Cryptid of the day 003: Xianfu Zhi Yu

A classical cryptid from anceint Chinese bestiaries, the Xianfu Zhi Yu ('Father-fish' or 'Parent-fish'), is a creature with the head of a carp and the body of a wild pig which lives in the Yellow River, and that's pretty much all that is known of the creature, being incredibly reclusive, further studies of the creature and it's habitat have all failed. One known attribute of the creature is that its flesh contains chemicals which hinder a person's ability to vomit once digested. The ability to vomit comes back within 2 days after digestion has begun. An interesting comparison can be made with the Chinese 'finless porpoise', which has been given the nickname “River Pig”.
