A New Season
Snow fell by the many inches.
The quiet harbinger had arrived.
Early hours illuminated.
A muffled blanket of white.
Rumbling across the rural landscape a
low moaning cry severed the night.
A foghorn of grief cut though
the darkness.
The lonely moo of a
Hereford cow
echoed
off
the
hills.
Her unwavering despair hung on
the icy air.
Haunting in its
urgency.
Unnerving in its
frequency.
Brief moments…

Mandatory sleepy drawing 🫡 yes New Hampshire is sleep talking alright, I just think he does that sometimes. Yes the context of his dream is based on a dream I personally had yesterday. I wonder if Vermont would stay up to listen to him like he's tuning into a radio station or wake up when Nh says some alarming things in his sleep, love these old marrieds

our chainsaw has been having issues so we weren't able to take care of the entire tree that fell across the driveway (i clipped it back with my other arbor tools so we could walk/drive under it) but tonight a neighbor came out with their own chainsaw, without even asking, and just....took care of it for us. i love humans

A Snowstorm, A Sugar House, and A Maple Creemee…
Inches fell by the many. Accumulating by the foot. The snow we had longed for in Vermont had finally arrived. January and February proved disappointing yet late this March we understood the lion’s share.
Snow quietly fell for the many hours. Cocooned in my little house on the hill while a blur of white was just outside my window. The plow our only visitor.
The weekend was dedicated to celebrating…
