Light's recommended emulators: macOS standalone
Well, I've had a Mac since around November 2023 and it's high time I wrote this.

Preamble
Full disclaimer: I am writing this running a M2 MacBook Air on macOS Sonoma 14.2.1. Your mileage may vary on other CPUs or older versions of macOS. Some of these will, if you're using Apple silicon, require Rosetta 2 if not already active.
I'll be using a significant amount of color coding throughout this little primer. Blue: Notable information Green: This is a good thing Orange: Go with caution Red: Warning!
You should generally always check if the emulator you are using supports Metal as a graphics backend. macOS doesn't support Vulkan, but some may try to use the MoltenVK translation layer, which doesn't always have Metal equivalents. Additionally, OpenGL on macOS is forever stuck at the outdated version 4.1, and may someday be removed entirely. For this list of recommendations, I will denote which ones support Metal and which use MoltenVK or OpenGL.
As before, if you need BIOS files (or just want a more comprehensive information source than a Random Guy™ on Tumblr), EmuGen is the place to go.
Most systems
OpenEmu is an excellent Mac-exclusive multi-core emulator (much like RetroArch), whose cores use code based on other open-source emulators. It can emulate everything up to the fifth generation of consoles (PlayStation, N64, Saturn), but standalones will be required for anything past that. I strongly recommend OpenEmu based on personal experience, especially if you're not a fan of RetroArch's clunky UI. * OpenEmu's graphics backend is unknown at this time.
ares is another multi-core emulator that might do you just fine. Its cores are quite good, particularly its SNES core as that was derived from bsnes (when Near was still running the ares project). Others aren't quite as good or are outshined by standalone emulators. * ares uses OpenGL on Mac.
Remember that you'll need BIOS files for the FDS, Sega CD, and Sega 32X.
Standalone emulators
Nintendo
NES: SwiftNES is a cycle accurate NES emulator built in SwiftUI. The advantage of this is that it will run natively on Apple silicon. It is a bit resource hungry (dev admitted they made some design decisions ever), but it will emulate nearly everything about the NES--although it is not at the full NES library yet in terms of compatibility. I'd just use ares or OpenEmu for the time being. * SwiftNES uses Metal.
SNES: bsnes is available on Mac. If you're using Apple silicon or the last Intel Macs made, it'll run well. Recommend the nightly builds. * bsnes uses OpenGL on Mac.
Nintendo 64: Mupen64Plus is available for Mac. As with its Windows version, it's command-line based, and any plugins written for Zilmar's spec won't work with it. Recommend using a frontend. * Mupen64Plus uses OpenGL on Mac.
GameCube & Wii: Dolphin again remains your best option here, but it's as legendary on Mac as it is literally anywhere else. It includes a stripped-down version of mGBA to emulate GameCube/GBA connectivity for those games that support it, and can connect to a real Wiimote + accessories via Bluetooth. GameCube specifically has a version of this core in OpenEmu, but I recommend you use the standalone version of Dolphin since that is more frequently updated, as I am currently aware. * Dolphin supports Metal as a backend.
Wii U: Cemu has a macOS version in its experimental releases. I haven't messed with it much, so not currently sure how well it runs on Apple silicon (will test further later). * Cemu uses MoltenVK on Mac.
Nintendo Switch: Ryujinx has a Mac version. As the Switch is not perfectly emulated yet, don't expect things to run 100% perfectly--glitches will happen. Many commercial games are fully playable though. You will have to supply any needed keys or system files yourself. * Ryujinx uses MoltenVK on Mac.
Game Boy line: Use mGBA, VBA-M, or SkyEmu. SkyEmu and mGBA can emulate real-time clock features (gen 3 Pokemon games) and Boktai's solar sensor, but not the e-Reader. VBA-M can emulate the e-Reader alone but cannot link it to other GBA games. They'll all emulate the DMG and GBC. * mGBA and VBA-M use OpenGL on Mac. * SkyEmu's status is unknown at this time.
Nintendo DS: Use either melonDS or DeSmuME. BIOS files aren't required, but are heavily recommended. melonDS can emulate DSi features DeSmuME refuses to. Creative differences, you know. * melonDS and DeSmuME use OpenGL on Mac.
Nintendo 3DS: Citra, along with yuzu, had its development permanently halted following yuzu’s settlement with Nintendo. However, its source code has been archived and it is still quite functional in its current state. Other devs have since picked it up again—a notable fork being Lime3DS, which also has a Mac version. * Citra uses MoltenVK on Mac.
Sony
