toh chhod kyun nahi dete? chhodna hal nahi hai. toh kya hai hal? saath reh kar apna yaar karna. doosre ko apni mohabbat mein giraftaar kar lena, taake woh khud ko aapke hawale kar de.
[Image ID: ten gifs of Wahaj Ali and Yumna Zaidi as Murtasim and Meerab from Tere Bin episode 20. The original Urdu dialogues are in white and yellow, and the subtitles are in blue and green respectively.:
GIF 1: Murtasim covering his injury with his good hand. Meerab reaches out to touch him, laying her hand over his.
GIF 2: Murtasim moving his good hand so he's almost grasping Meerab's.
GIF 3: Meerab looking up from the injury at Murtasim in surprise.
GIF 4: Meerab placing her hand tighter in Murtasim's as she asks him a question. He runs a thumb over her knuckles, dropping his gaze from hers to stare down at their hands together, then nodding slightly. The text reads, "Ek baat poochoon?" and the subtitle reads, "Can I ask you something?"
GIF 5: Meerab looking up at Murtasim as she asks, "Mujhe bachaya kyun tha?" The subtitle reads, "Why did you save me?"
GIF 6: A shot of just their hands. Murtasim is holding Meerab's hand in his injured one, the other running over her bangle, past her wrist before tucking under their joined hands to hold her one hand with both his tightly.
GIF 7: Murtasim watching Meerab with a pained crease between his brows as he says, "Tumhein na bachaata toh khud bhi zinda na reh pata." The subtitle reads, "If I hadn't saved you, I wouldn't have been able to live, either.
GIF 8: Murtasim's hand sliding up and into Meerab's hair, pushing it back from her face as he cradles it. Both of Meerab's hands are balanced around his sling.
GIF 9: A close-up of Meerab, Murtasim's thumb stroking down the side of her face as he cradles her head with one hand.
GIF 10: Murtasim watching Meerab with sincerity, pleading her to understand what he's saying.

Its really common when you read any romance novel or fanfic, to find a line that says,"His heart skipped a beat." But I have seen actors portraying the emotion only twice in the dramaland.
1)True Beauty: Seojun and Jukyung
Tumblr media
The bus stop scene in epi 9 where Seojun sees Jukyung dozing off at the bus stop, he laughs and sits beside her. Soon after, Jukyung's head falls on his shoulder. And with Hwang Inyeop's impeccable acting- the slight movement of his eyebrows and eyeball getting larger, that this was the moment Seojun's heart skipped a beat.
2) Tere Bin: Murtasim and Meerab
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, I didn't get the exact GIF for this scene
In episode 20 of this drama, while having a conversation about their situation, Murtasim suddenly felt a twitch in his injured arm and gasped slightly. Upon noticing, Meerab put her hand over his hand and asked if that hurt- initiating a physical contact voluntarily for the very first time. Surprised and astonished Murtasim looked at her in awe. Wahaj Ali's expression for the particular scene was stellar. With him lifting his eyes, gazing at her softly while taking a gulp down his throat it was so clear that his heart skipped a beat.

[Image ID: four gifs of Wahaj Ali as Murtasim and Yumna Zaidi as Meerab from Tere Bin episode 12. The text is both the original Urdu, and the English subtitle under it:
GIF 1: Meerab narrowing her eyes at Murtasim as she says, "Tumne jo mere saath kiya hai na, uske liye main tumhein chhodoongi nahi." The English subtitle reads, "For what you've done to me, I won't leave you."
GIF 2: Murtasim pleadingly pulling Meerab closer as he says, "Please mujhe mat chhodna." The English subtitle reads, "Please don't leave me."
GIF 3: Meerab reeling back, taken aback by his words. Her brow is still furrowed.
GIF 4: Murtasim watching her with pleading eyes.

