For Wilmon, after everything (thinking they had lost the other), they're here and they just want to let go and embrace, fall deep into these amazing feelings they have for each other. That nothing else comes close to and so they do. They pause and breathe each other in, nudge the other to bask in that feeling that - yes this, this just makes sense. Slow caresses and kisses to indulge in, because I didn't think I would get this again and is this real? Remembering when they both smile because it is. 💜❤️💜

The kind of out of control movements I enjoy…

Oh my god, exactly. That kind of thing is so hot. Belly churning, visibly distended with kicks and movement, constantly uneasy, and so heavily pregnant. It's obvious to anyone even looking in that direction that something's going on. And all you can do is rub it and pray it calms down before you garner more attention.

Unless, of course, you can't. And you're stuck with eyes all over, tracing over every twitch. Turning heads any time they hear your stomach gurgle, or your little huffs of exertion. Better hope it's not contractions. ;)

actually i do have something to say about this chapter and it's quite critical of it but also i'm tired tonight and i've been talking about it long and hard on discord already and putting it all together in a coherent post feels like too much of a task tonight. all i'm gonna say is that part 2 was very obviously going in a certain direction from the start, and i loved that direction, and to an extent it is still going in that direction but now very obviously missing a huge chunk of what stirred it in that direction. and i'm hesitant to simply say it's fujimoto that's dropped the ball on this (though it might the idealization, who's to say) because from the actual shape of the writing + slump in paneling/art + recent bitter interview by fujimoto + japanese audience is apparently vocally not a fan of asa + my own cursed knowledge of shounen jump and shueisha editors and how they react to a fall in sales = i think the lack of focus on asa has really hurt the themes of part 2 when she was an integral part of it + i think this wasn't entirely fujimoto's doing and it's very likely because she is apparently strongly disliked in japan and there's good reason to believe that fujimoto was told to not focus on her nearly as much bc sales slump and people complain as soon as she shows up. which sucks. becaue what made part 2 work as well as it did was the synergy and parallel between the two protagonists' paths, and the absence of asa's path in the past few months (both in universe and by real time in the comic) feels like a genuine writing and thematic and emotional hole in the comic that to me shows that she WAS supposed to be there. fujimoto had fully intended to write her in there bc there's a hole in the shape of her where she is very obviously supposed to fit. it isn't simply a question of "author forgets his female character" it's a question of "this crucial part of the manga is missing and the author is painfully aware of it and bitter about it too"

this is probably really only interesting to me and im not going to phrase this well at all but lucy rewriting the book of end is so intimate in a sort of like. well lets think about the technical implications of writing and language kind of way. theres no way natsu got up after that and was exactly the same as he was before.

maybe he uses the turns of phrases that lucy likes to use in her writing now, or a word somewhere got tweaked into an almost-the-same synonym. maybe he eats more, maybe he fights more, maybe he loves so intensely he can save the world with it. maybe hes everything lucy knows him to be and less everything he knew himself to be. maybe he sees her and knows her so well he might as well be looking at himself. maybe lucy gets deja vu sometimes when theyre talking, in the way that very old and very close friends recognize their own subtle behaviors and words in the other.

idk i just like to think about how characters and writing are strange, funhouse-mirror reflections of their authors and the people they want to reach. and anyway at the end of the day, writings all about love and theyve got loads to spare of that

alright so, i just realized someing bear with me:

A. the opening scene of the Barbie trailer is a reference/ mimic of a scene from 2001: Space Odyssey, (cool amazing love some little girls going batshit)

B. the film that opens on the same day as Barbie, Oppenheimer (ew) is directed by Christopher Nolan (also ew) who says that 2001:SO was a massive influence on him and his films and he loves it a fuckton

so, in conclusion i believe that barbie intentionally put the reference in there as a power move over the film it's destined to curb-stomp at the box office
