Super coquetas!!! 😎 @urbanmoonshine The days for cold drinks are fleeting, as are the flowers, so we like to make ours extra special with these easy floral ice cubes✨ They add a splash of color and special flourish to any cocktail and can even be used to fancy up a plain old glass of ice water. In this batch, we’ve used rose buds, evening primrose flowers and bee balm blossoms, but you can use any edible flowers you like — just make sure you’ve correctly identified them and that they’ve not been sprayed with chemicals. Other great options include calendula, borage, chamomile, pansies, geraniums or blossoms from culinary herbs like sage, rosemary or mint. You could also add fresh berries, fresh herbs or even spices. You can use any ice cube tray you like — the one already knocking about in the freezer will do just fine. But there are lots of fun silicone molds available for making fun shapes like spheres or squares if you feel so inclined. SUPER IDEA PARA COCINAR!!! 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 @urbanmoonshine Culinary Herb Bombs✨ Perfect for using up any herbs in the garden, and preserving summer for the coming months💚 Made by freezing fresh herbs in a base of cooking oil, they not only save a good deal of time in the kitchen (just drop one in a hot pan and you’re off!), but also allow us to enjoy the vibrancy of fresh herbs year round. Just think; there may be an abundance of culinary herbs available now, but when you wheel your shopping cart past that sorry looking, over-priced herb selection in the dead of winter, you’ll be congratulating yourself for making up a big batch of these while you could. You can use any herbs you like to cook with — basil, chives, dill, oregano, mint or thyme are all good options. We like to use extra virgin olive oil, but you can use whatever cooking oil you prefer or even melted butter. To make, simply chop the herbs to your preferred size, press them down into the ice cube molds, leaving a little room at the top, then cover completely with oil. Freeze until completely solid. You can keep them in the ice cube tray if you like, or pop them out and store them in a freezer bag or Tupperware container. To use, throw one into a hot pan, add to a pot of simmering stock or thaw at room temperature for making dressings. Add to a pan of rice, your morning eggs or spread on a piece of toast.