PlayStation: DuckStation is your best bet here. If you have ever used Dolphin before, this will feel very familiar. You shouldn't need to muck about with settings too much except in very specific cases. You'll need BIOS files. * DuckStation supports Metal as a backend.
PlayStation 2: PCSX2 is available for macOS. You'll need BIOS files, but it works about as well as it does on Windows. Recommend you use the nightly builds. * PCSX2 supports Metal as a backend.
PlayStation 3: RPCS3 has a Mac version too. You'll need official firmware libraries to run it. Since PS3 emulation is quite resource hungry, I'd recommend you run it on at least a fairly recent, decently spec'd Mac, like a MBP or a Mac mini/Studio. MBAs are fanless and might heat up a bit. * RPCS3 uses MoltenVK on Mac.
PlayStation Portable: PPSSPP is your only real option, but it's a good'un. Make sure you get the system fonts installed, or else text is gonna look weird (MHFU, anyone?) * PPSSPP can use either OpenGL or MoltenVK on Mac.
PlayStation Vita: Vita3K, your only option, has a Mac version. Note that this platform isn't perfectly emulated yet, your mileage may vary. * Vita3K uses MoltenVK on Mac.
SEGA
All systems prior to Saturn: Your only decent options for most Sega systems are either ares or OpenEmu. BIOS files are required for 32X and Sega CD emulation.
Sega Saturn: Mednafen, in my opinion, is the king of Saturn emulation. You may also see it referred to as Beetle. As with its Windows incarnation, it is command-line based, and it is very picky about what BIOS files to use. Get them from EmuGen and they will be properly named. Bear in mind that there aren't any Mednafen frontends available for macOS. Use OpenEmu or RetroArch with Mednafen as a core if that's an issue for you. Mednafen will require a CUE sheet to know where the music data for a game is. * Mednafen uses OpenGL on Mac.
Sega Dreamcast: Flycast is your only option here, but it seems to be alright. BIOS files aren't required for Dreamcast alone, but are recommended. They are required for NAOMI/AtomisWave emulation--use the MAME ROMs for those. * Flycast uses either OpenGL or MoltenVK on Mac.
Microsoft
Xbox: You can give xemu a shot. Some setup required. * xemu uses OpenGL on Mac.
Xbox 360: There's no emulators for this running natively on macOS. You'll have to use Xenia on a Windows machine.
Other systems
ares can emulate the Neo Geo AES/CD.
ares, OpenEmu, and Mednafen can emulate the Neo Geo Pocket.
ares, OpenEmu, and Mednafen can emulate the WonderSwan/Color.
ares, OpenEmu, and Clock Signal can emulate various first and second generation consoles.
Same CDi and MAME can bomb Dodongos emulate the Philips CD-i.
Phoenix and MAME can emulate the 3DO. 4DO is only available outside of Windows as a libretro core.
MAME can emulate most arcade hardware. Believed to use OpenGL.
Old/obscure PCs
Clock Signal can emulate various old OSes, such as those of the Apple I/II/III and the MSX/MSX2, among others, and can emulate floppy drives as required. You will have to supply disk images yourself, however. Uses Metal.
TRS80GP can emulate the Tandy TRS-80. Graphics backend unknown.
VirtualC64 can emulate the Commodore 64. Uses Metal.
UTM is a virtual machine app based on QEMU, made specifically for Mac. Useful for running obscure games and software since it can also run classic Mac OS. It's free if you get it from their site (Mac App Store version is paid). Their website has a few images ready to go (such as Windows 11 ARM, a couple distros of Linux, and classic Mac OS 9. Others will need to be user-supplied and properly configured. Uses Metal.
86Box emulates old x86 CPUs primarily to run MS-DOS. There is also the Staging or X forks of DOSBox. Uses OpenGL.
Running PC games on Apple silicon
Most games are developed with x86-64 architecture in mind or simply never get native macOS versions. Additionally, Apple completely dropped all support for 32-bit apps as of macOS Catalina.
And while this isn't usually an issue (most Mac users, myself included, don't really buy a Mac for gaming), if you want to run a Windows-only game on your M series Mac, use Whisky.
No, I'm not telling you to take shots (unless you want to)--Whisky is a modernized wrapper for Wine built in SwiftUI that makes it easy to create and manage bottles, install and run PC games with almost no issue, all with no technical knowledge required.
The GitHub page also lists any edge cases that may impact certain games. As it states, Whisky is designed purely for Apple silicon running at least macOS Sonoma. If you are running an Intel Mac, just install Windows via Boot Camp.
Platforms not currently emulated
THERE ARE NO EMULATORS FOR THE FOLLOWING PLATFORMS THAT WILL RUN COMMERCIAL GAMES/SOFTWARE. ANY YOUTUBERS CLAIMING OTHERWISE ARE SCAMS!
iOS/iPadOS (Some iPad apps can be run in macOS if you are running Apple silicon, at least macOS Big Sur, and their devs have allowed for it in the App Store)
PlayStation 4 (some are in development but can't run games in a playable state yet)

