I'm going to be super fucking self-indulgent. I really really want to do a fic more or less set in Vampire the Masquerade. I've figured out most of their clans, which, if you know the system, I have my reasons for some of them even if it might look like it doesn't make sense.

On the villain side, things get a little more interesting I think. Given their history, I feel like Zarkon is Ventrue, but maybe diablerized a Malkavian, and in his new-found insanity, defected to the Sabbat, especially after Honerva was embraced by an old Tzimisce (so not a flesh crafter)

Werewolf Keith + Vampire Lance

This story starts with Keith, who has never gotten along with werewolves, looking for Shiro (who is himself a vampire). And Lance is just an average, very competitive human, and is tired of this new student (Keith) one uping him and driving him insane in all his classes (in more ways than one).

Until one day... Lance discovers the whole shebang, including some secret war between vampires. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time, maybe looking for Keith after he has been missing classes for a couple of weeks just after lance gets a grip on his own feeling...But still, he is caught/deathly hurt in the middle of that, and one vampire (kof Allura kofkof) turns him.

And that's just the beginning of it all, with recently turned vampire lance finding and getting into this new life with cryptids and blood with his werewolf bf Keith.

I have been on this tag since day one and the majority of the posts and blogs I've seen adore Louis. Pointing out canonical traits like him actively lying in Canon books and now the show as well is not being hateful or disrespectful. Saying episode 5 and the whole tale infact being revisited is Not fans of lestat being apologists. It is what Anne Rice canonically did with the Vampire Lestat and the books that followed. Louis is loved widely in this tag. Lestat is being hated on as a result of the villainous portrayal in season 1 which again Canonically is a tale (not a true one) being told both in books and in the show. A lot of people however took it too far with the lestat hate and started calling anyone who liked him names and then people starting to fight back and the rest is how we got to here. If there is no understanding to fans of both characters the two most loved characters in the show -who at the end of the series canonically end up together- then what the hell is the point of being in this Fandom in the first place? Please don't take this as a personal attack it wasn't meant as one but as another person's experience and thoughts of the fandom so far.

I’m going to be honest I find this very hard to believe that it was only just about liking Lestat.

I’ve gotten more hate and vitriol from Lestat fans ever since I’ve joined this fandom. I’ve never talked bad about his character and I make it very clear on my blog that I love him and that he’s my favorite character both in the show and in the books. And yet, because I calmly engaged with a popular blog’s theory about episode 5; everyday I wake up to hate in my inbox that I have to delete. Lestat fans have been nothing but disrespectful to me for no reason.

Im a Lestat fan myself and I talk about how much I love him all the time it seems and I haven’t been once called a racist. I’ve had anons accusing me of hating Lestat but never ones accusing me of racism. This is the second time someone has told me that Lestat fans are bullied for liking him when all I’ve seen and experienced thus far is the exact opposite which begs the question: Is it really because you like Lestat or is it something deeper that other people picked up on but not you yourself? 3. How is anyone’s rational response as a human to someone calling them racist for liking Lestat is to deny the systemic oppression of black people? This is the main thing that doesn’t make a lick of sense to me. How did we go from, “Users were attacked for liking Lestat” to “So a bunch of blogs are now starting to agree with and talk about how reverse racism is real.” I’ve gotten attacked for liking characters before and my reaction to that is blocking whoever is causing trouble and ignoring them. I got harassed to hell and back in the Voltron fandom for defending and liking Allura and never at any point was I thinking about how affirmative action is the real systematic evil plaguing society. If this kind of thinking was always in the back of certain people’s head as they were analyzing the show then it’s safe to say that people weren’t mad at them just because they liked Lestat. You can not properly analyze a show where a black man talks about how he was systematically oppressed for being black when you don’t even believe in systemic oppression yourself. How can you sit down and watch this show where Louis is constantly being put down by the white people around him, where he has to pretend to be his husband’s chauffeur, where you see white people burning a black neighborhood, where Louis and Claudia cant even sit next to Lestat and have to sit at the back of the bus and come out of it thinking that reverse racism exists in our society? Louis is the age of a lot of black people’s great grandfather, what he went through was not that long ago and the society he lives is still alive today.

