Hi! I'm alarmed at the moment but... What happened to veetiesims2? Their tumblr is still accessible but purged from all creations?! Are there any backups? I hope their content is/can be saved!
Hello anon! :-D do not fret, it seems they only changed URL, their new username is equinoxts2 :-)
Also, I'm sorry that I left packrat inactive for around 3-ish months, I've been working (I managed to get two jobs - yay!) which leaves me with very little freetime. Don't worry though, I won't abandon packrat :-) it will just take a lot longer for me to reply to asks etc since I don't have as much freetime as I used to.
With that being said, I hope you all in Ukraine stay safe. It's a horrible world we live in.

Just wanted to say I'm really getting to hate Chase more and more after this last round. I'm sure I speak for a lot of your readers when I say that Hanna deserves so much to be treated like an individual with thoughts and feelings, way more than the sum of those "valuable parts". Hope she manages to find some happiness and freedom eventually! *virtual hugs for Hanna*
I wholeheartedly agree with you! Hanna is already a lot more than Chase ever meant her to be, capable of forming her own opinions and making decisions of her own. And she's constantly learning and growing still.
Chase is... definitely not an easy person to like. Safe to say that compassion isn't his strongest suit.

Hi Deedee! I just binge read the entire +1 story so far and I have to say it really lifted me out of a bad point in the day. I've come to love Ollie and Rhett through their responses to asks alone, and reading the story itself made me love them even more. Oh I didn't know that it was that locked! That really explains why my born in-game sims suddenly had increases in interests they used to be low in. In that case... I think unlocking the interest to be random is much better. But of course that's up to you.
(I don’t remember how replies work... hopefully I don’t look foolish doing it this way... ^^U)
I’m leaning towards unlocking them all. While toddlers caring about work and politics is strange, I think knowing that my sims’ interests won’t ever be truly random bugs me more!
@veetiesims2, you already have yours unlocked? Did you mod that yourself or is there a mod out there for that? Because I tried searching for a mod for this for so long and couldn’t find one anywhere ;~; I was gonna share the file I made but if it already exists then there's no point XD

Hey anon! Thank you! I’m glad you’ve managed to get your decorations light up at night. As for the gap, sometimes, if a material has ‘alphatest enabled’ on ‘1′ it can interpret almost opaque (i.e. transparency at 50-70%) areas of the texture as fully transparent. Alphatest renders transparency strictly as true/false, or 1/0. I would recommend to turn alphatest off (set to ‘0′) and if you still need to have transparency in your day windows texture, make it work with ‘blend mode: blend’.

Ah, thank you Veetie! I’m so glad that so many people see Feverfew this way. I didn’t grew up in a town like this myself, but I really fell in love with small British towns and villages, so it was really something I wanted to try and recreate in-game.

Hello anon! You can download the whole thing, take the ‘FeverfewHoodCC’ folder and put it into your downloads folder without installing the whole thing. All the hood decorations, including river pieces, will appear as usual under ‘landmark’ and ‘misc’ submenu.

Is it me, or the first bit is lost somewhere? :D Well, lot imposters work a bit different comparing to usual CC. Although there’s still left some place for experiments and who knows, may be at some point we will be able to improve them somehow!

This ongoing fantasy story follows the Nuidya tribe of the village of Kulo Seeri, as they find themselves holding unexpected influence in their world. The gods have returned to walk the lands, children are being born with unusual powers - and in the middle of it all, the Nuidya will attempt to navigate the new era, deal with relationship drama, and still make sure there’s enough food stored for winter.

Veetie, hi! I’m very flattered to hear it! ^_____^ Yup, Dominick is available for download, but not on my simblr - he’s originally a sim by Trapping! (heads up:  the pics are busted, but the download link still works; it’s the very last link in the post, right above the linked video)
 I didn’t change any of his facial features so it didn’t feel right for me to upload my version, but if you’d like an exact replica of ‘my’ Dominick for your own game, I’d be more than happy to link you to the cc I used for him. ^^ Just shoot me another message and I’ll have the links up asap!

I think for the purpose of this neighborhood, they’re willing.  They are my ‘extra’ family in this ‘hood, so planned to be marries off to single men.  Each lady keeps her own earnings (not taxed), and is considered to be class fluid.