title drop! but huh guess he changed his mind or something because that was a minor plot point in Godblight like the whole reason he had the library shut up because of the records anyways done ynnari book next time i don't think it was a bad book but it wasn't a great one either? it was enjoyable! also it was nice to dig into guilliman i really feel like Guilliman would have been 100% on board with Lorgar's worship dad thing if lorgar hadn't used the word "god" lorgar: our father is worthy of veneration, powerful and wise beyond anything human guilliman: absolutely, 100% (Sanguinius and Vulkan, also from what I've seen of their POV) i think it's a bit disappointing that we didn't get more of polux and dantioch in the book about trust and secrets and that the climax was the curze/vulkan fight which was man neither character showed up IN The book until past the halfway point i think?

How did you manage to get Morgan, Naviidi, and Eliose into your game all at the same time?
I did it on the windows/steam version of the game, I'm not sure how you'd do it on a different version because I utilized the direct connection multiplayer function to do it. Check under the read more for the instructions:
If you're running the game vanilla/not through bg3 mod manager, on steam go to library>Baldur's Gate 3>gear icon>manage local files and it should open the Baldurs Gate 3 folder in file explorer, then shut down steam entirely (right click on the little steam icon in the bottom right of the task bar and click "exit steam"). This is important because you're gonna open multiple instances of the game, and steam won't let you if you have it open. Then when steam is shut down, in the Baldurs Gate 3 folder go to "bin", then run either bg3 or bg3_dx11 (both are applications/.exes with the game's icon, the difference is that bg3 is the vulkan version and bg3_dx11 is the directX 11 version. I play directX 11, but I believe either version should work). This first instance you open should have all your previous save files and custom settings, but not your steam profile and should be in offline mode. Then it's just a matter of launching the game through the .exe as many times as characters you want.
If you're playing with bg3mm, then it's a bit simpler. Make sure steam is shut down the same way, then open the mod manager and navigate to settings>open preferences, and untick the "open through steam" box, which will make the mod manager to run the game through the .exe, then launch the game through bg3mm. It should run the same way as vanilla, the first instance loading your saves, etc, without your steam profile. Make sure you launch every instance from the mod manager if you go this route, so every instance will have the same mods in it to avoid getting errors from incompatible mods.
If you don't have a nasa-level supercomputer I'd recommend turning down the graphics settings to improve the performance while you have multiple windows open.
Then in the first instance, or the "host", of the game (the one with all your saves), start a new game, then in the character creator open the pause menu and open multiplayer>multiplayer settings and tick the "direct connections" box, which should generate a code that you can copy with the button next to it. Then in the second/third/fourth instances, click multiplayer from the main menu, and tick the "direct connections" box here, which will open up a spot and a button to paste the code you copied from the first instance. Under the code, hit connect and it should load you into a lobby with the host and prompt you to make a character. After all your characters/dream guardians are made and you're past the character creator, save and quit on the host's game, then close all the game windows. Then you should be free to run the game through steam and use all of steam's features, the screenshot button, achievements, etc. The avatars of player 2/3/4 should all be part of the same party as the companions and host and work the same as them.
If you want to play Dark Urge or an origin character, they have to be made before you start the game proper (ie, before loading into the nautiloid), but a Tav can be made at any point in the game. I made Morgan/Dark Urge the "host" of the game because the game defaults a lot of the cutscenes to the host unless they're too far away, and I prioritzed having the Durge versions of cutscenes (like with Isobel, Ketheric, Gortash, etc) over the Tav versions. For instance, in Grymforge I had to move Morgan all the way to the boat dock to get the game to give Naviidi the cutscene with the Lolth-sworn dialogue for Nere, and certain companions would default their camp cutscenes to Morgan before the romance flags were set. The host also cannot be sent to Wither's wardrobe if you need an avatar to leave the party for whatever reason (which is a big reason I'd suggest using the party limit begone mod for this, as having multiple avatars at once takes away party spots from companions and you'll miss more of their personal storylines/dialogue).
If you need to send the "host" avatar to Wither's wardrobe for whatever reason, or want one of your other characters to get a certain camp cutscene, you'll have to open a multiplayer session again to change who the "host's" avatar is. For example, I planned Eliose to romance Wyll, but when I got to act 2 the game kept defaulting his dance/romance cutscene to Morgan, and would only give the cutscene to Eliose after I made them the host. To do that I made a save right before when I knew the cutscene would trigger, then did the same thing I did above to open a direct connection multiplayer session, but instead of starting a new game I opened the existing save, and instead of making a new character I moved Morgan and Naviidi to player 2's party in the multiplayer menu in the pause screen, leaving Eliose at the top of the host's/player 1's party, then with the multiplayer session still open I triggered Wyll's cutscene, played through the cutscene to set Eliose and Wyll's relationship flag to romanced (or however the game works bts). Then after the cutscene I switched Morgan back to the top of player 1's party to set him as the "host" again and switched Eliose and Naviidi to player 2's party, saved and quit, and reloaded the game through steam. I'll admit, Wyll is really the only romanced companion I had this problem with, with companions like Halsin and Astarion it was as easy as having Naviidi loot the boar and question Astarion about the bitemarks, and only ever having Naviidi talk to/build high approval with Halsin to get both their camp/romance cutscenes to trigger exclusively for Naviidi. I also strongly advise against playing like this in honour mode for this exact reason, as you won't be able to reload if the game triggers something for the wrong character. I tried playing with those three together in honour mode and found it too frustrating as I'm very picky about them getting the "correct" cutscenes.

