A Sherry Tenney and WAFA warning update

If you are unaware of who Sherry Tenney is, I have pinned a post here. But, in short, Sherry Tenney is a scam artist in the fiber arts community that takes money and almost never ships out product. What little she does ship out is covered in feces and infested with various forms of vermin, including moths and ants. Her, and several accomplices, also target and damage and destroy small fiber sellers online. She is also extremely aggressive and has threatened to both shoot and sue people, and brags about the guns she has. She is under investigation from the Pennsylvania Attorney General. She has stolen, to date, $15,000+ USD from customers. This is not counting the amount of money she has stolen from suppliers.

Lawsuit update: to the surprise of no one, no, I have still not been served any papers even though she has threatened to sue me personally. I guess that’s what happens when you ask a chicken to do everything for you. Shit just doesn’t get done.

Sherry Tenney, currently known as Sherry Tennay, has renamed her main FaceBook sellers group from ‘Tenneys Fibers and raw wool buyers group’ to ‘Wool and Fiber artists supplies buyers group and silks too’. She has done this in an attempt to draw in new victims that may mistake her group for the WAFA group on FaceBook. WAFA stands for ‘Wool and Fiber Artists’.

Unfortunately it’s a little more underhanded than that. One of the main parts of Sherry’s scheme over the years has been to purposefully destroy other small fiber sellers. What she, and multiple accomplices, will do is infiltrate a group on FaceBook, message buyers there telling them Sherry will sell better for much cheaper, and then continuously report the group until it is removed from FaceBook. Sellers have reported 60%+ losses from Sherry’s actions, with some going out of business as well.

Sherry is not only now targeting WAFA and WAFA members, at least one WAFA admin is one of Sherry’s accomplices and is working from the inside to help destroy WAFA and financially harm sellers that use WAFA. WAFA is a compromised group that is being targeted the same way Sherry destroyed other groups.

If you use WAFA, or know anyone that does, please pass on this warning. Any seller that they see or are approached by should be researched by looking them up on the Fiber Transaction Board. The FTB has banned Sherry, and all of her socks and accomplices, from the FTB after several incidents she caused. Sherry has enough red flags to her name on the FTB to put a communist march in China to shame.

So, as always, please be careful who you buy fiber from online. Unfortunately there are scam artists out there that only aim to harm the fiber arts community. And, of course, please avoid any physical contact with Sherry. She is to be considered armed and dangerous at all times. She is currently threatening to attend Rhinebeck Wool Festival. If you see her at the festival avoid her at all costs, just turn and walk away. She is dangerous, do not confront her.

*SOFT SCREECH* ALICE COME DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE WITH ME... /CLAMBERS FOR

This is a very slap-dash tips post, because a full fledged crash-course would take me much longer than a day to assemble. I think this could get someone started, but I can always answer specific questions if you have them in the future. ❤️

BJD 101: For a rundown of definitions, terminology, and origins of the hobby, I highly recommend checking out the Wikipedia article. (Warning for old vaguely spooky doll photos) I honestly wish I just read this when I got started, haha. It’s not everything, but it’s definitely a start.

Study! Read as much as you possibly can!! Especially terminology and maintenance. I highly recommend watching a bunch of unboxing and review videos- it might seem silly, but they're really helpful to get an idea of scale, how they function/pose, and how they look and feel when handled by a human. I also recommend trying to find owner photos of dolls you’re interested in, because sometimes the store photos are limited!

Join a community! Consider joining a forum like den of angels or a facebook bjd group like BJD Addicts! Exposure to the hobby is really helpful and you learn way faster. It’s fine if you’re shy, you don’t have to interact if you don’t want to- I like lurking DoA for the valuable tutorials and threads on doll brands I'm interested in. Tip: You can view some of DoA’s threads without an account by searching "[subject/doll of choice] den of angels" in google, but i got tired of that pretty fast. Signing up takes a few weeks to get approved but it's worth it for all the knowledge, even old archived stuff.