What is Nooran smoking?
In E43 of Tere Bin, Meerab just blamed Murtasim for abandoning her despite loving her! I know there is no logic left in this show, but Nooran is plunging Meerab to new lows. From the start, Meerab has had zero remorse for her actions. Murtasim was right when he called her out in last week’s episode that she never accepts her faults and blames others. She is quick to judge him as a philanderer and doubt he is having an affair based on him not being home for one night, one night; but is upset when he judged her after seeing her at Rohail’s place. Hypocrisy much. She wants to be respected and revered but won’t offer the same to others. Her anger towards Murtasim is misplaced, she doesn’t feel any guilt of breaking his trust seconds later after he beared his soul to her.
She is not willing to accept her fault for not doing enough due diligence on the guy despite Murtasim’s warnings. She can believe the two day love of Anas, but is blind to the efforts her husband has put into their marriage and all the times he stood by her. She helped his sister elope, faked romance him while hiding that his sister’s lover was in their own house, the guy believed her till he saw an actual video of her helping Mariam elope, she never was honest with him about her actions, and yet he should have listened to her point of view.
The guy went against his own feudalistic mindset and Hitler of a mother to meet the sister’s boyfriend’s family to support Meerab. She refused to believe him when he said the mother was not of good character and the house was a brothrel. Meerab blinded by her false pride and I will fight for every woman’s right to choose her life partner, forgot to do basic risk assessment of the chosen life partner; such was her pride to rebel against forced marriages in the house. Forced marriages are wrong, but so is eloping - which sensible, educated woman supports this nonsense! We all know by now how Nooran’s twisted mind works - Murtasim is going to apologise to Meerab again , he has turned into one doormat who has lost the ability to use his brains. Nooran and Meerab are just peak examples of woke feminism. I haven’t seen a worse written female lead, oh wait there is the passive aggressive Maheer in Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha.
Why am I still watching Tere Bin 🤷🏻‍♀️, it gives such sadistic pleasure to trash a show! I haven’t hate watched a show in long time! But at the same time I can’t forget that this show introduced me to Wahaj Ali and Murtasim , so am watching it only for him!

There are Pakistani dramas like Kuch Unkahi and Yunhi, which have soft, humanly, positive male protagonists played by Bilal Abbas and Bilal Ashraf, Even the character of Wahaj Ali in Mujhe Pyar Hua Tha. Yet we have the audience of two nations going bonkers over a character that is romanticising marital rape.
It is so problematic that,
People are not even considering it Marital Rape because they are married so something as much as "Rape" cannot exist as consent goes down the shit hole if you're married.
The whole idea that we live in such a mind numbingly ignorant society that the director, producer, storywriter and even all the actors involved couldn't care less about the fact that something as problematic and severe as this should not be shown in a prime time drama serial.
THERE SEEMS TO BE NO SIGN OF A TRIGGER WARNING?????
or any message saying that they don't fucking support or condemn something as disgusting as marital rape
Shame on literally everyone involved and everyone justifying it.
If it was to be a serious story which would have a social message or it was supposed to send out a message that dont fucking rape your wives, it would have been acceptable. they are legit ROMANTICISING it in literally such a weird manner.
so many people, women, children suffer from domestic violence. and for these people, violence is only a mere act of gaining views, trp and having a climax in the show.

Only thing making me excited for Mein is the OST. Love it. Time will tell if it’s a typical love story or if wahaj and ayeza have good chemistry. Hard to tell from the teaser. Big bang is known for its wonderful OSTs, visually stunning teasers but then the drama is such a let down. Mujhe Pyaar Howa Tha being a prime example of that.
Not to mention Wahaj Ali’s character Zaid seems like it’s going to be Saad in a suit living in Murtasim’s haveli. I hope I’m wrong and that the show and chemistry of the leads is refreshing rather than repetitive story telling. Haven’t seen ayeza’s other work so this will be a first for me, and fresh outta tere bin and yumna’s spell binding chemistry with wahaj, Mein might be a hard sell, but I’m holding out hope still. This pairing can’t be worse than Yumna and Humayun in the Gentleman coming up soon too.
Tere bin has effectively ruined expectations in terms of chemistry when it comes to wahaj and Yumna for me lol. How will I unsee murtasim in that haveli living as zaid and in love with someone else besides meerab ? How ? 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

[Image ID: two gifs of Wahaj Ali as Murtasim Khan from episode 38 of Tere Bin. He is talking to Meerab in their bedroom:
GIF 1: Murtasim looking softly at Meerab, shaking his head as he reassures her by saying, "Koi nahi hai". The subtitle reads, "There's no one."
GIF 2: A continuation of the previous gif, Murtasim's brow is wrinkled gently as he emphasizes to his wife, "Bas tum ho." The subtitle reads, "There's just you."