been learning odin (the programming language) recently, here's my take on it. keep in mind i've been using this language for just over a week so this is just a surface-level look at it
THE GOOD
it's dead simple without a lot of funny little quirks like rust's borrow-checker or even some sort of object system. it truly is just variables and functions (which it calls procedures).
it feels like C if it had some more modern features like native strings and dynamic arrays (and a build system that isn't more fractured than a streamer's keyboard after losing a CoD match). (take this with a grain of salt. i made like 2 things in C/C++ and have barely any experience with either language)
as mentioned before the build system is super simple. you just run the compiler on whatever folder holds your source code, and it spits out a binary. nothing else needs to happen. it also doesn't generate gigabytes of build files, just the single binary.
the language also comes with a ton of built-in bindings for libraries like OpenGL, Vulkan, Metal, and raylib, making it super simple to just start working with one of these immediately.
THE NOT EXACTLY BAD BUT IT MIGHT MAKE YOU NOT WANT TO LEARN THE LANGUAGE
the syntax tends to be pretty weird. odin just runs with it's own ideas on how code should be structured and written. constants, custom types, and procedures are all declared like name :: struct/[value]/proc(). for loops end up being the only loop, as they have functionality to replace while loops.
the language is rather new (created in 2016) and isn't very popular so there can be difficulty with finding resources on it.
the language also as of right now is still in development so there are some pretty big bugs in the compiler. one of the ones i've run into was the compiler giving me the wrong line number when reporting an error. it's rough, but hopefully it can improve with time.

