Also, you actually saw a kid pee pantless at a party? 😭
moon was fascinated by the process and wanted to give it a try! turns out he's quite good at it. wonder if that'll come up again later? ;)c
and yes lol, the entire campground scene after the nap is based on an actual camping experience i had, though i was in a tent and it was during summer. a pantsless kid did indeed just take a piss in the middle of a midnight party. wife and i were losing our shit laughing

I like listening to covers of songs I like because they usually add a different way to hear the same song. For reference, look up the multiple covers of Ghost Riders in the Sky.
So, with that in mind, I was in the mood for Secret Agent Man by Johnny Rivers. But most of not all of the covers play almost the same as the original, or the variation they add doesn't end up fitting that much (still, there's a catchy one by Bruce Willis, yes, THAT Bruce Willis).
Except the one by Blues Traveler (the one they use in Ace Ventura 2), which I ended up liking as much as the original if not more.

🪔 .. April 03 .. birthday wishes to Ef Haarsha Balraj from South Africa .. Ef Krishna urf Kris Dwivedi from Bilaspur CG .. and Ef Divyansh Rawat from Lucknow .. love and happiness .. ❤️❤️❤️🌿 and all the good wishes from the family Ef
..
and the Sunday meetings at the Gate be in preference of course .. hence here
And the very revealing aspect for the coming day be that on April 3, for the first time an adventure took place .. the first plane to fly over the Everest .. in the year 1934 , apparently ..
Justification :
📌 .. and on this day .. April 3, 1933 .. conquering the impossible .. happened the first fly ever over Everest 🏔️ .. by two British aircraft of type Westland Wallace bi-planes .. crewed by Squadron Leader Douglas-Hamilton and Colonel LVS Blacker in one and Flight Lieutenant MacIntyre and Mr SR Bonnet in the other .. they took off from Lalbalu aerodrome, near Purnea, India .. the flight lasted for around three hours, covered a return distance of 320 miles reaching nearly 30,000 feet clearing the mountain by a reported 100 feet .. close range photographs of Mt Everest proved the achievement which previously was not possible to any airplane ..
further justification -
the peak , the highest point on Earth .. the mountain , the Himalayas and the feat that seems to this generation to be no big deal, because they are unaware of the conditions and circumstances that prevailed then ..
Everest .. named by the British when they ruled over India ..
In the nineteenth century, the mountain was named after George Everest, a former Surveyor General of India. The Tibetan name is Chomolungma, which means “Mother Goddess of the World.” The Nepali name is Sagarmatha, which has various meanings.
Sagarmatha .. ‘sagar’ , the Ocean .. ‘matha’ churning .. and the Indian mythology that the Oceans were churned by the mountain to produce the ‘amrit’ ..
my interpretation .. though the knowledge from the records says this :
Sagarmatha is a Sanskrit word, from sagar = "sky" (not to be confused with "sea/ocean") and matha = "forehead" or "head", and is the modern Nepali name for Mount Everest.
the Goddess of the Sky .. in Tibet it is addressed as
Therefore, the historic, local Tibetan name for Mount Everest is Chomolungma, also spelled Qomolangma, meaning "Goddess Mother of the World." Chomolungma is pronounced "CHOH-moh-LUHNG-m?." The Nepali name for Mount Everest is Sagarmatha, meaning "Godess of the Sky." Some refer to the entire massif of peaks as ...
and the many adventure stories on the Sagarmatha prevail ..
And the great thrill at the time of a shooting in Nepal, when I went on a plane that flew us right next to the Everest and the experience almost unreal ..
Such be the moments of remembrance ..
It was a touristy matter and many such flights I do believe operate from Kathmandu, Nepal for the pleasure of tourists .. even now ..
Its majesty has never reduced despite the conquering of it by several now .. and the very sight of which evokes so much wonder .. the wonder of the Gods .. the makers that introduced us to us all .. and the reason of its formation .. that the entire subcontinent now known as India was a part of the continent of Africa, at Egypt .. and many millions of years ago the entire subcontinent broke away from the mother board and shifted travelled over the Indian Ocean, to the Eastern sub continent and attached itself there .. the impact of the joining of the land mass being so great , it formed the realm, now known as the Himalayas !!
I do not have authenticity on this , but it does seem to be believed , historically and geographically .
and the day in recuperation and the meeting at the Gate , of the ever present well wisher ..
Amitabh Bachchan
and the signature above out of place , because the icon that opens the Desktop to search the sign is JUST not appearing ..
and this has been on several times before too ..
this model of the updated Mac, the Ventura is absurd and has created many problems ..
deliberately done to attract more when the changed model is brought out ?? marketing and manufacturing often does that .. the deliberation to access the mode of investing in the latest and doing away with the present ..

