So im gonna start going by Riley

Been thinking it over for a couple weeks and it feels right. Like I've never been a fan of my legal name. Its never felt like me. Also my synesthesia gives some words a texture and for some reason Olivia has an AWFUL texture. And its almost physically painful to say it out loud and it always has been. Hearing other people say it isn't as bad but it still makes my ears tingle a bit so its not pleasant. Olive doesn't have the same feel so I was alright using that for a while but its still never felt like me.

And I tried to think of a new name for myself as a kid but I still thought I was supposed to be a girl back then so I was trying to come up with girls names and none of those ever felt right either.

But Riley's more gender neutral. And ive always liked the name Riley. Ive never wanted kids but I always thought that if I had a kid I'd name them Riley. And then I was trying to think of a new name for myself again and I was like "....I have absolutely no interest in having kids. Why don't I just...name myself Riley."

Like why save it for a kid thats not likely to ever exist, right?

#rileys also nice to say #very smooth texture #any word that starts with the sound ri feels smooth #and words ending in ly also feel smooth #so riley feels extra smooth #also nicer to write in cursive #i hate writing olivia in cursive so much #the transition from v to i looks bad #almost went by sophie for awhile in highschool cuz i had two separate teachers call me sophie on accident #and my mom almost named me sophie #sophie is VERY nice to write in cursive #very loopy word #feels soft #still not me tho #idk how to describe the texture that olivia has but saying it makes me feel like my brains being stabbed #its something about the sound of iv followed by ia #i almost went with james but then i said it with my last name and uhhhhhh #lets just say a certain author thats written so many books its become a bit of a meme also has that name and it didnt feel right enough #to risk people thinking i named myself after him

#artists on tumblr #art #illustration #my art #digital art #digital drawing #my ocs #noah #oc art #You know that feeling when you're touch starved as all hell so when someone does touch you the feeling sticks around for hours after?#yeah that #with a side of Noah running away from what he REALLY wants but can't allow himself to keep #meaning he's then repeatedly shocked to realise he does in fact end up missing Martin every time he runs off #i'm still having a lot of fun experimenting with some new stuff #really happy with how this one came out though #i think i finally nailed that balance between texture and smoothness i've been trying to achieve for a while now #at the core of these experimets is the hunt for the style i have in mind for a future comic project #and i think this is very close to what i'm after #I want to use pop-art elements like these more as well #those bold colourful outlines and haphazard shapes slapped on top of things #messing with gouache on the side is genuinely helping me think differently when i paint digitally which is very neat #loving the process so far and excited to see what new skills i can learn from this

#scraggy #they're like. shiny. made of rubber. with that shine on their face #i've noticed most pokémon models even in the game tend to look very Shiny even if they're canonically Fuzzy. i think this was better #in gen 9 because the models got a big upgrade and now fuzzy pokémon actually Look fuzzy but they still have a bit of shine to them #if i remember correctly. they're all just expertly groomed with a shining coat of fur #and this guy? made of rubber. no scales. very smooth and shiny face. and their teeth are the Exact same texture as their face

Shaving makes me hate my body so much less. However it is very time and energy consuming, I have a large body and razors are quite small :(

CSP is actually so smooth and the fill tool, guys, the fill tool, you were really just letting me continue to go over every single edge in firealpaca every single time, you were really just letting me do that