More graphics milestones
Followers may recall that last week I implemented line meshes and other primitive topologies in my open-source Vulkan project.
The next big milestone was making the depth test optional (e3384e4). When I began learning Vulkan, getting the depth test to work was a big milestone. But sometimes it gets in the way of seeing things, so it has to be optional.
The tricky thing is, in a scene containing multiple geometry objects, the order in which those geometries are rendered doesn't matter ... as long as they all use the depth test. The moment you add one that omits the test, suddenly render order matters. My solution (borrowed from LbjExamples) is to add meshes that omit the test to a separate queue, so I can manage the order in which they're rendered.
Another milestone was tracking which meshes are mutable (f62918). It's handy to be able to edit meshes after they're created (for instance to add attributes or remove duplicate vertices) but once a mesh has been passed to the GPU for rendering, modification could potentially create problems, so I mark them as immutable.
I spent a lot of time dealing with different kinds of 3-D vectors in my code. The project does a lot of 3-D math, so it uses a lot of 3-D vectors. Mostly it uses either JME vectors (com.jme3.math.Vector3f) or JOML vectors (org.joml.Vector3f). Each class has pros and cons. The project has to deal with JME vectors because that's what the physics library uses. However, I think the graphics code will be clearer if all its internals use JOML classes. That means having extra interface methods to deal with different kinds of vectors. The sad thing is, I'm unsure how much of that interface will ever be used. We shall see...
Originally the project included only a single shader program, for (unshaded) baked-in lighting. By Saturday, the number of programs had grown to 6: two for debugging, two for Phong shading, and two for unshaded rendering. Each program requires a different set of inputs, and the code to keep track of which programs require which inputs was inelegant and didn't allow for custom shader programs. So on Saturday I implemented a more flexible system that reads the required inputs from a classpath resource. After that, it got easier to add programs. There are now 10.
Of all the new shader programs, perhaps the most interesting is the one for rendering sprites. Sprites are used to animate objects in 2-D games, but they have their uses in 3-D graphics as well, and I'll need them for my physics tutorials. Sprites use textures differently than mesh-based geometries do, so the sprite implementation included 5 new texture options (ab3921e) and 2 new geometry options (0fa68f1), which I committed earlier today.
I feel close to integrating the physics engine into the project. Off the top of my head, I can only think of one more feature I'll need---dynamic meshes---they're only needed for soft-body physics, which always seems to be an afterthought. I plan to do a dry run (of physics integration) to see whether anything else is missing on the graphics side.

"Steambook Pro"
I've been doing some thinking - I think Valve ought to get into the OS game.
Steam's not just the biggest digital distribution platform on the PC, it basically IS gaming market for the PC. But its biggest weakness is that it runs on Windows, and by extension is basically at the mercy of Microsoft.
Should Microsoft ever try to make the PC a closed platform, by locking out third-party app stores in favor of its own, then Valve basically dies overnight.
(Just for the sake of discussion let's ignore for a sec how viable that move would really be, legally or otherwise)
Without a platform to work on, where then does it go? The only other serious OS in town is Mac OS, which is effectively a closed platform and Apple's not likely to share.
That leaves Linux. Desktop distros have made strides over the last decades but it's still far from being a drop-in replacement for Windows, especially for gamers.

Software compatibility's probably the biggest issue. There have been attempts over the years to address this; Cedega, a proprietary fork of the Wine project, was one of the first of its kind I'd encountered. Wine itself is a "Windows Compatibility Layer" that allows you to run Windows software on Linux distros and the forks thereof extend that capability. Valve's already got it's fingers in this pie with the Proton project, and by all accounts its looking good. They've allegedly been hiring people specifically to work on it, which is SUPER COOL to me, because its about time desktop Linux got the love it deserves.

Then there's hardware compatibility. Every time I've tried to install Linux on a personal computer there's always one piece of vital hardware (mostly network cards) that doesn't work right. At work I had the pleasure of installing Ubuntu on an old Dell and the touchpad didn't work correctly. I had to dig through documentation to figure out how to get it to turn the touchpad off while I was typing so my palms didn't accidentally activate it. On another machine at home, an Asus Zenbook, the Wifi stopped working and Pop OS! didn't recognize the USB wifi adapter that I bought to replace it (the wifi "card" itself was a part of the motherboard).
And this leads us to Valve. They've already dipped their toes into the hardware space with the Steam Machines, the Valve Index VR Headset, the Steam Controller, and now the Steam Deck. They've also got Steam OS - a Debian-based Linux distro that's "optimized for a living room experience". On top of that they're actively developing Proton specifically to run Steam's library of games on Linux, and alongside it a whole slew of open-source libraries/drivers/projects like Mesa and the Vulkan API.
I think the next logical step for Valve is to get into the laptop/desktop business, ala Apple and the Macbook Pro. The MBP is a designer product that runs propietary, closed-source Apple software and fits into a proprietary, closed-source ecosystem. Imagine a "Steambook Pro" running a desktop-optimized version of Steam OS on Valve-approved hardware (so as to minimize compatibility issues), maybe even marketed as a Windows replacement.
Once it's widely available (see how well the Steam Deck is doing?), you've got a user base. And once you've got that all third-parties from developers to hardware manufacturers will have a reason to take Linux seriously - to port stuff over to Linux _natively_ rather than just aiming for compatibility. And Valve will have reached the "promised land", an ecosystem where they don't have to worry about Microsoft turning the desktop PC landscape into a walled garden.

