i feel like in the relationship, nanami tries to talk you to quit your job before — but you felt like it was kind of unfair if he had to use his money to support you, so you always managed to decline that. even if the male was a bit disappointed at your decision, he didn't want to force you, so he lets you be.

you didn't have a cursed energy; a non-sorcerer. unlike him, you had a simple job of making coffees, alias a barista. the income was not too much, but still enough for the both of you (although nanami always ends up paying for your stuff because he insists).

the job wasn't too tiring, however today was a bit different — the store had gotten a rush hour in the afternoon, not that you were complaining about it as you signed up for the job anyways. and a co-worker had asked you to cover their shift because they had an family emergency.

really, you didn't mind covering for them at all. you were getting an extra for that and it counts — just it meant that you were going to be the closing shift for today, and everyone knows closing up meant it would be a lot of work; especially with the washing, cleaning up, mopping the floors, the coffee machines, everything.

you ended up closing the shop late at night, rushing to your shared apartment with nanami. opening the door in exhaustion, calling out a tired, "i'm home."

"y/n?" nanami appears from the corner, rushing towards you and then cupping your face.

in confusion you blinked at him, wondering what the hell was happening and why was he acting like this?

"you never texted or answered my calls, i was worried," he mumbles out, and it finally dawned upon you that during your shift — it was too busy that you hadn't managed to get to your phone at all. and it was on silent too.

"i'm sorry, baby. i had to cover up for my co-worker's shift, it was my mistake for not telling you," you smiled at him, planting a kiss on his lips.

nanami shook his head, "it's alright, please inform me next time," he kissed your forehead before pulling you into a tight hug, "how was work?"

"you won't believe how busy it is today, surprising. but it was fun, and i'm getting extra paycheck for covering my co-worker's shift!" you marveled out happily, and he gazes down at you fondly, kissing the crown of your head.

"i'm glad then," he mumbles out to you, "if i tell you to stop—"

"still a no from me," you kicked your shoes off and walked towards the living room, sparing him a cheeky smile, "i like working, plus, it's not fair that you have to waste your money for my livings too."

nanami heaves out a sigh, "my money is your money."

but he didn't push on, what mattered is that you enjoy working. nanami will undoubtedly still pay for your things, telling you that you should just save your paychecks incase he goes broke (which will never happen).

a/n: so sorry i’ve been super busy w work and school :( but i will finish my outgoing fics :) ty for sticking with me and for ur patience- hope u all still enjoy the story

Vader opened his tired eyes and realized he was in a bed, an actual bed.

He attempted to sit himself up but was quickly reminded of his recent injuries, wincing painfully.

Before he could gain his bearings, a gentle hand placed itself onto his exposed shoulder from the other side of the bed. 

He flinched again which triggered his self defense; soon you felt your airway closing up. The forceful pressure made your heart race as you gasped for air. You removed your hand from him and clawed at your throat.

Vader turned to see who the hand belonged to and his deep yellow eyes faded to blue immediately once he realized it was you. 

Your brows were upturned in concern as you fought for oxygen- he exhaled the breath he was holding and you were released.

With a sigh you placed your hands on the bed in front of you and hunched over, catching your breath. 

“y/n…” he called desperately, “I’m so- I’m so sorry”.

You shook your head as you attempted to quell his worries. 

“I would never- It’s never my intention to hurt you” he rasped. 

“It’s ok- It’s ok… you didn’t mean to” you managed a smile. 

He attempted to sit up once more to meet you but failed again. 

“V, stay still- Don’t hurt yourself” you guided as you placed your hand back onto his shoulder. 

“Wait, just… let me hold you-” 

“But your burns?”

Vader shook his head slightly, “they don't matter at the moment- I just want you” he admitted. 

He honestly didn’t care if holding you hurt him- nothing could have pained him more than knowing he could have truly harmed you.

You reluctantly nodded, still concerned about his unhealed wounds but still helped him into a sitting position. 

Without a word he pulled you closer with the force and wrapped his new metal arms tightly around you.

He bit back a hiss as your robes brushed against his wounds; once you were situated, he shakily breathed in your scent and rested his head on your shoulder. 

“Lie back” you coaxed once you felt the tremble of exhaustion coming from his tired body. 

He nodded and laid his head back on your plush pillow; there was a comfortable silence surrounding the two of you as you relaxed under his signature. 

“thank you- for everything” he said before turning his head slightly to kiss your forehead with his scarred lips. 

You peeked at him through your lashes and smiled, “Of course V, you know I would do anything for you- I would go up to the emperor myself, If I had a plan” you added, only half joking. 

