Valerio Minato's photo that won the Astronomy Picture of the Day Contest by NASA on December 25th, 2023.
In the picture: the moon, the Monviso Mount and the Basilica of Superga (on the Superga hill) outside Turin are all aligned. it took him 6 years to take this shot (and I take it as an example to never give up on your dreams).

culture clash punched me in the face when i read that you don't have a passport. like WHA
like why would I have a passport when plane tickets from the states into Any Other Country cost upwards of 1k, i don't go on "holiday", bc i don't have that kind of time, and my family doesn't even have the money to replace the 2003 PT Cruiser we've been driving into the ground

The Stabian Baths in the ancient city of Pompeii
The thermae were constructed around 125 BC. Hundred years later, the baths were connected to Pompeii's aquaduct. They were damaged in the earthquake of 62 AD.

i am sick and probably a bit delirious but i want you all to know how much i think about how germany teleports all the fucking time for italy’s sake but when cuba* talks about nation teleportation germany is literally like wtf are you talking about that isn’t a thing. are you to tell me that he’s so distracted by the thought of “i have to assist or save italy this very second” that he doesn’t see himself literally transcending time and space to do it? i don’t recall him doing it for anyone else but he’s done it for italy quite a few times. will come back with photo evidence once i am not experiencing delirium
*pretty sure it was cuba and this happened during a holiday special. i WILL find it