The PC OS market's been in a stalemate for a while now - Microsoft Windows is top-dog and the only serious competitor is Apple's OSX and their numbers lag far, far behind Windows. To break a stalemate you need a wildcard, a third-party that can shake up the meta and I think that Valve is that wildcard.

New angle snapping options for initial Flick-Turns (None, 180, 90, 60, 45, Forward Deadzone Angle).
Tunable Forward Deadzone Angle.
Rapid consecutive Flick-Turns will be fully respected (the previous Flick-Turn was interrupted in the last version)
Flick-Turn Duration becomes a tunable smoothing factor (low pass filter), instead of a fixed duration. The time to complete a turn is relative to the size of the angle being turned.
Flick-Turn is smoothed based on how far the stick is thrown past the inner deadzone, for a less "surprising" Flick-Turn threshold.
Sensitivity Setting becomes "Pixels Per Revolution" (This setting was previously pixels per half revolution).
Sweep rotation sensitivity and smoothing can be tuned independent of Flick-Turn.

Sapiens city builder holds hope for Linux

Sapiens expansive building sim game is due to expand support to Linux with Windows PC. Thanks to some detailed feedback from developer Majic Jungle. Which will release on Steam Early Access soon. From Majic Jungle comes a city builder for the ages. Sapiens is an expansive building sim where players are the architects of a brand new prehistoric world. Beginning with a handful of tribe members, you’ll need to evolve your primitive hunters. Then grow their numbers and lead them in creating a thriving society that spans thousands of years. Due to make its debut during Steam’s Summer Next Fest. While players can carve out their new world from June 13th.
Linux Support
Sapiens uses a custom engine which I have developed myself alongside the game. The engine uses SDL and Vulkan, as well as many other cross platform libraries. I'm not promising a Linux port at this point, as a solo developer, my resources are limited. But if the game does well, I do plan to open it up to more platforms in the future.
In the email reply, developer Majic Jungle explains further. There is also no technical reason why the port would be difficult. The lack of Linux is due to being able to support another platform, which does take time. So when releasing on Early Access (due to remaining for a couple of years), as a solo developer, its not possible offer a native Linux build of Sapiens just yet. But the good news, Majic Jungle did explain that some testers have the game working well using Proton. Plus the developer is also working on a standalone server which has a Linux build. So, most of the code-base does already running on Linux. Even more so, multiplayer is coming some time after the early access release, with a focus on co-op play.

As the heart and soul of the game, your Sapiens are key to expansion. Whether you send them to explore far-off lands to discover fresh resources or task them to build transportation networks. Using the right management your tribe's size and influence can rapidly expand. It will be down to you to manage their mood, build them shelters, keep them happy, and preserve their resources. With every aspect of the game and its world are intractable. Even right down to placing every wall, seat or fireplace, you will need to figure out how your settlement is built and maintained. With a deep technology tree to unlock new abilities. This allows sapiens to build tools and improve living conditions. Players will also need to pay close attention to map regions. Some bring their own unique challenges, with weather effects and seasons. All playing a key part in maintaining your tribe, their settlement, and its prospect of survival. Alread due to add extensive mod support upon Early Access through Steam Workshop. Sapiens can be Wishlisted now on Steam. Prospective sapiens can also check out the developer’s vlogs for more background on the game. Early settlers can join the Discord and look out for more content when Sapiens hits the Steam Next Fest this month. The expansive building sim will arrive on Windows PC, then at some point, Linux.

Vulkan Run Time Libraries are APIs. Or, in full technical terms, “Application Programming interfaces.” Meaning it is a program that roots communication between two applications. It is very easy to download & install Vulkan Run Time Libraries manually on your Windows PC. Before you download it directly from the official digital distributor, please check if it is self-installed on your PC or not. Go to vulkan.lunarg. com/sdk/home. On this site, you can check packages for Windows, macOS, and Linux.  Click on the “Latest SDK” option available on the right side of the Windows icon.  Click on the “Allow” button to begin the downloading procedure.