4. What purpose would it serve narratively to have Louis and Claudia lie about episode 5? I’m leaving this question here because the last time I tried to have this discussion it led to anons hounding me.

Thorned Feathers Make A Man - an au where Vax was killed by the Briarwoods in Emon and becomes a vampire after the fact

Present - a follow-up story to Kinship And Makeup, explores Vax's trauma some more and builds on the budding friendship between Vax and Cassandra

vaxleth fluff - taking place during the year off, Vax and Keyleth take a stroll and think on everything that has happened and may happen

a rewrite of an old, weird multi-fandom crack fic I wrote as a teenager

a fallout au - modern day Exandria is turned into an irradiated wasteland and years later society tries to rebuild itself with difficulty

a stardew valley au - Percy arrives in Pelican Town after escaping the Briarwoods and meets some really interesting characters

psychopomp!vax au - this would have been a series of snapshots of Vax helping various CR characters pass on after a reader-insert introduction??? was also possibly going to have a sister fic exploring the idea of Vax getting an extra week to get his affairs in order before he ascended

"Morning everybody," Lance strolled into the dining room. He wore his blue lion slippers, dark blue sweatpants, and black half-tank binder.

"Morning Lance," everyone called out.

Keith stared at his goo. Breathing around the jealousy that always spiked when he saw Lance being...well himself. It sometimes vibe checks Keith when he remembers that somehow. He just happened to be in the universe where three out of the five paladins of Voltron were trans.

Lance came out first, though, it would be hard to come out since he was never in the closet. The first night they landed on Arus, and met Coran and Allura he was already asking about a replacement for his T-shot.

Pidge was next. Revealing their own nonbinary identity after the fight with Sendek.

Which just left Keith in the closet. Shiro and Coran were the only ones that knew. Shiro since he was his mentor before Kerberos and basically his older brother at this rate. And Coran so he could get his own T-shot.

Neither of them cared, and neither of them saw him any different. So why couldn't he tell the others? He wasn't ashamed of his identity in any way shape or form. But he wasn't like Lance. Nonchalant. Uncaring if people saw him in his binder or prepping for his injection. He was outspoken about when he came to terms with his identity, how he told his family, and how he chose his name.

Deep down, Keith wanted to be like that. But, it went against everything he had built for himself. He was Keith, the lone wolf, king of isolation. He kept his secrets under lock and key.

"Whatcha thinking about, Mullet?" Lance's face filled his vision, his head was leaning back on the edge of the couch.

"Nothing."

"Sureeee," Lance stepped over the back of the couch and flopped down next to him. "You had that look on your face."

Keith scoffed, "what look?"

Lance morphed his face into an over-the-top serious face. "I'm Keith and I'm thinking about flying my lion and punching Sendek."

"Oh shut up." He playfully shoved Lance.

Lance laughed in response, the room falling into a comfortable quiet. Lance hummed under his breath and Keith stole a glance at him.

Blue met dark purple and the skin around Lance's eyes crinkled as he smiled. "Like what you're seeing?"

"As if," Keith forced himself to look at his boots, praying his face wasn't as red as it felt.

Lance hummed again, letting his head roll back against the cushion. "Would you ever kiss me?"

Keith choked on nothing, "what?!"

Lance whistled, his eyes looking at the ceiling. "Damn, way to hurt a guy's feelings."

"I-uh-shit sorry. It was just random."

"Yeah...I guess it was." Lance adjusted his head so he could look at the other boy. "Would you?"

Keith could feel his heart in his throat. His brain was split. Be honest or lie. He silently weighed the pros and cons.

Pros:

-He did like Lance. More than he cared to admit

-He did want to kiss him...a lot.

-They were in the middle of a war, tomorrow could be their last day so why hide them?

Cons:

-What if this was a weird prank?

-Would kissing him ruin their ability to form Voltron? Would it ruin the team?

-What if Keith was a lousy kisser?

"Mullet?"

"Uh...Yeah, I would." His skin felt on fire. "Sorry if that's weird to say."

Lance laughed, "why are you saying sorry? I asked you first!"

Keith shrugged, his face burning.

"Have you thought about it?"

