a 1 v 4 asymmetirical video game where one person is playing dungeon keeper and they queue into an online game where the other 4 players who are adventurers have to try n defeat the dungeon, the dungeon keeper gets gold based on how much damage/kills they do to the party and resources the party have to use and the adventurers get loot for the amount of the dungeon they clear

but after the dungeon keeper has to spend gold on repairs and recruiting more units and building out the dungeon and the adventurers have to pay for revives and consumables, equip gear they received or get stuff forged

the value of the dungeon or party acts as a ladder for the matchmaking and the game gets fairly regular wipes

Biggest pet peeve?

The assertion that adults aren't allowed to like things that are bright, colourful, cute, silly or light-hearted.

At high school, I remember bringing Mario into a gaming discussion, and a guy was like "Well we're talking about REAL games." Apparently, a game is only good if it contains a lot of violence, and the player character has a gun.

The Animation Age Ghetto also ties into this pet peeve, especially since I tend to prefer animated films/shows to live-action ones. I guess if a cartoon's not a mean-spirited shock comedy like Family Guy, than it must be only for children.

Seriously, those who call people immature for liking colourful, fun or wholesome things are immature themselves.