“I know- that’s why you mean so much to me y/n” he said shortly debating whether or not to reveal the extent of his feelings. 

Your smile faltered and you unintentionally loosened your grip on him; were you only important to him because you were so devoted to him? Is that the only reason he was so kind-

No words needed to be exchanged for him to feel the weight of your disappointment- Perhaps he could have phrased that better…

You wrapped your arms around yourself and stared at the ceiling as you began to severely overthink; meanwhile, Vader frantically tried to come up with a solution. 

You were naive to think he would want you if you weren’t at his beck and call, why would he care for you outside of being convenient?! He had no reason to…

Your thoughts were interrupted by one of his new hands on your cheek “I know you would do anything for me and I appreciate that- but I would never ask you to endanger yourself for my sake. You are too dear to me, My Darling”.

Your ears perked up at the term of endearment and his reassurance; you couldn’t stop yourself from saying “Really?”

He nodded and pulled you closer; your head rested on his scarred chest and you could hear the whirr of his support system with every breath he took. 

“Truly… I detest the notion of you being in danger” he said, still trying to figure out how he wanted to go about this (it had been a very long time since he had to express any vulnerable emotion, especially one involving romance). 

“Well thank you V” you responded thinking he would respond and then the conversation would pass. 

“It is because I love you too much- I cannot have anything happen to you… I-It would break my heart” he said, squeezing you tighter. 

Did he just-

“Love?” you squeaked out. 

How you longed to hear that word escape his mouth!

His grasp didn’t allow for you to look at him and you could tell he wanted it that way, but you still tried. 

“Vader- I want to see you” you said softly, attempting to coax the man to release you. 

He shook his head slightly as a scared child might and only continued to hold you closer (if that was even possible). 

He had a slight waiver to his already weak voice when he spoke again, “I do not think I would be able to continue without you”. 

Vader cursed himself for being so vulnerable… so fragile. But he simply could not contain the immense build up of emotions he had been suppressing.

After all… the main thing that kept him allowing himself to die on Mustafar was you- If that happened and he didn’t have you to live for he was sure he would have given in to the death he had been craving since the first time he laid on the burning shores. 

“I-it is alright if you do not share the sentiment- I still appreciate all you have done for me”

You were able to wiggle out of his firm grasp and propped yourself up to look him in the eyes, but once you were situated he would not meet your gaze.

Gently, you took his face in your hands and turned him towards you slowly. Surprisingly he allowed you to manage his movements and finally looked at you. 

His pupils were wavering and the color tetered between yellow and that lovely blue; the corners slightly damp with tears daring to fall. His eyes twitched under your gaze- what were you thinking? 

Your expression softened and you placed a kiss to his lips once more, “My Dear, you are the single most important thing in my life- how could I not love you?”.

He exhaled harshly and his tears began to descend; instead of wiping them away, you kissed the trails they left; “I have loved you from a distance for a while now… I just didn’t want to ruin us with my ambitious feeling”. 

“Ruin us? You could never ruin us” Vader realized his passionate promises and words reflected the naivety of his former self- Anakin Skywalker. He could never moderate his intense feelings- especially when it came to love. 

But this time he would not allow himself to be so reckless- He wouldn’t lose again. 

He held you impossibly closer and pressed gentle kisses to your temple as he rocked you back and forth attempting to ground himself. 

“You do not understand how much this means to me- how desperately I love you…” he said, barely above a whisper. 

“Oh V” you cooed as you ran the pad of your thumb along his scarred cheek.

You felt his force signature falter, he was spent- the past few days had been emotional and physically taxing. 

“Alright my Love, ‘cmon, let's get you back to sleep” you coaxed, pulling the comforter over his shoulders. 

“No” he protested, lightly pulling at your arm. 

“You need to regain your strength V”. 

He mumbled before pulling you into his chest again, “what are you doing?” you giggled at his needy actions.

“Stay…”

With a breath of defeat you finally gave in to Vader’s wishes and cuddled up next to him.

“Fine, you win… this time”.

You weren’t quite sure how long you had been asleep but you woke to a dreadful feeling; a sleazy aura slunk past your door and you felt the intense weight of a foreign force signature- someone was outside. 

Worriedly, you pushed yourself onto your elbows and turned towards the man beside you; his eyes were already wide open and firmly placed a protective hand over your arm as he slowly attempted to sit up. 

You shrunk behind him as you watched a shadow under your door as the figure passed. The person stopped for a moment before laughing sinisterly. 

It’s alright, Just stay still My Love- you heard Vader call through the force. 

After a few painstaking moments the shadow finally left and took the oppressive weight with them. Vader tiredly laid back with a deep exhale and you attended to him.