Keith didn't respond.

Lance sighed, "I've thought about kissing you."

"You're lying."

"I'm not!"

Keith groaned, "you can't think about kissing me! You don't even know me."

Lancer rolled his eyes, "I know plenty about you. Got some deep dark secret? Like you need to sleep upside down or something?"

"No...How did you even come up with that?"

Lance shrugged, "trying to see if you're a vampire."

"Yes, I'm a vampire."

"Knew it."

Silence. And while Keith thrived in it, Lance became antsy in it. "I share a secret you share one?"

"This some kind of game?"

"Sure."

"Okay," Lance threw his head side to side. Making sure no one was eavesdropping. He dropped his voice into a whisper, "I've never kissed anyone before."

Keith raised his right eyebrow. "Really?" He said with a hint of uncertainty.

Lance gave a stern nod, "cross my heart and hope to die."

"Oh...I mean I've never kissed anyone either so join the club."

"Realy?!" Lance's voice jumped a couple of octaves. "But every girl at the Garrison was falling at your feet."

Keith shrugged, "I only like guys."

Lance clicked his tongue, "touche," he raised his eyebrows, silently begging to be told the deep dark secret. "Soooooo...?"

Keith wrapped his arms around his core. "I'm trans."

Lance blinked, "wait. Like you're a girl? Why didn't you tell anyone?!"

Keith laughed, throwing his head back at the motion. "No, I'm a dude. Like...a trans guy."

Lance froze, his mind clearly trying to put the pieces together.

Keith snapped his fingers in front of his ocean eyes, "Earth to Lance?"

"YOU'RE TRANS?!" He screamed, jumping where he sat slightly. "ohmygod the team has two trans guys what are the odds?"

"Shhhhh," Keith pushed his index finger against the other boy's lips. "I don't want to tell the entire castle yet."

Lance nodded, moving his head back away from his finger. "Does anyone else know? I swear to god I won't tell a soul."

"Just Shiro and Coran. And you now."

Lance beamed, grinning ear to ear. "Thanks for telling me."

Lance did keep his secret but eventually, Keith told the rest of the team. They obviously didn't care or judge him. The most stressful news to deliver to the team was after he and Lance started dating.

Luan was watching Kallie and Eze on the dance floor when Leo came to sit on the bench beside her. She glanced at him, surprise evident on her face.

“Sorry,” he said sheepishly. “Do you mind if I join you?”

“It’s fine,” she told him, and then with a slight edge to her tone she added: “But just in case it might bother you, I was just about to have some plasma fruit.”

“Oh, no… it’s okay, go ahead,” Leo assured her. “You don’t bother me, Luan… Or, well, not for the reason you think… anyway,” he continued, not quite meeting her bright red gaze. He was naturally terrible at talking to sims. The added tension between them only made his social anxiety worse.

“Care to explain, then?” Luan asked.

“It’s… my former wife,” he muttered.

Luan’s expression changed from one of general aloofness to curiosity. “I still don’t follow,” she said in an attempt to encourage him to open up more. 

If it weren’t for the mead, perhaps Leo wouldn’t have told her the whole story…

“Allura was… everything to me,” he sighed and looked toward the newlyweds. “After our daughter was born, she began to act out of character… She’d disappear for weeks on end and could never quite keep her story straight. I suspected she was having an affair… It took me months to gather up the courage to confront her about it, but when I finally did... I found out I was correct. Long story made short, she ended up choosing him instead of me... instead of us.” He looked toward Gemma, so pretty in her pink dress... just like her mother used to be... before...

“He was a vampire, I presume?” Luan asked.

Leo nodded. “I could’ve forgiven her… I could’ve made things work for the sake of Gemma… but she wanted him to turn her… She... willingly let herself become— Well, anyway... she was never the same after that night. She was completely unhinged, completely driven by her thirst... and she didn't care. She—she terrified me.”

“I’m sorry,” Luan hesitated for a moment before touching his hand.

“I know now that I was wrong to assume every vampire would be like her. I’ve seen how you are with everyone… how you are with the child… You’re… a very different sim than her.”

