You had been stood at the side of the dance floor, watching the alcoholic beverage swirl around in the bottom of your red cup for the past 30 minutes, with your friends previously going off to do their own thing, had left you contemplating how much longer you should wait for your date to arrive.

The pop music blaring into your ears, had drowned out all other sense you had on what choice to make. That was until you felt someone tap on your back, which made you jump, before turning around to see your girlfriend standing in front of you.

"Holy shit, don't scare me like that." You said to her, putting your hand on your chest.

"Sorry," Quinn exclaimed, "I forgot to text you saying I'd be a bit late, my shift ran longer then I thought it would, and it put my whole getting ready ragime back by like 20 minutes." She added.

"It's okay," You replied, "For a moment, I thought you'd stood me up. I was just contemplating if I should leave or not."

"Me, stand up the most gorgeous girl I've ever set my eyes on? Never." The red head declared.

"Oh sure, yeah whatever you say." You laughed off, "Besides the point but, what are you supposed to be? I mean you do realise this is a costume party, plus you know Mindy and Tara will drag you home if they see you in something that looks nothing like a costume."

"I'm a vampire, duh." She said, spinning around to show off her cape, red and black striped stockings and black dress, before lifting her upper lip to reveal costume vampire fangs.

"Ah, got it. Bet you can't guess what I am." You stated.

The red head looked you up and down trying to assess your costume, before your t shirt caught her eye.

" 'Eat my brains' ," she read, "Ohhhhhh, your a zombie. See I thought the blood and the holes in your t shirt and trousers were what you usually wear." Quinn retorted.

"Haha, very funny." You replied, sarcastically.

"Well if it makes you feel any better about me being late, I think I know the perfect way to make it up to you." The girl stated.

"Oh yeah, what might that be." You questioned, tilting your head to the side.

"This." Quinn declared, intertwining her fingers into the belt loops on your jeans, before pulling you closer to her by them and kissing you deeply.

"I think you've infected me with your zombie virus." Quinn chirped, after you both broke the kiss.

"You're such a nerd." You chuckled.

Just before you both were about to kiss again, you heard somebody shout from across the dance floor.

"Ew, get a room! Jesus Christ, no one wants to see you guys exchange bodily fluids." Ethan shouted, as he and the rest of the gang were walking over to the two of you.

"Oh please, just because you're the only single person in our group doesn't mean you can hate on me for kissing my girlfriend." Quinn stated, putting her arm around your waist.

"Hey, come on guys, we're here to have fun. Let's not get into arguments just yet." Sam said.

"I'll drink to that." Chad declared, taking a swig of his bear.

"I second that" Tara agreed, before taking a sip of the red liquid that was in her cup.

"Frankly, I'll drink to anything, so hell yeah" Mindy quipped, finishing off the bottle of tequila in her hand.

"Okay, enough of hypothetical drinking. Let's get on the dance floor, get our best moves out and do some actual drinking." You stated.

"Now that I'll agree too," Anika said, "Plus I heard that the DJ is playing songs from '1989' very very soon, so I can't miss that, not for any of you." She added, eyeing Mindy

"That is something we can all agree on, none of us are gonna miss out on basically any Taylor Swift song to ever exist." Sam replied.

"Then what are we waiting for," Quinn declared, "Let's go top up our drinks and start dancing." She added.

Let's just say, all of you were dancing to the sound of Taylor Swift for many hours after that, and you had to get taxi's home because of how sore everybody's feet were.