Window-shop until you drop!! I think the number one regret in the hobby is 'too many dolls, not enough time to love any of them'. So I HIGHLY recommend making wish-lists. These help a lot with avoiding impulse purchases and buyer’s remorse. There are a loooot of dolls out there, so if you've seen a huge majority of them, you'll be more picky.

For me, wishlists include both dream/grail dolls, tentative desires i’m not sure about but want to remember the name of, dolls I could never afford but feel validated writing down somewhere, and also cataloging info- measurements, wig/eye/shoe sizes, resin colors, price, current availability, dealer websites, etc. it becomes such a godsend when you shop for them. you’ll thank me later!!

I spent a lot of time browsing dealer websites like Alice's Collections, Legenddoll, Denver Doll, DOLK Station, etc- I linked some of those here. This is to see what my tastes are. Not EVERY doll company will go through all or any dealers, but it’s a good start!

If you’re the social type, going to conventions or local bjd meetups can help with getting an idea of your preferences! I accidentally walked by one at sakuracon last year and got to hold an MSD and an 11cm tiny, and that was REALLY helpful for me to realize I DID like those sizes. If other doll owners will let you hold theirs, I totally recommend it! (Always ask first, of course! Not everyone is comfortable with it!)

Go!! Slow!!! if you think you're taking it easy, go even slower. i'm so serious. it's so easy to get dazzled, over-eager, or totally overwhelmed by this hobby. especially if you have a habit of hyper focus/special interest tenancies like i do.

Patience is a virtue anyway: If you’re not buying second-hand or in-stock dolls, you will be waiting a while for your doll. Anywhere from a few months to a year, depending on the company and how backlogged they may be at any given point. Dolls are usually pre-order and take time to be made.

Some people like to just buy sculpts and let a character ‘come to them’, which is absolutely valid so if you wanna just go on a feeling that’s great!! i totally can’t afford that route most of the time, so I spend a lot of time mood-boarding for my potential dolls using pinterest and my own art to see just how in love with an idea i am and highly recommend it. I’ll ramble about this in another post soon.

Budget! They are not very cheap like 10-20$ fashion dolls at wal-mart, so those new to the hobby may be shocked.This hobby is an investment and an indulgence/luxury, as with most Nice Things. But don’t be discouraged! There are affordable dolls out there, a lot of Dealer websites offer layaway plans, and the second-hand market is always circulating things!

Note: Size of dolls often scale with price, so the bigger it is, the more expensive (and HEAVY) it will be. Some videos on BJD sizing here and here, but Flickr is crawling with height comparisons as well.

Craft or Not To Craft: Are you team 'i'm gonna sew/craft stuff/do wigs/eyes/faceups for my doll' or team 'i'm gonna buy clothes/props/faceups/wigs/etc from other artists!'? I know most people end up being a little bit of both, but these things both cost time or money (or both) so you wanna think about that in the overall price when you're considering a doll. It seems intimidating, but really, it’s the responsible thing to do. I’d rather plan for it than have a naked sad doll to feel bad about. Some personal recommendations below helped me get started:

Wigs: Monique Gold Collection wigs are affordable in the 20 dollar range, and have incredibly soft fiber! (You can find a lot of these available through ebay sellers as well)

Eyes: Lemonjellyshoppe and CandyKittenEmporium have some incredible eyes and also do custom orders!

Sewing Patterns: DGRequim on etsy and SproutyDoll have both been very nice to use and easy understand and modify to fit your doll!

When you’re savvy on the sizing of your dolls and if you’re comfy with secondhand sales, Facebook groups like BJD Addicts Sales & Commissions, BJD Lovers Sales, and BJD Adoption has a lot of people selling BJDs and accessories, oftentimes discounted for de-stashing or collection overhauls!

In addition to the other dealer sites I linked before, Dollmore (which also has an ebay shop) has a lot of options on everything!