yes! sorry i keep saying "soon" and then no chapter appears, i've been working 45+ hours per week the past few months due to short staffing. hard to drum up the motivation to write when i'm exhausted every night, but the story is still percolating in my head and i've been writing again slowly :)
my master file also got corrupted and i had to rewrite ch 6 from scratch sob, but it's nearly done now
Just to preface this post/these posts: Tumblr won't let me put more than 30 photos in one post so I'm doing 3 posts about California before delving deeper into Salt Lake City, where I'll be spending four months to study. I have more photos, and narrowing 400 photos down to 30 was very difficult!
So—it finally happened. World's biggest California fanboy visited to California. Like I said, I'll be studying in Utah for four months, but I visited California first.
I stayed for around two weeks with my friend David. First, some pictures I took in the area where I stayed.
We traveled around the area a ton! We went to Santa Barbara where they have a lot of walkable streets and a pier (that is—for some reason—accessible by car, meaning you can't walk there in peace, but instead have to watch out for cars... on a pier... very weird). There was also a city party going on with people dancing in the streets, which was cool to see.
One of the things I was most excited for coming to Los Angeles was visiting The Griffith Observatory (and Griffith Park). If you didn't know: my all-time favorite movie is La La Land, where this observatory is prominently featured several times. I put on the La La Land soundtrack when we drove up to the Observatory, and I lived my little fantasy there for a while. It was insanely gorgeous; I wish I could've spent even more time there. From on top of the Observatory, the Hollywood sign is also very visible, especially with the great weather we had.
In Los Angeles, we also visited the Getty Museum, which is a very large museum on top of a mountain accessible by a little tram (not pictured). It also provides an incredible view of the entire city of Los Angeles which, again, was visible because of the great clear skies we experienced.
We also went to the Santa Monica pier which was luckily not accessible by car so it felt a bit more welcoming. There was a ton of overpriced merchandise so here's me holding the items I would've bought if they weren't so expensive.
Then lastly, of course, I met a lot of David's friends who I hung out with a lot—especially David's best friend. We had a lot of fun hanging out, talking, drinking, and going to the beaches at night.
Okay, I know this one's a long one but I just had an incredible time in California so I wanted to share that all with y'all. I know all the posts are kinda delayed but that's because it takes while for my film rolls to develop. It'll all be published here eventually :) Ok bye now

Imogen Reid’s Accept Yourself Or Die: From Mormon Missionary to Trans Punk travels from small-town Northern Ontario, to the Missionary Training Centre in Provo, Utah, to basement shows in Ottawa. It’s a story about staying stubbornly human in a world that wants to destroy you, and also about how weird it is going door-to-door trying to convert people to Mormonism.
Crossdresser: Growing Up Trans in the 1990s and 2000s, by Kat Rogue, explores what it does to a closeted trans girl to grow up saturated in the transmisogyny of 1990s pop culture and to come of age online, and how she managed to build her own relationship to femininity despite that. It argues that crossdressing, femme, and transness are more closely linked than some people think, and that Ace Ventura: Pet Detective really could have been great without all the transmisogyny.
The two books are published back-to-back in a single volume for a double gut-punch of heartfelt, angry, and funny reflections on transfemme coming of age.
