What was Victor’s tragedy? In what way was Undead born?

Usually a Negator ability is given in a crucial life moment and it destroys something the users had dear to them (family, hobbies, social life…)

So how does being unable to die become the cause of a tragedy?

My guess? I feel like it might’ve happened the moment the rule of Death was added the first time, before loops begun. Like he was hanging out with people he cared about (close friends, maybe even just his pet, not a family member since family is not a thing yet) and just as an incident was about to occur 1) the rule of Death was added and 2) Victor became Undead happened simultaneously, leaving him the sole survivor of the tragedy, wishing he wasn’t as he watches the lifeless bodies of those he loved

+Extra fucked up element: let’s immagine that adding a Rule and its Negation to the world at the same time makes it so the Negator doesn’t become subconsciously aware of that Rule, shall we? Ok now, immagine being Victor, who up until now has lived in a world where people not dying is the norm (dunno how anything would work in a world like that tbh) and suddenly not only you get a literal crash test on the subject of death, but you also now live in a world where that’s a normal thing? Like, you can sneeze in a weird way and suddenly you’re not breathing anymore? You can just slip on something and you’re no longer part of this world? Wtf? So now you’re both one of the last people on earth that remembers a time where death didn’t exist but also you’re the only person who won’t get to experience the same thing that took everything you held dear, leaving you in a place where you will never feel like you truly belong.