“I appreciate you telling me all of this, Leo,” Luan smiled.

there are more though its late and i cant think of them right now, but if anyone would like to request anything id love to give it a try.

you can also request for anything that isn't on here if you want since i might be able to write for it anyway, if that makes sense.

what i mean is that even though there is a chance that i cant/wont write for it, there is also a chance that i will so dont be afraid to ask!

i would also like to add that:

english is not my first language so if there are any typos or anything you can always let me know

im a beginner in writing fanfic however i really want to get better at it, so if you do have even a vague idea for a request or a trope or au id love to try writing for it

i mainly want to write fluff, id also like to write angst with a fluffy ending or just try out angst in general [i know the first fic i posted here is angst but still-]

i don't mind writing things that are a little darker (for example things like traumatic events) though only a vague description of having been through it, I WILL NOT write it "currently" happening in the fic. there are a few small exceptions, but not many

fics based on songs [or specific parts of lyrics]

poly, or any kind of queer relationship

pregnancy/implied pregnancy

suggestive on that note, here's what i WON'T write (a few will be repeated from the list of what i will write, so apologies for that if it annoys you):

incest

pedophilia

full on smut

graphic fighting scenes (i suck at writing them when i'm not in the mood T.T)

sexual assault (unless it's a vague memory/trauma for a character, for example when a character talks to reader abt why reader has been hesitant for touch and its just a heartfelt moment of opening up to eachother about what happened if that makes sense) i can write for any reader [gn, fem, male, nonbinary, etc]

ofcourse if anyone has any tips or any feedback on any future fics then please do let me know! im open for suggestions to improve my writing skills.

Voltron: vampire lance trying to enjoy his blood.

I have this one Voltron AU where Lance ends up turning into a vampire and now has to adjust to his new life.

Important note: when this lance gets his blood, he gets it by catching wild animals, and carefully siphoning their blood through an IV into thermoses to drink later. without harming the animals. This lance has a bit of an issue when it comes to feeding. He doesn’t like the idea of killing for blood.

Lance is sitting on the couch in the common area drinking a thermos of blood when Keith walks in and sits down next to him.

Keith: hay, what cha drinking?

Lance: … um… blood?

Keith: no, I mean WHAT are you drinking?

Lance: … again BLOOD!

Keith: what life form did that blood come from?

Lance: ah, why didn’t you just ask that in the first place?

Keith: just answer the question.

Lance looks down at his blood, turning it in his hand and shrugging.

Lance: hm, meh idk some alien animal we caught back on the last planet we visited.

Keith: what did it look like?

Lance: idk some kind of weird purple hippo-like animal.

At this Keith gasps in anger.

Keith: WTF MAN?! HOW COULD YOU?

Lance: dude what’s your problem? Why are you getting so bent out of shape for?

Keith: HIPPOS ARE MY FAVORITE ANIMAL!

Lance: ok? And?

Keith: YOUR EATING MY FAVORITE ANIMAL!

Lance: omg are you serious right now?

Just then shiro and the others walk in, hearing all the commotion.

Shiro: hay, I heard shouting, what’s going on in here?

Lance: Keith is throwing a fit because I’m drinking his favorite animal!

Keith: HES DRINKING ALIEN HIPPO BLOOD!

Shiro looks so confused right now.

Shiro: … huh?

Pidge: only you two could create drama out of nothing.

Hunk: I don’t see what the big deal is. Lance has to eat too. And it’s not like he actually killed the animal to get its blood.

lance: THANK YOU HUNK!

Keith: still how would you feel if he drank the blood of something you liked? What if he drank the mice’s blood?

Pidge: Keith, the mice aren’t even large enough to serve as an hors d’oeuvre.

Keith: what about kaltenecker?! What if lance ate her?!

Lance: I would never drink kaltenecker Keith!

Keith: and why not?

Lance: cause she is like family! I’d never feed on family! And seriously Keith, I can’t just decide not to feed on everyone’s favorite animal. If I did that then I wouldn’t be able to drink blood from anything period.

Keith: so your saying it doesn’t matter what animal it is, you’d eat it regardless?

Lance: ok let me stop you right there. I may drink animal blood but I do still have my standards. There ARE animals I won’t drink.

