Useful Apps in Bangkok trip: MuvMi - Tuk-tuk dispatch app

I would like to introduce MuvMi, a ride-sharing tuk-tuk dispatch app that was useful during my trip to Bangkok! 🛺.

バンコク旅行で便利だったアプリ、乗り合いトゥクトゥク配車アプリの「MuvMi」を紹介します！🛺

タイ・バンコクでの移動手段と言えば、公共交通機関のMRTやBTS、GrabやUberが便利なのですが、私がどうしても一度乗ってみたかったのがトゥクトゥク🛺 タイで非常にポピュラーな三輪自動車です。

街中で客待ち・客引きをしているドライバーさんたちが多いのですが、だいたいの繁華街のドライバーさんたちのはいわゆる”ぼったくり”。タイ語が話せない観光客が交渉して乗るのはちょっとハードルが高いのです。でも乗ってみたいよね！風切って走ってみたいよね！🛺

爆速！！！（Iron Balls - The ParlourからHair of the dogsへの移動で乗ったりとか）

結構揺れるけど楽しい（ワット・ポーからYOLOへ向かう時に乗ったりとか）

と、”ぼったくられず”安全に、トゥクトゥクを配車して移動ができるのがこの「MuvMi」アプリです。

乗車場所と降車場所を選択し、お会計もチャージから落ちるので、タイ語が喋れなくても使えるのでめちゃくちゃ便利です。さらに通常のトゥクトゥクと違って、このアプリで来るのはEVトゥクトゥク。車体も新しくて乗り場も広いので、大人数や子供連れでも乗れるのも良い！

EVトゥクトゥクの開発・製造・販売をしている2016年に設立された「Urban Mobirity Tech（UMT）」というベンチャーが運営しているアプリで、日本のメーカーも2024年に出資しているよう。

チュラロンコーン大学が推進している環境のためのMaaS（マース：Mobility as a Service）プロジェクト「SMART 4」の一環のサービスらしく、渋滞が大問題なバンコク国内では非常によい取り組みですね。

1）アプリDL

2）電話番号でアカウント登録

日本の携帯電話番号でも登録できたけど、タイに着いたらまた電話番号認証しないといけなそう（＆SMSで送られてきたコードを入力しないといけない→圏外なので届かない）なので、タイの電話番号つきのeSIMを買って登録するのが良さそうです。

3）エリアを設定

トゥクトゥクは、そんなに長距離移動には向いていない＆MuvMiは”乗り合い”配車アプリなので同じエリアをぐるぐる回る方が効率的、ということで、エリア内の移動しかできないようになっています。ホテルのあるエリアを⭐️でお気に入り登録しておくのが便利そう。

4）残高チャージ

GrabやUberのように「移動した距離・金額を決済」ではなく、チャージした残高の中から支払いが落ちるシステム。なので、事前に残高チャージが必要です。チャージは日本のクレジットカードでもできるのが便利！

※楽天カードでチャージしようとしたら、登録している国内携帯電話場に届いたSMS認証をしてくださいってなっちゃったので、そういう認証が不要なカードを使わないといけないに注意。

5）ピックアップ（乗車場）ポイントとドロップオフ（降車場）を選択

最寄りの乗車場はGPSマークで見つけられそうだけど、降車場はベースになってるGoogle Mapがタイ語で表示されてるので、地図から選択するのがちょっと大変かも。

6）車のタイプと人数を選んで配車

乗車場と降車場を選ぶと、車のタイプと乗車人数の選択画面に。そこで費用も出てくるので、足りない場合はチャージをすれば配車ができるようになります。（つまり、かかる金額に近い分だけ都度チャージすれば良いので安心） ★最近アプリがアップデートされて、トゥクトゥク以外にタクシーも呼べるようなアプリになったみたいです。（右が2024年11月時点のアプリの表示）

7）トゥクトゥクが到着したら、右下の「Scan」でカメラを起動して、車についているQRコードを読み取ると乗車完了！

こちらに向かっているトゥクトゥクとナンバープレートが表示されるので、どれくらいで来るかもわかって便利。到着したらQRコードを読むだけ。降りる時は何もしなくてOKです。

⚫︎2024年9月に利用した時の感想

配車まで結構時間がかかる、というtwitterを見ていたのですが、私の時はリクエストしてからものの1〜2分で配車完了、乗車場所までも5分以内に来る、という超スピード。平日の夕方〜夜、比較的早めの時間だったからかな？乗り合いではあるものの、同乗者がいたのは3回中1回だけでした。

配車も速いし、価格も安いし、なによりタイでしかできない体験なのでとっても楽しい♡ぜひ使っていただきたいし、ぜひこのままサービス継続してほしいアプリです。