Rec@sts and the community- This is a veeery hot button topic, but you’ll probably see a lot of it the more you get into the hobby. I don’t want to talk about it a lot because of the negativity it attracts, but to sum it up: BJDs are essentially commissioned art pieces. They are hand sculpted by an artist or small group of artists, and then cast in resin and refined and strung by hand. There are people that will cast copies of them and sell them for a very cheap profit. To put it simply, it’s theft, and it effects the livelihood of people that make a living of their art. A lot of companies stop making dolls because they can’t compete anymore. Most official doll/art related conventions (LDoll, Resin Rose, etc) ban rec@sted dolls, as well as DoA and several of the facebook groups. Be sure to read all the rules of groups/forums you join them.

A lot of people come into this hobby unaware of this and buy a bootleg doll on sites like Ebay or Aliexpress, and then get turned away from the community without understanding why. There are understandable circumstances that cause someone to end up with a bootleg doll, but it’s also important to respect the artists and creators that share their art with the public.

On that note: Sometimes people will resell 2nd hand dolls as legit when they are not. Be careful about who you buy second-hand dolls from. Also, keeping certificates of authenticity (CoAs), receipts, and original packaging is must if you ever plan to resell your doll!

I know a lot of it is a bit vague, but if you wanted my opinion on a certain brand or size of doll or budgeting tips if money is tight, I’d be happy to give my personal preferences on that separately!! Things like dragons, basilisks and wendigos spring to mind when one thinks of the dangers of the wild. I could not say that they are 100% wrong, as there are large beasts that pose quite a threat, but many let the little ones slip by. Not everything needs to be a massive, fire breathing dragon to be threatening. In fact, it is often the smaller, less imposing creatures that end up claiming unwary adventurers in the end. Some little colorful frog or an unassuming wasp that leaves its unwitting victims choking for air with swollen throats. From my experience, it is best that anyone who ventures into the wilds be wary of any strange creature they meet. If you cannot identify it, it is best to keep a distance until you know what its deal is. That usually helps, unless they can lob acid or have lethal gazes. At that point I don't know what to tell you. Of little critters that cause big problems, the Insanipede is a famous case. When originally discovered, this colorful creature dazzled its viewers and was seen as a beautiful, exotic pet. The vibrant colors, interesting patterns and unique antenna shape made for a fascinating looking critter that wealthy buyers loved to show off. No one thought twice about these creatures as they scooped them up and sold them off to rich pet owners. Sure, a few collectors would vanish in the jungles as they sought these centipedes out, but that surely had to be because of jaguars and anacondas, right? No way a foot-long centipede could do anything of that caliber, right? Well, as time went on, people began to realize that the Insanipede (which was not named that at the time) was not as wonderful as they thought.