Hunk: like what?

Lance: I draw the line at bug-like, cute adorable and babies.

Then Keith mumbles.

Keith: I bet you’d eat a baby hippo.

Lance: NO KEITH I WOULD NOT!

Keith: just you wait lance, someday the universe will exact karma upon you for eating a hippo!

Lance: for the love of god Keith! First off, it’s not an actual hippo! It LOOKED LIKE A HIPPO! Second, I didn’t eat it! I just had it donate a few pints of its blood and it went on its merry way! STILL ALIVE AND VERY MUCH NOT EATEN!

Allura walks in.

Allura: paladins! Get your armor on. We have a diplomatic mission on the planet kolslac. The kolslacians wish to join the voltron coalition and are requesting an audience with us.

Lance gives a sigh of relief.

Lance: OH THANK GOD! Saved by the princess!

Shiro: all right team! Let suit up and go meet these kolslacian diplomats.

(Later planetside)

Lance stood frozen in horror at the sight that awaited team voltron on the planet kolslac. The kolslacians as it turned out were a race of purple bipedal hippo-like aliens.

Lance was mortified.

Lance: (whispers) you gotta be kidding me!

Hunk: (whispers) dude, are you ok?

Lance: (whispers back) no I am NOT ok! I’m surrounded by a race of alien hippo people! This is Keith’s fault! He wished this! He asked the universe to punish me for drinking alien hippo blood and now I’m in hippo hell!

Hunk: buddy calm down! I don’t think the universe is really punishing you.

Lance: oh are you really gonna tell me that after the insane conversation we had about drinking alien hippo blood, that us coming to a planet of actual alien hippo people is just some random coincidence?!

Hunk: …um.. ok I’ll admit that is one hell of a coincidence and it surprises the heck out of me too but still, I really don’t think you’re in any danger here. These guys don’t even know that you drank alien hippo blood. So I think you’re safe.

Lance: yeah unless some mullet goes and rats me out to his new alien hippo buddies.

Hunk: I don’t think Keith would do that.

Lance: you sure about that?!

Hunk: …um…

Hunk then turns to Keith and taps him on the shoulder.

Hunk: (whispers) Keith you wouldn’t tell these kolslacians about Lance drinking “you know what” would you?

Keith looks at hunk then turns his gaze towards Lance and give him the most evil grin.

Lance: I am so dead…😰

Fortunately, the alliance talks go over smoothly without incident and surprisingly Keith says nothing to the kolslacians in regards to lance drinking alien hippo blood. Everyone goes home happy. But Lance, the poor guy. He suffered through the entire thing freaking out about if the kolslacians will want to roast him on a stake or chase after him with alien versions of torches and pitchforks. Or maybe even a mob trampling him to death with their big hippo looking feet.

When it was all over and team voltron returns to the castleship, Lance gives a huge sigh of relief. But as soon as he sees Keith walking in, he turns to him and shouts…

Lance: I HOPE YOUR FREAKIN HAPPY NOW! I’M NEVER DRINKING ALIEN HIPPO BLOOD AGAIN!!!

Welcome to Round 1 of the Wasted Woman Poll, the tournament to see which fridged woman deserved better!

Thank you everyone for your patience for Round 1 to begin. Now that the semester is over, I finished the list of match-ups for the Round 1 bracket.

There were 89 contestants for this tournament. Anyone familiar with tournaments knows that it doing a 89-contestant, single-elimination tournament would be annoying. Rather than cutting out 25 contestants to make it a 64-contestant tournament, I opted to use the format of a 64-contestant tournament, just with some of the poll in Round 1 (a majority of them, actually) being three-way polls with a single winner rather than solely two-way polls. So out of the 89 contestants going into Round 1, only 32 will go on to Round 2. Many of the listings in Round 1 will be characters from the same series going against each other, so that the future rounds will be more varied.

The tournament will be split into 4 sets of 8 polls each, with every poll running for a whole link. Below the cut will be the list of match-ups for each set and when the polls will premiere.

If there are any mistakes at all (spelling, if a character appears twice, if the media someone is listed under is incorrect, etc.) please let me know! I did double-check it, but I'm only human so errors do happen.
