Released back in the mid-'90s, Goal Storm marked the kickoff of the Winning Eleven series, later known globally as Pro Evolution Soccer. It was Konami's first venture into realistic soccer simulations, but unfortunately, in my view, their realism-aimed attempt miserably failed.
Even in its heyday, while many praised it, I found it lacking credibility, favoring titles like Sensible Soccer (Amiga) and Soccer Superstars (Arcade), instead. Fast forward nearly 30 years, and the game's aged poorly, still plagued by familiar gameplay flaws—limited AI, awkward animations, and a frustrating button setup. There's no acquired taste here, just the same old issues.
The game's difficulty, even on the easiest setting, is unbalanced. Your opponent can swiftly turn the tables, making a comeback from nowhere. Thankfully though, your attempts to score are almost effortless since shooting diagonally from the box always guarantees a goal. Goalkeepers seem oblivious, making no effort to save. Based on this, why bother exploring other scoring tactics?
Sure, getting to the box isn't a walk in the park, but playing on the wings feels disproportionately rewarding. Gallop down the flank, reach the box, pass to the center, and you're likely to score. The AI catches on eventually, but by then, you've probably secured a comfortable lead.
Overall, while it's a game that never quite clicked with me, its undeniable significance in gaming history made it a necessary inclusion on our channel.
Fun fact: when I first tried Goal Storm, I doubted there'd ever be a sequel (I was a tad naive, haha), but look how that turned out. Almost a decade later, I foresaw Football Kingdom becoming a massive franchise, surpassing the likes of Fifa and PES. Yet, it ended up as a one-and-done deal; Namco never gave it a sequel. Goes to show, never judge a series by its initial (terrible) episode, right? Lol.

Looking for a certain stage show
Okay, I hope I'm doing this right. I'm looking for audio, or video if possible, of Standing At The Sky's Edge with the first cast which included Adam Hugill. I appreciate any help if there is one out there in finding it. Thanks for any help with this :)