Living the jungles and rainforests, the Insanipede has to deal with a number of threats and predators. At such a small size, it could easily become a meal for anything with teeth or a beak. To survive in this harsh world, the Insanipede turned to venom. Like other centipedes, they do not use fangs, but rather modified legs to jab into attackers. When threatened, they will flare out their extravagant antenna and raise their heads like cobras. If the opponent dares to come any closer, they will lash out and inject their potent venom. That is when things will turn towards the worst for the victim. The venom of an Insanipede is pretty much famous at this point. Some call it "Madman's Nectar" or "Crazy Juice." This is because the venom of an Insanipede attacks the nervous system of the victim. While other neurotoxins go for paralysis, this one goes a slightly different route. Rather than locking up the body, it seems to overstimulate the nervous system and assault the body with a barrage of erratic signals. Effects from this venom is twitching, seizing, spasms and, above all, uncontrollable laughter. In some parts of the world, some call the "Insanipede" the "Ticklepede" instead, and that is because of this symptom. As if being tickled, the victim will essentially curl up into a ball, fall into spasms and laugh uncontrollably for minutes on end. This is much more brutal and torturous than it sounds, though. When injected with Insanipede venom, there is no stopping the effects or even controlling them. Your entire body will seemingly be hijacked as you thrash about and laugh until your throat is raw. Your chest will burn, your muscles will ache and many receive bruises from smacking their twitching limbs on the environment. After a few minutes, the venom will subside, and the victim will regain control. Even then, lingering effects do occur. Spontaneous bouts of giggling can occur for days on end, and involuntary twitches follow as well. That is if you are in a safe environment. Explorers and collectors who are bitten in the jungles rarely survive long enough to let the effects dwindle. Turns out, being paralyzed by laughter in the middle of a ravenous jungle makes you a pretty good target. I have heard chilling tales of people who were torn to shreds by predators or swallowed whole by massive snakes, all while laughing the entire time. As the craze for these colorful centipedes grew, the more incidents of people being bit did as well. Odd stories of servants finding their masters sprawled on the floor in a fit of giggles came out, which sellers were quick to squash. Since the market was so big, those who sold these creatures wanted these undesired side effects left out of the news. When people began to die from these effects, the truth came out, and the want for these creatures plummeted. Turns out, people don't like having venomous pets slithering about, especially ones that were good at escaping their cages. As the effects of the venom were learned, the name Insanipede was placed on the species, and has remained ever since. No longer a popular pet (except for danger-loving collectors and "edgy" pet owners), the Insanipede gained new love from many different fields. Toxicologists and poison makers were intrigued by the effects, and wished to learn more about it. Others found use for it in assassinations and defamation. It is especially popular when one wishes to falsely accuse someone of insanity. A famous case that exemplifies this was when a rich baron wished to remove a troublesome wife without any harm to his reputation. As his wife spent his fortune on jewels, dresses and robes, he began to spread stories that she was a woman obsessed. Rumors that she was secretly crazy, and that he worried for her safety. No one would lock her up just on words alone, but a few subtle injections of Insanipede venom by goons during a grand ball did the trick. The cackling woman broke down before the whole crowd, and medics rushed to cart her away. The baron played the concerned, grieving husband, until his stash of Insanipedes were found by the authorities. Another use of Insanipede venom is in the field of recreational drugs. Combing it with certain liquids allows the effects to be downplayed, but still cause stimulation in the nerves. The tickling sensation it causes has been enjoyed by certain drug users, and the moniker "Crazy Juice" goes well with it. At this point I feel that I should point out that multiple doses of the venom can cause irreparable damage to the nerves and brain. A single bite, or a few stretched over the years will do nothing, but those who indulge in its effects constantly may find the symptoms lasting much, much longer. Just a warning to those who may find "Crazy Juice" as a fun time. It's all fun and games until your legs don't stop twitching. Lastly, to go with this, is the answer to the question that many have asked me: Have you ever been bitten by one? It goes in line with the study of stinging insects and animals that cause strange effects to the body. Many just have to ask if you ever felt its effects, which is one many natural historians have indeed answered with "yes." I don't know how I could truly describe it, but there is some morbid curiosity that comes with studying such creatures. When dealing with stinging wasps or venomous ants, you just have to wonder "how does it feel?" Of course I am not talking about creatures that could kill you with a sting, I am speaking of those who simply cause pain or strange (and non-permanent) effects. I already know some are wondering "why on earth would you be curious about that?!" but many have indulged in this very curiosity. Some natural historians I know have even begun constructing a pain index based on all the different stinging insects they have encountered! They actually try measuring it! So you see? It is not that weird! So when you ask, have I been bitten, I will actually have to say.....yes. I assure you that I was in no danger at the time, I was actually at the house of a colleague at the time. They focused their research on jungle based species and the rich diversity that grew within those green worlds. I had been staying at his place at the time, having recently arrived in the area to do my own studying. While we were chatting, the subject of the Insanipede came up and he had asked me if I had ever been bitten. I had told him "no," and he asked if I wanted to, which threw me for quite the loop! I, at first, was confused at the proposition, but he assured me that there was no danger. Insanipede bites only last for a few minutes, and do not cause damage if in a safe environment and spaced out properly. He had been bitten some time before, and talked about how strange the experience was. It surely was uncomfortable, but he claimed that it satisfied a bizarre curiosity he didn't realize he even had. I still jokingly curse him about this, but his talking began to infect me with that same curiosity! Surely I wouldn't want something like that to happen to me, but what would it feel like? I couldn't help but wonder at its effects, and before I knew it, I accepted his offer. Who knows what was I was thinking at the time, but I just had to see for myself. We went into his study, where he had an Insanipede somewhere in his large collection of jungle insects. Finding a safe place for this experiment to occur, he carefully removed the specimen and placed it on my arm. With some goading, the Insanipede bit me, and was quickly removed by my friend. He sealed it back in its tank and watched over me as the effects kicked in. At first, nothing happened. As the second ticked by, I assumed that my plant biology was immune to its effects. That had to be the case. That was, until, my arm started to twitch, and I started to feel an itchy sensation spread throughout my body. My arm began to shake, and pin pricks seemed jab into all parts of my body. My colleague caught me as my legs gave out, and he carefully laid me on the floor. Then the spasms kicked in, my whole body heaving and shuddering as every fiber of my being flipped out. Suddenly a giggle escaped my throat. I knew that the venom did this, so I tried my best to suppress the coming laughter. My efforts did absolutely nothing. Before I even realized it, I was laughing my cap off and had zero control over it. I was just shaking on the floor, cackling like a madwoman, and I was powerless to stop it. Even as my chest started to burn and I started gasping for air, I just kept laughing and laughing. It was kind of creepy, that feeling. I always imagined that this was what it would feel like if I was possessed. No control, no power, but yet, your body keeps moving and your voice keeps speaking. I felt trapped in my own bark, unable to regain control of this runaway cart. Then, it began to fade, thankfully. When I regained control, my limbs were sore and I was having a hard time catching my breath. There was no real, horrible pain, just the uncomfortable sensation that clung to me. I had to deal with an occasional twitch for the next few days, and I think I spooked some locals when I suddenly started giggling in the middle of the market. In the end, though, it was not an experience I regretted. Like he said, it fulfilled a curiosity I didn't know I had. So when someone asks what it feels like, I can describe it quite well! 2020 Cadillac XT6 First Look: Key Addition Doesn’t Wear Flagship Mantle

