Nico has seasonal effective disorder in the summer and spring time. Also has spring allergies (that Persephone gave him) and heat intolerance (possibly because of Tartarus or because of his powers that are acclimated to the cold. The ground frosted when he killed Bryce and temperature dropped to freezing).

Nico thinks it is strange most of his depression takes place in the summer. Mostly because he thought it would be in winter around the time Bianca died and around Christmas and his birthday and Bianca’s birthday (Which he is depressed during those times. Anniversary of Bianca’s death and her bday and his first Christmas and birthday without her).

But in between those anniversaries he finds he is very at peace with himself. He is happiest during fall. Because nothing bad happened to him during the fall. (And he also loves Halloween). And the temperature is starting to cool off and he’s coming out of that summer funk of laziness where he always felt to slow and sluggish and too depressed to do anything fun. He’s really starting to feel like himself again. He’s going outside a lot more just to enjoy the nice weather. He stayed cooped up during the summer cause it’s too hot for him to walk outside without passing out. The fall brings a nice sense of calm yet lively energy for him. He has a lot more energy.

Winter is a rollercoaster of melancholy and bittersweet feelings. But at least it’s not just laying at the bottom of canyon and not being able to get up like spring and summer. During winter Nico has the amazing feelings of never getting tired or fatigued from using his powers. The cold air rejuvenates him. He loves the snow. Snow angels snow ball fights snow forts and igloos. Building snowmen. His powers are at their full height. He is confident within himself and charismatic and more like the kid that Percy rescued from Westover. He loves Christmas. He loves spending Christmas in a place where he is happy and knows he is loved and has friends and family. winter is coming inside from the cold and sitting by the nice warm fire with a good book cuddled up to Will or Hazel. The world is so beautiful for winter and fall.

But Winter is also feeling the raw overwhelming emotions of losing Bianca all over again. Winter is reliving that first year without her. The same Winter he realized there is no Santa Clause because he didn’t have anyone to sneak presents to him while he was sleeping. Winter is a plethora of childhood trauma. It comes in strong waves and yet passes so quickly. One minute he’s crying his eyes out over Bianca and the next he’s feeling that easy sense of peaceful yet lively energy of winter. Bittersweet. Bitter that Bianca and his mother are not there with him. Sweet that he is still alive to see the beauty of winter in all its glory.

Summer and spring are nothing. Spring is nothing but allergies and being too sick to get out of bed and snotty tissues everywhere and runny stuffed up nose and never being able to breathe clearly and a sore throat and coughing fits that could dislodge a lung and migraines and full body aches and never being able to sleep peacefully his sleep always broken by being suffocated by too much snot.

Summer is being too hot to step outside without almost passing out. Summer is totally draining. Energy sapping. He can barely use his powers at all. The air reminds him too much of Tartarus. Too hot too humid. Too sticky and gross and sweaty. It’s too hot to wear any of his favorite clothes. It’s too hot to breathe normally. It’s too hot to move any faster than a slug. He’s always sweaty and sticky and stinky. He has ten fans in his cabin and they barely keep him alive. He is depressed pretty much all the time. There is nothing good about summer. At least not that Nico can see. The nights wouldn’t be too bad if it wasn’t for the bugs and still being humid and hot. But the nights he can barely sleep. It’s too hot. Feels too much like Tartarus. Too hot to sleep with a blanket on him. He feels like he is exposed to the elements of Tartarus. There’s so many sounds of life around the camp he’s worried some might be monsters.

Nicos ptsd and allergies and heat intolerance just won’t allow him to see anything good about spring or summer.

Fall is the best. Fall is everything good and nothing bad. Fall is healing. Fall is Halloween. Fall is a time where nothing bad happens to him. He feels safe. He loves playing in dead colorful leaves.

Winter is a bittersweet rollercoaster.

Idk if this is unpopular opinion or not but while Percy is like “fuck this demigod stuff I am retired” I think Nico would be working in the underworld in the future like I just have this vision of him in a mix of modern and ancient greek clothing doing missions for Hades collecting some troublesome souls idk helping with the judgement talking shit with the dead making the playlist for their elevators vibing to tragedy by bee gees he kinda enjoys the demigod stuff even if its hella dangerous or whatever

The sound of a body throwing itself onto one of the infirmary cots echoed through the mostly empty room, followed closely behind with a dramatic, but melodic sigh. “Can I say something mean?” 