“V, what- Who was that?” you asked as you calmed him down. 

“No one you need to worry about- I’ll handle it” he said, gently brushing your soft cheek with his cool metallic digits. 

“But-”

He shook his head, “Everything will be alright, trust me”. 

With that he ended the conversation and you laid down beside him with a frown before falling back asleep.

Vader’s life support worked overtime to keep up with his heart rate as he stomped down the corridor to meet his master.

He knew it was Palpatine who was outside your door last night, he knew he covered his signature too late- he knew Palpatine knew. 

He hadn’t felt so protective over someone in a long time so he was quite worried about you. He was weary to leave you this morning (who knew if the Emperor would order the troopers to do something to you?) but he eventually worked himself up to it. 

He decided it best to at least try to mask his emotions and true feelings instead of coming clean right away- he knew the Emperor well enough to know not to reveal everything to him.

The large sliding doors of the throne room opened to reveal the pale man perched atop the large chair; Vader closed his eyes and allowed himself to gain his composure before stepping forward. 

“Ahh I am pleased to see you whole again, Lord Vader” Palpatine smiled sinisterly as Vader struggled to bow without hurting himself. 

“I have done as you wish, my master. Have I redeemed myself?” 

“You have solidified your resilience and strength… I am pleased you still possess your fighting spirit” 

Vader felt himself relax, it seemed he had at least obtained the Emperor's approval once more. 

“Though… I am afraid you have become weak in other ways” the cloaked man added. 

“I do not understand; What exactly are you referring to?” Vader asked as he played off his anxieties. 

“Do not play the fool with me, my friend- You know exactly of whom I speak”

“I do not-” Vader began. 

“Cease your lies! I know she has been nursing your wounds and tending to you- Did you really think your lovesick gallivanting would not be brought to my attention?! Have you forgotten that this is my empire and I have informants in every corner…”

Vader felt his anger bubbling under the surface of his composure- he knew this confrontation was inevitable but he still felt the urge to snap the old man’s neck. 

“The woman of which you speak has done nothing wrong and serves the Empire loyally” Vader said as his hands rested on his bent knee. 

“You-” Palpatine corrected, “She serves you, loyally. She has no dedication to the empire”. 

He clicked his tongue in disapproval, “She has blinded you”. 

Palpatine slowly lifted himself off of the throne and descended the stairs towards Vader. 

“I think that we need to set your focus back on the right track… but how to do that? Hmm” the pale man taunted before acting as if he had an epiphany. 

“Ahh! I’ve got an idea” he hissed. 

Vader’s stomach dropped- he knew what his master was going to say… he was going to say-

Since the moment your relationship with Christian went public, you’ve been receiving a lot of mixed reactions. Some are positives, and some are negatives. Dating a famous professional athlete was never in your book, but somehow you met and fell in love with him despite his job and status. Besides, you can’t really control who you love can you? You didn’t care that he’s famous nor will you ever, because it didn’t matter. What truly matters is the genuine love shared between the two of you.

No, you’re not a celebrity. You weren’t famous at all. You work nowhere near the media or even football. You’re just someone ‘ordinary’. You randomly met him at a bar in London during a night-out with your girlfriends – one went to a college in London, and you happened to be in the city to visit her. You knew who Christian was but you didn’t want to freak him out so you tried to act cool, and before you knew it he asked for your number. From there on, the rest is history.

Days before you two went ‘Instagram official’, you were already so anxious about how people were going to react. You know he has a lot of fans, and they could be pretty ruthless with their comments. They basically could get away with anything, since they could create any persona they wanted and stayed anonymous on the internet, which was and still is terrifying to even think about. You didn’t want to hear people talking shit about your relationship, but at the same time you knew it was sort of inevitable. You two wanted to keep it lowkey, but didn’t want to hide it from the world. After long talks and careful considerations, you both decided to go public.

You couldn’t be grateful for the support people have given you, but negative comments about you and your relationship sometimes would mess with your head.

You’ve been trying to ignore those awful comments, but since you’re not used to the attention, it was hard not to think about those things they’d said. You knew they’re nothing but strangers on the internet, but you couldn’t stop thinking to yourself: what if everything they said was true? Am I not good enough for Christian? Does this relationship not make sense? Are we not going to last?

Christian has been very protective of you, and he’s told you so many times to just ignore everything. He’s been reassuring you that those internet trolls have no idea what they’re talking about.

“Y/N, love... Stop. Just stop looking at those comments.” He took your phone, locked the screen, and put it away. 

“You are perfect for me, Y/N, they just don’t know that. God, you’re fucking amazing! Believe me, if they got to know you, they would take their words back.”