Cadillac is a brand under repair. Cynics paint a faded marque in existential peril. Optimists see light on the horizon.

The crown jewel of the General Motors empire is pulling up stakes from its Manhattan headquarters to return to the safe confines of Detroit after its four-year experiment in the big city. This followed GM firing the brand’s top executive just a few months prior. The entire lineup is under review, as the future of the current flagship CT6 sedan is in doubt when it ceases production at the Detroit-Hamtramck plant in June after barely three years on sale. The new strategy is to make Cadillac GM’s “lead electric vehicle brand,” and it will get the first vehicle from the automaker’s new BEV3 platform, which will produce a family of electric vehicles of all body styles and offered with front-, rear- and all-wheel drive.

Countering the Lincoln lineup—with its magnificent Navigator getting raves and the splendid Aviator just unveiled—you wonder what Cadillac’s counterpunch will be.

The finger in the dike appears to be the XT6 global three-row crossover unveiled at the 2019 Detroit auto show that will be built in Spring Hill, Tennessee, for sale this summer.

The aging truck-based, profit-churning Escalade SUV may be the brand’s flag-bearer, but it’s still a few years away from a redesign. Might the XT6 assume the flagship mantle in the interim, especially as Cadillac strives for global relevance?

“Escalade is an aspirational vehicle but is too large for much of the world,” Andrew Smith, executive director of Global Cadillac, said. For many years Cadillac executives have recognized the need for a unibody three-row family vehicle to keep customers from leaving the brand. The urgency for an entry in this segment has grown with low gasoline prices fueling demand for larger utility vehicles in the U.S. and an increasing appetite for SUVs in China.

Enter the XT6, a six- or seven-passenger crossover that rounds out the core lineup. The compact XT4 is in the fastest-growing segment, the XT5 is in the largest segment globally, and the XT6 is a walk-up offering more space and utility for families that don’t need the full-size Escalade.

