with a bunch of character and some town/location descriptions and if you search #pinehallow ranch you can find a bunch of excerpts/last line tags I shared.
Middle Grade sort-of-suburban fantasy WIP-Wally and his friends aren't pretending to be secret agents, they're practicing for their future careers. Also walkie-talkies make it much easier to alert each other of bully sightings. In this world certain magical animals exist, but they've always been there and aren't too special, some people have powers, but they're almost always pretty mundane-being able to change your own hair color, to hover a few inches off the ground, heal minor injuries, etc. Wally's power is on the extreme end, it lets him sense people with bad intentions-but what a ten year old considers bad intentions, so it's sometimes pinging on his teacher on the day of a pop quiz. In the first of this 'maybe a series' Wally and his best friend Alison are convinced there is something nefarious in the eyes of the class hamster...(inspired by a prompt, but I don't remember from where)
Middle Grade Sci-Fi Wip-inspired by a prompt from @writing-prompt-s. "When Glenn saw the proof, he packed up his little sister and they went.  That was all it took." A story about how sometimes the promise of the unknown, whatever it might be, can be better than what you have. Also a story about two kids getting adopted by aliens that look like a cross between spiders and teddy bears. Only a few pages long so far, but this one calls deeply to my heart and is going to be finished. Probably Novella length.
Aiden's Day-planned future rewrite of an old WIP I started when I was 17. Parts of it have been rewritten many times, and there is still a copy of it up on an old Fictionpress account I can't get into anymore. "Aiden knows his mom had to leave. If she hadn't left town, she was going to leave them permanently. It burns, but he gets it. But he's still a 20 year old drop-out with four siblings he suddenly has sole responsibility for and has to try and feed on a gas station salary. When desperation leads him to reach out to his long absent father, things get complicated." Themes ranging from, 'we get by with a little help from our friends' and 'family is something we make' to suicide, neglect, and religious abuse, and with a definite touch of 'broken doesn't always mean you throw it away'. Angsty and humorous. It was originally written as a diary style novel, and while I don't want to entirely drop that, in this version each chapter would start with a diary entry rather than it being solely that. (I had the man grocery shopping with three teenagers and he was writing in his diary while doing it. My only excuse is that it was very, very fun to write, and I was very young.)
This is getting ridiculously long, so I'm just going to end it with, 'Happy Writing!'
