Because the Alenoaheather Fake Dating AU never truly leaves my brain, I've got a small addition.
After Alejandro and Sierra have done their puppet therapy bonding session, Alejandro has to throw away the remains of the Cody puppet that he used to show Sierra how toxic her relationship with him is.
He's at the trash can. The puppet has served its purpose. It's time to put the pathetic, miserable thing in the trash. Really, it's a mercy.
...He fakes throwing the Cody puppet away. In secret, he fixes the puppet and hides it away somewhere Sierra hopefully won't find it.
He knows he can't really hide it from the cameras. So in the confessional he just says that he would hate to throw away his hard work, even if it was important for the lesson.
(Just have a short ramble about writing under the read more if you're interested)
[On a meta/writing standpoint, I just really like Alejandro using puppets as a way of processing his emotions. It allows him the safety to explore the more vulnerable parts of himself while still maintaining a distance by pretending it's just the puppet/for the performance.
Mind you, I love puppets being used as symbolic of Alejandro's manipulative tendencies. It's tried and true for a reason. I just think it'd be neat to use puppets/dolls as a positive mechanism of change for once.]

my family values gold jewelry as like an ancestry passing down of assets (especially for roma women) and it became a topic of conversation cus i dont own any gold just silver and my grandma wanted to give me some but apparently my aunt pawned all of our ancestors gold 20yrs ago and its my grandmas biggest regret as she tells me stories of that gold,
how it was passed to my great grandmother a woman that wished to trouble no one to the point of dying w a set of folded clothes she wished to be buried in, her gold for her daughters and the money needed for her burial next to her bed so the act of dying didnt inconvenience anyone ever,
how my grandmas oldest sister was the last to wear that gold and as she was dying in the hospital her last words were "take my gold off before they come get me or it wont be seen again" ,
she grits her teeth when she remembers all the work sweat blood and tears that has gone to owning and passing it down generations, how it wasnt all the same gold, pieces of it would come from different family ends at different eras from different places, how invaluable it was as our family history and how vile it was for it to be pawned effectively erasing everything it was meant to signify not as jewelry but as memento as a traveling altar to our ancestors, none of us are buried w gold because the point is passing it on, and its just gone it ended and everytime my grandma digs her heels in to take me to a jewelry store to get me gold where we just silently look and dont buy anything we both feel how devastating it is that things are the way they are

Thinking about saw 3 and how lynn’s role is v much paralleled to adam’s. she’s as much a pawn and object in amanda’s game as adam was in lawrence’s - it’s not really about survival or even what her presence can do for john, it’s about the role she plays for someone else’s benefit. it’s about how her life/death isn’t even about Her it’s about what it means for amanda (and jeff). there’s the illusion of active participation within the game but at the end of the day she and adam are subject to the actions of the primary player(s)
and then to take it one layer further both adam And lynn fulfil the same role as the paralysed man in amanda’s first test like all of it compounds on Her layer upon layer. no one gets better no one changes no one ever even escapes. you are eternally experiencing the trap you are eternally being forced to choose between your life and someone else’s. sick in the Fucking head i’m gonna bring john back to life so i can kill him again for what he’s done to her

No thoughts head empty, just Kaeya gently running a hand through your hair as you both lie down on the couch with a warm blanket sharing stories and drinks. Body relaxed, mind at ease.
His thumb rubs at your arm lovingly with a tiny smile as you recount something funny that happened a few days ago. He loves seeing you smile, loves to hear your laugh and excited rambling.
He kisses your forehead and chuckles at the blush that blooms on your cheeks, but you just feel so happy, so warm.
This is nice...
hhhhhhhh crys!! you always put the prettiest, loveliest images in my mind of my faves.
just...spending quality time alone w kaeya like this, enjoying a couple of cocktails at home together while exchanging stories and laughs. mindlessly twirling a strand of his long, blue hair around your fingers as you recount and bemoan the sheer lack of competence you have to deal with at work some days. and he reminds you in his pleasant, melodic voice,
"just remember, my love...stupidity is job security,"
sending you into another fit of chuckles because he's so right?? then you shake your head while telling him how entertained you are by his way with words sometimes. and it makes him smile back at you bc hearing you say the things you like about him warms his once-icy heart. he secretly hopes that you never get tired of him and his cheeky antics, not knowing that his playfulness is one of the things that made you fall in love with him in the first place.

— WHAT CHESS PIECE REPRESENTS YOU?
BLACK PAWN
You are a black pawn. Don't let pawn be misleading, this means you're full of potential. Being the pawn, you're one of two pieces that can move first. But since you're black, you're always one step behind white. Who is it that you're trying to catch up to so badly? Black doesn't always mean you have to be in someone else's shadow. If anything, it means that you can be one step ahead of them, hiding intelligence that no one would consider you even have. Be careful how you use this information because alone a pawn is easy to fall but too smothered and you won't be able to move. Regardless, you'll become a force of nature by the end of your journey. What would you sacrifice along the way, is perhaps a better question than what will you become at the end.

Everyone always asks me what I plan to do with my degree. That's a terrible question, especially since society often prevents me from doing anything with my degree at all...at least in the way that the question generally implies. I'd rather be asked what that knowledge and training did for me as a person, even if it's a bit harder to answer.
My 'dead-end' degree has shaped me into a more thoughtful, responsible, and even cautious person. I'm more considerate of experiences beyond my own and ask questions with the intent to understand, to overcome my pre-installed biases, and to get a more accurate picture of whatever issue I'm faced with. It has, I hope, made me a better person and equipped me with the skills to become a better person (because I will definitely need to update as times change, new needs arise, and new discoveries are made).
These are abstract things that help me every single day. That, I believe, is far more important than any job I may or may not get based on numerous factors often beyond my ability to control. So even if I don't do anything with my degree, it has nonetheless done many things for me that myself and others don't always appreciate enough.