The XT6 is practical. It doesn’t try to make a broader statement for the brand. Work started before the XT4 was finished; the XT6 was developed with the full range in mind. Executives chose to name it XT6 instead of XT7 “because we don’t see anything slotting between this and the XT5,” Smith said.

It does not replace the CT6 as the tech flagship—for one, it does not have Super Cruise, which provides hands-free driver assistance on the highway. Super Cruise will start rolling out across the Cadillac lineup in 2020—after the XT6 launch, newly minted Cadillac president Steve Carlisle said.

The goal was to tap Escalade cachet with a vehicle from the same C1 architecture as the XT5, Chevrolet Traverse, and GMC Acadia, allowing it to be made in the same plants in Spring Hill, Tennessee, as well as in Shanghai.

Under the hood, the familiar 3.6-liter V-6 has 310 hp and 271 lb-ft with cylinder deactivation and stop/start capability. It is paired to GM’s nine-speed automatic transmission, as opposed to the eight-speed in the XT5. Although it was designed to accommodate additional powertrains, execs are mum for now. Electric motors might not be in the cards. Carlisle pointed to GM’s strategy of purpose-built electrified vehicles such as the Chevy Bolt and Volt.

The XT6 has MacPherson strut front and five-link rear suspension with preloaded springs, and it gets an upgrade from the damping system in the XT5, XT6 chief engineer John Plonka said. Continuous damping is standard on the Sport model and optional on Premium Luxury. As in the XT5, the optional AWD system can be turned off for better fuel economy. A twin-clutch rear axle provides torque vectoring. AWD is standard on Sport, optional on Luxury. So although the XT6 won’t do Moab, it will tackle the road to the cottage.

To stand on its own, it had to have presence. With the XT6 riding 9.3 inches longer and 2.3 inches wider than the XT5, Smith said it was one of the first times he was asked to make a vehicle taller. All this adds weight, but after much debate it was deemed vital. And although Cadillacs have been notorious for splitting industry-standard vehicle segments in the past, the XT6 sits in the heart of the segment dimensionally.

Designed and engineered in Detroit as a global vehicle, the XT6 had to have its own look and character. Once designers had a clear picture of the target buyer, they dropped the gigantic wheels, whereupon the sketches flowed easily. XT6 is the first vehicle from scratch to adopt the softer, simpler look of the Escala concept sedan from 2016—a divergence from years of hard edges—but it retains signatures such as the vertical light arrangements. The new look resonated in customer clinics, and clay models were sent to China for input.

Cadillac designers placed emphasis on a roomy interior. All three rows had to be comfortable. In China this is often a multigenerational purchase, designed for parents in the front row, children in the second, and grandparents in the back—so the XT6 comes with a choice of two captain’s chairs or a middle bench that seats three.

This seating arrangement necessitates rerouting air vents, allowing for ample head- and legroom for adults in the back, a dual-pane sunroof, and proper acoustics for conversations from front to rear. Seats have a new structure for comfort, and the leather has a new chevron stitch pattern. The front seats are heated and cooled; the second row is heated. Additional second-row cupholders are in a pull-out drawer under a center console, which has separate climate controls. There are outlets to power devices throughout.

Second-row seats pitch, tilt, and slide to access the back row, or you can go between the captain’s chairs. Cargo area buttons flip down headrests and fold the third and second rows completely flat—perfect for that Home Depot run. The well for the spare tire can also store the security shade. Above the well is a storage bin with a cover that stays in position at any angle—handy for tall groceries.

There are two models: Sport and Premium Luxury. Both can be ordered with a Platinum package. Luxury adopts the Escala face more closely with a lot of bright trim. Sport has a black mesh grille inspired by the V Series and more black trim for a murdered-out look. Standard wheels are 20 inches, with optional 21s for Sport.

Inside is a new-look steering wheel and upgraded instrument panel, but the overall appearance is similar to XT5 with some shuffling of how materials such as microsuede, engineered wood, and copper carbon-fiber weave are used.