Maybe... but I have a feeling my Viking Warriors won’t worry too much about the legalities of prostitution.  And this neighborhood is fairly liberal when it comes to loving and all things sex!

Hello fellow simmers! The time has finally arrived! Kitten in the Window here, and I'm ready and raring to share the knowledge of custom pet genetics. It was actually surprisingly simple to achieve, believe it or not. I, like everyone else most likely, thought that custom pet genetics were impossible. But through curiosity and sheer stubbornness, I found that custom content for pets is actually very possible. I always wanted more options for pets, like supernatural eye colors or pets with aniscoria, and now they're finally a possibility.
Before getting started, this will require a few things: SimPe, an image editor of some sort, and a pet eye texture.
Step 1: This step is optional, so if you feel you don't need or want to you can skip this part and go to step 2. If you have a favorite pet eye default replacement you're hoping to turn custom, extracting the image is easy enough. In case you don't know how though, then locate the file, and open it up with SimPe. It should look like so:

You'll notice that all the texture files say either dubodysm or fubodysm. Dubody textures are for dogs and fubody textures are for cats, but both images are the same size and have the eyes in the same location, so you absolutely can slap feline eye textures on to canines and vice versa with no problems arising.
Find the exact image you wish to turn into a custom among the texture files. Hover down to the image and right click it. A little menu should appear like so

Click export. Name the image whatever you like, and put it some place you will remember and can keep track of. Repeat the process for any and all eye textures you wish to turn custom. Once you're finished, go ahead and close SimPe.
Step 2: Now it's time to create an eye. Before opening up Bodyshop, you will need a pet eye base. Creating one is very easy, but to save everyone the hassle I went ahead and created a base here: http://simfileshare.net/download/327620/. Download the file, and place it into your download folder as you normally would. Now we can finally open up Bodyshop. Once loaded, click on 'Create Parts' -> 'Start New Project' → 'Create Genetics'. Go to Bodyshop's eye section and select my pet eye template.

You'll notice that the eye is on the side of the sim's head. This is exactly how it should look, so don't worry. Click the 'Export Selected Textures' button on the bottom, and name you project whatever you like. In my case, I will call it 'test'.
Step 3: Recoloring our pet eye. Go to your game's project folder and find the new project you have created, then open up it's base texture in the image editor of your choice. If you extracted a texture to customize in Step 1, then open up that instead. Now we will start recoloring our eye. Bear in mind that pet eyes are rather small and undergo some stretching in game, so some recolors might look odd, especially if they have a lot of detail. I went ahead and recolored my test eye like this:

Once your done editing, save the image as a BMP and let it overwrite the original image in your project's folder. Refresh the preview sim to ensure your eye recolor shows up correctly and is still on the side of the head. Enter a tool tip if you like, then click 'Import to Game'. Once it is done, quit Bodyshop.
Step 4: Go to your game's SavedSims folder and find the package file you just created. It should have a series of 8 numbers followed by the project name. Open that package file with SimPe. There should be 8 files inside, but we only care about one: the Texture Overlay XML (XTOL). It should say uuface_eye_alien if you used my pet eye template. Click it, and the plugin view will look like this.

The three sections I circled are the only ones that we will be editing, all the other ones we will be leaving alone. The value for Age (dtUInteger) will be changed to 0x00000038. Like with human sims, 10 is for elders, and 8 is for adults, 20 is for infants. So 20+10+8=38. Gender (dtUInteger)'s value will become 0x00000003, if it isn't already. Last but certainly not least is Species (dtUInteger). If your eyes are for cats, then the value should change to 0x00000008. If your eyes are for dogs, then the value would be 0x00000006. (And as @ivy-sims has found, changing the value to 0x0000000E makes the eyes available to both cats and dogs.) When finished, the plugin view should look like one of these examples:

Make sure to commit your changes, then save.
Step 5: Finally, it's time to test our eye. Exit or minimize SimPE, and open up your game. Since there are no pets in Bodyshop, then only way to test our eyes is through the game’s Create A Sim function. So go Create a Cat/Dog to see if your eye shows up and functions correctly.

Thank you, I didn’t even think of that. It’ll work for the park definitely, but I’m not so sure about the town hall or more maintained areas.

Place an AGS ban object on the lot where you don't want them fishing, if memory serves.