You shrugged and shook your head while looking down, “You’re my boyfriend, of course you’d say that.”

His brows knitted as he let out a sigh, “No, that’s not true! Even if I wasn’t, I’d definitely say what I said. Why can’t you see it?”

“Christian...” You paused, “do you think our relationship is going to last? I mean, I love you...” You were fidgeting your fingers, hesitated a little to continue because you were afraid of how he was going to react. 

“But I- I just... I don’t think I’m good enough for you,” you whimpered.

“Excuse me?”

You took a deep breath, still avoiding eye contact, “maybe they were right, Chris. You deserve bet-”

“No,” he cut you off before you even finished what you were saying, “don’t even think about it. I wouldn’t have asked you to be my girlfriend if I didn’t think we’re going to last. There is- hey, look at me,” as he lifted up your chin, your eyes met his beautiful chocolate eyes, “there is no one else that fits me better but you, Y/N. You are my one and only. If anything, you are way out of my league.” 

You blushed, trying not to giggle but you couldn’t help it. “Dammit Pulisic, you really have a way with words don’t you?”

He grinned, he was pleased to hear your cute little giggle. “I’m the luckiest fucking guy,” he said before he leaned closer to you, his lips was gently pressed against yours for a moment, then he whispered, “I still couldn’t believe you are mine.”

That man really swept you off your feet. You have never experienced this kind of love before. Every single day with him feels like heaven. When it’s just the two of you, it feels like the world revolves around you – nothing else matters but you and him. He is the only man you’ve ever had late night talks with – well, it’s mostly late night for him because you live in the States and you’re like 5 hours behind him. Hell, you both dropped the L bomb to one another a month into your relationship – your friends thought it was way too fast, but the truth is it wasn’t. You had never been so sure about any man ever, and you just knew Christian is different – special, one-of-a-kind. 

Before no one acknowledged you, you felt a lot freer. You didn’t have to worry about how others would perceive you or judge you. Now, people are watching your every move, ready to bring up even the tiniest mistake you made just because you’re dating their favorite footballer. You became very self-conscious, and Christian noticed that. He felt guilty because he thought because of him you had to go through this and he knew you didn’t deserve any of the horrible judgements, but he’s never stopped giving you the reassurance you needed. At one point, he wanted to post something on Instagram to defend you, however you told him not to so he didn’t do it.

“Baby...” as he held your hands, “honestly, I just want the world to know you’re mine. I’m sorry that I’ve caused you any trouble, but I don’t want you to worry ‘cause I’m always here for you. They don’t know shit about us, they really don’t...”

“I know Chris, I know. I just, um... I need time to get used to this, you know? This is the risk I have to take to be with you, and I will eventually find my way around it.”

He smiled and nodded, he understood how you were feeling. “Let’s just keep things between us, yeah? It’s more than enough that they now know we’re together. Who cares, right?”

You laughed a bit, “Yeah, I guess you’re right.”

“I just want you to know... You’re it for me.” He kissed the top of your head, then rested his forehead against yours. “I love you, Y/N. Now and forever.”

Your cheeks turned bright red and the biggest smile appeared on your face. “I love you, Christian.”

Y/N -- chpt. 6 still has me frustrated as hell but after reading some other asks and ur responses b4 going back, her responses make a lot more sense now. She's still super hurt about everything and is just doing her best to survive it and make it through with Yui happy and healthy (although I'm still so confused about why Toji's comment about Yui was so bad, like legit could u or another anon explain?). LOVE the end of their convo in chpt.7, it didn't wrap up neatly. They both acknowledge that they need work on things and that they'll each try their best, loveitloveitloveit. Still very much a Y/N x Toji supporter 😊😊😊

Toji -- OK now I see how often he compared Y/N to his wife lols, she was totally valid, but he still has a point, she's not really thinking about his pov. Like yes, Gojo's alive and his wife is dead but that doesn't mean his feelings and reactions are any less (which she acknowledges, Y/N is so emotional aware and rational, love that for her). Ngl, seeing that they left Yui's pacifier in the house scared me so bad, felt like thos scenes in horror movies where they go back into danger💀💀💀 I honestly don't know how to feel about the future convo, but they're both decently aware of any possible consequences so I don't thinks it will be toooo bad.

But no yea I was also so intimidated of you at first and when we became mutuals I was like????¿¿¿ bc when I read Dancing With a Stranger it was just like everything to me u don’t understand. It’s like someone entered into my brain and looked at my memories and like created a fic of my blorbos made just for me. Im so proud of how you all as a fandom handled this so well 💙 I know things are still pretty shaky in places and no one can rlly say this problem is “solved” or “forgiven” unless DRDT Dev specifically says so (which I dont mean to say they should or have to comment on anything, I know they mentioned theyre nervous and now uncomfortable interacting which I understand and accept responsibility for) But it really makes me happy to see how for the most part We’re turning something bad into appreciation. So for the fandom here. I appreciate all of you.

