Adding w3schools (also free)
I tried so many gameified coding websites and never got anywhere, then a few days before my first programming course at college I found w3schools. It's really approachable, I learned both python and C++ from it, plus some JavaScript and HTML. They have so many things available. Definitely worth a shot if you are in any way curious about programming.
please learn how to code
like, if you're bored today, and not doing anything,
learn a little bit of coding please

i love how helpful old web people are like all the neocities folk are so generous with resources and want to help everyone learn html / css and so many people will just give you their codes / offer templates / encourage you to dissect their webpages' source codes. i find there's so much less possessiveness in these communities. like of course don't steal stuff if they haven't given permission to use something and you should make sure to give credit when you do use stuff, but it's just so nice seeing everyone be so generous and helpful
#i love looking thru ppl's codes and trying to figure out how everything works#gonna do some more lessons on w3schools today#and try to give my angelsdean site a proper layout building off of a template for now#vic.txt

worst thing about computer science classes is hearing teachers defending generative AI
#qrevo.txt#no i don't think a machine painting things based on prompts is good for society actually <3#or a machine generating websites and code#ALSO IT NEVER CODES ANYTHING RIGHT!!#the only code a generative ai can do is the most basic shit you can learn on w3schools in 5 minutes#besides. you are supposed to teach about technology and its ethics on society. THAT'S THE CLASS YOU'RE LECTURING#i can see people defending ai on technical grounds. BUT YOU ARE GIVING A CLASS ABOUT. ETHICS
