And this is my latest one. Wenches an mead ''meme'' originally from @captainhoers. First time really using audio in animation. The art is supposed to reference the game war selection. Learned a bunch of things about animation with this one.
Oh and yeah tell me if you've spotted everything that is animated :-)

yall are about to piss me off by not having any PASSING basic knowledge of the way the u.s. military manipulates its recruits into joining by typing up one of your uninformed, unresearched, unempathetic, individualistic, unbelievably annoying posts about how 100% of the people in the military ended up there because they just Love America So Damn Much! they're extremely mature and informed at time of recruitment, they can totally leave anytime they want, they totally had tons of other avenues in life they could've taken, there was no rush at all to get income as fast as possible, and everyone in the military also totally is part of the combat divisions and personally enjoys being IN the military very much, big believers of violence. everyone in the military is shooting guns all day, that's how that works. they LOVE BLOODSHED.
also I love the "amewicans haha" twang to this type of shit because you're actually TOTALLY stealing our Thing, which is turning systemic issues into Individual Issues. Instead of talking about the powers that be, it's so Personal Choice up in here. It's, "well you shouldn't have done it then. I totally wouldn't because I know better." you don't wanna talk about the military industrial complex as a whole, and you don't want to talk about recruiters, you just want to pin the blame on Specific Individual People one-by-one, as if they're responsible for the system that they're being ground up in. someone was in the military? bad person, no matter what. it's easier to believe that, I guess, than to acknowledge that Normal People (with high school educations) are manipulated and incentivized into joining a system that is Bad. at like age 18. but yeah no that 18 year old should have just been smarter lol haha
anyway here are some screenshots for no particular reason
side note this reply of someone going "umm just get loans and go into a high paying field it's easy XD" as a direct response to someone trying to explain how most americans joining the military are being funneled in that direction out of a need for money.
and another person who Decided that americans join the military just CLENCHING their teeth thinking of other people, and not thinking completely selfishly about their own selves and their own income/housing/healthcare.

giving the best dialogue to anakin and padmé divorcing once more lol <3
“If it were your best friend who choked on flowers he couldn’t give you, what would you do?”
Anakin blinks, more than a decade’s worth of Jedi training the only thing keeping him from reeling back. “What?”
Padmé’s eyes gleam back at him, hard as flint. “If Master Kenobi developed hanahaki for you, if you saw him in pain because of you, would you have done what I did for Sabé?”
Anakin shakes his head, suddenly lost and feeling rather like the trap has been sprung. “You didn’t do anything wrong to her,” he says helplessly. “You said you paid for her surgery–”
“There were two things I could have done,” Padmé replies. “But I was a good wife. I didn’t even think about the other option. I didn’t even try. Because of you.”
The other option. The only other cure for the flowering disease: for the love to be returned.
Anakin cuts his eyes away from the face of his wife. They jump from the fireplace to the open doors leading to a balcony, to a chair in the corner to the old-fashioned books tucked neatly away in their alcove. “Don’t ask me this,” he says, begs, because Padmé is his wife and once, he loved her ardently.
But she is also a politician, and she knows to never give in when she is so close to her victory. “Tell me what you would do,” she demands softly. “Tell me you would do the same. If it were Obi-Wan dying, tell me you would hold his hand as he underwent the surgery. Tell me that you would remember me.”
“He would never develop flowers for me,” Anakin snaps as if the words have been ripped from his throat, and his hands loosen behind his back, grab at the ends of his hair and then scrub roughly over his face.
Padmé’s lips curl and her eyes flash, a spark of embers beneath a blanket of ash. “Put aside your belief that your master is too much of a Jedi to fall in love, that is not what I want—”
Anakin shakes his head, once, sharply. He feels cornered. Like a wild animal, biting at anything that encroaches into his space. “You asked me to speak and now you will not listen,” he snarls, and he is being cruel. This is cruel.
But this is also the truth, and it is what she wanted.
“He would never develop flowers for me,” he says again. “Because you only develop flowers when the love is unrequited. And there has never been a moment in my life that I have not been in love with Obi-Wan Kenobi. Is that what you wanted to hear, Padmé?”

Hello! Can I know more about the "Old Friend" wip, please? 🥺
You may indeed friend. Buckle up for 100% post-war Old!Rex and Cody shenanigans, VERY WIP.
This one isn’t set in any AU in particular, it’s just wholesome happy-ending tooth-rotting popcorn fluff. The idea is that Rex and Cody meet up and throw mud at each other on a beach, away from everything and anything else, before rejoining The Group of Very Alive Vod’e somewhere where they rebuild, create, and live.

every time I try to make some sense of the franco-russian alliance of 1807-1812 I’m losing my mind because it goes like
historian 1: from the very beginning tsar Alexander decided to use his charm to fool Napoleon and merely pretended to be his ally to win some time, much needed to prepare a new Coalition. We can see his distrust clearly from his correspondence.
historian 2: from the very beginning Napoleon decided to use his charm to fool Alexander and manipulated his ambitions to win some time, much needed to secure a peace with England. We can see the tsar’s excitement clearly from his correspondence.
historian 3: Napoleon and Alexander never actually trusted one another and the whole alliance was a ruse based on mutual flattery and empty promises so that the two great powers could prepare for a new war. We can see this animosity clearly from their correspondence.
historian 4: Napoleon and Alexander were mutually charmed and developed a deep intimate friendship that was sullied by obligation and political intrigue. We can see their sincere attachment clearly from their corres-