“Probably not in front of the baby.”

Will groaned, looking up from his pile of patient reports he had been sorting for the past… year. “I hardly think eleven still counts as being a baby.”

Lee, who had been refilling first aid kits for the past two hours, contemplated this for a moment. “Maybe, but that’s besides the point. I’m six years older than you. You’ll always be a baby.”

“I’m going to say something mean. Will, cover your ears.”

“I’m not covering my ears, Taylor. Unlike you, I’m working right now and I need my hands.”

“Oh,” Taylor dragged, a taunt evident in her voice, "someone's grumpy.”

“He’s mad I put him on infirmary duty during arts and crafts.”

“Will, you aren’t good at arts and crafts.” Lee slapped her arm. “And you like working in the infirmary, you are constantly taking my shifts. It’s why I love you.”

Lee slapped her arm again. “Taylor, what the heck.”

Taylor groaned, “Fuck. Just say fuck. I’m begging you.”

“That’s besides the point. I had it with Cecil. We were going to finish our board game.” Will turned to Lee, pointing an accusing finger at him, “You knew this.”

Lee let out a long-suffering sigh and Will almost felt bad for causing a fuss, but really, Lee brought this upon himself. “Taylor, stop pawning off your shifts to Will. Will, stop letting Taylor’s pawn off her shifts to you. Also: I’m sorry about arts and crafts. The last few days have been hectic and I needed your help. I’ll make sure to not schedule you over arts and crafts next week.”

“I’m going to be home next week! Mama is picking me up, remember?”

Lee had the decency to look ashamed when he said, “Heck. I forgot. I’m sorry, Will.”

Taylor got up from her self-designated cot and walked over to Will, ruffling his hair once she was close enough. “I’ll take over the rest of your shift, buddy. You go have fun.”

Will shook his head, “No, it’s okay. I’m already here. Arts and crafts is half-way done anyway. We wouldn’t be able to finish.”

“If you’re sure,” Taylor sighed as she pressed a kiss to his forehead and Will let out a cry of protest because he could feel the lipstick stain there. He tried rubbing it away with his fingers but by the look on Lee’s face and the snickers Taylor was making behind him, he only made it worse.

Lee graciously handed Will a wipe before glaring at their sister. “Taylor, what are you even doing here?”

“I think I made that pretty obvious when I threw myself onto a bed and stated I was gonna say something mean. I came to gossip.”

“You should be at archery right now.”

“Mike was being a piss-baby. He wouldn’t let Josh and I try to hit one another. What’s the point of being in advanced archery if you can’t shoot at your brother? Moving targets!”

“So you left?”

“Yep. I found Silena and she offered to do my nails before I came by.”

Lee pinched the bridge of his nose in a way that resembled an old man at the end of his rope. Will suppressed a giggle at his brother’s anguish as Lee said, “You can’t do that.”

“Do what? My nails?”

“Leave Michael like that.”

“Why? He’s not in charge of me.”

“But I am. And he’s my second in command, so yes he is.”

Taylor groaned, flopping back onto her cot. “One, he’s like three weeks older than me, unfair. And two, none of that is important right now. What is important is that our father was here and didn’t say hi to any of us. Who does that?”

“Our father, apparently.”

Taylor flipped Lee off, showing off her new manicure. It was baby pink, like her lipstick, with a little sun in the center. “He gives those kids a ride, none of them his, and has the audacity to leave before saying hi? Hell, Will over here has never met him. He has time to bring a group of kids to camp, but can’t spare a lousy minute to check in on us? And I can’t say this to Michael or he’ll claim I’m “on the other side”.” Taylor sighed, a faraway look in her eyes. Will had only seen this look on her face a few times before: every time Luke was mentioned. “I’m just tired of feeling abandoned and I’m sick of feeling like it’s bad to think that.”

Lee stepped towards her, a soft, “Tay–” passing through his lips, before she sat up and shook herself out of her stupor.