The next-generation CUE infotainment system bows on the 2020 model with a rotary dial that moves like a joystick, or you can touch the 8.0-inch screen. And yes, there are volume knobs and an 8- or 14-speaker Bose sound system. Connectivity includes wireless phone charging and NFC technology to allow Bluetooth pairing of Android phones with a tap.

Although there’s no Super Cruise, driver-assist systems include automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, parking assist, lane departure warning, steering assist, and night vision with automatic high-beam and optional adaptive headlights, which are expected to become legal in the U.S. soon. Haptic safety alerts vibrate the seat.

The first pre-production vehicle rolled off the line in Spring Hill in September. Employees named it Elvis as it left Tennessee for a dealer meeting in Las Vegas. Dealers have clamored for it ever since, Smith said. The Shanghai plant built its first model in December.

The XT6 goes on sale this spring, competing against the Audi Q7, Infiniti QX60, and Volvo XC90. Competitive pricing means it could start anywhere from $45,000 to $55,000 and still slot easily between the XT5 ($42,690–$66,890) and the Escalade, which opens at $76,490.

Relocating Cadillac headquarters to Detroit will help with the launch of the XT6, and there are plans for a new model every six months, Carlisle said. Time in New York was well spent, he said, but “having the makers and sellers in close proximity will only help.”

Warning to all fiber artists

This is an updated and abbreviated post to warn all fiber artists about a scam artist that is currently fleecing the community. I will keep this post pinned and updated with new information as it becomes available.

There is a scam artist in the fiber arts community named Sherry Tenney. She sells fleece and wool on facebook and etsy. She frequently does not send the fleece or wool she has been paid for, and plays the customer until the time window for a dispute is passed. Afterward, if you continue to contact her, she will leave unhinged, violent, and threatening messages to you, doxx your name and address on her facebook live streams and posts, and still refuse to either send product or refund you.

A lot of complaints have also come forward about the product she does send out. It is frequently moth and larvae infested, contains large amounts of shit, completely matted fleeces, or are trimmings that are completely unusable. If you have received product from her you must quarantine it and freeze and bake it to destroy the moths and larvae.

She frequently tries to force smaller fleece sellers from small farms to go out of business to purchase their fleeces for cheap. She, with the help of several associates and sock puppet accounts, will contact people in the groups of small sellers and offer them fleeces for cheaper and claim they will be of better quality. She, and her associates and sock puppets, will then report the small farms public media repeatedly until they are taken down, thus preventing the farmer/shepard from being able to sell. Several small farms have confirmed losses of nearly 60% in sales due to her actions. Some have unfortunately gone out of business due to her actions as well.

Sherry has also focused her scam on small, independent suppliers as well. She will orders goods and services and then, once received, she will refuse to pay for them, or dispute charges with PayPal and her credit card. She will claim the items were never received, were not what she ordered, or were damaged. She will then sell them to gain a full, one hundred percent profit on the goods. If she contacts you to purchase goods, or to do labor on her farm, she will not pay you. Shearers on the east coast will not work with her or shear her sheep any longer because of her actions, and she depended on a young charity shearer to save her sheep from heat stroke this year.

Sherry Tenney is also currently trying to sell lambs on facebook (against facebook rules). Her animals do not have official papers (she does not control breeding, her ewes and rams are mixed together at all times), she does not know the breed of most of her sheep (lots of random breeds together with unknown breeding has resulted in unknown crossbreeds and a large quantity of inbreeding), and her sheep/lambs do not have the proper veterinary certificates that would be required for transport.

She has changed her group name, and has started randomly posting stolen food recipes with stolen photos, in an attempt to confuse people and attract new victims to her group. Please warn others. Yes, she frequently uses the word ‘primitive’ for many things. She is that kind of person.

Sherry was selling in the FB group WAFA via pm, and was called out several times by customers who had received moth ridden fleece that was shorted weight.