Even the ones who mightve gone too far. Just like me u had good or at least non malicious intent. Which turned out bad but there are still ppl who respectfully understand where youre coming from. Maybe its not wanted- But I appreciate and care for you too. I dont know how youre handling this all, But if its anything like how I did, I hope you understand nothing is ur fault just like how people have said it’s not entirely mine and not DRDT Devs. Even if it wasnt the best thing u couldve said in the moment. I understand u didnt want to harass anyone. It was a mistake made cause it’s human to act emotionaly have opinions and want to be understood with that. That can make ppl say and post things online that get deserved back-lash like I did. And the things u say can seriously hurt people like I did. I cant say how anyone else feels with everything thats happened But if Im right about everything so far. Its okay. To me at least which I guess isnt much. Even If u dont feel real remorse- You feel u were justified- But just dont want to be lectured in paregraphs over and over. Thats ok to me too. No one has to be completely justified in how they feel and it would be hyppocritical of me to say u do. And you shouldnt have to be looked at as any worse then the rest of us for stating your mind. Ur a great DRDT fan and person too and no one should claim any different for anyone. So while no one can throw around the word “forgive” for an incident that isnt ours to forgive- I “understand” u.

On a lighter note- The people who defended DRDT Dev without harassing anyone. U all acted so maturely in response to everything I honestly envy u a little. Does maturity and not making mistakes like these come one by one for you? When I make mistakes like this I feel like something with no real sense of right or wrong- Then I mess up and ppl come out to tell me where I went wrong and the “right” thing to do- And I piece together all the life lessons and “right” responses little by little until I feel safe with myself. Like a kintsugi piece. And like the cake in chapter 1! Did u have to do the same? I wonder if everyone experiences this. But thats not so relevant to appreciating you- So thank you for seeing every side. Even mine. Thank you for taking this whole situation and turning it into something good for everyone. We should talk about stuff like this more- While I still wish I hadnt posted that confession Im happy with whats been made of it- Even if the damage was still done. Because disrespecting and dehumanizing creators like DRDT Dev who put themselfs through so much to make wonderful content for us is never ok and to sweep it under the rug Like nothing ever happened is even worse. I know I requested the original post be deleted But Im ok with it being up on other blogs and posts because its important to hold stuff like this accountable and talk about it. And u guys did just that which is why Im so proud and thankful for u. This isnt a Thanksgiving dinner But u all deserve to be appreciated for doing good things too and supporting DRDT Dev.

And that brings me to who I appreciate the most- DRDT Dev. Everyone has said it so perfectly already I cant think of how to say it myself. But theyre so strong for going through all this. With their health. And going through and finding things like what I said. And other things none of us know about because they work to prioritize us over themself. And yet they still dont give up. They still keep going even with everything. They dont have to do this. But they do anyways and we should all appreciate them so much for that. Because sometimes we forget they and there team are human- I forgot that too. Doing things like my confession and taking their work for granted and other things is never ok. Im so happy we can do something to share our appreciation for DRDT, DRDT Dev and their team. Bad things and arguments and DRDT Dev being hurt by me had to happen first. I wish it didnt and that fandoms would give this much love and support to their creators without some incident happening first. But Im happy what happened let us appreciate the dev for there work now. And even if the DRDT Dev doesnt create side content anymore because of this- Its alright. They shouldnt have to push themselves past their boundaries or limits for us cause they already do so much. Even if we dont know much about them- We know enough to say theyre a wonderful person and we all love their content and them so much.

I know a lot of ppl apologized on my behalf and I suppose I wrote a longer apology to DRDT Dev and the fandom. But Ill say again as the anon themself- I am deeply sorry DRDT Dev for what I and others have said and done. I hope that you are well. And that youre able to see our appreciation through these posts.

As for the ending, I'm working on it! ❤️❤️ I have no official date because I keep making a schedule to write it and then I keep getting busy with life X_X. While I hope to release it maybe this Sunday, I am also trying to take my time with it. Endings matter to me a lot and I want to make sure it's not rushed and that I wrap everything up in a way that feels complete. Although I plan to write an epilogue as well, I always think that endings should feel exactly like that--the end--so that if no epilogue were to exist, the story would still be satisfying in some way if that were where you were to stop.

I really hope you all will like it 😭. I truthfully get in my head about STH sometimes and am not sure if people enjoy it, so it means a lot to me that you do.