“Instead of saying hi, he just causes chaos and disappears! He brings Percy back, which is never a good sign. Thalia is driving the sun chariot, and crashes it! Oh, and he brought that new weird kid that keeps bombarding everyone with questions.”

Will saw through the change of topic, and Lee clearly had to as well, but he allowed it to happen. He slapped her on the arm for the third time, “He’s not weird. He’s, like, eight. The kid is just excited. You were excited about camp once upon a time.”

Taylor turned to Will, jerking her head at Lee, “I think he’s finally lost it. When have I ever been excited by anything ever?”

Will grinned, “Yesterday, you beat Madi at Josh’s song quiz and you danced around the cabin for ten minutes.”

Taylor gasped loud and dramatic, clutching at her chest as she fell back onto her cot, chestnut hair falling all over her face in her fall. “William! How dare you accuse me of such things!”

I feel like we dont talk about one of the main reasons nico was ostracized at camp, not just because hes a son of hades.

Camp half blood is small enough so that rumors and information spread fast, but that doesn't mean they are always right. So imagine you're a random camper, and you're told nico, one of the new campers, gets in a big fight with Percy. During which he makes skeletons appear and somehow opens a huge crack in the floor. But percy wins and nico leaves camp.

Don't you think it would've rang a bell?

Don't you think it would've reminded them too much of two summers ago, with luke?

Dont you think everyone would've been even more scared, because now they know nico is a child of hades, one of the big three, and therefore very powerful?

There must have been so many rumors that summer of nico being part of the kronos army. Betraying camp just like luke did.

Of course after the battle of manhattan many people would've changed their minds. Hes in their side now, after all. But there are probably still many campers who think nico left them to join luke, before he changed their mind and helped them win against luke and kronos. People who still hold a grudge against him for joining the "enemy".

I like to think that the Cocoa Puffs become the local cryptids in camp. Everyones making ghost-busting gangs trying to figure out the little guys for the first few months but then after that its just their friendly neighborhood ball of trauma. They scatter like dandelions across the camp grounds and it becomes commonplace to find one chilling under a bed or hiding in a boat or stuck in a tree. Sometimes they’ll steal food just for fun. They’re untameable.

There are exactly 2 ways to make a Puff go somewhere and thats by either a) having a really bad time with an emotion such as grief, anger, loneliness, etc and becoming enough of a catnip to the Puff embodying that emotion that they’ll follow you around like a storm cloud, OR, the more popular option, b) getting Will Solace himself to wolf whistle, which immediately prompts every single Puff in existence to scramble out of the woodwork like cockroaches and zoom towards him at top speeds. Nico doesn’t know if he should find it cute or be offended.

Notes: q!missa and q!spreen are canonically brothers (younger and older). They were living together with q!roier, he and missa wanted to open a taqueria

Basically, on the very fists days of the qsmp, spreen killed missa's cat, roier and roier's dog, because devil rubius dared him to. When roier told missa about it, he said that spreen could never do that and that it was roier's fault their home was falling apart. They had a fight, which ended with missa leaving him alone.

It happened before the egg adoption arc and never got a conclusion :(

I feel like not a lot of people outside de Hispanic community know about the lore between roier, rubius, spreen, quackity and missa (la traición del taco/the taco's betrayal (??)) That's why I felt the urge to explain it

Headcanon Will isn't as bad with a sword as people think

(This is a slight parallel to this post.)

Everyone knows Will is shit at archery, and people think that lack of skill applies to all weapons because he's the healer, right?

Wrong. Will is actually very dexterous, not to mention he grew up watching Star Wars over and over so obviously he learned all the Jedi lightsaber forms cause he's a nerd.

So yeah, he can do all the cool little spins and twists, but no one knows that because he only reveals his true inner Star Wars fanatic around the people closest to him.

One of those people is Nico (obviously) and Nico likes to drag him out of the infirmary to spar every once in a while because Will would kind of make the lightsaber sound effects whenever he swung his sword and Nico thinks it's absolutely adorable.

(It throws Nico off guard sometimes too as he can't really focus on the spar because he's too busy admiring how cute Will is.)

But all jokes aside, if there's a monster/enemy fight and Nico or his friends/family somehow get hurt, you best believe Will would pick up a fallen sword and go all Anakin Skywalker on them to protect his loved ones.
