Fruits... Pens... Cute things? You weren't exactly the best at gift-giving... You weren't exactly used to having friends who liked you either. Usually it was just a beneficial relationship. Something to give someone status and nothing more. Gifts were... not a thing that occurred. Not for anything, but now... Now you were fairly fond of someone. Someone who was kind and soft and just... opposite of everything you were accustomed to.

So you decided to give her a gift! But... the process has been far more tedious than it ever needed to be...

But now you have a general idea, so you're about browsing stores and looking for something to effectively touch all target points of the things she enjoys. Just... need to figure out how.

You meanwhile are completing your own task of browsing stores searching for items you need, or mare items that you think you will need? Items that hoof a high probably of being needed by you in the upcoming few weeks and thus a very low possibility of going to waste. Yes.

You are neigh quite willing to admit, even to yourself that you are busying yourself in the effort to avoid returning to your stable quite yet. Ordered to take a break from the precinct for a few hours yes, but neigh quite requiring to return home, which is definitely for the best, definitely for the best. Yes.

But you are distracted, quite willingly, by the presence of a... sea dweller? Odd but neigh need to be overly worried about it, neigh that that will deter you from being overly worried at the current point of time, he seems to be... a bit lost? He hay be the new one that hoof been in the chats...

Will you approach? A marement's deliberation. Yes, yes you will approach, offer assistance even if you are waved away.

"Are you, looking for anything in particular?" There you are, a simple query.

Maybe you should even get a gift for the others? Something general... A cake? No, you don't want it that clear that you're apologizing for your earlier behavior... Still, in your defense it was difficult to really ascertain what the fuck was going on--

You stop mid thought as someone speaks to you, blinking and looking up. Another troll? And an indigoblood at that. Interesting. How come these highbloods weren't in the Crew? All he had were some yellows, some obnoxious purples (one of which he still hasn't met), and his ancestor.

"Oh, yes. Somethin... kind of specific?" You frown a bit, trying to come up with an explanation. "I need somethin to do with fruits and pens, and it has to be cute." Cod, it sounded weird saying that. "It's... for a friend," you add quickly, just to be sure he didn't get any wrong ideas.

"You hay hoof better luck turning your search towards a mare stationary-geared section then," just haybe, a suggestion that can be taken or ignored. "I am sure they hoof some fruit decorated items that they will enjoy," mostly because you were there a few hays previous looking for a proper set for the Chief, but also because stationary in general is just very good, sharpening pencils is a very good process. Yes insteed.

You just... kind of stare at him for a moment. You're a fish pun man. You can easily translate the fish puns, but what the fuck just came out of this guy's mouth? Horse puns? Oh cod... What did he say? What is he saying!?

"Wwould... you... take me to wwherevver I can find this." That was all you could muster, eyes squinting at the man.

And you would hay that there is neigh need for him to be staring at you, neigh at all, a very rude sea dweller insteed. But you can be the better troll in this situation.

Then again, you had never spent much time around the indigo population. You... couldn't call it weird. Not fairly.

Well that was an odd reaction, reminds you very much of when the Inspector slipped into puns without maneing to. It would probably do you neigh good to bring attention to it though, and you would very much like to avoid  hoofing a seadweller annoyed at you, that is far mare stress than you could ever need in your life.

You do neigh quite appreciate hoofing him at your back, it is a very unsafe position for you to be in even with the assurance that this is Derse and neigh Alternia and therefore there was neigh the lingering threat of 'this individual will always wish me harm unless we hoof arranged allegiances'. You could endure though, it would only be a few marements until you and ...

You're curious... and also somewhat hoping you reach your destination soon. You feel so awkward talking to another troll that isn't a seadweller. It's... difficult. Not much to relate to, and if he's from Alternia then you can't help but wonder if he has some... bad memories of the violets there.

Of course he works with horses. What did you expect? But engines too? That seemed like a bit of a leap to a different hobby, but before you can comment you’re at your desired destination. “Oh, um... Thank you, Zahhak.” You could play the last name game too. “And I hope you enjoy your day.”

Ugh. You sounded almost robotic. You didn’t do nice farewells. Usually it was more along the lines of sleep wwell dowwn there as you dropped their body into the ocean for the fish to eat.
